it's 5pm and I finally came home from an erratic and very unproductive shopping trip (I literally only got sunscreen, tea, brown eye pencil, boring shampoo) and I still haven't had a "proper" meal today. At least I got to wear my cherry skirt one last time before I'm officially too old.
#I had ice cream (not magnum omg I HAVE learned my lesson. something lass fatty and gross)#and a tomato just now. and some grapes/carrot/biscuits for breakfast#I feel. faint. but eating now would also be kind of pointless.#I'll have to do it but I'm not happy about it

my poor white russian mother doesn't realize that my proficiency with spices is all bc I know what salt does with spices

quick poll (metaphorically speaking): do baby carrots almost always taste disappointing, or is that a problem where i live specifically?

#literally was just trying to remove a hang nail why do you need to watch me do that#once i was eating seaweed chips and i looked over and she was staring at me bc she could hear me#and she thought my chips sounded gross 🙄 i literally had to stop eating them. i cant handle people commenting on what im eating#shes great usually but sometime i want to tell her to fuck off#she once told my other coworker that she was eating carrots too loudly and now she just wont eat carrots here#she also gets mad if my other coworker eats food out of glass containers with a metal fork bc of the clinking#like just fucking get some noise cancelling headphones please and let us eat in peace 😩

i didn't seriously realize i had favorite foods until recently, and sometimes the understanding that i really do enjoy a food takes me by surprise.
anyway this post brought to you by my wolfing down a pint of B&J's pistachio pistachio ice cream so fast because i fucking love pistachios man.
#other favorites also include Lemon Jelly Donut and Carrot Cake#there's others but like they're more categories of foods rather than specific types of food#like the ice cream of the pistachio pistachio was tasty don't get me wrong#but i was 100% mainly continuing for the stachios#i have also learned about several Hate Textures which i didn't think I had any of#my disgust at the texture of tide pods has fixed my hangups about laundry almost entirely#we'll tackle the remaining hangups as they arise but like#they're kinda corner cases and i think my revulsion at Tide Pod will outweigh my shame of someone else doing my laundry#even if it's embarrassing laundry#i also do not like the no-slip bottom of the silicon rolling mat for pastries that we have#the elder toguro's body feels like a tide pod i decided#i'm equally grossed out by him as i am the pods#i can do the dishwasher ones just fine#the laundry pods are just. ive been colllecting the oil that drips down from my baked potatoes in a pan so it doesnt fall onto the bottom of my oven and its VERY sticky and hard to clean off the pan and i just realized im wondering if im making like. potato oil
#you make carrot oil from roasting carrots (VERY DELICIOUS. i would drink this if it wouldnt make me sick)#so this is probably just a very sugared oil from the potatoes. i wonder if there's like. a use for it. i should taste it#carrot oil tastes good it just tastes like. yup thats carrot flavor distilled#i add it all into the blender when i make my carrot soup after roasting#wonder if there's any culinary uses for potato oil. it is HEAVILY sticky and gross-feeling. im sure its good for adding starch to something
