!!!!Huge Carmen Sandiego Spoilers!!!!

They couldn’t give us a scene where Carmen and Gray spoke after he undid her brainwashing because that would lead to her asking him questions like “why did you do that for me?” which would lead to him getting dangerously close to confessing he has feelings for her. Like, I really appreciate everything that happened in the build up, Gray’s regret in having to harm Carmen, Graham’s blind trust in her when his memory was wiped, Gray being the one to save her from the brainwashing when he’s the one who wanted her to come back to VILE in the first place, and I know this is a kid’s show but like, can we get a kiss on the cheek??? Can we get a hug maybe??? It feels like I’m asking for a dollar from Jeff Bezos. The one time my main ship in a show is heterosexual and nothing even happens 😫 and El Topo and Le Chevre are running a restaurant together! Like, thank you for that but what about the main ship! But otherwise I thought the last episode was good. The circular ending with Julia and Devineaux chasing Carmen who was after the eye of Vishnu and Gray trying to change Carmen’s mind but this time in the other direction was great. It seems a little rushed but I didn’t mind. At least the open ending with Gray and Carmen leaves the potential for all kinds of fanfiction.

So I read the Carmen Sandiego book Secret of the Silver Lion today and I have many thoughts, but none more pertinent than the fact that Le Chevre, El Topo, and Paper Star are all seemingly killed off at the end of the book. All three of them fall down an extremely deep mineshaft, while already miles underground chasing Carmen, and the language Carmen uses to describe the fall implies that she doesn’t expect them to come back out of it(??????)

Also, apparently Shadowsan just…doesn’t exist in this universe? I have a lot of feeling about it, okay?

i present to you, one of my newer OCs that i love to absolute death.

Her name is Carmen and shes a part of a webtoon im currently working on. Infodump about her lore and stuff below the cut

She's a RED Spy who doesn't participate in the gravel wars whatsoever but does visit bases from time to time. She works as Saxton's personal assassin and information collector. While normally she'd be PURPLE, she's RED due to her extensive demand for such a thing.

She used to work for Gray Mann, actually. She worked under him in the same way that she works under Saxton. Carmen didn't wear as bright of reds when she worked for Gray (for a grand total of 19 years she worked for him.) She was miserable, but at least she had a job she got paid good money to do.

Carmen ceased working beneath Gray after she purposefully blew up his first generation of robots, the first models, the first of many more to come. She betrayed Gray because she didn't exactly want to stand with a man who wished to rule the whole world with robots (although a little part of her did wish she could've).

During the time of the comics, she arrives back at Saxton's base of operations (unaware it had been taken over by the man who was literally out to wring her by the neck) to turn in a mission and ends up getting captured due to her lack of a heads up from her boss.

I wonder why Gray is so insistent that his name is ‘Graham’ after he gets his memory wiped. It seems to be a way to distinguish him from the Gray who has his memories, but it isn’t explained why he let Carmen call him ‘Gray’ during their time at VILE. In episode 1 he introduces himself as ‘Graham’ in the backstory, and then there’s a time skip to what seems to be later that day where she calls him ‘Gray’ and he doesn’t correct her. My only theory is that he was so impressed with how she put him in his place during orientation that he decided she could call him whatever she wants 😂

I've recently started looking at Fandom content for tpp cause I’m finally up to date, and absolutely no disrespect to the designer, but I was rather disappointed by how different some of the designs were from what I’d imagined, so I’m just going to do maybe a few drawings of what I'd seen the characters as before seeing the canon and fanon designs, but maybe update them to more Canon compliant.

But Sasha is one where I refuse to give up the 6′2 absolute unit of a woman that I have in my head.
