Two different theropods at extreme ends of the size scale drinking together at a pond 97 million years ago in what is now the Candeleros Formation of Patagonia, Argentina: the small, 1.5-meter-long unelagine dromaeosaur Buitreraptor gonzalezorum, which was a fast, agile predator of arthropods, lizards and small mammals, and the enormous 13-meter-long carcharodontosaurid allosauroid Giganotosaurus carolini, a heavily-built ambush hunter which was big enough to prey upon large sauropods such as Andesaurus and Limaysaurus and intimidate its 7 to 8-meter-long abelisaur rival Ekrixinatosaurus. Much like Tyrannosaurus, its future ecological counterpart from North America, Giganotosaurus could also potentially use the thick bosses that adorned its massive head, which completely dwarfed Buitreraptor’s body size, to deliver powerful striking blows to knock out its quarry or to engage each other in intraspecific head or flank-butting contests over territory or mates.

I know that people brought up how Baxcalibur is based on Concavenator, but I feel like it should be worth noting that this is our first Pokemon based on a carcharodontosaurid theropod of any kind.

So.. since both Arazoa and LOFT either shut down or burst into flames me and my friends have moved to Dynasty for realism community stuff. I'm currently waiting on a couple dedicated groups to nest again to get nested in so in the meantime spun a wheel to randomly choose a dino to play in the meantime and I got Tyrannotitan LOL

I have NEVER seriously played apexes. The most I've done is play super passive Spino who only eats fish and never fights anyone.

I haven't gotten into a fight yet with Rimejaw here but I will say I've accidentally fallen in love with her and I'm going to cry like a little bitch when I inevitably get my ass handed to me by another apex. I am not good at PvP so best I can do is always stay topped up on critters and flee like a coward if I see a giga or other apexes.

She only just hit sub-adult but I'm definitely interested in nesting her 👉👈

AND HERE IT IS! It was really hard to not tell everyone because I knew for more than 2 years now. Please welcome Tameryraptor, a new name for Stromers carcharodontosaurid. Based on Stromers descriptions, drawings and newly found photographs the authors conclude...

...That this animal was distinct from the better known Kem Kem material. I had hoped it to be out before the Bahariya stream but oh well, I did a small update afterwards ;)

A dinosaur tooth of an indeterminate carcharodontosaurid, possibly Eocarcharia dinops from the Elrhaz Formation in Gadoufaoua, Niger. The size and basal morphology of the tooth would suggest a large carcharodontosaurid similar to that of Acrocanthosaurus than what is currently known from the dentition of Eocarcharia. However, there is little known about the full dentition of this species, and most phylogenetic placements classify it as a basal or early diverging carcharodontosaurid.
