A Garden
Artist: Albert Moore (English, 1841–1893)
Date: 1869
Medium: OIl on Canvas
Collection: TATE Britain
Description
Albert Moore was influenced by Japanese art. He produced decorative and subtly coloured pictures. He focuses on the colour, texture and movement of draped fabric on the woman’s costume. Art critic Sidney Colvin said Moore’s subjects were ‘merely a mechanism for getting beautiful people into beautiful situations.’ Moore used the flower-like symbol at the bottom of the picture as a signature.

Emergency Commission Call!
Hey all, universe continues to throw me curve balls. I got laid off with one of my jobs (Corporation going for an automated approach, reducing everyone’s hours, I had the least experience so I had to be let go >:( Even though they told me they were going to keep me on past the holidays.) As a result, I’m struggling to get enough to support myself. Calling upon goodwill and art commissions to get me through the next few days before the first of February. Currently trying to get up to $750 for rent, though more would be welcome. My Commissions are open, here is some examples of my digital and traditional works.

I also do some gif work, commissions can be placed on my Ko-Fi here. Here are some examples of gifs I’ve made.

If you would like something like this, please commission me on my Ko-Fi via the link below. I’m doing a two for one, commission one piece, request one of equal or lesser value for free. You can also donate to get a sketch request that I’ll draw at a dollar a minute ($3=3 minute drawing, $10= 10 minute drawing, etc) This offer expires by Feb 1st 2025.
I also just got a new commission type for short fics that are pay what you want starting at $10. I’ve been getting back into writing recently, and if you want to read some of my stuff you can check out my AO3 here.
There is also a shop on my Ko-Fi where I will be selling physical items, mainly polymer clay sculptures. I plan to do some psychonauts related items, will update when I have a link to those. As of now, I have small clay clthuhus available, link here.
So, if you can, would you kindly buy me a ko-fi or make a commission? Every little bit helps. I’ll also be opening animated commissions in a bit.
💙💜PLEASE BUY ME A KO-FI💜💙

The Triumph of Marius
Artist: Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (Italian, 1696–1770)
Date: 1729
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, NY, United States
Description
Between 1725 and 1729 the Venetian painter Tiepolo depicted a series of ancient Roman military victories as told in historical accounts - one of which is quoted in the banner flying overhead here: "The people of Rome behold Jugurtha, laden with chains." Proud, even defiant, the African king Jugurtha dominates the composition, while the Roman general Marius rises from a chariot. This triumphal procession that paraded captors, prisoners, and loot - including sculpture, metalwork, and carpets - occurred in 104 BCE. Tiepolo daringly presented his subject pouring out of a towering vertical format and inserted a self-portrait along the left edge. The painting is one in a series that acted as a kind of political theater in the palazzo of a Venetian diplomatic and military family.

I just remember how Nesta says, in Hofas, that Feyre is the perfect mother and how Bryce says that no one is.
I can't help, but feel like that is the truth and not because she doesn't love Nyx, but because I'm sure Feyre is struggling with a newborn - WHO HAS WINGS! - but I'm sure she isn't letting anyone truly see how she feels or how she is (not) holding up.
I remember her in Acotar, how she did take the role of the parent (more the role of the father, than the mother) and her wanting to be free from the burden of taking care of her family - her sisters manly - and now... she's in her 20s, immortal and already a mother.
She almost died in childbirth. She was kept in the shadow of her own pregnancy. She was left, in a way, alone.
She is, alone. Deep down she's not happy.
Idk what I really want to say with this post, is just that... She should've had the time to live. To taste the freedom she so much wanted before having another delicate life to protect and take care of. To put first before herself.
Now she's bound to her mate, if he dies, she dies, and vice-versa. She chose, selfishly, to have a kid, knowing they could leave him alone (yes, he would have the IC, but both Feyre and Rhysand know how it is losing their parents - especially their mother! - and still went: yes!) and she still doesn't know anything about her powers, her new life and about Prythian.
Her fear was that no one would remember her, her legacy. I'm sure Prythian will never forget. Nor the Spring Court, the Summer Court, the Autumn Court, thanks to what she did/helped do.
Her legacy isn't great, as of now. But it will be remembered.
And... for the comments I saw so many people say: they are immortal fae, in a moment of peace, there truly was NO RUSH in having a kid, especially knowing the possible risks (that Rhysand not even once said) for Feyre. They made a death pact, having kids should have been the last thing on their mind at the moment.
