What is satb au?

SATB AU, or 'Start At The Beginning' AU is an AU me and Ember made together.

It only really started because I wanted an AU that primarily focused on ships in the series. That's what this AU is! An AU where there's a ship focus on each storyline.

It used to be called 'Interconnected AU' because each of the storylines connect in one way or another. They all have their own paths here, but they all have a domino effect towards each other.

The reason for why we changed it to 'Start At The Beginning' will not be talked about rn 🤫

But in short, the storylines go like this!

CUDDLEFISH :: A story about two detectives solving crimes in their town. It's a slowburn romance since one of them (John) refuses to open up to anyone and is upset when he is assigned to work alongside a new and cheery intern, Ronny

HEARTPOCKET :: your average coffee shop romance! Love at first sight when Jessie, a barista, meets a coffee shop's regular, Page!

BANDAID :: After the friend group drifted apart years ago, Daniel tries to get his friends back together by reaching out to them! Daniel, Bianca, and Charlie manage to get back in touch, but things have changed a lot from when they were kids... At least they have for Bianca and Charlie, Daniel maybe not so much.

CHERRYGOLD :: A story about a currently ongoing relationship that starts taking on some trouble as memories resurface. Michael isn't ready to face the past that he has tried so hard to push away. Francis, however, is willing to face anything and get through it if it means sticking with his beloved.

And a bonus, platonic ship! (AND MY FAVORITE OUT OF THESE)

FLOWERGRAVE :: Kenny has a very rough life. Living with his abusive brother and needing to literally fight to survive. His only sanctuary in the past was a community garden that had wilted and been abandoned. However, when he goes back to it one day, he sees that someone is nursing it back to health. He meets the garden's (and his) savior, Lily, a ray of sunshine ready to make a new friend.

Currently the only designs I have for them are Kenny and Lily!

Olympia- Olympia Soirée

While she can't really fight and is a bit naive as a result of her extremely sheltered life, she's a pure gem with a great personality that can range from very sweet and kind to very sassy and funny, which is something I love uwu. I should also mention that she got a POUTY sprite, which is sooo adorable! Aside from her personality traits, I adore her unique design. She's the most beautiful MC I've ever seen, and the fact that her hair changes color depending on the love interest she's dating only adds to her ethereal beauty.

Liliana- Piofiore

Lili is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside; a gentle and kind girl, who is also really proactive. She's naive occasionally, like most heroines, but she's quite mature and insightful most of the time. One of the reasons why I love her is her eagerness to learn new things in order to grow as a person and protect others. Learning English as a church girl in 1926 and wanting to learn martial arts so as to keep others safe in case of an attack couldn't have been easy, but at least she tried, so I appreciate her effort and selflessness; she's hardworking and ambitious, which are ideal qualities.

Haruka- Moshikami

People can dislike whatever they want, but NOT Haruka. Think of the worst possible scenarios then put them in a game… yeah, that’s basically Moshikami. She is the heroine with the worst fate possible, and just thinking about what happened to her makes me feel terrible. She wasn't even a trouble seeker or a dummy; everything she had to go through was incredibly unfair and horrible, but she still found the strength to smile and be positive in order to help others with their problems, even though everything in her life was going downhill. I've never seen a character as mentally strong as her, and while this is admirable, I can't help but feel uneasy, given that this game should not have been an otome one. If heroine cutie pie, why make her suffer?
