#re: your post in my inbox is overall great and poetic but i very much disagree about verstappen's driving style and preference of understeer#he absolutely heavily favours oversteer#in fact his *preferred* setup is incredibly oversteer#like a whole new world of front end#it doesn't mean he can't cope with understeer - he doesn't like it (nor does charles) but he is brilliant at it (charles too)#i agree that his style going into a corner is quite different from charles - the way the latter throws himself into a corner is...#extremely aggressive#max is razor perfect and charles aims for perfection on the razor edge is more how i would describe it#for me their car preference is very similar - they love snappy front end with extreme responsiveness and have amazing skill to wrestle it#they scorn understeer because that balance through the whole corner is unnecessary for their level of skill but they ROCK at understeer too#in fact the less responsive front end makes the car more unstable to drivers like them#in their earlier days i would stay max's incomparable quality was his internal clock - absolutely unbeatable timing#so his corners/braking/etc are just perfect and he extracts the absolute maximum#charles of that era actually took a more square/straight racing line which is fascinating as it's not the 'ideal racing line'#but he lets the car rotate on entry into the balancing phase of a corner and exits with a straighter line#not at all like max but very fast#i think he has actually adapted as some of the short shifting out of corners may have led to more tire deg back in the day#meanwhile his tire management (ferrari setup disasters aside) has been excellent last season#elle.txt#analysis#technical#car ride conversations with the hubby... this is what we ramble about lmao#btw thank you so much for the message! and so appreciate your love of my fics. it means so much <3 ty!

#its the final stretch and i refuse to will anything into this universe other than this is the final stretch im having treatment and it ends#this is the end of this here and now i will not continue to live like this i cannot continue to live like this i cannot carry this fatigue#any further genuinely i cannot its not a matter of will not anymore i just... i cannot. im legitimately still hiding at the office#despite everyone else having gone home because it takes too much effort to gather my things and walk to my car and im afraid of falling#i forgot my cane at home and its cold and my body struggles with temperature regulating and seizes up so badly#but the fatigue has finally reached a point where its hard to lift my bag or put my coat on or my jewelry without help#or walk across the parking lot just to get to my car and its not like the usual hey we have to adjust to new level of disabled#it's fatigue kneecapping you put of nowhere with a tireiron until you can barely loft your bag or fix tea or prepare dinner#and the fact the all the joy of food has been robbed from me because everything takes so much goddamn effort now#everything takes ten more steps and an hour more planning and special ingredients and yes i know lots of people live like this always#but i haven't and its been a forced short term adjustment period with absolutely no support from medical professionals#and im the only cook in my household/family/immediate social circle so all the labor inevitably falls on me not out of malice#but by default even if they try to help they can only do so much because they dont know what to do#i am literally on the verge of a meltdown just thinking about how much effort dinner is going to take because i cant just#eat a fuckin box of easy mac or ramen with an egg and go to bed no I've got to make a special soup with special ingredients#or a proper balanced meal with protein and veg and whole grain and certain seasoning#and im just so fuckin tired im so goddamn tired if this radiologist doesn't come back and say i can eat freely come Friday#i genuinely dont know what im going to do#food is one of my greatest joys and to be limited even in such bizarrely simple ways requiring so much excess labor#is too much. its too much on top of all this hypothyroidic fatigue. i cant do it.#i dont want to go home and make a fuckin soup. i want pizza. i want take away. i want lamb curry and rice. i want food i dont have to cook.#god im so fuckin tired my body feels so ancient like something wrecked in the seabed being involuntary hoisted to the shallows again#and im not sure its going to survive the process. i mean it has to. we dont have a choice. but fuck.

am back in melbourne.. man melbourne ain't got shit on sydney it's funny to ever think that 120 years ago they had a slapfight about where the capitals gonna be and they had to compromise and make canberra with its own little territory so you can't say it's in nsw
sydney has like actual landmarks that inspire awe n shit. melbourne has cool stuff too but perhaps for an international tourist the one thing you'd rly pick out is TRAM. maybe some LUNA PARK (AGAIN) or some UNPREDICTABLE WEATHER
you would think that having lived in australia and the philippines I would know a lot about both countries but no. you just feel like a constant tourist in places where you technically live. SAD! anyway I have a fuckin headache end post

some basics
heehoo "hidden lore" time i guess
aka just some basic things of the clans of the west
ill have to adjust the resolution of the completed map for the clans to post here but for basics: they live on a penninsula - the terrain isnt solely based on any particular region but the area of the map shown is actually small comparatively
viperclan and moorclan more the most unique territories given theyre near the edge of the waters to the north, with more precipitation creating cool marshy swampland and the beginnings of a coniferous forest beyond a chasm
boulderclan and lakeclan also have unique territories of course but they make more sense given they are close together near mountains
lakeclan has the more fertile space where rain collects on the one side of the mountain range and further south is even a mountain pass (unseen on the map to the east further is more mountains - putting them in a lil pocket kinda) while boulderclan gets the short end of the stick where rain doesnt often get to and results in a slightly more arid climate, something that lead to a wildfire at one point but left the territory damaged but working on healing itself
also there isnt like...a story perse? all the clans have their own things going on, their own problems, drama, and prophecies that are unrelated to the clans as a whole
they interact and there is some overlap but i dont have any overarching plot
theyre just...cats in a weird lil area between some towns living their lives
though each clan will sort of have some ""main characters"" which will just be ones i really like or have more thought out for them :)
i looove background characters, often more than protagonists in stories, so i find it more fun when everyone is a little more fleshed out!!
