Yes, I've been rewatching Utena and here I am trying to do stuff on mobile and I gotta say, can't get used to work on the screen of my phone orz but at least I was able to do something for Cass appreciation week thingie and had to take the chance to use the crossover prompt (ง ื▿ ื)ว

Sorry but Cass is not as "noble" as Utena so I had to put her as the chara she actually fits, Jury-senpai :3 and Raps is just there because she doesn't fit Shiori also yes, inspired by "that" scan uwu

Okay Lunter shippers, for those who don’t know last night Zeno (hunter’s VA) changed his display name to 'hunter noceda'. It only lasted for a couple of hours but that was enough to gain attention on twitter.

What does mean?
 Well, that’s the problem. We aren’t sure. As most of you are familiar with, the majority of the fandom sees Luz and Hunter as 'siblings', to them this basically confirms, that Camila basically adopts Hunter, Then there are others that are just dubious of it and shrug it off as a troll, as Zeno has been known to do.

And I’ve been in my thoughts for that past day and spoke with a couple of friends. So the most important first thing to say is that Zeno is just a voice actor. The ONLY people that have the power to make anything CANON are the WRITERS or the CREATOR themselves. No one else, while yes there are people who work on creating the episodes they CAN NOT magically make things canon. Not storyboard artists, not animators, and definitely not VAs.

This could be hinting at the direction of where the show is going but again, nothing is confirmed.

Also, it’s okay to mourn it. I kinda did that too. Grieved during those hours Zeno had that up, I was still putting my thoughts together. Also for the love of everything don’t attack anyone who continues to ship it, it’s not worth your time putting a negative post about 'now its confirm so weird to ship it'. Come on, there is no SOLID confirmation they see each other as EXPLICIT siblings.

What if does become canon? Well, it’s hard to say. I’ve been in the TTS fandom where people actively ignored the creator’s intent of Cass/Rapunzel being 'sisters' and continue to ship despite it. And that’s with Cass and Rapunzel having the same parental figure at one point but at different times. And you don’t see them get shit for. The only difference is that Cassunzel is wlw ship while Lunter is a m/f ship. Watch as the same people who ship Cassunzel are the same people that are going to shit on the Lunter shippers if it does siblings canon. Double standards is a bitch.

I’m no stranger to completely ignoring canon endings. I’ve watched BOTH Voltron and TOA completely collapsed in their endings. ROTT who? Voltron s8 who?

Plus, why now if that’s what their intentions were? You should have established it sooner like with King. Then people wouldn’t have jumped on the shipping train. Now you have people that are too emotionally attached to the ship (such as myself) and do what?

TL; DR Luz and Hunter’s relationship is still open to interpretation. Personally, I would like to be that way. It’s ultimately up to you whether you feel comfortable continuing to ship it.

As for me, I fear that it is a hint of where the show wants to take their relationship. My view of their relationship was something very reminiscent of the dynamic I had with my high school crush rather than 'siblings'. I would find it strange that they would try to confirm sibling dynamic on them this late in the show and given the earlier concepts of the show. Half of me wants to step back but the other half wants to continue. I still have so many ideas left for them. And Goldenlight week is coming up too. So for now I’ll keep posting, unless Dana says something. Maybe I’ll sprinkle some more platonic stuff I’ve been putting on the back burner.

some miscellaneous biker au drawings from 2020-2021!

i havent touched it in a while, but i still care about this silly little au. i was just a fresh graduate from college and before i found work, i spent all my free time writing and drawing the comics.

i was in the fandom since the show started, and i used to be active on tumblr back then (before the purge...), but i only drew like a couple pieces of fanart. only last 2020 after the finale i revisited these two, and now i have a HUGE backlog of just cassunzel art to post over the next few days/weeks.

Thank you so much ❤️ The ceremony was beautiful, I'm still reeling from it. It had been raining for weeks and the day of, it stopped raining, and right as we were saying our vows, this golden sunbeam peeked out from the forest and illuminated the lace in the arch. That night, it was the full moon and also the Flower Moon, and the grounds were lit so brightly you could walk around freely. It was fairytale. It's been sunny ever since. I'm just... It was magical.

Summary of the fic (link to which will be posted in a reblog) by @laikaspeaks: In an alternate universe Cassandra is a unicorn whose horn was stolen to create a dragon-slaying sword. When she escapes before the sword can be completed she only has one option: find and kill a dragon, and use the power to reunite with her horn. What she didn't expect was that she would have more than a little in common with the dragon.

Cassunzel Week Day 5 - Dreams / Sacrifice

In the courtyard there is a statue.

Rapunzel wonders how she could have missed it; it stands eight feet tall, and the bronze figure gleams in the sun with a fresh coat of polish. The hero that stands before her is clearly well loved and well mourned, as the base of the statue is carpeted with sunsetflowers, and those that overflow scatter onto the ground in a ring. At the hero’s feet is a severed demon’s head, half consumed by the red flowers that pour artfully around it. In her hand, a sword reaches out to the cloudless, red sky.

It’s an intriguing piece, made all the more curious by the fact that the sun dances around it at every impossible angle, blocking the hero’s face from her sight with a harsh glare. Rapunzel ducks left, and then scurries right— then fakes left but stops, but the dancing sun can’t be fooled. She looks around, searching for someone who can explain what she’s looking at, but the courtyard is empty. There isn’t even a single pigeon perched on the sandstone parapets. It’s dead silent, and not even the sound of crashing ocean waves reaches the castle.

The sun gleams off of the golden plaque, staining her eyes in white. Never one to back down from a challenge, Rapunzel approaches it with a shrewd squint until her shadow finally conquers the incessant light.

A Loving Friend, Daughter, and Hero

Oh.

Rapunzel looks up again, and meets Cassandra’s gaze. Her face is permanently sculpted in a proud grin, though she looks down towards her onlookers with soft eyes that defy the metal they’re warped by. Cassandra smiles at her as though they’re sharing an inside joke, but Rapunzel doesn’t share her amusement. She clambers onto the plinth with hands and knees, parting the red sea of flowers.

The counterfeit Cassandra is taller than the real thing; it probably has something to do with angles and perspective, but as a result Rapunzel can’t even reach her chin by the time she’s standing on Cass’ toes. She reaches out with trembling fingers to cup her cheek in hand, and flinches back. Cassandra’s skin is warm— it burns to the touch, inflicting pent up heat from the overbearing sun.

Rapunzel decides she’s not a fan of oneiric irony.

It has to be a dream— it has to be. Cassandra lived. Cassandra lived, and the spectre of Tromus is going to appear any second, or maybe her subconscious reflection again—

Cassandra’s smile remains stony, but Rapunzel swears it’s more melancholy now.

“I want to wake up,” she whispers, her voice cracking with unsurety.

“I want to wake up,” she repeats, firmer, but nobody appears. Not to attack, and not to help.

Rapunzel sits down atop the plinth at Cass’ feet, burying herself amongst the sunsetflowers, and rubs the tears from her cheeks. Hours may have passed, but the sun is fixed above her head and the sky settles on a burnt orange.

Cassandra keeps smiling.
