her courses were late - later than they'd ever been. she hadn't held this information lightly in her heart, it was all she'd been thinking about for weeks. and then, that morning as she laid in bed with ernst, her husband fast asleep, she'd felt it. it had started out as a something akin to butterflies, but had developed into a definite thing inside her. her chest felt full to bursting - both with excitement and pride - and she knew she couldn't wait a moment longer.

gwen rolled over in ernst's arms, shifting to straddle him gently. "husband," she whispered, brushing his dark curls out of his face fondly. there was a definite curve to her belly at this angle, especially with her naked form on show, but not one that instantly screamed with child. it very well could've been a few overindulgences at dinner which formed the mound, but she knew better.

"my love," she cooed again, smiling down at him as her thighs framed his torso whilst she sat lightly on his abdomen.

It was his first time on land, and it was amazing. He knew he had to be back in the water before the moon rose in the night sky, or he’d risk exposing himself to humans. But at the moment, Isaac didn’t care. He was so happy to be up on land, and just exploring. Being a merman, he loved the sea, but there was something about land, where humans existed, that always called to him. And it had for years. He didn’t know why, but now here he was. With his father’s and mother’s approval. As long as he promised to not stay for more than a week. He had also been forced to find a good underwater cave where he could spend his nights. Just so he wouldn’t be found out, or capture. The not being captured was the most important part, since he was meant to take over ruling Atlantis, once his parents decided to step down.
