#canon compliant and canon divergent ftw

Hello! Just wanna drop a note and say kevaaron FTW! I got into this pairing when I was reading a fic on it and i must say that i love the way they fall into each other via trauma bonding. How Aaron is able to understand his trauma and helped him through with it and how Kevin helped Aaron navigate his sexual awakening. I wanna ask if you have any HCs or future fic ideas about them?

oh boy do i have hc's and fic ideas about kevaaron...i have like 3 long fics in progress for them and most of my hc's are incorporated into those fics because i can't write a short fic to save my life apparently

first fic is called to be good, i've posted the start of this on my ao3 it's a very lengthy look into the nest and perfect court (including andrew) but as artists instead of exy players and the way kevaaron (artist x doctor) end up together in this eventually is like the only thing keeping me alive right now. it is, however, andreil centric with unrequited kevjean, endgame jerejean, kevaaron and andreil (ofc)

second fic idea is an entirely canon compliant fic of kevin's life with the main canon divergence being kevaaron exists and is endgame. i wanted to explore what they would be like if i changed nothing else and also wanted to see how aaron would be like with amalia (i suck and have no idea if i will ever actually write this but trust me i have so much of it planned: it would be called 'the winner takes it all' after the abba song)

third fic idea is pretty recent and i really really really want to write it but the premise is that kevin experiences insane levels of burn out in his late 20's and his professional team psychiatrist and doctor sideline him to the benches (what horror what injustice to take kevin off the court) and the foxes collectively decide someone needs to take care of kevin lest he kill someone or himself. aaron lives closest to him and he does not volunteer to do this but oh, look he's a doctor! he can take care of kevin! and so they end up living together aaaaand chaos ensues (lowkey this one's gonna be displaying my love for aaron minyard x 10000)

i've got like a billion trillion hc's of them sharing wire headphones while riding the subway and aaron consistently playing with kevin's hands and making sure he doesn't overwork it and them getting the most obscure things for each other that no one in the world would understand the reference to and cooking together and travelling together because they can't stand any of the other foxes and yeah i can talk about them for like hours you're gonna wanna book an appointment for this one babe

hi i saw your textured hair post and actually ive been thinking a lot because textured hair cesar can literally be canon compliant (while diverging from their actor because i dont know much about them). im latino and i have a lot of latin friends, especially when youre visibly latino (but closer to central/northern part of south america) hair can be curly! i have a friend who has straight, thick black hair for the first about four inches before it starts getting curly. and you seem like such a fan of disheveled men who cant find time to cut their hair because theyre grieving so maybe this hc fits for you, idk. im just saying it doesnt have to be canon divergent, it can be "cesar was so upset that he couldnt find time to shave or cut his hair and now its to his shoulders and curling and he doesnt hate it". does this make sense

There are quite a few good dnf fics but finding them in the thousands of works under the dnf tag on ao3 is a struggle, ngl...

SADF was... definitely one of the better fics in terms of writing quality but it was way too long and stretched out. I felt like the plot could be resolved in half the word count and it would improve the pacing.

Anyway, are you taking any more recommendations and do you have any good fics you managed to find and would share?

kay i'll check it out but keep that in mind. i'd definitely be open to recommendations, tho i might not get to them anytime soon bc i tend to just read whatever sounds good to me atm rather than going in any kind of order. i really only have one dnf fic i feel like didn't make me cringe in some way but i still felt like it was kinda out of character so i don't really wanna recommend it (i need to protect my brand lol).

30. What kind of storylines or AUs are your favorite?

The ones where they fall madly in love and end up together. No, I can’t be more specific. 

39. What’s an idea for a fic that you’re excited about, but haven’t had the chance to write yet?

The life on the West Side saga and the daddy years (I am allowing myself this one cringey Ianism, please do excuse me) are calling to me in my dreams. Don’t really know if it’s a good idea. I’m kinda thinking UAC (and the itty bitty tumblr writings I sometimes just can’t help myself from spewing on you) are going to be my swan song.

44. What are some of your favorite tropes?

Domestic Husbands and Enemies to Lovers FTW.

63. What canon Ian and Mickey moments (together or individually) do you think are under-explored?

I think there’s a clear lack of canon-compliant/divergent stories from the S1-S3 era told from Mickey’s point of view. And I kinda understand why. 

Ian is easier to read and therefore easier to write, while Mickey basically has the cards laid out in front of him, so you kinda lose the does he like me, does he hate me enigma that’s so fun to play with and explore. But the absolute whirlwind that’s Mickey’s conflicting emotions? Mwah! Magnifique!

txt promo ftw?  if anyone is interested in plotting and interacting iconless with with Ignis Scientia,  Prompto Argentum,  and potentially Noctis Caelum,  then feel free to say hello,  or Reblog to give a hand.  Noctis is kind of a trial muse,  so you may not see as much information about him,  and whether I keep him will depend on how this trial run goes.  but there is plenty of headcanon info and muse for the other two,  as I’ve been writing them longer.  Ignis is mostly canon-compliant,  but Prompto is canon divergent and on the edge of being non-canon, but still follows most all the storyline given for him in the game.  he just has my own reasoning,  and a lot of creative liberty.
