it's so much easier to speak with strangers than a lot of people here paint it as. it just takes time and energy to create the base of a relationship once you reach out - more often than not, they aren't going to react with hostility, it's more of a pleasant surprise to realize they've caught someone's attention (and they may be a bit shy from that as well). especially if you show intrigue in something familiar to them and indulge them toward the beginning. even if this isn't a relationship that lasts, and remains more of a momentary reprieve, there is still such value in that - brightening someone's day with a positive comment upon their art or fashion, or asking them for advice on [some sort of task] which makes them feel helpful, or whatever else. sure, i have had some embarrassing moments when i tried to reach out to some who weren't willing and it ended in a shared "this is weird", but there are still plenty of kind things that i remember far more vividly. whether i was giving them something, or they helped me out, those memories are what last (and what i have begun to write down) because they mean so much more to me. is isolation worth not even having these mixed moments (more positive than not) to reflect upon? are you so afraid to reach out to people and dedicate time toward that relationship that you'd rather stay lonely? even in adulthood, you can find friends. it's easier in a school setting, of course, but it's still more than possible elsewhere.

i’m finally home ya’ll lol didn’t get to write like i wanted due to the 4 of us getting c.vid for the first part of our vacation then we had things planned to make up the time lost. some stuff also went sideways at home, my fave aunt passed away & an uncle from the other side of my family did too. :( anyway i’ll be around regularly now, i can’t wait to get things going here again

so uh here’s a lil update on my lil situation 

so today my dad tested positive for c.vid at the walk-in clinic, and i had to be sent home from my work because i was exposed to c.vid from my dad. long story short, my supervisor contacted my boss and my boss said according to the company’s guidelines, as long as i’m not showing symptoms of c.vid i can continue to work because i’m fully vaccinated. we are also short handed so they really could use my help, but at the same time isn’t it dangerous to let an exposed person into the work place? even if they are vaccinated and wearing a mask? idk i’m just,, iufbiuodhs

just remembered like...twoooooo ish days ago someone came into my work and i was talking to her (this is a student mind you) and she mentioned how she had to miss a week of school (just last week i think??? or at least recently) because her whole family got c.vid and shes like ‘oh what can you do ha ha’ and i literately could not respond to her i just stared
