KB: New Zealand? Castle, are you using our honeymoon as an excuse to go and tour Middle Earth? He clasps his hands together joyfully. RC: I’m game if you are. KB: I was hoping for something more romantic and less … hobbity. RC: Why does everyone always think those two are mutually exclusive? (he’s right. Good food, lots of dancing & music…) KB: And it should be a place where neither one of us have ever been to. RC: Agreed. A perfect spot that will be ours and ours alone. KB: Like Barcelona. RC: That’s where I took Meredith. She backtracks. KB: Okay. Um … Galapagos. I’ve always wanted to go there. RC: Gina. KB: Seriously? RC: Yeah. Part of our whirlwind honeymoon tour. KB: Fine. Swiss Alps. I hear they’re breathtaking. RC: They are. KB: No. RC: Yeah. It’s where Meredith and I used to winter. KB: You know what? I think a better plan would be for you to make a list of places in the world that you have never honeymooned, vacationed, or married any of your other wives. He raises his orange juice glass at her. RC: How hard could it be?

(he points) We ID’d her as Pam Hodges, 32. RC: Hanging as in, by the neck? KR: Yeah. But what’s really bizarre is the way the victim looks. He pulls back the body bag to show them. PAM HODGES bears a striking resemblance to LP. RC: Whoa. Is that Lanie’s sister? KB is affected, too. KB: (shakes her head) Lanie doesn’t have a sister. Are Pam Hodges and Lanie related? LP: Nope. But they say we all have a twin out there somewhere. I guess this one’s mine. KB: Lanie, we can deal with the preliminaries later. LP waves her off. LP: I was shook up at first, but I’m fine now. (Heck yeah girl. Shaken up of COURSE.) She died between 2 and 4AM. Her neck did not break because the killer rigged the wires so her feet were just off the ground. She probably was strangled to death.

Kindle Series Management!

I can't tell you how excited I am that KDP has added the manage series feature for independent authors to be able to group their works together. I took advantage of it last night and grouped several miniseries together. Check these first five titles out! The rest are coming as I revise and publish! Draoithe: Tantalu *Prequel Draoithe: A Pack Forms Volume 1 Draoithe: The Council Volume 2 Draoithe: Magic Calls to Magic Volume 3 Draoithe: Dragons Come Volume 4 Draoithe: The Ruiri Complete and other miniseries will be grouped together soon!

6x9 Paperbacks!

As you all know, I made a mistake when I first began publishing the books and uploaded my manuscripts as 8.5x11 books as I was learning. I continued it because that size is much less expensive to produce, but have caved to the belief that the 6x9 size is the accepted standard book size. So if you collect the paperbacks and want the standard version, look for Draoithe: The Ruiri Complete Volume 5 edition 2 along with it being added to the Draoithe Series Saga on Amazon. This is exactly the same story only it is in a differently sized book. All of the parts were already 6x9. so it made sense to offer both especially when the 6x9 allows for expanded distribution and the 8.5x11 does not.

Behind the Scenes

The day job does suck the energy to write and focus on my books. I do so wish that I had the luxury of being able to dispense with it, but at least I do something I'm good at that I can take pride in even if it's no longer what I would choose to do. Sigh... Merch is still a sore point. And that's why I'm pushing back once again on any kind of audio/video book or podcast. I want to do all of that so much, but there is only so much time in a day, and I still want to write. So... If it matters to anyone, I have added nearly 10,000 words to the last title in the series. No, the other 'last' stories aren't finished, but that's okay because I write the scenes as they come to me, not necessarily in the right order. LOL. I do see the end, so I guess I'm working with the results in mind to be able to obtain the goal. I am taking a week off from publishing new titles so I can get the series organized correctly on KDP! Wish me Luck! No Negotiations will begin publishing next weekend! Gaspard Gautier is back!

Saoghail Elias stepped into Enrith as the new Ri tuaithe. He was too young and dumb to be able to do the job. He knew it. His father hadn’t given him an option. He'd pissed the man off. No real surprise there. How was it his fault that King Elias’s mistress preferred his cock to his father’s? Whatever. Only he was in nowhere and seriously missed the court. The old king of Enrith died. His son was a bastard and only six years old. The snot-nosed brat wandered around the castle irritating the men at arms crying over his dead father. He would have to do something about the kid. He should’ve killed the boy and deleted the threat, but Vadi was just a kid. None of Elias’s men at arms were happy to have been shipped off to the backwater castle on the edge of Connacht. The kid wasn’t faring well at the hands of surly men. Saoghail sure as hell was in no mood to babysit the boy. Murdering the little guy felt far too gruesome, though. Saoghail sighed. Forget the kid, what was he doing there? He was a second son. He knew next to nothing about running a castle...

Theon took Winterfell in s2 but Robb was still recognized by everyone as the King of the North. He had thousands of bannerman. The Starks lost their main castle but that's not when they lost their Kingdom. And that was because it wasn't worth postponing the war against the Lannisters to travel back up to kick Theon then Ramsay out of it.

Robb was killed in 3x9. The Battle of the Bastards was 6x9. A measly 3 years.

The Starks were separated from each other for most of the series but it had nothing to do with losing control of the North.

Jon joined the Night's Watch when Ned was still Warden of the North. Arya was on the run before Ned was executed. Sansa was a hostage. Robb was busy leading his troops. Catelyn advised him when not attempting to rescue or get justice for her kids. Bran was always going to seek out the 3ER.

That leaves Rickon as the only one of the Starks who truly had his life altered when they lost Winterfell. And he's the one who died when they tried to get it back.
