Oregon (10-3) was a 13-point favorite, according to VegasInsider.com.

Esta ajudava imenso os outros e foi quando viu uma criança machucada que seu pequeno poder apareceu. Foi quando Carolina deu um beijo no joelho da sua melhor amiga, fazendo a sua ferida curar.

Ao ver aquilo, sua mãe que era deusa Isis escondida, começou a lhe ensinar como controlar seu poder quando era pequena. Para criança, ela pensava que era uma brincadeira e quando cresceu, apenas um sonho que do que sua mãe pensava tinha sido e uma imaginação infantil.

O mundo perfeito de Carolina desapareceu quando aos nove anos, sua mãe saiu de casa deixando apenas para atrás um colar que ela usava sempre de uma pena dourada com um rubi.

Com nove anos, Carolina ignorou o que a sua mãe lhe ensinou ou que era para ela, porque a partir daí seu pai entrou numa grande depressão e azares da vida. Ele quase não queria sair de casa, chorava e bebia sem parar. Até que aos quinze anos de vida da menina, este perdeu o emprego a obrigando a começar a trabalhar enquanto estudava.

Foi uma vida dura para Carolina, tentando tirar as melhores notas possíveis e ainda trabalhar para sustentar sua família. Mas ela queria um futuro melhor que aquele e demonstrar há sua mãe, que tinha uma enorme raiva, o que esta perdeu.

Aos dezoito a menina conseguiu entrar na universidade para estudar medicina e seguir o seu sonho de ser cirurgião. Nessa altura, a garota tinha poucas lembranças da mãe e com seus vinte e três anos, estas já tinham quase todas desaparecido da sua memória e serem substituídas por raiva.

Não sabia o que lhe deu naquele dia, mas ela decidiu usar o colar que sua mãe. Enquanto caminhava em direção há universidade , um grupo de homens lhe apanhou por detrás. A garota tentou fugir e lutar mas parecia que a sua força era inútil em comparação ao dos homens e com um pequeno ataque na cabeça, ela desmaiou.

Nos seus sonhos, imaginava que isto seria a sua morte e como poderia fugir. Até que abriu os olhos e estava em outra cidade, em outro lugar mágico. Ao descobrir a razão por estar alí, sabia que odiava tal coisa. Ela queria voltar ao seu mundo, finalizar seus objectivos e cuidar do seu pai que se descobri-se que ela desaparece-se, coisas horríveis iriam acontecer.

Aquilo tudo a deixou ainda mais furiosa quando descobriu que sua mãe, afinal não tinha desaparecido mas sim abandonado para voltar ao seu mundo de deusa. Não gostava da razão de estar alí e o resultado, mas sabia que tinha que sobreviver para voltar ao seu mundo e ser forte pelo seu pai.

The Rose Garden, in Wilson, North Carolina contains over 1200 rose plants consisting of 180 different varieties.  The roses typically bloom between May and October each year.  I’ve stopped several times traveling between Southern Maryland and Oriental, North Carolina to smell the roses (or to photograph them).   They are simply beautiful — !

Take on South Carolina and the fallout from it?

Ugg, its ugly.  Basically this entire Primary has been dominated by Biden, who has the largest chunk of the Democratic Party Supporting him.  Now bidens supporters are divided into roughly three groups

1) Conservative/Moderate Democrats who like him as an alternative to both the Republicans and the Progressives

2) People who don’t like Biden but think he is the only one who can beat trump

3) Older African American voters who think Biden will continue Obama’s administration as part of an incrementalist effort and think Sanders/Warren will back fire

The second group made up about half of Biden supporters, people who don’t actually like him, but think he is the only one who can win.  So the hope of the first three primary states was...to make him look weak so they would desert him.  Biden supporters as a whole made up about 30-40% of the entire democratic party, meaning that everybody else was fighting over that 60 percent.  So Biden was always the main threat.  The key is...to make him look weak so his supporters will leave him.  The first three states were never going to look good for Biden, but South Carolina was his stronghold.  The hope of his campaign was to weather the damage of the first htree states so he could bounce back and kick ass in South carolna.  The dream of his opponents, in particular Sanders, was to weaken him so much that by the time we got to South Carolina, Biden looked like a joke

And it seemed like he was working.  He had basically no presence on twitter, he didn’t do well in the debates, he was hit by fundraising issues, he was regularly mocked for being boring and uninteresting.�� And then he got 5th place in Iowa, 5th place in New Hampshire and only 2nd place in Nevada.  The attention shifted to Sanders and Pete, Biden seemed like a loser.  And then Bloomberg entered the race and started to threaten Biden’s place.  The centrists were split between 5 people.  Biden just seemed utterly irrelevant.  

And...it didn’t make a difference.  Once we got to a state he had an advantage in, he wins, he wins 50% of the vote.  And Tom Steyer wins 11%, and then immediately drops out, so we can presume that would have gone to Biden as well.  And Pete wins 8% and drops out, which also likely would have gone to Biden.  Even if Warren and Sanders had joined forces they would have been crushed.  

So on its own, South Carolina doesn’t mean to much, Sanders did well enough, but he clearly hasn’t hurt Biden properly.   And so as we go to Super Tuesday it is clear, Biden is back.  And that could mean trouble for Sanders and Warren.  

Basically despite all the damage he has suffered, Biden hasn’t actually lost any support.  Which is kind of what Sanders was banking on this whole time.  In fact, Biden likely has gained support, cause Pete and Steyer are out of the race and their donors can turn to Biden now, with Amy likely following soon after.  Then of course Bloomberg being murdered by Warren non national TV means he isn’t around to hurt Biden as much (though Bloomberg is super dangerous in other ways).  So Biden might finally be enjoying absolute control of the centrist wing of the party after a year of infighting and that isn’t good for Sanders and Warren.

Now this doens’t mean Biden is the frontrunner.  Sanders has a massive amount of cash and a ton of delegates as well as a very capable fundraising machine, and Biden still isn’t a great campaigner.  But the dream scenerio is likely dead.  THe hope of the Sanders campaign was to do so well in the early state that Biden will collapse and then he can just pick off his weaker rivals.  Warren seems to have had the same plan but with the goal of co-opting them instead.  This hasn’t worked and in fact it seems like Sanders and Warren made some big mistakes after Iowa.  So instead of an easy victory, it looks like this is going to be a long brutal primary, though Sanders is still the favorite

Why on earth is Harriet Tubman hanging around Ohio?  Why?  The state and the region was not her base of operation.  She usually headed south into Maryland and escorted runaways from that state to either New York or Canada.

I realize that Noah's situation was similar to that of fugitive Margaret Garner, whom the state of Ohio wanted to prosecute for killing her child after she and her family were captured by slave catchers in late January 1856.  But Ms. Garner was sent back into slavery FOUR WEEKS after her capture.  Four weeks.  It probably would have been sooner.  Yet, Noah had to wait FIVE MONTHS in Ohio for a judge to decide whether he is to be executed for murder or sent back into slavery?

Why is Ernestine a field hand?  No cotton planter (I can only assume that the Roe Plantation is located in South Carolna's Sea Islands) in his right mind is going to purchase a 40-something year-old woman with no experience in the field as a cotton picker.  A planter would either purchase a slave who is at least 20 years younger than Ernestine or purchase her to serve as a house slave.
