ALBERTO AND VIRGINIO: MY HUSBAND AND MY SON. Disappeared within ten years. United by two opposite characters. The exuberant, extroverted father, the lonely and silent son. The father, industrialist, superintendent of the "Regio" Opera House in Turin, composer of music, collector. For him, going to antique dealers and art galleries was a passion and a game. Nothing relaxed and amused him more. Every day he went to one or another antique dealer, chose the object of his desire, negotiated, solely out of passion, never thinking of making an investment, but only cramming his homes with new treasures. And he bought the houses to fill them with beautiful objects: so it was for those in Paris, Rambouillet, Saint Paul de Vence, Cap Nègre, Rome and Castagneto Po. The son, a graphic designer, considered the wall a thing in itself, important perhaps even just for a reflection of the sun, and before hanging something on it, he studied it in all senses: the measurements, the background color and the reflection took moho time. Thus it was that the villa of Cap Nègre, which he restored, according to its origins in pure Art-Deco, was purged of all unnecessary and superimposed things over time, to recover linearity and essentiality
