🌸 Carat Anon Event 🌸

Hi Carats! Eun (@seokwu) and I are back with the third carat anon event! We had a blast the previous years and we hope that this year, more people will be able to participate! 

About this project:

Seventeen recently made their comeback with their new mini album, ‘Your Choice.’ For that reason, we have created an event inspired by this comeback which will include optional missions that you can complete with your anon in order to get to know them better!

This event is open to anyone that loves Seventeen and you don’t have to be a Seventeen blog to sign up. All you have to do is sign this form and we will personally match you with a blog you’ll send anons to, while you simultaneously receive anons from another blog!

Rules:

Make sure that you are able to receive anonymous messages, otherwise you won’t be able to participate.

You do not have to follow our blogs, but the updates can be tracked with the tag #caratanonevent3 and reblog the post so that others will see it.

I wasn't so fond of kpop at first either 😳 when my friend was stuck in her army phase I was listening to classic rock exclusively, so I couldn't understand the sudden hype about bts and kpop in general at all lol but I think mic drop was the song that ended up convincing me to listen to more??

the weird thing was the complete 180 bc when I listened to rock I rarely cared about the visual of the band or their personality in general but kpop is kind of based on all of that? but I love being part of both worlds and having access to so much music 😌

i had about 4 friends who were all obsessed with kpop and i was just sitting there like 😐😐 i only know fob and p!atd. i also didn't really get it, but i was also very much a hater of boy bands in general. i think thanxx by ateez made me want to listen to more kpop.

the EXACT same thing happened to me with visuals, i was like "yeah one of them had a fedora and the other has curly hair and the other wears guy liner whatever." and now i’m like "ooooo soonyoung so hot 🥵🥵".

i feel like i enjoy the music the same amount, but there's an added layer to it. it's more of an experience to listen to kpop as opposed to other genres of music.

some recommendations band wise: fall out boy is my absolute favorite band, i love their music. my favorite fob album is "folie a deux". panic! at the disco was also a good band but i feel like as the years progress their music gets worse :/ my favorite album of theirs is "a fever you can't sweat out".

some songs: "a match into water" by pierce the veil, "grand theft autumn/where is your boy" by fall out boy, "dear maria count me in" by all time low, "but it's better if you do" by panic!at the disco, "thnks fr th mmrs" by fall out boy, "all the small things" by blink 187, and "27" by fall out boy are some of my favs.

Omg I was just recently watching True Beauty too ! I love it so much I relate to the main character 💔 there’s another similar show with Cha Eunwoo in it too called My ID is Gangnam Beauty ! I’d suggest it because it’s pretty light hearted and fun but it also has like sad moments since it mostly revolves insecurities and bullying :(

I think I would have to go with Hoshi singing practice because it would literally just be me trying to sing, him saying I did amazing, and then slapping a bunch of auto tune on it 🧍‍♀️Seungkwan would probably say one thing I did wrong and I would maybe burst into tears

oh no... I'm sorry to hear that ;; I would be incredibly anxious as well. always think positive though, I really hope things work out! even if they don't at this stage, it's just a small bump before what's going to be a worthwhile experience. I'm still doing my audiovisual translation masters right now but I'm hoping to work in a related field when I get out lol. for songs, I guess I'm drawn to the melody first but the lyrics are what really makes me feel "attached" to certain songs. speaking of lyrics, this showed up on my recommended the other day HAHA. hmm, favorite cold drink...i've been mostly drinking water lately, but milkshakes are yummy. another sweet drink i like is this mix of condensed milk, lime, and ice. i searched it up and apparently it's a brazilian limeade!! my mom makes it and it's pretty popular in vietnam - i didn't know that's what it's called :o as for alcoholic drinks,,,i ilke soju mixed with melona :3c really, anything sweet is nice!

in response to your question about 1518 strasbourg, this is when and where the dancing plague of 1518 happened dnsbsbshja. it's where the phrase "dance till you die" originated lmao. i think it'd be funny to witness this/take part in it. aside from that, id probably fuck with california in 1849 because the gold rush🧎‍♀️, france in the 1880s, or america in the 1980/1990s! i’m a history nerd courtesy of my father, so i choose all my time periods based off some of my favorite historical events! 1880s for architecture mostly, gold rush because lawlessness and the "wild west", and the 80s for the cold war :)

the night is beautiful if you take the time to live it. for me, my favorite time across the board is lunch time-12:00 ish to 3:00 just because the sun is highest and i feel happiest! i like the night when i go out on bike rides because i feel alive/ like i’m not wasting my teen years

and yes the night is so beautiful when u just give it ur attention. like, on my birthday it was raining and i didn’t have school the next day (and my birthdays i’m may so it was pretty warm) so i just went outside at like, midnight ish and listened to the rain and crocheted and it was truly so nice 😫 also omg last year when covid had us all at home i went for a bike ride almost every day after school to just get out of my room and it was so nice!! it was my bike from when i was like, 12 but i’m 4’11 so i was still able to ride it without a problem lsnsksns

and yes pets r absolutely siblings, my cat prob acts more like s typical sibling than my two younger siblings do lsnsksns (srsly tho my cat is an asshole she fucked up my leg the other day cuz i gave her food late smh)

-yes i do have siblings! two younger (one four and a half years younger and one a little over nine years younger than me so i’m the oldest by quite a bit lol) and i do have a pet! my cat sweetie who is an asshole who i love very much

-i took piano for like a year in second grade but then third grade happened and i was rlly bad at math so my parents switched from paying for piano lessons to paying for math tutoring lessons and i now remember literally nothing from piano lessons sksnksns

-i,,, dont think i have a favorite font? i do like to write in cursive and have a collection of calligraphy pens that i bust out on special occasions so there’s that i guess lol

Hiii it's your carat anon Meraki!! I can't believe it has been a month already, it has been an amazing time getting to know one another.

I love the playlist and I have actually heard a few of the songs before.

I have no summer traditions, we normally just go on holiday somewhere, but it would be nice to start one now that I am a little bit older.

Strawberry cheesecake is sooo nice! I really like bubblegum or cookie dough. Ice cream has to be my favourite sweet treat!

That sounds so cool! I don't think I have ever actually seen a hot air balloon in real life. I hope you get to see them next year, and maybe go to your hometown!! My nostalgia would probably come from school memories as primary/secondary schools break off in July so summer reminds me of how I have aged up and completed my gcse, a-levels and things like that.

I would very much count them as summer activities!! Me and my roommate just ate some melon too, though at the moment it doesn't really feel like summer in the UK as the weather has been all over the place. I went to the beach where the amusements are around a month ago, but I don't know if I have never done a summer activity.

yeah!! I do read fics by carat writers! My favourite genre would be from _____ to lovers, I love the feeling of fresh and new beginnings love a lot... It feels warm to me ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

I've a few favourites for each member but I'll try to narrow down the ones I like a lot! I don't read nsfw/sm*t content but the ones I listed may have slightly suggestive and/or trigger undertones so I'll bold them.

I think most of the ones I like are either really fluffy and soft or straight up angst and relatable. Or it might just be a yearning feeling in general on my end (´ . .̫ . `) out of all the members, the ones I really like are both of minghao's and jun's because I love you. I don't write so I'm more of a reader! I'd prefer longer one shots or a few chapters fics and mostly it's dependent on the member then the summary!

I THINK I'VE WATCHED THEIR TTT 2020. The one at their vacation house!! I watched that during the year end nearing Christmas I think and ahskdnfkfk I feel so damn warm </3 I'm starting to watch gose but from the earliest episodes in 2017!

Yeah haha, I originally followed Get Real for Peniel and ended up getting attached to Ashley/BM (+all the guests) as well lol. I used to listen to How Did I Get Here too!

Ooh I casually listen to Monsta X and Twice, and for a while I would watch crack videos of Twice for some reason lol (especially Tzuyu's and Sana's compilations)
