so i've been pondering this and since you've been doing a lotta stuff for your wraith!scratch au i thought i'd ask: how d'you think scratch reacted to learning he was gonna be a dad? was he excited, nervous, was he the kinda dad that talked to the baby before they were born so they were familiar with his voice? (i bet he sang to it, big ol' theater nerd he is)

When he first found he was gonna be a dad, he was EXTREMELY NERVOUS. For months he worried about the possibility of not being a good parent or the kid not liking him. He made A LOT of mistakes in his life (and afterlife) that he was afraid of failing his kid. But he was determined to be a good dad no matter what! He ended up reading A LOT of parenting books, staying up late at night taking notes, and even asked for endless advice from Pete and Sharon. And he was definitely the type of dad that talked (and sang!) to the baby before they were born.

from what i can recall, the movie and the show were being developed concurrently. at the very least, the show was stated to be made in two years’ time. the movie was released june 2017 and the show was released in july 2018; they didn’t have the final movie to adapt on during the pitch bible/story phase so they probably looked to only the books-- or if they had bits of movie details, then edith wasn’t there yet. 

so the show is less of a soft continuation, and more of an alternate take imo

though...

there was a small edith cameo in one of the last(?) tetocu productions released, the christmas blissmas special

I don't use tumblr on Christmas Day because that's an art day, like Halloween tends to be for me.

Jenny Nicholson's video on Evermore park, aka a cosplayLARPer's nightmare

If any of you have 4 hours to kill while something plays in the background I HIGHLY recommend Jenny Nicholson's deepdive on a Youtube larping park called Evermore. The first half of the video covers it's creation and best moments, which remind me of my local Dickensfaire San Francisco festival -which looks really fun. The midsection covers the park's decline and the entire final half is Jenny the theme park/escape room buff going to Evermore to experience it herself.

This video is such a wild ride to me and I'm not even a LARPer, RPG Fantasy or cosplay enthusiast...if you are any these things I imagine this could be a mix of funny and infuriating.

Really very sad for the Evermore fans and park actors who really are the heart of the experience and have been horrifically exploited by this ill-thought CEO. You all deserve better and it would be amazing if Evermore could somehow be taken from him and given to the people/a person who knows how to actually manage festivals. The revolving gate for a park like this and changing themes is so my speed even if I don't LARP.

@castorochiaro, it took me a bit to think of something we both like other than MLP (because I already gave an MLP answer), but then I remembered something I've believed for a long time.

Iron Man has a transformation sequence. His suit ups match up with all the expectations of a typical magical girl transformation sequences, minus the bit where the character is naked and surrounded by magical ribbons (though I'm sure some RDJ fangirl has wanted to see this).

This is highly silly compared to the last one, but I had to bring it up because I told my BF, a massive Iron Man fan, this once and all he could do was physically recoil at me. I choose to believe he did so because I showed him an uncomfortable truth and he had no way of refuting it.

Went to a Hazbin Hotel sim that’s being worked on in Second Life--something I’ve been off of for 3-4 years, yes it took them making a HH sim for me to relog on--and here’s some pics! It’s not finished in any way, but the main part of the sim is up, as are the person’s AV shop and the two clubs from “Addicted”. I ran around as Stolas while grabbing pics, so if you see bird daddy, that’s me. xD

another hazbin highway question! besides giving vaggie an actual name, are there any other character/design changes you'd want to make for that au?

OHHH MAN AN ARTISTIC QUESTION..... THAT’S HARD TO ANSWER IN WRITING.

I mostly like the designs, so I don’t think I would have changed much except for simplifying them. I saw a lot of people say that a lot of the designs are very “animation un-friendly” and... yeah, they’re right. Charlie is fine, but there’s a lot of details and smaller patterns and asymmetry on the others so it’s like yikes.

Let’s see, other changes... I think I’d make Vaggie/Virginia’s moth aesthetic more obvious, or give her small, tattered and broken wings. Angel would look like a spider specifically as part of his punishment; he was an arachnophobe in life, so upon waking in Hell he finds he’s got the anthropomorphic form of something he was terrified of.Not one hundred percent sure if I’d take Husk’s wings out or not. I’d also go with an explanation on why characters like Charlie and Alastor look more human with the fact it’s both a glamor and a sign of rank. Those higher on the chain or in power look more human, while ‘grunt work’ demons look more anthro or monsterlike. Or in the case of Angel, are being punished. Virginia being a former angel means she retains a lot of human appearance as well.

...also Angel would have a lot more lines that weren’t sex jokes or propositions. Because c’mon. I think he’d serve as something like the audience surrogate and be asking the questions the viewers would potentially have, on how everything works and what’s going on, and be a snarky punk about it.
