Critical Role C1E59

PIKE!!! She's gone for real after this but I was so happy to see her.

The feywild is always such a fun place to explore it's so whimsical and threatening I ended up being very worried about the parties' safety.

The characters introduced in this episode are all neat Nala is cool Garmili is tricky.

I'm kinda sad I couldn't find much fanart about tree Percy.

And finally, this is when Vex and Vax's backstory finally comes into light I'm very excited to see the next episode because if I recall correctly it has one of my favorite exchanges in the whole series.

i love perc’ahlia bc it feels like it already started before laura or taliesin fully realized. like i feel pretty okay saying marisha hadn’t seriously considered vaxleth until after vax kissed keyleth, at which point the ship became a conscious choice on both actors’s sides. but with perc’ahlia, you can see that laura and tal just enjoy roleplaying together, and then after vex dies it’s almost like taliesin is befuddled by his own character’s reactions, like he’s sitting there going ‘why does percy care so much? why is percy so bothered?’ and laura will finish a scene with percy and then be wondering ‘why is vex so giddy right now? why is she in such a good mood all of a sudden?’ and i love that so, so much, because then they enter the feywild and both actors and characters get to have that total fanfic moment of ‘oh. oh.’

It’s so fitting that Laura’s character was the first out of Vox Machina to meet Artagan in the Feywild

He has is a sketchbook of his own! Imagine the Traveler teaching Jester how to draw, and them comparing their art 🥺

Gosh the difference in self-confidence and seeming maturity between Traveler-mode Artagan and Garmelie-mode Artagan is quite astounding
