(The promised missing scene from Post Traumatic Love. Hope you like it @frunbuns!)
Greez isn’t surprised when BD eventually takes off. Cal’s been gone for hours, and even though he told the kid not to hurry, he’s getting a little antsy himself. Not that he follows BD – mostly because he’s terrified of getting lost and stumbling upon an Imperial patrol. Nah, he’ll stick with Sister Taske. The two of them are making dinner and sharing tea, and she’s a good listener.
And a surprisingly wicked storyteller.
To Greez’s surprise, BD returns quickly. He bounces and beeps and twirls for attention.
“My, my little one,” Sister Taske says. “Whatever is the matter?”
Greez puts down his tea and hurries over. “Is it Cal? Is something wrong? Does he need me?”
BD doesn’t waste time with explanations. He takes off with a whistle and a thruster blast, leaving Greez to hurry after him. They approach Cere’s room. Greez can’t hear anything – no smashing like he expected, or loud crying, which he also expected. No, there’s complete silence, aside from the distant howl of the wind.
“BD, maybe we shouldn’t – ”
BD opens the door and waits for Greez. Nervous now, Greez slides inside. The room is in one piece and so full of Cere he nearly loses it right there.
And then he sees Cal.
BD hurries to him, sitting protectively at Cal’s side. Cal is flat out on his stomach on Cere’s meditation cushions, fast, fast asleep. Head turned to one side, his face is splotchy, damp eyelashes clumped together. He’s not moving or talking. The sound of his breathing is slow and steady. He’s in the kind of sleep Greez knows is a sign he is completely exhausted. Like, within an inch of his life exhausted.
It’s the most beautiful thing Greez has seen in too long, and he lets out a breath he forgot he was holding.
“Thank the stars,” he murmurs.
BD rushes over to him, nudges his leg and pushes him toward Cere’s bed… or, more precisely, a blanket on her bed. Now he gets what BD’s telling him, and why he brought him here. Jedha is cold, and Cal will be chilly if he’s not under a blanket. He doesn’t need anything disturbing his rest.
“Okay, BD, I got him,” Greez says, keeping his voice low even though he knows nothing can wake Cal right now. He’s in that ‘dead to the galaxy’ sleep of his that always catches him in the end. Greez grabs the blanket and places it over Cal, tucking him in. Cal doesn’t so much as twitch.
BD lets out a very quiet victory song. Greez gives him a gentle pet with one hand, while running another through Cal’s hair. “There you go, kid,” he says. “This is what you needed.”
Cal takes a deep, shuddering breath, but doesn’t awaken. In fact, Greez is pretty sure he relaxes further into his pillow-and-blanket cocoon.
Greez pulls back and holds out an arm for BD. “You can check on him later. I’m sure Sister Taske’s got something you can scan.”
BD presses his head to Cal’s before jumping onto Greez’s back. Together, they leave Cal to get all the sleep he needs.

Rain.
A stupid amount of rain. Not that it bothered you particularly or anything, its just your speeder was rusted at this point and left at home, and you were so used to the dry weather and walking everywhere that it had become a habit to walk to the market whenever you needed anything.
It was a small town that you lived on the outskirts of, on a small planet, in a small system on the outer rim of the galaxy. The town you live in was mainly made of wet grey bricks -now covered in blooming green moss. You stand on the steps of a small grocer, a small shel of wet rock your only cover. The grocer - if you can even call it that, it's just old Syue with her imports and exports of the week, sometimes it's fresh produce and sometimes it's best to stick to the non-perishables.
As you wait foolishly for the rain to stop you think back to two weeks ago - a strange disturbance in the force, something bright, energetic… terrifying. The small planet was your only refuge, growing tired of moving around - this small gem was your lifeline in a never ending cesspool of politics. That presence in the force was alluring to you, your mind constantly flicking back to it. What was it?
“Fuck it.” You say. You bolt down the street, groceries clutched in hand. You turn the corner ducking under cover whenever you can. Eventually you reached your small house, on the very edge of town. Surrounded by foliage and dense grass your house stood defiantly against the rain, brave little thing.
You kick off your shoes and dump the groceries on the counter. You squeeze out as much water from your hair as you can. You glance at the clock.
“Ugh.” It was time for work. I mean as bad as jobs go, this wasn’t the worst. You can’t really find jobs as a jedi can you? No - you can’t, and working as a waitress isn’t horrible?
Your blanket and pillows still remain on the floor from when you had fallen out of bed this morning, a vivid dream burned into your eyes. A bright red energy in a field of dull grey reaching out to you. “No” you say in your dream. The red energy creeps forward. “Who are you?” No reply. Suddenly the energy takes a vague form, it's a man. You can barely hear him say something. “Pardon?” you say.
“...who are you…” you barely catch the man say - then all of a sudden you flung from your dream and you wake up on your floor.
Dreams like this have been clouding your mind for months now. You're barely getting any quality sleep.
~
Jido Kara’s Tavern
For the most part, this evening was the busiest shift you had seen in a long time. Practically the whole town was there. You speculate its cause of the most recent import of alcohol, courtesy of Old Syue.
Wring the rag between your hands as you sit down your boss sits next to you.
“Why don’t you call off early? Rica is coming in to cover your shift.”
“Okay, sure. I’ll just get a drink first.”
He gives you a pat on the back and waddles off to the back. A game of sport is playing on the tiny tv at one side of the bar - close to the door where everyone is huddled. Cries of yay’s and boo’s chorus through the bar as the town's favourite team play. Obviously, you choose the opposite end of the bar to sit. The bartender, Deonor, pours you a drink and winks.
“On the house.”
You smile gratefully, unable to make small talk. He doesn’t chide you for it. What seems like an hour goes by when you occasionally look at the game and sipping at your drink. Deonor refills it. Then suddenly you see a head of red hair poke through the crowd which surrounds the small tv. He boo’s and cheers with the rest of the group. You wave Deonor over.
“Do you know that guy?” You carefully point to him.
Deonor thinks for a second. “Hm yeah, he’s new. He’s been coming in for the last two weeks getting drinks if I remember correctly.”
“Oh right.” You say as nonchalantly as possible.
“Why?”
“Oh, no reason, just curious.” You say lost in thought. Why does he feel familiar? You can’t help but stare at the back of his head. Maybe if you stare long enough you’ll know.
“I think he was looking for someone.” Deonor says. But you barely hear him, too intent on this man’s familiarity.
“Uh huh.” you say, taking another sip of your drink. You can barely make out his face, only his hair is visible over the small ground of sports enthusiasts.
“I think he was looking for you.” Deonor says.
You almost spit out your drink. “I’m sorry what?” just as you say this you lock eyes with the man. You can almost feel your face flush as his bright eyes scan your face. But just as quickly as he looked at you, you turned around and high-tail for the back exit.
“Wait” the man says over the crowd.
You ignore him speed walking back home. Why did he feel so familiar? Just to be sure you reach out with the force scanning the crowd and sure enough, a bright red presence at the centre of it all.

what we have now
Cal awakens on Tanalorr, and what seems to be a perfect day begins to go wrong. Post-Jedi: Survivor with spoilers. Rated PG-13ish for established Merrical. Angst, grief, hope, love, ~2450 words.
--
The morning light of Tanalorr filters gently through cracks in the temple ceiling, sending down soft, gold-edged rays through the small private chamber where he and Merrin have set up a room.  Cal mumbles, rolling over on the makeshift bed and taking half the covers with him.  Merrin is warm and sleepy beside him, her skin soft against his own, and he draws her closer, breathing in the sweet smell of her hair.
“We have slept in again, Cal Kestis,” she murmurs throatily.  “I blame you, of course.  You kept me from my rest.”
“Someone was awfully frisky last night, I seem to recall,” Cal yawns.  He hardens slightly, remembering her insistent kisses last night, how she eagerly undressed him, her hands, her mouth, her --
He lets out a long breath.  They have work to do this morning with the others, and he knows he shouldn’t let himself get distracted.  No matter how much he might like to be.
“Still thinking about it, are you?” Merrin asks, amused.  She rolls over and props herself up on one elbow, leaning over him.  He drinks in the sight of her, soft gray skin and dark tattoos, a wicked grin.  He bites back a groan.
Her gaze flicks back, and she peers under the covers with a knowing smirk.  “Ahh.  I like the way you think.”
“Hey, come on, now.  We promised we’d check in,” Cal half-protests.  “The Path needs us to get this housing ready, and we need to have that meeting with --”
The familiar sound of BD’s servos whirs as the little droid hops over to them, blithely ignorant of their nudity and innuendo.  Cal sighs, drawing the sheets higher over Merrin and himself.
“Cal, my dear Jedi, you said you were going to teach the droid to knock.”
“I’ve been busy!” Cal says.  Merrin simply raises one eyebrow and gives him one of those looks, the sort that makes his brain short-circuit and his pulse quicken.  For a moment he’s tempted to tell BD-1 to come back later, that he’d made a mistake with the time and really the meeting with Cere was for tomorrow, not today.
But something disquiets him, a frisson rippling through the Force, there and gone before he can put a name to it.  His arousal vanishes, and he looks away from Merrin, unsettled.
“Cal?”  She sits up, the blanket falling down around her waist, the golden light bathing her skin in a warm glow.  “What is it?”
He shakes his head.  “I don’t know.  Something felt… off.  I’m not sure what it means.”  He sighs.  “Probably just guilt about how late we’re going to be.  We’d better get going.  Make it up to you later?”  He gives her a small smile, and is gratified when she returns it twofold.
Cal sends BD-1 off to wait as they get dressed, but they meet him at the front of the temple, where he is waiting patiently for them.  Cal bends to lower a hand and BD clambers up to his regular perch as they step outside into the fresh air.  The glorious Tanalorr morning greets them with misty light, and brightly colored banners ripple from the temple in the breeze.  Gardens stretch alongside the path, tall leaves fluttering in the wind, fruits and vegetables beginning to swell and show in colors of scarlet, violet, emerald.
The three of them travel through the gardens and back along the creekside path leading away from the temple.  Merrin seems content, but Cal cannot help but look over his shoulder as they walk.  There is only BD-1 there, cheerful and loyal as always, but there’s still a nagging feeling, something skittering at the back of his mind.
He tries to ignore it, his feet tracing the familiar trail alongside Anchorite Creek.  They cross the new stone bridge, a beautiful melding of angular Jedha architecture with jeweled motifs unique to Tanalorr; the lilac-blossomed larien tree, the clever waterhare, the carvings of the Koboh Abyss.  He always appreciates this bridge and the way his footsteps ring on the stone, but for a moment it almost feels like its solid arch tremors beneath his feet.
“Did you feel that?” Cal asks.  BD lets out a beep in the negative.  Merrin shakes her head.
“Feel what?”
“Nothing,” Cal says, stone solid beneath his feet, and he tries to believe himself.  We’ve made a perfect world.  What is there to worry about?
They meet back up with the others at the village, which is already bustling at this early hour.  The sight cheers him, and his odd mood fades into the background.  He takes a deep breath and smells the morning meal on the breeze, rich with spice; Pyloon’s of Tanalorr keeps Greez busy, even with several residents working with him as sous chefs.  He and Merrin will have to stop in for a bowl of waterhare stew when they next get a chance.
They keep heading toward their destination, passing Narkis Anchorites working with refugees from the Hidden Path, raising another set of new residences.  Cal nods to them as they pass.  He recognizes some of the Anchorites from Jedha.  There are new members of their order, too, only identifiable by the Tanalorr-lilac stripe they wear on their sleeves.
Not everyone wears the garb of the Anchorites; droids roll or walk along the dirt streets on their business, and plenty of people with bare faces wave as they make their way to the Archives.  A few of the refugees he recognizes from his days as a Padawan, other survivors besides himself: a young woman with her dark hair in tight braids, a tall man with olive skin and piercing blue eyes.  Pride unfurls in his chest, pride and a fierce protectiveness.  They’ve built so much here.  And there is still so much more to do.
Many of those who cannot help in the physical efforts of building work in the new Archives, cataloging their growing knowledge of the Jedi Order and its history, and it’s here they head, Cal keenly aware they’re late.  That must be the reason he’s feeling off.  He knows exactly which slightly disappointed look Cere will be wearing --
The smell of smoke, ash dancing in the flame-choked air, red and black --
Cal staggers, sagging against the door as it slides open.  “Cal!” Merrin cries, slipping a steady arm around him.  On his other side, a familiar man in robes braces against him, helping Merrin to keep him upright.
“Cal!  Have you taken ill?” Master Cordova asks.  Together he and Merrin lead Cal to a seat near one of the desks, where he bows over himself, breathing hard.  BD-1 chitters at his shoulder.
“You don’t feel it?” Cal gasps.  He holds out his hands, ash coating his fingertips.  He doesn’t understand.  “Look at my hands.  There’s something terribly wrong --”
Merrin and Master Cordova look at his hands, but they seem worried, exchanging concerned glances.  “I will get Cere,” says Merrin, and claps Cal on the shoulder, her hand squeezing him tightly against his jacket.  “We will figure this out, Cal.  Together.”
Cal looks down at his hands again.  They’re clean once more, and his head reels.  What’s happening?
“Tell me what you sense, Cal,” says Master Cordova, kneeling carefully beside him.  His brown eyes, always so wise, seem troubled.  Cal knows it’s because of him.  He tries to center himself, reaching for the Force, but it feels muted and hazy, muffled somehow.
“I saw fire,” he manages.  “Fire and ash.”
“A memory, perhaps sensed by your psychometry?”
“No, this didn’t feel like a normal memory,” Cal tries to explain.  “It feels like it’s something that doesn’t belong here.  Like something that isn’t real, that never happened.”  He gazes around the room, drawing comfort from its soaring shelves of twinkling datapads, the silver globes lighting the hall, the sweet smell of larienwood incense.  He tries to ground himself in the library, in all they’ve built here.  “It couldn’t have happened.”
“It may have been a vision, then,” Cordova muses, getting to his feet and sitting down on the chair beside Cal.  “The Force may be sending you a message of things to come.”
Cal shakes his head in frustration.  He’s not a Padawan.  “I know we can have visions from the Force, Master Cordova, but I always feel so tightly bound to the past.  I’ve only had visions of the future in places where the Force is magnified and concentrated, like Ilum or Bogano….  The past has always been so much easier for me to access.  This didn’t feel the same way.”
“Perhaps that’s changing,” says Cere.  Cal lifts his head to greet her, and their eyes meet--
She’s so light in his arms.  How could someone so powerful, so strong, be so, so still?
Cal recoils, panting.  The smoke chokes him, blinds him, engulfs him.  He’s lost in it, reaching for his lightsaber, finding nothing there.  He cups his hands around his mouth, calling, hoping, begging.  “Cere -- I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I should have been there --”
“You okay there, scrapper?”
Cal opens his eyes.  The smoke has vanished as quickly as it had come, and the temple soars over him, golden daylight streaming through its windows.  Bode gives him a broad, easy grin, smile lines crinkling at the edges of his eyes.  Dagan’s lightsaber hums in his palm.
“This isn’t right,” Cal whispers.  “It isn’t real --”
He raises a gloved hand.  Imperial black against crisp ISB white.  He lets the frantic rage shriek through him, a desperate eruption of pure hate boiling forth, he wants this, needs this, a weapon, he’s nothing but a weapon --
The temple shatters around him, Tanalorr shatters around him, and he remembers everything.
***
“Cal!  Cal.  Come back to me, Jedi,” Merrin murmurs throatily.  He realizes her arms are around him, holding him tight against her chest, his cheek nestled against the soft skin between her breasts.  Her twin heartbeats pulse in his ear, a metronome grounding him here, now, safe.
For a moment, they simply stay there.
“What happened?” she asks in a soft voice.
Cal reluctantly sits up, nearly hitting his head on the ceiling.  They’re in the Mantis, back in one of the narrow bunks they insist on squeezing into together.  He knows they could sleep separately, but neither of them like to do it anymore if they can help it.
“I dreamed of Tanalorr.  The way it should have been.”  His throat constricts, and it takes him a moment to steady his voice.  “It was beautiful, Merrin.”  He wants to tell her everything.  The new Archives, the lush gardens, the voices in the streets; Cordova… Cere….
Instead he buries his face in the crook between her neck and her shoulder, and breathes in, and breathes out.
She strokes his hair gently, fingers twining through the strands that tickle the back of his neck.  She presses a kiss to his forehead.  “We will make it so, Cal.  I promise you.”
“Maybe.  I hope so.  But she’ll never see it.”
Her fingers still, then shift for her hand to cup his cheek.  She slowly lifts his chin until he’s gazing at her, her dark eyes bright.  “No, she will not.  That is something we cannot change.”  She blinks, and a flicker of her own grief passes across her face, a painful mirror to his own.  “I miss her too.  Cere and Cordova both, but Cere… she was part of our family.”  Tears glisten, unshed but unashamed, in her eyes.
They haven’t talked of Cere this openly in weeks, busy with fighting the Empire on Koboh and taking care of Kata.  But now the loss is here, sitting in the space between their breath, and the wound aches so, so much.
Anger flares within him.  How can his mind have given him so much detail of Tanalorr vibrant and growing, of a world where they’d truly won, and yet so little of Cere?  When he would have given anything to see her again, to speak with her -- to apologize --
But he remembers how his mind had tried to tell him he was dreaming, and his heart sinks.  He had known.  Even in the midst of a dream that felt realer than real, he’d known.
There is no bringing Cere back, not even in a dream.
Cal swallows, feeling sick.  It’s all a mess, and he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to feel about any of it.  The Jedi Order would tell him to let it go, but the Jedi Order itself is dust and ashes, and he feels the feelings anyway, Order be damned.
Grief feels different now than it did as a child.  It’s no less confusing than it was then, but back then he’d been so desperate to survive, so powerless to protect himself, that he’d shoved the feelings down as far as they could go.  Now the feelings and the Force are both as powerful as they’ve ever been.  He feels the Force crackling throughout him, body and soul, straining to be used.  He’s healed his connection… but is that such a good thing, now?  There’s violence poisoning his connection, an intoxicating rage, a searing hatred, the darkness…
He shivers, and he steps away from it, for now.
“I don’t know--” His breath hitches.  There’s water tracking at the edges of his eyelids, a burn in his chest.  “Even through everything, even when we were apart, she was always guiding me.  And without her, I don’t know if I can be enough.  For Tanalorr… for the Path… for Kata….”  Imperial black on ISB white.  “For you.”
“You are enough for me, Cal Kestis,” she says, and he sinks back into her embrace.
“But the future --”
“Is what we can make of it,” Merrin says, her voice steely.  “We will find the way together, you and I.  That is how we will honor Cere and Cordova.  And the Jedi, and my sisters.  And if you stumble in the darkness, I will lead you by the hand; and if I do not see the path, your light will guide me.”  She kisses him, her open mouth slanting over his, then pulls back.  She blazes with determination, so beautiful he can hardly bear it.  “Do you trust me?”
The world falls away, and Cal lets it.  There is only this moment, shimmering between them.  The grief and darkness will be there waiting for him when he returns, he knows that much, but for now, there is only Merrin.  He takes her hand in his, and he knows that no matter what lies ahead, the two of them are bound together.
“Always,” he whispers.
She smiles, and the world feels perfect once again.

I am weirdly invested in this au and I want to ask what about the rebellion? Do they still have the same goal as canon? How do the rest of the jedi fare? What about luke and leia? I'm assuming obi-wan doesn't know vader is anakin at that period of time so are you going to do some reveal? Oh also what is the empire's like from citizens perspective? Sorry I ask a lot I just like this so much I need to know more detail!!!
*cracks fingers* Okay, so that is quite alot of asks, but lemme try and break them down:
The Rebellion still has the same goals as in-canon; restore the Republic, overthrow Imperial rule. That said, they are having a far harder time of things. For one, the destruction of the first Death Star never occurs, because Vader cut the funding for the superweapon on Thrawn's insistence- which, in turn, severely hampers the Rebellion's overall unity as a faction, since they no longer have that 'great victory' to build them up into a stronger and more-popular faction. Additionally, Thrawn's pro-alien reforms have split the galactic population. In canon, it is mostly condensed down to a largely-humano-centric Empire against basically a largely-alien Rebellion. In 'Built To Serve', however, you are just as likely to find a Twi'lek or a Rodian Stormtrooper as you are to find a Human Stormtrooper. This, naturally, deprives the Rebellion of one of their largest recruitment 'pools from the canon timeline: the oppressed alien masses.
One other change is that Galen and Jyn Erso never sided with the Rebels; the Death Star project was scrapped, and Galen's technology was turned back towards clean renewable energy. This kept him on-side with the new Empire, and never separated him from his wife and daughter. Jyn, now living a new life as the daughter of a high-ranking imperial scientist, got the best education and connections, allowing her to rise rapidly through the ranks of the Imperial Navy. She now serves as one of Tarkin's many government officials.
The Jedi are far worse-off in this timeline. Whilst Palpatine mostly concerned himself with the Empire and left Vader to deal with any Jedi that dares to spring out of hiding, in this AU Emperor Vader leaves the broad-strokes of Imperial policy to Thrawn and Tarkin. This, in turn, leaves Vader with more time to organize and arrange the Imperial Inquisitors under the leadership of Grand Inquisitor Barriss Offee (the only person who hates the Jedi perhaps even-more than Vader himself). This newly invigorated Inquisitorius, in combination with the massive ISB propaganda effort to paint the Jedi as treasonous manipulative b*stards post-Order 66, has alienated the Jedi survivors from much of the support they might have had in-canon. Kanan Jarrus, Cal Kestis, Cere Junda and Ezra Bridger were all killed in this new timeline by the hand of Grand Inquisitor Offee, as was Darth Maul during an ill-planned assassination attempt against Emperor Vader. Ahsoka Tano remains alive as the head of the Rebel spy-network, 'Fulcrum'. Yoda, similarly, remains in hiding on Dagobah.
The exception to this blanket persecution is the planet of Ahch-To. In this new timeline, Ahch-To is used as a demilitarised 'reservation' for maybe 10% of all captured Jedi. The imprisoned Jedi are disarmed, installed with tracking chips, and released onto the planet's surface. There, they can meditate on the Force, practice their beliefs, and live out a relatively peaceful, low-tech, primitive life... on a number of conditions... The reservation of Ahch-To is led by the renowned former Jedi master Luminara Unduli, who preaches nonviolence and pacifism whilst firmly dissuading any talk of escape or insurrection; like it or not, Vader has given them all a second chance after Order 66, to live simple (albeit heavily-monitored) lives. Additionally, any newly-discovered Force-sensitive who fails examination under the Imperial Inquisitorius' exacting standards is dumped in the hands of the Ahch-To Jedi reservation.
Luka and Leia are unchanged from canon - Leia is still the outspoken daughter of Senator Organa (who, coincidentally, has been having a harder time getting supplies off-of Alderaan to the Rebels, now that the 'Death-Star-carcass-turned-Imperial-Navy-starport' is parked right over his planet), and Luke is still a farmboy on Tatooine.
Obi-Wan never had his little adventure from his 'Kenobi' series, and remains in-hiding on Tatooine. He still communed with Qui-Gon Jinn as a Force Ghost, and learnt how to become a Force Ghost himself, but he never had that final fight with Vader. Indeed, Leia herself was never kidnapped as a young girl; instead, her father Bail just told her about Obi-Wan's many adventures. As for if Obi-Wan discovered Vader is Anakin... ehhh, let's just say that Obi-Wan never made that connection. He'd still think that he killed Anakin on Mustafar, and that Vader is some other Sith Lord who stole power 'out from under Palpatine at the final minute. Or, atleast, that is his best-guess. He doesn't exactly have an abundance of intelligence on a backwater like Tatooine.
The Empire, from the prospective of an average citizen, is a marked improvement on the Old Republic. Granted, they are under intense scrutiny and subjected to a near-dizzying amount of Imperial propaganda, but they are *safe*. The Clone Wars are over, the Jedi traitors are gone or in-hiding or on the 'reservation' world of Ahch-To, and the old corruption and greed of the Republic Senate has been expunged (for the most part). The Hutt cartels are far less aggressive and daring, with crime at an all-time galactic 'low. Slavery is still a problem, especially in the Outer Rim, but worlds like Ryloth and Shili are firmly slavery-free, and firmly loyal to the Empire. Alien and otherwise nonhuman citizens are far more satisfied with the new Imperial system, finding it as a source of excellent new career paths with alot of upwards mobility. Indeed, reports and news stories on galactic equality margins are at an all-time-high, firmly outstripping the Old Republic. Basically, if you were born a Sullustan, you would have far-better chances of finding work in government under the Empire than you ever did under the Republic. The prices of much-needed items like medicine and food are also much more affordable, with some of Emperor Vader's key early policies being based around the production and distribution of these two things... partly to cement his own popularity, partly to incentivise postwar economic prosperity, and partly to urge more people to buy-in to the new Empire as a new galactic government.

cal kestis x reader (fluff)
tw : alcohol abuse, arguments, vomitting, fluff, verbal abuse, minor jedi survivor spoilers, happy ending.
“i’m 120% sure i love you, it’s not even because i’m drunk…”

Tumblr media
i'm sorry for the short length of this story and the bad grammar/punctuation. however, enjoy!
word count: 1204 (short one x)
you walked onto the mantis. you were alone as cal was still out on koboh. he was going to see what he could buy with his priorite shards, he was bound to be back soon. you walk around the mantis, rummaging through cupboards and cabinets. at first, you don't find much interesting. however, you soon come across a large bottle of vodka.
this was unusual for greez to have, you had never seen greez drink anything but water. you figured it must have been cere's, and you took the bottle. with the bottle in hand, you travel to your room where you sit on your bed. using your teeth, you gracefully open the bottle. the strong scent of strawberry hits you as you take a long swig. it tastes refreshing. you enjoy the first drink before it hits you. you get a large rush of alcohol, and you wanted more.
you take larger sips by the minute until you hear the door of the mantis open with cal walking inside. having already downed the bottle of vodka, you stand up and rush to cal. he looks at you confusedly when you walk up to him with a smile across your face. with open arms, you hug cal. he seems surprised, and you wouldn't blame him at all for feeling this way - if you were sober.
you lightly slap cal's back halfway into the hug, and he winces. it appeared that he had a scar there. walking into the kitchen, he looked for the alcohol and cotton. he rummaged through just like you had before. however, once he'd already turned greez's kitchen upside down, he couldn't find it.
"cal?" you slurred your words and spoke muffled.
"y/n, what?"
"what're you looking forr?"
"the alcohol, it's supposed  to be in this drawer here, however, i'm struggling to find it, and i need it urgently.."
"the one with the blue wrapper?" as you spoke, you let out a big gasp inbetween every word as if you were trying to drain out the alcohol with air.
"yes, the one with the blue wr-" he clocked just as soon as you said that. he instantly realised you were drunk. "y/n, why the hell would you drink that?"
"it was there so i had it. i got bored and just.." you were stopped by cal pulling you into a hug and picking you up. he dragged you into his room and laid you in his bed. he looked behind his artifacts that sat on his shelf. behind them, there was a bottle of water. cal places it on the desk and he sits at the foot of the bed, covering you by blankets.
"cal, why are you doing all of this? it's just a little bit of alcohol, i won't die!" you said. every word that escaped your mouth was dragged on and you often emphasised on the letters. for being drunk, you weren't acting too bad. however, you were being extremely loud.
"im doing all of this because i care about you and i seriously dont want you to feel like it's okay to drink like this, because it's not. y/n, please don't drink again.." as he spoke you could tell he felt a sharp pain somewhere in his body. it was obvious that it was coming from the wound on his back.
"what's that from?" you asked curiously and pointed at the rip in his poncho. bd-1 hopped off of cal's back to have a look, too. "looks like i' not the only one who's injured and needs to rest." you spoke with a high level of arrogance and there was a strong tone in your voice that suggested that you really didnt want to talk to him. lightly, you pulled him backwards so he was laying beside you. he blushed..
"y/n, what are you doing?" he acted frustrated.
"what, am i not allowed to lay with my best friend?" you smirk and rest your head on his chest, he shakes his head and looks down at you, grabbing your hand. "cal, you wanna know something?"
"yeah, sure," he says, slightly red from your head is in his chest and the soft moment between the two of you.
"i think i like you."
cal flushes to red and he seems scared. "you, like me?"
"Yeah." with a slight smile you look up at him and place a kiss on his cheek. You’d never been this affectionate towards the boy and it was obvious that he had never felt this level of love or respect. he just sat blankly and smiled to himself.
“there is no way that y/n likes me. me, cal kestis, of all people. you like a stupid jedi like me?” he asks, second guessing himself, as he commonly did. you shush him and turn over so you’re laying stomach to stomach. you smelt of alcohol but he enjoyed the scent as it was yours. your feelings of love toward the jedi were mutual.
“yes they are, i promise you. i swear on my lightsaber, cal.” you were being serious.
“no, you’re just drunk..” he muttered to himself, unbelievingly. he wasn’t pushy about these things but he knew of a common phrase which cere and greez both often used when they cooked using alcohol. ‘drunk words are sober thoughts.’
the words played through cal’s head, he didn’t want it to be true, it couldn’t be true.. It is. It was and it forever will be. he shoots you a smile and you return it.
“i’m 120% sure i love you, it’s not even because i’m drunk…” with that cal flushes to a deeper red than he already was - if that was possible. he looks at his hands and looks around at the room. he didn’t believe it for a single second.
“i think i love you, too, y/n..” your face lit up hearing the words. but, before you can stand up, you have to have a drink of water to prevent yourself from vomitting. “y/n?” he sat up quick as he saw you retch, he was lucky enough not to have to face it. “are you okay?” he says worriedly.
“better than ever. yet, i could be even better if-” you cut yourself off and stopped yourself from being sick. with a frown, you looked to your left where cal was holding you. his arms were passionately wrapped around your waist, holding you tightly as he kissed your cheek lightly. in one swift movement, he pulled you backwards to lay you beside him.
“maybe you just need a boyfriend to keep you safe, hm?” he proposed, indicating that the boyfriend you needed was himself.
“can that boyfriend be you?”
“if thats what you want, then of course it can.” with that, a smile was stuck on your face as you lightly kissed him. and then it hit you.
this shouldn’t be happening, and wouldnt usually. theres not supposed to be any jedi on jedi, but you two were one of the first to defy against this. you and cal had a lot in store for you and you were going to live forever together, at least you vowed to.

Cal Kestis x Kyra Yarmot
'In the Name of Love' pt.4
(2/2)
Tumblr media
A/N: just realized his eyes are green...not blue. And I can't find all the parts I used blue instead anymore. So be assured, I know it better from now on 😔
Finally some action...though only at the end of the chapter. Sorry.
Enjoy! :)
Word Count: approx. 3.200 Words
___________________
Any type of joy was usually strictly forbidden, the few things they did allow were regulated. Your master, part of the council as well, though, knew various ways to avoid getting detected and showed you many things. Games, Toys, quite horrible jokes – you were sure he called them dad jokes, even though he wasn't even a father, since he was a Jedi –, he introduced you to a lot of things other kids also knew..he didn't want you end up as emotionally stunted as some of the former Padawan, the now dead Council a perfect example.
In his eyes, it was even more of a risk that they then – due to these restrictions – were able to get drawn to the dark side. Keeping them away from even the simplest pleasures…at some point you would get curious. It was truly inevitable.
"I think I saw one like that once. But I can't really remember the place, unfortunately." For whatever reason, your hands were still interlaced as he continued counting the sheer impossible amounts of colors of the fairy lights as you felt the indescribable need to poke at the sentence, "Why? Would've wanted to take me there too then?" The redhead laughs lightly, breaking his gaze from the lights, smiling even more than before as he caught you staring at him instead of the lights just in time, a red hot blush rushing to your face, fitting perfectly to your uncanny black scales also covering parts of your face, "Of course I would, you really seem to like them after all!" You didn't expect that answer, you expected a question you could have dodged!
"O-oh, really? You wouldn't have to, Cal…" you mumble embarrassed, too shy to look back near him, his gaze holding something teasing. What if he was just waiting for you to try and stare at his face again? Why were you staring in the first place?!
"Are you okay, Kyra? You're still shaking…I really thought the Poncho would be enough."
You weren't cold, makers dammit!
You were sure you heard his voice somewhere in the background, yet you were just way too busy to not go mad with the forbidden thoughts he seeded right now, was he even implicating anything with what he said!? You only know each other since yesterday, he couldn't possibly mea-
It almost hurt physically at how you stiffened as he wrapped his bigger but not exactly stronger arms around your body. The most physical contact you two had yet and it almost felt like he was trying to protect you from how tight he was wrapping himself around you, yet there was no danger anywhere nearby. Nothing that you sensed at least.
His hands weren't the only things warm, Cal as a whole was like a heated blanket.
Apparently, he noticed your suddenly stiffened body and cursed under his breath, quick to let go of you again, all of his warmth taken away in an instant once more, one of his hands to brush against your folded back wings on accident. Another shiver.
"Kark, I didn't even wait for your answer…i-i am so sorry! I guess you're still uncomfortable around me…knowing me only since yesterday and all. I get it, really, I'm sorry, i won-'' Maker, his little nervous rant made you feel awful, the lights reflecting the massive blush on his face, matching yours perfectly as you knew you would regret this sooner or later…
"Just shut it, Cal…"
The one hesitant step he took away from you moments ago to profusely apologize, you took back towards him, anxiously wrapping your arms around his bigger body. The Jedi stuttered some words you couldn't catch with the muffled tone of them, his face pressed against your hair as he spoke. Meanwhile yours was pressed against his upper chest and while you thought the poncho you wore still smelled of him, you were proven very wrong. His Poncho smelled basically nothing like him anymore, more like washing detergent, as he smelled of some fruit you vaguely remembered the name of and of soldered metal and the like, definitely because of his tinkering at the workbench, mostly with BD. But the fruity part...it must've been from his hair, his shampoo more specifically.
The world seemed to mute itself in his embrace, your worries for once also pushed towards the back of your mind as his closeness suddenly became everything that mattered to you. You had never felt such things. Not even when you hugged your master as a kid or your assigned Clones. Your Clone Troop had been pretty much your only friends back then, all the other Kids distancing themselves from you for your odd appearance.
Why did he feel so good to hug?
"You're crying…" He states worried, but you didn't let him out of your grip just yet, you didn't need him to also see you crying, if he already felt or heard it. 'Emotions led to temptation. Temptation led to darkness. Never let others know yours.'
You karking hated these damned rules with the same burning passion they forbade…yet they were the only thing left to cling to. The last thing left that made you the way you're herr today. Was it for the better or the worse, you never dared to venture down that thought too much. But there were moments of questioning...everything.
"I'm fine, Cal. I just…remembered some things from before the Purge…" You sometimes wished you could've gone without your knowledge of being force sensitive, to not get hunted for blood. To not have to hold your emotions at bay. To not have to remember these bleak days…that also appear to have been the only ones worth remembering.
"Do you ever regret, Cal?" "Depends on how you mean it…" His voice held something...unsure, he couldn't hide it from you – or didn't want to – there were things he definitely regretted, after all everyone had something. He just had to trust you enough to tell you and that was far from yours to control. Just like your trust was out of his.
"Being trained to become what we are today?" "You mean Jedi? We aren't even Jedi, Kyra. Just Padawans…and it's not like we really had a choice, did we?" No, no you didn't.
You shook your head no, to the best of your abilities in his also just as tight grip, like you could simply vanish at any second. Like he was afraid you would still try to run off again, like yesterday.
"I…I can't remember what came before…I was too young, my master told me though that they had freed me, in exchange for something else." You confess heavily, feeling like at least just a sliver of your burden got lifted with you telling him, as stupid as it may sound to someone not in your situation. It most certainly wasn't enough to make yourself feel free of burden. But it was a good start, you wanted-no...needed to have a person of trust again, a person to consult when you were troubled. Just like with them once ago.
And his reaction told you it wasn't the wrong decision, a soft hum felt atop of your head as he deepened the hug furthermore. Close enough now to hear his heartbeat clearly, you're surprised about the quick rate it went about. He definitely shouldn't take your story to heart. "At least I'm not alone then…I was never told where I even came from, always thought Coruscant was my homeplanet, but I began doubting that a good while ago…"
Realizing the conversation became too personal for it to be talked about in literal public, you wanted to pull him along to go back to the Mantis. You could talk about it all night sitting on your beds, devouring one of the many many snacks you bagged today on your shopping spree. Cal had different plans though, shaking his head pleadingly at your pull in the direction of the Mantis, instead steering you off the Market's path and into an empty-of-vistors greenery nearby. Even there, fairy lights decorated the area, being the only lighting to show you the way to a small pond, some smaller water plants swaying in the breeze common for Bardotta.
"Why don't you want to go back to the Mantis? Is something the matter?" You inquire as he let himself fall to the ground near the pond, a heavy thud coming with the pretty careless act as he winced just the slightest bit for not watching himself in his frustration. "If you're asking like this…a bit. I…I don't want Cere to hear everything we talk about." Wait, he didn't want Cere to hear about himself? About you?
Did he not trust her? But you thought she was his current mentor even, from what she let through this morning as they talked about themselves for at least a minute instead of you!
"Yeah, but…isn't she your mentor?" "No…that was someone very different to her. Cere? A substitute in the end, so I don't stay a Padawan forever I guess…" His mood slipped at the moment the subject fully changed to Cere and his apparent distrust of her, his eyes holding a pained expression.
He seems to fight with himself for a moment, trying to begin talking about whatever bothers him, but nothing comes out. You clearly didn't know yet what it was about, but it must be something difficult to talk about with the strength he needed to even begin cutting into it. "Hey, if whatever you're trying to tell me makes you too uncomfortable to even begin about it, you don't need to push it out, we got all the time in the gala-"
Whatever it was, you're sure he would find the trust in you someday to tell you.
He jumps at your gentle and caring words, the darkness of the night coloring his eyes nearly dark green as he stared at you, quickly shaking his head suddenly. His eyes went wide, a realization hitting him, "No. N-no…I can't keep it from you, we potentially do not have all the time in the Galaxy, Kyra. You deserve to know, you need to. You're too good of a person to be kept in the dark…"
Intrigued by his suddenly emotional voice, you drag two soft drinks from the fully packed backpack before sitting down next to him, handing him one into his quivering hands. This time, the brush of his hand against yours went past you entirely, the information he apparently needed to tell currently more important.
Also, he called you a good person…You doubted you were, in the eyes of an actual Jedi…but you couldn't judge yourself, that was the job of other people.
"Cere had a Padawan once."
And with that sentence, he began. He told you everything there was, of his current knowledge.
How she at first only vaguely told him that she had died at the hands of the Empire, that she wasn't able to save her. Cal told you how horrible and devastated felt for Cere at that point, the emotions he went through thinking about him being lucky with just barely escaping all these years ago.
You had also been lucky.
Then he continued, swallowing hard and began the next part with an encounter of one of the Inquisitors. The Second Sister. You had met her, but she wasn't aware that you're Jedi yet at that point. She still hunted you though, for your second status of an extreme Rarity.
But what he told you about her left your jaw slack, not able to swallow or cough up the bubbly beverage you just took a sip of from your bottle, feeling it dribble down your chin and into the fabric of your new top.
The Second Sister's name is Trilla.
Cere's apparently dead Padawan? Trilla.
She told Cal everything under pure spite, the only thing keeping her from further attacking him instead of talking being a laser barrier BD activated just in the last second.
You wanted to ask if it was a coincidence, but from how his story continued, how he worded it, you highly doubted it. He went back to the Mantis after his mission and confronted Cere about what he had been told – of course she at first denied it, telling him Inquisitors only lied to get into his head, to make him vulnerable.
But eventually she gave up.
Cere sold her own Padawan out, let Trilla get her brain fried and now she was out for her own kinds blood.
Cere sold one of her own out.
"And…and that's all, for now. I really hope there isn't more to…Kyra?"
How dare a person sell their own kind out with the knowledge of near extinction…
A less than gentle shake of your shoulders from Cal shook you back to the present, his eyes focused on you with worry, "Kyra…you can't let your emotions lead your decisions. You know that…" "Then why tell me such a horrible thing! How can I even look at her the same way again?!" "The same way I do, Kyra. We got a mission to fulfill, we can't let things like this ruin the only chance we have…"
So he wanted you to act like all he just told you in privacy…that you never heard all that? That Cere was just like you two? That you should still smile at her the same way you smiled at Cal and Merrin? "Does Merri-" "Yes…but she doesn't have a big opinion on it…" You would've thought for someone who lost her whole folk, that she would have more to say on that matter as well…
"Please, please keep that knowledge to yourself, at least for now... I just didn't want to keep you in the dark about it, she would've never told you on her own, just like she tried with me. She planned to take that secret to her grave, hadn't it been for Trilla herself."
Cal's eyes held a form of desperation and, if you squinted…specks of gold. Had they always been there, you were sure he had pure green eyes? You two would've had something more in common then…
"Why are you even trusting me with such a thing already? We met yesterday, Cal. Don't you know you can't just trust anybody anymore these days?" Never really had been able to before the Purge either.
Small Glow Worms now came out of their day-spots, from bushes, the trees and some even from hidden holes in the ground to dwell at the cool breeze, their gentle phosphorescent lights blinking as they were communicating with each other. Having someone to communicate with...
They distracted you both from the current subject for at least a short moment before he sighs, hanging his head into his pulled up knees, "Because…we might just be last of us, if we can't get our hands on that damned Holocron before the Empire does…no matter how dangerous and yes, plain stupid, it is to trust so quick, now it's needed for good teamwork among us. And with you…I can't tell you why, I don't know why…it feels so right. To trust, I mean."
So he felt it too? The weird connection you two seemed to have yesterday, how you worked so well together without knowing each other for very long…
"Maybe the Force wanted us to meet?" You ask in a at first joking manner, but he seemed to take your idea seriously as he fell into his thoughts, "My old Master once told me of the force sometimes helping Jedi not just on their paths, but also to find it in the first place , back then I didn't really want to believe that. But now…perhaps he was right?"
If so, the Force had a severly cruel sense of humor. Could've also warned you in your sleep about the karking Bounty Hunter that jumped your scaled ass but noooo…apparently that was also supposed to happen, huh?
"We can only wait and see where this all brings us, I guess. Next step is getting back my weapon then?" To which he immediately agreed with a nod, strong determination crossing his face as his mood came back up to clink your soft drinks' bottles together for a small but still honest cheer.
"To a great adventure together with new, great Company!" "And of course to a better future!"
Of course you soon lost total track of time, seeming only natural after the heavy subjects had been left behind and a somber atmosphere came into the picture. He let himself fall backwards into the fresh green grass, you soon to follow as you began to admire the clear, peaceful Bardottan night sky. Unlike on planets like Coruscant, or Bracca, like Cal was quick to point out, the sky wasn't full of smog or light pollution.
It was also a nice place for the very rocky place that Bardotta was to 90%. This particular market was on a huge plateau above the cloudy "surface" – one you were certain was only ocean down below... – and one of the few grassy plains open to the public and constantly kept in best conditions to keep the tourists coming back and going back home well pleased.
"The moon looks really big on Bardotta, don't you think?" Cal points out, verbally and literally, arm stretched out to circle the Bardottian Moon, Moudotta. "You're right but that could also be because the…well, the usable surface of Bardotta is much closer to the sky than most planets…?" It was your best explanation, since it was the first logical thing that came to mind. Cal didn't seem to disagree anyways, letting his arm fall back onto his chest limply before he sighed pleased. "Usually I can't even spend a lot of time on restocking missions, the…others, they simply have no patience…"
You heard it out of the hesitation in his voice, he actually meant to say that Cere had not a lot of patience for this. But you two agreed to rest that subject, at least for the remainder of tonight, that's why he worded it differently for the sake of keeping that promise.
"Maybe we can squeeze more time in from now on. If we finish such kind of missions early from now on, we get to see much more of all these planets…", that is if the planet in question is as peaceful as Bardotta.
You wouldn't have been able to have such a nice break at the market from yesterday, that place was a cesspool day and night. If anything, you could've used that planet to get a few new enemies on your ever growing list, some names with a red underline.
"Cal? Kyra? Can you two hear me? You have been gone for quite a long time now, please tell us that nothing happened while you were out there?" It was Cere, her worried voice echoing through the comm on Cal's Shoulder strap. You bit back any bitter comment, not just because of said promise for tonight but also because you promised him with your life that you wouldn't let it shine through that you now knew as well.
Cal of course noticed as your breath shortly hitched in your throat, the start of a scowl sinking back into a more neutral expression at which he nods at you, more than thankful, before he replies to Cere's question. "Sorry, we kinda lost track of time? We're back in a few, don't worry. And no, we aren't bringing trouble along this time, promise!"
Well, he couldn't exactly promise the last bit after you two literally brought ten or more Stormtroopers after you asses yesterday…
He ends the conversation, sighing into nothingness as he began to sit up again, not ready to leave this quiet spot that had been all yours till now just yet. "Guess this is it for tonight? As peaceful as it was to just talk with someone for once…" You ask annoyed, following suit to not keep him waiting for too long, a similarly sour emotion on his freckled face. "Yeah…but it was still an incredibly nice time. I can't thank you enough for coming with me today, Kyra." You had just finished standing up, catching him looking at you with this unreadable expression again. It enraptured your mind enough that you didn't notice yourself walking closer to him.
This was so wrong.
And even if it wasn't…you met yesterday.
"You know what? I must be blind as hell, your eyes clearly aren't the only thing breathtaking about you…" He quietly tells you, eyes flickering across various notable points on your face, even the fangs poking out from under your lips with your mouth hanging open slightly, not needing to be any louder with how close you had been standing to each other by now. Why was it so easy to get closer to him, not just physically but emotionally as well? You just shouldn't trust someone you technically still didn't know that well, not so quickly.
The pain that trust could cause if it was broken…it wasn't worth throwing around with it.
"You know this is against the rules?"
"No rules to watch with no witnesses…"
His words send positive shivers through you as he closed the final gap between you two, one hand gently cupping your face as he leaned down to your height, connecting you two on a very different physical level for the first time and all it took were not even 48 hours…

TRANQUIL moments like this were nonexistent in the life he leads as an inquisitor, to take the time to relax and not be worried about having his very life hanging in the balance of whatever decision he makes was like the weight of the world was lifted from his shoulders. He WARMS his hands near the fire, orange flames getting close enough to lick at his hands before withdraws and sits next to the redhead. Kai’s gaze also turns towards the blanket of darkness above them, sprinkled with the pale light of stars. It makes him feel small, POWERLESS and insignificant to the rest of the universe; he hated that feeling.
He’s thankful when his attention is drawn to Cal’s voice and the bottle offered out to him instead. The SICKLY yellow hues Cal initially saw upon their first meeting are now a dark, inky brown, reflecting the fire beside them as he stares wordlessly at the other for a few moments. “ If I were you I would’ve already killed me. “ Kai said bluntly. Taking the bottle from his hands, his fingers brushed over the back of Cal’s hand slightly during the exchange. “ I suspect that’s a part of the reason you Jedis were so easy to pick off. You assume that everyone deep down just wants to live the same boring lives as you do because it makes you...what? More moral somehow? “
Kai tilts the glass bottle up, taking a much-needed GREEDY gulp of the alcohol before passing it back to the other man. “ You know I was a Padawan before this whole thing started too. Some of us just weren’t blind to how restricting and hypocritical the rules of a Jedi were. “ There’s a hint of deep SADNESS in his eyes when he speaks about being a Padawan. The cerulean-haired man then clears his throat a little, feeling the familiar burn leftover from the alcohol. He wipes a gloved hand across his mouth and when he pulls it away there’s a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “ Gotta admit though, you’re not so bad either, Kestis. You don’t have as big of a stick up your ass. “

Pairing: Cal Kestis x Female Reader
A/N: Okay, this started as a smut, but my romantic ass can’t help it, so it is more of a fluff then an actual smut, but still has a tiny bit of a smut in the end, so yeah.
Warnings: FLUFF, SMUT (with a tiny bit of a plot), unprotected sex, a tiny bit of plot, some spoiler of the game, some typos, minors do not interact!
(Ali @whatanoof for you my dear friend :))
The last few months was exhausting and nerve wrecking: battling on Dathomir with undead sisters, deadly creatures and a mad former jedi. Finding the Astrium, become ally with a nightsister, raising the tomb on Bogano with some unpleasant surprise from the Second Sister. Than getting the holocron back, barely surviving Nur. So, you could say it was rather intense. Now, the holocron is no more, but danger still lingers around: bounty hunters didn’t let their prey slip away so easily. Fortunately, this planet has no giant spiders or other things that wants to kill you. This planet was peaceful and calm and has a rather impressive market, which has literally everything. Cere went on a supply run, Greez stayed at the Mantis, Cal said he has something important fetch for Greez (earning a confused look from the pilot, which quickly turned into understanding when Cal shot him a look), and the boy was off of the ship in a blink with his loyal companion, BD-1. Nothing better to do, Merrin and you went out to explore the market, having a great bonding time with her. Vibrant colours, cheerful children laughter, happy conversations, countless inviting vendors, mixed aroma of delicious foods and flowers. It felt so domestic after many narrow escapes and dangerous situations. Merrin dragged you from vendors to vendors, carefully observing the products, and trying as many food as she could handle along with drinks. You laughed and tried to slow her down. It was obvious this was her first time in a market like this. -Merrin! First eat this, then we can try the cinnamon buns out, I promise. Hey, slow down! We have all afternoon.- you shook your head with a big smile. -Okay, okay, but this is so amazing! So many things to try out! And we didn’t even explored the whole market.- Merrin voice was muffled when she took another bite of her food. -Don’t worry, we are staying for a few days, so we have plenty of time.- her enthusiasm got you giddy too. -Fine. After we ate, let’s go for the cloth shop over there! Need some new ones and some blankets. The Mantis can be cold at nights.- Merrin suggested. -Sure, why not?- you two ate your food and went to the shop. -Welcome! How may I help you?- the owner warmly greeted you when you entered. -We are just looking around for some comfortable clothing and warm blankets.- you answered politely with a small smile. -Of course! You can find the blanket near end of the shop. If you need any help, don’t be afraid to call!- the owner babbled and went to help to another customer. You girls wondered around, having a light conversation, while showing clothes to each other. -You are nervous. I can feel it. Why are you nervous?- Merrin tilted her head to the side curiously. Indeed, you were a little tense today. Today was yours and Cal’s anniversary. Officially together for a year. You couldn’t believe it. It felt like it happened yesterday. Flashback You were trying to find a ride off of Zeffo. After the Empire claws reached the planet and starting to tear it apart, you somehow managed to hide from them, but you know your luck is thinning. You neared the landing pad, hoping you could find a ship you can escape with, but it was empty. Beyond frustrated, you sighed and kicked the nearby rocks, and you wanted nothing more just scream. A noise caught your attention. It was a ship. You quickly hid behind the heavy metal door and watched as the ship neatly lands on the pad. But, you were not the only one who noticed the new ship. Not far from you, the heavy door opened, and a group of stormtroopers merged out, ready to strike. That moment you knew, it wasn’t an Empire ship. Years of training kicked in and you whipped out your lightsaber, and before the troopers could open fire at the ship, you took them by surprise and cut them down easily. After you finished, you put your weapon away and turned to the surprised faced crew: a lateron, a woman, a red haired boy with a little robot peaking from behind his shoulder. -Wow kid, you’ve got some moves there!- the lateron laughed. -A jedi? On Zeffo? I wasn’t expecting that. Who are you?- the woman asked cautiously. You removed the hoodie, which hid your features. You were wearing a dark cape, which protected you from prying eyes. A gasp left the boy, startling you and the others. -Y/N?!- he looked at you incredulously. You eyed him confusedly. The red blazing hair, the freckles, the warm and friendly green eyes, his voice…it hit you. -Cal?!- you gaped. Your long lost friend was standing in front of you. Before you could react, your feet left the ground and the world started to spin making you squeak in surprise. Cal hugged you tightly and you wrapped your arms around his board shoulders. Joyful laughter filled the air. You didn’t even noticed the tears straining Cal’s and yours cheeks, until he put you down and looked at you in the eye. -I take it you know each other.- the woman commented. -Cere, Greez, BD, this is Y/N. Y/N, these are my friends.- Cal introduced you. -I thought you were…- Y/N begun. -Maker, do I have a story to tell… After the teary reunion, you two become inseparable, and old feelings ignited like fire bugs at night. Cere and Greez had a bet. It was obvious you two liked each other more than friends, and the two of them felt like they have their own personal romantic sitcom. After the liberation of the wookies, Cal hosted you up and happily spun you around. In the heat of the moment, he caught you by surprise and kissed you out of blue leaving you wide eyed. Y/N.exe has stopped working. He panicked when you didn’t responded and started to pull back, forming apologises, but you grabbed him by his jumpsuit, smashing your lips onto his, and you both poured everything into the kiss you’ve been holding back. As they say, the rest was history (yes, Cere won the bet by the way). Snapping fingers brought you back from your nostalgia. Merrin watched you with concern, asking if you are fine. -I’m sorry. Today is our anniversary with Cal, one year together. I cannot believe it.- you chuckled sheepishly. -Ah. Is there any custom for these anniversaries of your?- Merrin curiously asked. -Well, some couples goes to a vacation, or gifting each other something personal gifts, others spending the entire time together or going out and simply having fun.- you explained. -I see. What are you planning for Cal? -Honestly? I don’t know. I don’t think he needs another poncho, he has way too many, so I have no idea. I hoped I could find something here in the market. Or get some idea.- you nervously bit your lip. Merrin hummed and looked around. Something caught her attention, grabbed your hand and dragged you to the end of the shop. -Look at these odd looking clothes. What are they?- Merrin pointed. Your face flushed. -These are...uh...lingerie. These are…for, you know, intimate times with your partner…- you muttered shyly. -Oh, OH. You should buy one.- Merrin cheeks were dusted with a small blush too. -WHAT?- you said a little too loud and the customers looked at you. You ducked your head, trying to hide your red face. -You said yourself you didn’t know what to get to Cal. I think he would be delighted to see you in one of these.- Merrin said in a monotone voice, but a small smirk played on her lips. -I don’t have…my body is not the…most perfect one.- you stuttered embarrassed. -This is nonsense. You have a great form, and I’m sure Cal would give you a full lecture for saying something like this. I’ve seen the way he is looking at you, like you were the most perfect girl in the entire galaxy.- Merrin words quieted down your insecurities, and warmed your heart. -Really?- Merrin rolled her eyes. -Of course! Now let’s see…I think you should take the red one or the black one. -Hmm, I like the green one too.- you were eyeing a sexy emerald coloured one. -Why not all?- Merrin grinned, and showed all three clothing into your arms and lead you to the owner, who sent you a wink after your purchase, making the blush come back with full force. You and Merrin got back to the Mantis before Cal does. Cere was waiting for you on the couch. -Ah, there you are. I see you managed to buy new things.- Cere pointed at the bags. -We did. Y/N found the perfect gift for their anniversary.- Merrin sent you mischievous wink. -Merrin!- you slap her shoulder, while face heating up, earning a chuckle for the nightsister. -Oh? And what is it?- Cere raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. -I-it’s nothing really…uh…how was the s-supply run.- you cursed yourself for stuttering. Cere smirked knowingly, while Merrin giggled behind you making you frustrated. -Hello everyone!- before they can tease you further, the red haired jedi stepped aboard, BD beeping on his shoulder. The three woman greeted back. -Cal, did you managed to ‘take care of that business’?- Cere expectantly glanced at him. -Yeah, everything is fine.- Cal smiled. -What did you do?- you curiously eyed your boyfriend, who flushed slightly. -Nothing. What did you buy? Can I see it?- Cal reached for the bag in your hand, but you quickly snatched it away. -It is a surprise.- you giggled. -For me?- Cal eyes lit up. -Maybe.- you teased. -Would you, uh, join me for a walk this evening? I want to show you something.- Cal shyly asked, rubbing his back of his neck. -Of course!- your big smile lit up the Mantis, making Cal’s heartbeat stop for a moment. -I will help you get ready!- Merrin already dragging you to the back of the ship. You met Cal outside of the Mantis before sunset. He was cleaned up, and wearing his favourite poncho, strangely enough he was without his loyal droid. You appeared in casual clothes, also cleaned up. He smiled and kissed your cheek, giving you a beautiful flower. -Thank you.- you give him a quick pack and put the flower into your hair. The sight made Cal’s heart melt and warming his chest. Cal led you through and away the market, still very much alive and buzzing, despite the sun started to go down, which caused the sky to illuminate in many beautiful colours, along the lamps that lead the path through the busy crowd. Wondering around, and lost into the scene, you bumped into Cal when he abruptly stopped near the end of the market. -Do you trust me?- he asked nervously. -Of course. I trust you with my life.- you squeezed his hand reassuringly. -I have a surprise for you, close your eyes, please.- Cal gave you his puppy dog eyes, which was happened to be your ultimate weakness. You just couldn’t say no to him. -Okay, okay, just don’t let me fall, shorty.- you chuckled, and complied. -I am taller then you.- Cal rolled playfully his eyes. -And I am the smarter one.- you teased. Cal carefully led you away the market, assumed by the fading noises and calmer atmosphere. -We are here.- his voice was full of excitement.   You opened your eyes and gasped. You two were on a clearing under a purple willow tree, near a crystal blue lake. Under it a lovely picnic was set up. -Do you like it?- Cal shyly shuffled on his feet. You didn’t say anything just jumped onto him, nearly knocking the poor jedi onto the ground. -I love it! This is so romantic.- you kissed him all over his face, making his freckled cheeks red, and eliminating a giggle form his luscious lips. Sitting down onto the blanket, surrounded by mesmerizing flowers, the gentle breeze provided a certain comfortable coolness. Pleasant and casual conversation with a divine sunset with the love of your life. Is there anything better than this? -How do you like this little surprise?- Cal glanced at you. -Perfect. Simply perfect. Thank you.- you gave a small kiss to his lips. -Well, I admit, I had some help.- Cal bashfully said. -Oh? -BD saw a couple having a picnic earlier and basically he gave me the idea.- the red haired jedi chuckled. -And they say droids can’t be romantic.- you both laughed. Your attention drawn back to the sunset. -It is beautiful.- you breathed. -Yes, you are.- Cal admired you, the warm orange and yellow colours danced on you, making you astonishing in his eyes. -Smooth.- you giggled, a slight blush decorated your face. -It is getting cold, we should go somewhere warmer.- Cal stood up and helped you up. After gathering your things, he led you to the small house near. -I rented it, so it’s ours for the night.- Cal answered before you could asked and got in after you. It has a double bad with a desk and small bathroom, a tiny kitchen area. -Yeah? And what are you planning for the night?- you purred hugging his waist. -Why don’t I show you?- he crashed his lips to yours giving you a kiss full of passion and love. Without braking the kiss, you slowly pushed Cal toward the bed. When his knees hit the bed frame he fall onto it, and you top of him. Laughing you gazed into his love filled eyes. -Actually, I have a surprise for you too.- you bit your lip. -Oh?- you got onto your feet. -Close your eyes, and no peaking!- Cal huffed a laugh, but did as you requested. You hastily shed your clothes, revealing the red lacy lingerie, which Merrin showed you. It hugged your figure perfectly, highlighting your curves, making your butt and tits phenomenal. -You can open it now.- you stood in a sexy position: hand on hip and biting your lip lustfully. Immediately, Cal opened his eyes and his jaw hit the floor. For a long moment he just sat there, mouth agape, pupils blown with lust, and sporting a hard on. -So, do you like it?- you spun around showing your backside. Now he was literally drooling and trying his best not to tear your underwear off of you. -You look…wow.- you straddled him, knees each side of his hips, and he pulled you into a hot kiss, which quickly led to a hot make-out session. -You, sir, are wearing too much clothes.- you broke the kiss gasping for air. Quicker than ever, he nearly torn his own clothes off of him and switched positions, so he was towering above you. Catching your lips again, tongues fought for dominance (which Cal won), he kneaded your breasts. You were aching, your body was on fire, craving for his touch. After you run out of air and braking the kiss, his lips were on your neck, leaving love bites and hickies on his path, slowly wandering down to your tits. He freed your girls, latching onto a nipple, while teasing the other one, then switching, paying attention for both of it, while you mewled and arched your back. Abandoning your breasts, he continued his way to your pussy, which was dripping in anticipation, straining the fabric, creating a wet spot. You would think Cal is a shy, puppy-dog eyed, innocent boy, who is as pure as fresh snow. You are completely and utterly wrong. He is a cocky little shit. He is the biggest tease you have ever met. After showing him the goodies, he quickly took a liking on it. Especially the teasing. Yes, he teased in front of the Mantis crew and nearly get you guys caught. Yes, he teased when you were on missions where enemies roamed around, cause he felt adventurous. But don’t worry, you got him back every time. Cal’s one of his favourite sight, when you are covered in hickies, flushed and desperately try to catch your breath after he literally pounded into the bed. He bit and marked your inner thighs, the bruises boosting his ego, making him proud of his work, while you laid there panting and beyond frustrated. He shoved your panties aside and kissed around your pussy, purposefully avoiding it. Annoyed and absolutely dripping you knew what you needed to do, so you make your best pleading face and rounded your glistening orbs. -Pleas, please my love, touch me.- you whined. -I am touching you.- he run his hands along your inner thighs, looking smug as ever, earning a small glare. -I wanna feel your tongue on my pussy…please...- you breathed. -How can I deny such a sweet request?- he smugly grinned and went to work. He gave a long lick from your hole to your clit without breaking eye-contact. You moaned his name out loud. Maker, he was talented with his tongue, and he begun eating you out like a starving man. After a while, he added two fingers in your pussy, stretching you for something bigger, constantly hitting you sweet spot, while he sucked your clit. With his other hand, he hold your hip to keep you pinned to the bed. Hands tangled into his red locks, holding for dear life while he wrecked you with pleasure. -Cal, p-please, I’m close…- you pant, back arching, knot in your stomach tightening ready to burst. He didn’t said anything, only doubled his effort. With a loud cry of his name you came, your body slump onto the bed boneless and absolute blessed. He emerged from between your thighs, his chin slick with your release. Crawling up your body he smashed his lips to yours, you could taste yourself making you hornier. You broke the kiss and flipped around, and now you were on top. His erection was clear, throbbing at your core. Revenge time. You made your way downward, leaving bites and hickies as he did, until you reached his happy trail, but you didn’t touch him. You caressed his powerful thighs, pressing kisses on is hips and around his cock, purposefully avoiding it. -Honey…don’t tease me. Touch me, please.- his voice deepened. -I am touching you.- you purred. -I need to feel your talented lips on my cock, please.- he growled making your pussy clench around nothing. -How can I deny such a sweet request.- you mocked, grabbed his length and gave his head teasing licks, then taking him into your warm cavern. He closed his eyes, and enjoyed the sensation. Mischievous glint spark in your eyes. You took a deep breath, and deep-throated him in one swift motion, taking him by absolute surprise, and you were rewarded by a loud moan of your name and a hand in your hair. Holding onto you for dear life, while his other hand fisted the sheets he panted and groaned, making you clench your thighs together to stop your wetness. With an audible pop he pull you off of him. -Don’t wanna finish too soon.- he murmured kissing you hard. You straddled his hip again, lined him up at your entrance and slowly sunk down. The feeling left you both breathless. He was big and wide, filling you to the brim. After a moment of adjusting, you slowly started to rock your hips back and forth, bracing yourself carefully on his chest, building a steady peace. He raised his hips to meet your in half way, moving together faster and harder. Cal suddenly grabbed you and he switched positions thrusting into you, hitting your magical spot deep in you again and again. Nail raking down on his back, you tried desperately ground yourself. Moans of pleasure filled the room along with the skin slapping on skin. Two lover completely lost themselves into each other. His mouth captured your into another heated kiss. Cal’s hand sneaked between your bodies, finding your aching clit and started to rub it sensually. With a loud cry of his name you came, walls fluttering around his member, making him cum with you. The feeling of him releasing into you nearly made you blackout. Cal collapsed on you. He was deliciously heavy, making you felt safe under him. After a few minutes, he rolled off of you, pulling you along. Catching your breath, you two basked in the afterglow. Everything was perfect in that moment. -Happy first anniversary.- you kissed his chest. -And many more to come.- he smiled. -Someone is very confident. But, that’s why I love you, my brave jedi.- you nuzzled into his neck. -I love you too, my sweet, smart girl.- he kissed the top of your head. -Round two in the shower? -You are on.

Morning
Tumblr media
Rating: Explicit
Pairing: Cal Kestis x Reader
Word Count: ~1.25k
Content: oral sex(m! receiving), cum swallowing, cursing, smut, fluff
Summary: You’ve learned to appreciate your time with Cal. Especially in the early hours of the morning, when no one else is awake and his morning wood is poking your back.
Mornings on the Mantis aren’t really mornings. There is no time in hyperspace, no specific star or method of timekeeping other than the old clock that Greez keeps running above the table, and that’s mostly there to remind people to eat. Greez refuses to skip meals. Either way, that little clock controls everyone’s circadian rhythm, because what else would you use?
You’d had a small timepiece when you’d joined the Mantis crew, and that had been synced to the food clock since. It has conveniences: you’re able to time Merrin’s speed and agility in her relic magic practice, Cere would come to you to wake her from meditation after a set amount of time, you could track the amount of time until hyperspace drop, etc. But the one thing the timepiece couldn’t track was how long Cal would be away from you.
That was a inconvenience, to be sure. But the biggest advantage would have to be now, waking up in Cal’s arms and seeing that you have hours left until you reach Dathomir. BD-1 is powered down and charging in the bedside port, Cal’s lightsaber is laid carefully on the table, and his clothes are slung messily on the floor for when he’ll have to wake and dress. If only you could get him to stay like this, you might be happy for the rest of your days.
He’s too responsible for that, you know, but it’s nice to dream sometimes.
The blankets are so warm, and you’re comfortable in your little nook away from the rest of the crew, and you can feel yourself being dragged back under towards sleep. You wiggle your hips slightly as you sink further into the warmth, completely ready to savor these few hours with Cal. Until you feel a telltale hardness against the small of your back that gets you completely ready for other things.
Cal is human, though it’s often hard to remember that when you see him training with his lightsaber or meditating for hours on end. But the erection sitting in the small of your back is a perfect reminder of it.
A wicked idea occurs to you, and you carefully worm out of his arms, sliding down to rest between his legs. It’s almost ridiculous how your mouth waters when you pull his cock out of his pants. Maker, you’re craving this, though you can't really believe it’s taken so long for an opportunity to present itself like this.
You drag your tongue up the shaft from base to head, wondering if maybe you should let him rest. He’ll need the strength. But the heaviness of his cock in your hand and the growing arousal in your core chases away all responsible thoughts. You want to make him feel good, even better than sleep could. He’ll wake up soon enough.
“Wha--What?” Right on cue.
“Good morning.” Your fingers curl around his shaft, relishing the warmth of his skin and how he absolutely throbs in your hand for you.
“Mornin’?” His voice is so adorably raspy right after he wakes up, grating in all of the right places to create sparks of heat between your legs. “Oh--” You run your tongue over the head, and his thigh goes rigid under your hand, almost as deliciously hard as his cock is in your mouth. The rest of his body follows suit, and he arches off of the bed, “What’re you doin’?”
Oh. That’s right. He’s probably never had anyone go down on him before. It sends a thrill through you, knowing that you’re the only one who’s ever made him feel like this, that you’re the only one who knows his taste, that you’re the one who’s about to show him just how good it can be.
“It’s called a blowjob, Cal.” You plant a quick kiss on the underside of the shaft, revelling in how it twitches at the touch and Cal’s back arches. Fuck, you want it in your mouth now. You sink down on his length, careful to avoid scraping your teeth against it while your hand slides over what you can’t fit.
“Fu-- stars, babe.” You smile at the almost slip-up. You’d never heard Cal swear before. In fact, you’re pretty sure he hadn’t heard much of any swears before you joined the crew. You would forever cherish the confused, wide-eyed look on his face the first time he’d heard you cussing out one of the sharper corners aboard the Mantis while cradling a stubbed toe.
“How--ho-- much… Dath’mir?” You almost roll your eyes at the question. Only Cal Kestis could try to think about an upcoming quest while he’s getting his dick sucked.
You pull off with a pop, “I can stop.”
“No!” He gasps, shaking his head frantically against the pillow, “Please don’t.” Maker, he sounds so… wrecked right now. All because of you. You can’t resist the grin that spreads over your face at the thought. You’re painfully aware of the other crew members on the ship, and how the only thing separating you two from discovery is an unlocked automated door that could be breached at any investigation into the noises. And yet, that somehow only makes you want to drag more of those noises out of him.
“Okay.” You plunge back down, relishing in the little aborted thrusts of his hips as he fights to keep still for you. He whines against the back of his hand as you fondle his balls. Fuck his moans sound good right after he’s woken up. Before this, there had only been quickies, steamy makeout sessions that ended with dry humping in bed before he fell asleep. But this, this is so much better.
It only takes a few more minutes until he’s grunting with every stroke of your hand and his voice is raw, like he’s solely drawing air from the back of his lungs in an effort to stay coherent. His thigh is rock solid under your hand with how hard he’s tensing, and you quicken your pace.
“Babe--” His hand slaps weakly on your shoulder, and you understand. Drawing in one last deep breath, you push forward until your nose meets the curls at the base of his cock. You inhale carefully through your nose, fighting the urge to gag as Cal lets out one last shaky moan before he’s coming hard down your throat. You tongue him clean before tucking his softening length back into his pajama pants and crawling up to snuggle into his side.
The Mantis is dead silent, the only sounds around you coming from the quiet whir of BD-1’s charging pad and Cal’s heavy breaths slowly calming into their normal rhythm. Cal turns so that he’s spooning you, arms curling around your waist as he presses forward into your back. The peaceful content, along with the pleasant reminder that Dathomir is still hours away, lulls you into a drowsy wakefulness where all you know is the bed beneath you and the warmth of Cal at your back. Finally, he breaks the silence, “Could we do that more?”
You snort and wriggle around to face him, “Only if you return the favor.”
Stars, now his face matches his hair. He blinks shyly down at you, “I--uh--I’ve never done that before.”
You smile and peck him on the nose, “I’ll talk you through it.” You snuggle back into his arms, “Stay with me Cal?”
He sighs deep into his chest, and you feel the gentle rise and fall of his body, “I’ll stay as long as I can.”

The sound of a thud from the engine room causes Greez to abandon breakfast prep. He heads aft and sees a distinctly socked foot sticking out across the deck. It's distinct because Cal is clearly an experienced sock-darner, and the sock is now essentially a patchwork of random cloths. The rest of his leg is still covered in a blanket. Greez sighs in despair. They have got to buy the kid some socks asap.
"Cal, is there a reason you're -"
Reaching the engine room, Greez stops talking, mouth gaping open in complete surprise. Because Cal is still asleep, his other leg still on the bed while the rest of him sprawls across the deck. Greez stares at BD-1, who's perched on the workbench. The little droid shrugs. Turns out there are limits to his ability to translate Cal's idiosyncrasies.
Sighing, Greez grabs Cal's blanket and rearranges it over him. Kid's still young enough for this to not hurt like hell when he eventually wakes up.
"He's got an hour until breakfast," Greez tells BD as he heads out.

Warming Up
Tumblr media
Pairing: Cal Kestis x gn!reader
Warnings/Tags: tooth rotting fluff, slight mutual pining, too much cheesiness to be realistic, possibly inaccurate info on Bogano’s seasons, Greez makes an appearance, too much softness for cal on my part
Authors Note: This is the Star Wars Secret Santa gift for @ahsokatano-thetogruta! Hope you enjoy it! Also, to anyone reading, I’m new at posting fanfic so if I missed any warnings/tags in the fic, feel free to let me know!
———————————————————
A shiver tears through you for what felt like the thousandth time in the last hour. You didn’t realize that Bogano has such cold winters, and the fact that the Mantis’s heating system was down wasn’t helping. Even with the “warm” clothes you have on, you’re freezing. You decide to distract yourself by grabbing something to drink. Maybe the caf you had made earlier (when the heat was working) was still at least lukewarm?
Stepping away from the holotable and towards the kitchenette, you pass Cal knelt over an opened panel trying to fix the heating, Greez hovering near him.
“It’s usually an easy fix, I’m not sure what’s wrong this time!” He exclaims through chattering teeth. Cal keeps fiddling with the various colored wires, checking for breaks and making sure he doesn’t accidentally snap a wire from how cold the metal had become.
“I can’t tell either, everything seems fine here,” Cal replies. As you sip your (cold) caf, your gaze falls to him hunched over the mess of wires. You notice a few strands of his hair out of place because he’s so leaned over, his cheeks have a dusting of rose, and his lips somehow aren’t chapped from the cold, every breath leaving them as a cloud.
Maker, how is he so pretty?
You shake yourself out of your mini trance, set your cup of caf down and walk over to them.
“Can I see?” You ask as you lean over Cal’s left shoulder. He shifts so you can kneel down next to him, and you have to resist the urge to lean into him because of the slight warmth. You start moving the wires around and soon notice that one had snapped after all.
“The cold must be getting to you two too much,” you say jokingly as you hold the two ends of the broken wire toward them and start to reconnect them. Looking for something to cover the live metal, you notice that Cal has the electrical tape in his pocket, and without thinking you reach into his pocket and grab it yourself, grazing his leg in the process. You didn’t notice him tense up at the casual gesture, his heart picking up speed for a split second. You were too focused on taping up the wire.
“There, all fixed. Now we won’t freeze to death,” you say as lightheartedly as you can. Cal is too focused on your hand holding the tape to say anything, and Greez snaps him out of his thoughts:
“Thanks! I don’t know how I managed to miss that... But we’re not done yet. It’s gonna take a few hours for the heater to get going since it’s basically frozen.”
You let out a soft groan at that, realizing you’re going to have to fall asleep somehow in this cold.
“At least it’s working now,” Cal shrugs after a beat. You give him a soft smile before a shiver and a yawn go through you simultaneously.
“It’s getting late, I’m gonna try and sleep.” you say, standing up from your spot.
“I should too,” Cal says hesitatingly.
You both head to the quarters you had to share (since the ship was small). Neither of you seemed to mind though, you still had your own beds, so what more could you need?
Cal lets you enter first before closing the door behind him, and you two slowly climb into your beds, saying your good nights before turning the light off.
You can’t stop shivering. Now that the sun had completely set, it had gotten even colder and no matter how wrapped up in your blanket you were, you couldn’t seem to warm up.
“You okay?” You hear Cal ask quietly from his bunk.
“Could be better, honestly. You’re not cold?”
“I am.”
Then you both lay in silence for a moment.
“I think I’ve got an idea if you’re okay with it,” Cal says carefully.
“Hm? What’s that?”
Cal gets up from his bunk and stretches out his hand to you. You take it to get up and he pulls you to the end of the room and turns you toward his workbench. You let out a quick shiver, then feel a blanket drape over your shoulders. Except it’s not a blanket, it’s the poncho Cal was wearing. You feel a tiny bit of warmth for the first time tonight, and the smell of the soap Cal uses fills your senses. His hands linger over your shoulders after he lets go of the poncho, and you push away the desire to take them in your own.
“Thanks Cal,” you say, crossing your arms under the poncho.
“Don’t look till I say, okay?” He asks.
“Okay... what are you doing anyway?”
“You’ll see.” You can hear the smile in his voice as he walks back over to the bunks, but you also hear a tinge of nervousness. What was he about to do? You hear the rustling of the mattresses and blankets, then he taps your shoulder and you turn around.
He had spread both of your thin mattresses on the ground and layered all the blankets and pillows you two had on top of them. You look over to him and he has a nervous, boyish smile on his face. A smile spreads across your face too as you look back at the new bed.
“If this is okay, now we’ll be able to warm each other up. But if you’re not comfortable with it I ca-“
You cut him off with a kiss to his cheek. His face flushes even redder than it had from the cold. You take his hand and pull him to the bed, both your hearts pounding now. As you lay down, you stretch your arms out to him and he excitedly lays down next to you, you both immediately tangling together under the blankets.
You can’t help but giggle as you both wrap your arms around each other, your bodies closer than they had ever been. You’re finally starting to warm up. You bury your head under his chin and he pulls you as close as possible by the waist and runs a hand through your hair. Cal lets out a sigh of relief he didn’t even realize he was holding in, and you move to look at him, your faces only inches away from each other.
“This is perfect,” you say slowly.
“So are you,” Cal says without even thinking. Your stomach flips and you don’t hesitate to close the gap between you two. You can feel his heart pounding as he kisses you back, and you can’t help but grin into the kiss. You feel a whole new warmth spread through you, one that you want to feel forever now that you’ve gotten a taste. When you finally pull away, Cal rests his forehead on yours, looking into your eyes.
“...’So are you’?” you ask sarcastically.
“Hey, it worked, didn’t it?” Cal retorts with a grin on his face.
You can’t help the grin that spreads on your face as you kiss him again, feeling that warmth again and not caring if the heater starts working. You didn’t need it anymore.

Just Us part 2 - Cal Kestis x Reader
Part 2 of - Just Us
Rating: 18+, Explicit, NSFW
Characters: Cal Kestis
Tags: Eating pussy
Summary: Cal keeps his promise to eat you out all day.
-
You woke up with your face smushed into his warm, bare chest. Cal felt you stir, and gently smiled.
“Good morning, angel.” He said, his voice still groggy from sleeping. You let out a small whine in protest, not wanting to untangle yourself from his warm body. He chuckled,
“It’s a just us day.” Cal ran his calloused fingers slowly up and down your back. You opened your eyes quickly, it had completely slipped your mind.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, in about an hour. But I do believe I made a promise to you.” He slid down so you were face to face. Cal kissed you once, softly before letting his lips linger. You pushed your lips to his, rougher than he had, making him moan softly. He caught your bottom lip between his teeth, before letting it go.
“You sure you can be quiet, angel?” Cal asks you quietly, smirking.
“Now yes, no promises when we’re alone.” You smirk back at him. He moves under the blankets, crawling down to between your legs. He spread your thighs further apart and started kissing up the insides of them, taking his time and purposely avoiding your center. However, a moment later he mouthed at your panty covered center. You squirmed in response, his tongue slipping past his lips so that he could lick a flat stripe over your covered core. He continued this, his tongue wetting the outside of your panties. He brought his hand up, hooking one finger around your underwear to pull them aside. He didn’t hesitate to bury his mouth between your lower lips. Your fingers tangled into the sheet below you, and your eyes squeezed shut. Cal ran his tongue up and down your pussy like he was starving. If he really wanted you to be quiet, he wasn’t helping to make sure you did. You bit down hard on your bottom lip as he focused on your clit, flicking his tongue over it. You felt his finger prod your entrance suddenly, before sliding it completely into you. He smirked against you and curled his finger upwards, making you arch your back. With him under the blankets, you didn’t know how to signal to him that you were close, but hoped that clenching around his finger would work. Cal’s tongue slowed down, licking at everything he could reach as he continued to run his finger along your g-spot. You came immediately, fighting back a moan by biting down on your tongue. Cal didn’t pull away until you stopped clenching around his finger. He emerged from under the blankets a moment later, lips visibly wet from you. He laid on his stomach next to you, propping himself up on his elbows before hovering his finger above your lips. You took it in your mouth and licked his finger clean.
“And that was just the start angel.” He smirked, sliding his finger out after a moment.
“I’ll be right back, stay here.” He added, quickly kissing you before getting off the bed. He grabbed his pants and shirt from beside the bed, sliding them on.
“Cal?” You asked, looking up at him.
“Yeah, (Y/N)?”
“You’ve got some on your mouth still.” You told him quietly. His tongue slid across his bottom lip, and then he wiped his mouth on the back of his hand before winking at you. You heard mumbled talking a minute later, but couldn’t make out what anyone was saying. Instead, you lifted your hips up, and removed your panties. You so badly wanted to touch yourself, but decided against it, knowing Cal would be back in a few minutes and would be doing something so much better.
As soon as you heard the door to the ship slide closed Cal was next to you and pulling you along with him to the workbench. He cleared the center of the workbench and turned around, wrapping his hands around your waist and helping you up onto it.
“Now you can scream my name as loud as you want.” He smirked, spreading your legs apart and leaning down. His tongue ran over your entrance, dipping into the wetness. He moaned loudly against you, moving up slightly to spread your wetness around with his tongue. It wasn’t long before you came on his tongue.
“Bed, please.” You requested, looking at him.
“Don’t have to ask me twice.”
You wrapped your legs around his waist, your wet pussy pressed against his hard, clothed, cock. Cal groaned, sloppily kissing you as he walked over to the bed.
“Want me- to help- with that?” You asked between kisses, but he shook his head no,
“Just want to keep eating your prefect pussy.” He tells you, laying you down. You spread your legs for him, and Cal goes down between them.
“Could eat you all day angel. Tastes so good.” He moves his head side to side with his mouth once again buried between your lips. He rolled his tongue over your clit before writing his name on it with his tongue.
“Mine.” He muttered, moaning against you. Your hands went to his hair, tangling your fingers into it. You grinded up into his mouth, moaning his name. He had you cumming four times in a row, tongue never leaving you between each one before he laid his head on your thigh. He stared at your pussy as he circled his thumb slowly over your clit.
“Cal-“ You moaned, your clit growing over-sensitive.
“How many more times angel? You want my tongue again?” He asked, and watched as you quickly nodded. He scooted over and slipped his tongue into your hole. He started to fuck you with his tongue, moving it in and out quickly. That heat grew once again in your lower belly. Cal looked up at you, pausing for only a moment,
“One more time baby. Cum for me.” He smirked, running his tongue over your entrance while his nose bumped against your clit. You came, thighs shaking and closing around his head. Cum slid right onto Cal’s tongue, which he cleaned up egerly. It took a few moments for you to recover, your thighs eventually loosening their grip on him.
Cal laid his head on your thigh again, and chuckled,
“You think my jaw would be more used to that by now.” He looked up at you rubbing his jaw and you giggled,
“Come here.” You said, and he came up and laid next to you so you were face to face. You peppered his jaw with kisses, making him grin.
“Does that help?” You ask him with a soft smile,
“Your lips help everything.” He kissed your lips gently, the taste of you still evedent.
“You wanna shower?” You ask when you pull back.
“Together?” He said, voice hopeful.
“Always,” You kissed him again and sat up,
“but you might need to carry me.”

9 from the recent prompt list is giving me major Boba/Cal vibes if you’re feeling so inclined! Thanks
Hey, so this is a 1000 years late, but I had some writer's block. I hope you still enjoy what I've created, despite it being late!
Number 9, once more with feeling~!
“Stop raiding my fridge, or I’ll poison something and let you figure it out the hard way."
Below the cut, friend.
○●°•°●○
The week had been painfully long. His bounty had been a slippery karker, but he had prevailed eventually. Boba had been thrilled to get back to his apartment and ignored the pang of annoyance at the fact someone else wasn't there. Cal, he decided, was probably off doing his own job. Well, whatever, it wasn't like the other had to be there. They just happened to work on a lot of jobs together and spend a lot of their spare time around each other. Perfectly normal. All of that behavior didn't mean that they lived together or anything, so yes, Cal could do what he wanted.
Boba did his best not to fall into a mood while he got rid of grime in the sonic and he did his best not to sulk while he sat on the kitchen floor eating a pudding cup. No one was around to stop him. Boba cast a look over and over to his comm before he finally collapsed in his bed for the night.
He'd contact the di'kut in the morning he thought before letting sleep pull him under.
There was a noise in the kitchen.
Boba sat up in his bed, heart hammering, and wondered if his past had finally caught up with him. The sound continued and then came the trill of a droid he recognized. Kark. He threw his blanket off not caring he was just in a pair of sleep pants. He was going to make Kestis wish he had never been born! That kriffing jetii just thought he could waltz in whenever he wanted and eat his food. Well, that was going to change today. His mood was sour thanks to being rudely woken up during the night as he was going to use that emotion to fuel the dressing down Cal was about to receive. If the di'kut was going to appear randomly there needed to be more notice!
The makings of tea were spread out across the counter, along with a few jars of pickled olives and vegetables. Cal really ate the weirdest kriffing snacks. Boba motioned for BD to keep silent, the droid gave a mockery of a nod.
BD, he decided, was smarter than his human.
“Stop raiding my fridge, or I’ll poison something and let you figure it out the hard way,” he said loudly as a means of announcing himself.
Cal spun around, spork in his mouth, and seemed to malfunction. The red-haired jetii was growing red in the face while his gaze was very much fixated on Boba's bare chest. Fingers loosened and the canister of tea careened towards the ground. It hit with a clang. A cloud of dried leaves erupted out between them. Boba glanced down at the mess and then up at the oddly silent pain in his shebs. Well, that reaction was doing wonders to shift his mood from annoyed to something else.
"Like what you see?"
It shouldn't have been adorable or attractive, but watching Cal open his mouth like a goober fish out of water sent heat south in his body. The jetii at least managed to catch the spork before it fell to the ground. Boba moved without thinking. He crashed into Cal. His jetii let out a sound of protest when his back hit the fridge. Boba captured the sound with a demanding kiss. The red-haired di'kut stood frozen for a second more so he let his teeth snag the other's lower lip. That seemed to cause a reaction. Finally.
The spork hit the ground.
Coarse fabric ran up his side and he jerked back. "No."
"What," Cal asked in a surprised tone. "You kissed me-" Boba just roughly peeled the glove off of Cal's hand as an answer to the unfinished question. He threw it over his shoulder, not caring if it landed in the spilled tea. "Oh, okay."
"When I gave you the code to my place it wasn't so you could steal my food." His tone was gruff and it seemed to cause the jetii's pupils to expand.
"You were asleep, I didn't want to wake yo- hnngh-" The somewhat excuse was cut off by another kiss. Boba wanted to devour his jetii. They'd deal with the ground rules of the apartment later.
His kitchen was a mess and he'd be annoyed at the wasted food later, but for now he was getting lost in his jetii. BD whistled out that they were just going to go double check the security. Good, he smiled into the kiss before grabbing Cal's hips. Cal let out a sound of surprise and then nothing else mattered.

OLIVE haaaiiiii it’s been FOREVER so it’s just me crashing into your askbox like a bull in a China shop, so without further ado:
3 male characters you want to wrap in a blanket and give hot chocolate to? Opinion on One Direction (there is a correct answer btw)? Most recent book(s) you added to your tbr? 4 things that made you smile/good things that happened to you in this last week? Have you read The Great Gatsby? One Shakespeare play you would suggest? Something you’re looking forward to? The first piece of poetry that comes to your mind?
nOT A ONE DIRECTION ASK—
asdfghjhgfd,,, hi lindsay! come crash into my ask box anytime you'd like! it is here so you can ask me oddly specific questions <3
as for your questions,,,,,,, don't @ my choices, alright? i may masquerade as someone who has taste, but really, i don't have much at all.
i would, without hesitation, give cal kestis (star wars), robby keene (cobra kai), and zuko (atla) anything their heart desired. they just need one (1) singular break from life, y'know?
as for one direction,,,,,, i'm not going to lie, i was a huge one direction hater back in the day. like, 2012-2013, i would tear throats if i heard you liked one direction. however, this was in my 'not like my sister' phase, and she was a die hard fan, so i think that explains the hatred. in retrospect, they had some good songs! story of my life was pretty good - even if you couldn't escape it for months after it came out. i like niall horan's solo music, and some of harry styles' work, too (i haven't gotten around to listening to much). are the others (minus zayn, lol) pursuing solo careers? i don't think i've heard much about the one who liked girls who eat carrots or whatever, asdfghjkjhgfds.
i'm trying to decide if i should add it to my tbr or not, but the wheel of time books? there's like 14 books in total, so it's an undertaking™ but who knows? i'm watching the amazon show rn and while there is decidedly A Lot™ to unpack, i always like a good fantasy (i need to read asoiaf first, lol).
as for four good things, i did pretty good on all four of my finals! and now i have a break for a little bit, which means time to write and read!
yes, i have read the great gatsby. i think 3 times? i remember reading it once on my own volition, and then twice for school. i haven't seen any movie adaptations, funnily enough. although, if you know/like the great gatsby, you should listen to this song by ella jane, because it's about the book! i just think it's neat. i also kinda want to read "beautiful little fools" by jillian cantor which is like a reimagining of the great gatsby, but idk if it's any good, y'know?
asdfghjhgfd,,, you probably know all of the shakespeare plays i've read/watched, because i'm decidedly Not Original but (other than macbeth and hamlet, my beloveds) much ado about nothing is a lot of fun, and i adore the kenneth branagh movie version, and hey! idk if people mention this a lot, but robert sean leonard was claudio!!! it's funny, bc i saw him in dps and was like ???? claudio??????? and keanu reeves is in it, too and i just,,,,,, it's a romp. much ado is just so stupid and that's why i have no choice but to stan.
i am looking forward to doing some baking and cooking this week! i don't have any school, which means i can have hobbies again, lol. (also, this is off the record but i know for a fact my little sister got me A Game Of Thrones for the holidays because she's terrible at hiding secrets, so i'm very excited to be able to read that.)
the rime of the ancient mariner by coleridge, lol. i had to do a thing for it for class, so it's been on repeat in my mind for a while.
now, lindsay, i have some questions for you!
what is your favorite season? your favorite book, out of every book you've read this year? favorite hozier song? favorite k-drama that you would recommend? 3 characters that you would like to throw into the sun? 1 thing you are looking forward to next year? how many books are you hoping to read next year? and what is your favorite dessert?
