So we know from TW3 storyline with the Mad Witcher Kiyan that a lot of the cat school is made up of Witchers with Elven origins. But I’ve never seen anyone mention that this could be the reason they tend to be more unstable? Essentially they use mutations meant for humans (presumably) on descendants of elves and it’s probably a bit fucked. We know elven and human ancestry can physically mess up a person, like is shown with Yennefer, so were most of these trainees physically disabled in some capacity when they were brought to the Cat School? Is that why more schools didn’t adopt this method? Does it have to do with them being slightly closer to the Source and having a bit of chaos themselves which makes them more prone to mental illness? Thinking of Eskel being shown to have proficiency in signs due to his inclination to magic, it seems unlikely. So it must be something more physical/emotional. I don’t know, just pondering. Also, we under appreciate Kiyan as a fandom, please give this poor lad some love, I beg you.

Summary:

Two years after Kiyan's rescue, the nightmares weren’t as vivid and painful as they had been in the beginning, especially with Adrien’s calming, familiar scent and warmth beside him. Calming, that is, except the nights that Adrien also suffered nightmares of his own.

Soavine was approaching, the nights were growing longer and colder, and Adrien's nightmares more frequent. The prince still didn't want to talk about them, and Kiyan didn't know how to break the standstill. He wanted to help him, but there was nothing he could do but hold him in his arms.

Chapter 2 is finally here. This text turned out to be more difficult than I thought, and I've been having so much difficulty lately writing something that would satisfy me or be just simply good, so I hope that despite my struggles, you will find something positive in this text.

He woke up in a cold sweat, with a heavy heart and remorse the size of the Continent.

Adrien was sitting on the bed next to him, his face in his hands. He was crying.

Gods, what have I done ? Kiyan reached out to touch Adrien's shoulder.

"Don't--" Adrien flinched, and Kiyan's heart sank. Adrien got out of bed without looking at him. "I need air."

Before Kiyan could react, Adrien grabbed his loose night robe and left the room, closing the door behind him. Kiyan was left sitting alone in the absurdly large bed with no companion but his guilt. 

Adrien couldn't have known that Kiyan had been in his dream, that it was he who had ruined the meeting with his mother, tainting Adrien’s dream with his own fear. But the words of that dream, in the voice of Adrien’s mother whom he had missed for so long, had caused great damage all the same.

This is it, he’s finally realized what you really are, he’s going to leave you, Kiyan’s mind insisted. He flopped down on the silk sheets. The lurking panic was starting to take over his mind. It was getting harder and harder to breathe.

Not now , he told himself firmly. Right now, he had to take care of Adrien. He forced himself to get out of bed, still with that unbearable pressure in his chest, and follow Adrien.

Chapter 3 summary: Kiyan always tried his best not to think about Adrien when the nightmares came back. He didn’t want to confuse his memories of the prince with these horrible images; he didn’t want to contaminate them with fear and doubt. He had put too much work into definitively separating the twisted visions that the demon had served from reality. But now he desperately needed Adrien to be with him.

Kiyan woke up in a cold sweat. He sat up in his bunk and scanned the room with narrowed pupils. Nothing but the moan of the wind, the splashing of water, the rain hitting the decking, and Gisbert’s calm breathing as he slept in the next bunk. The evidence should have been calming, but Kiyan’s heart was still pounding like a blacksmith’s hammer. Finally, he realized why his instincts were screaming danger. His mind was playing tricks on him, imposing on this scenery a memory of how, in almost the same cabin, under the same natural circumstances, he was overpowered and kidnapped by a mage…

This is absurd  , he chided himself, now furious with the weakness, trying desperately to control his breathing.  I have been on ships and boats many times since that and never–

COWARD , a hissing voice violently disturbed his thinking. WEAK. VICTIM.

Kiyan put his hands over his ears. It was for nothing; the voice was deep in his head.

  You are still scared, admit it. You tremble like a leaf every time you hear thunder, you cannot sleep when it rains, you are still afraid that Ireneus will come for you again.

His lungs were burning as he struggled to breathe evenly, and Kiyan could swear he heard footsteps outside the cabin door, could smell magic in the air, even though his medallion rested quietly on his chest. He could hear the mage whispering a spell even though there was no one in the cabin but him and Gisbert. He was getting contradictory signals from everywhere, and the hissing voice was poisoning his mind and not allowing his heart to calm down.

It’s all the same again. You want to go back to your prince and the storm is raging, the voice whispered inexorably. You are back in Bremervoord and going to Novigrad. The mage will come for you again and throw you into his dark dungeon. He will torture you, he will break you, and you will once again belong to ME.

Kiyan felt as though his fear would burst his galloping heart. He wanted to scream, but he couldn’t make a sound, couldn’t even take a fucking breath. He had to somehow control his breathing before he could start to think logically. He’d been trained to listen to his instincts, but right now they were telling him Ireneus was here and he had to do what felt impossible and shut them out. He closed his eyes and desperately searched for an anchor.

One thing that was a very minor disappointment about playing the Witcher 3 was that none of the other Witchers commented if you showed up in Kaer Morhen wearing the scavenger hunt gear from another school. I showed up wearing enhanced cat school gear and no one remarked on it - even though it feels like that sort of thing that Eskel and Lambert would give Geralt a hard time over it.

But now I’ve got the DLCs and there’s a free side quest one where you encounter a Witcher from the cat school and pretty much the first thing he said when I played that quest was a dig about Geralt having a wolf medallion but cat school gear. Exactly what I was disappointed not to get before! I love it!

Normally Kiyan wouldn’t start a conversation - he didn’t feel the need to make friends here - but Gisbert intrigued him. The guard probably didn’t realize it, but the witcher saw clearly that he was favored by the prince. Kiyan had to admit that he was curious about what they had in common, other than their apparent Ofieri heritage.

This sad story about a deaf boy on Witcher's Trials had been on my mind for some time. I always wondered if children with disabilities were admitted to the Trials, and how mutations would affect their bodies. Would children who couldn't walk regain use of their legs? Would those who were Deaf start to hear? If so, how would this affect them? This universe still has so many secrets, so many stories to tell, and so much untapped potential.

As they left Ursten, Titus offered to continue as planned to Est Tayiar Kiyan felt a bit silly refusing after having been so insistent on going, but he was still full of frustrated rage and knew it would be unwise to do anything before he had a chance to meditate and fully shake off his bloodlust. He still felt the need to kill something, and didn't want to risk it being the first person who ended up in his way. He was agitated enough that someone needed only to look at him askance, call him a freak, as charming peasants were wont to do, and blood would spill.

Titus and Kiyan left early the next morning, stopping at the guard post along the road to the elven ruins for Titus to pass on Adrien’s new orders. When they arrived at Est Tayiar, Titus left Kiyan at the ruins and continued along the road to talk to the guards at the next tower.

An initial inspection of the ruins revealed no signs of hauntings, but there was no doubt a lot of magic because his medallion was trembling continuously. He also found faint traces of the encampment, but no sign of people or their remains. Kiyan meditated for a few hours by a small fire, but nothing unusual happened. The place was powerful, but it was clean of wraiths and other monsters. It bothered him a bit. First, because Est Tayiar was the perfect place to become a monster habitat, and second, he remembered that Yosek had spoken of many daredevils who had gone to the ruins but hadn’t returned. So what had happened to them if monsters hadn’t eaten them? Unless it had been another lie that the witcher hadn’t sensed.

Kiyan wasn’t even going to try to make contact with the older members of the expedition. Gloger had made it clear during their first meeting that he considered the witcher a subordinate. Therefore, Kiyan left the professors to Adrien without regret. Especially since he had an eye on a much easier and more willing target to conduct his investigation.

The feast was in full swing when Kiyan decided to go downstairs to the main hall. He had no elegant clothes, but there was no way he would dress up in what the majordomo had brought for him at the behest of the prince. Aside from the fact that he would have looked silly in it, the doublet would have severely restricted his movements, and Kiyan couldn’t imagine fighting in it. He didn’t expect any complications at the feast that would require him to use force, but life had taught him that it was better to always be ready than to expose yourself once and then regret it greatly.

So he chose an intermediate solution - he put on a clean, loose white shirt, which he tucked into the elegant pants that matched the doublet. He even took the time to polish his shoes. He chose to leave the swords locked in a chest in his room. However, he took with him a dagger attached to his belt, as it was impossible for him to remain completely unarmed. It was just against his nature. Either way, it was still too simple and modest attire for a feast in a prince’s castle, but it was neat and certainly shouldn’t offend anyone. Not that he cared about what people, especially the nobility, thought of him, but he didn’t want to cause a sensation. He was going to be inconspicuous, because while he was going to have fun tonight, he was mostly going to the party to do some research. And infiltration required discretion.

The witcher stopped at the top of the stairs and looked around the room. In addition to the members of the expedition, there were other scholars and artists, a band of musicians who played cheerful tunes, and about a dozen courtesans. Not the rough dockside women Kiyan was friendly with in most cities, but elegant and beautiful women who differed from noblewomen only in that their necklines were a little too deep to be respectable in high society.

When Kiyan saw Adrien, he allowed himself to pause completely for a moment, enjoying the sight of the prince in his festive Ofieri robe the color of old gold. On his shoulder he wore a cape in the same color with a royal red lining. The rich colors brought out the warm tone of his skin. His long black wavy hair, which he usually wore tied back, was loose around his shoulders, and Adrien looked simply dashing. There was no one in this room who could match him in terms of appearance. And as if that wasn’t enough, the bloody bastard wore this look as if it cost him nothing, as if he woke up like this.

OKAY WAIT WHAT THE FUCK

I’m replaying Witcher 3 as one does, and I’m doing the Cat School Gear Scavenger Hunt, since it’s my favorite gear and I found this which I seemed to have missed the first time around????

“Garnered information about witcher training and the Cat School of witchers in general. As I suspected, the Cat School witchers are for the most part of elven stock. This school must have some tie to the Elder Races”

I thought the trials didn’t work on non-humans, honestly the fuck. Wait could this be why they’re said to be more unstable than the other schools?

though now I am also thinking about dwarven Witchers....

Day 1. Luckily the teleport deposited us directly in my laboratory. It's good to be home. I had grown sick to the gills of that leaky tub. I hope that storm I summoned smashed it into those craggy rocks off the Grassy Knoll shore.The experiments which my students conducted on drowners in my absence did not yield the expected results. 

As usual, I must do everything myself.I will administer a brew of medicinal opium to the subject. This "milk of the poppy" will keep the witcher in a state of half-consciousness, and thus incapable of resistance. Commencing studies.

Note: I must hold off on my planned experiments while I clear up the demolished portion of my laboratory. I have set the bones in the forearm of one of my assistants. I will now administer a quadruple dose of "milk of the poppy" to the witcher.

Day 4. Subject shows incredible resistance to physical torture. Only broke after the second day of intense labor. Moderately satisfactory results from the interrogation. Garnered information about witcher training and the Cat School of witchers in general. As I suspected, the Cat School witchers are for the most part of elven stock. This school must have some tie to the Elder Races (addendum: perhaps its founder was a member of the Aen Seidhe?

Subject unfit for further study. I have discontinued his doses of poppy.

Day 7. Administered extract of cowbane and hemlock. In typical representatives of the human and Aen Seidhe species such a mixture provokes paralysis of the peripheral nervous system, and eventually the nerve endings as well. This results in muscular, skeletal, pulmonary and cardiac paralysis, and ultimately death through suffocation.

The witcher is not, however, a typical representative of any species. Though the poison did seem to cause some mild irritation (sic!) in his nervous system, his mutated body quickly managed to neutralize the harmful alkaloids.

In a matter of hours all symptoms of the poison I administered have vanished.

Day 15. Stinging him with sea wasp toxin did not provoke the expected results. In order to strengthen the toxin's effect I have poured ethyl alcohol into his wounds. His nervous system seems to be immune.

Day 26. The subject has been tortured, poisoned, burnt, frozen, starved and dehydrated, and despite it all his body continues to function. He eats and drinks by himself, moves about his cell on his own and is able to articulate simple words ("please", "drink", "don't hurt", "stop").

Conclusion: as I suspected, the witcher is a superb energumen! A demon trapped in such an excellently prepared body will become death incarnate, vengeful wrath made flesh – and placed at my command. No one has succeeded in creating a being of such power since the times of Malaspin and Alzur.

This is a great day for science!

tw3 moods, part 3

THE GWENT QUEST NEARS ITS CONCLUSION. zero cards left to be won from players of no renown. three cards left in skellige. then...then it is only the four cards left in novigrad: the fucking passiflora tournament

no i definitely did not spend my first three hours on skellige bopping around signposts to grab all the gwent cards before doing anything else

technically after this i also have to go get the skellige faction deck and other assorted cards from the dlcs but this is not in my Miraculous Book of Gwent so we shall not worry about it yet.

i love skellige and how much people in skellige respect Geralt and how nobody calls me a freak while im walking down the streets here. i also love how half the time voice actors can’t quite decide if they want to pronounce the final E in skellige or not.

finally cleared the skellige part of following the thread and got lambert’s card right before the karadin meeting. idk if they wanted us to believe jad actually changed but his voice actor is the most insincere-sounding motherfucker and anyways the whole Aiden business aside, you can’t make up for engaging in the slave trade by sending a polite letter and donating to local schools, fuck off. i probably wouldn’t have killed him myself (we were in his house, he had no armor and his kids were next door, i don’t like to kill in cold blood) but since lamby was willing to do it for me, well,,

i finally found my girlfriend !!! geralt loves yen so much, i love yen so much, i will literally implode, i’m so happy i got to run a heist with her making sarcastic comments and helping me not die of taxidermy-related hallucinations (sorry mousesack, i regret nothing)

i can’t believe yen brought the unicorn all the way to fucking skellige. i mean i can because it’s yen but goddamn, woman, you do not travel light. i have been trying to figure out what yen finds erotic about the unicorn and i have yet to reach any conclusions. would she be interested in fucking on a stuffed horse? is it the unicorns/virginity thing? is it just proving that geralt loves her enough to do anything for her? if it’s the last one, yen, honey, peg him with your massive troll phallus or something, there is no need to haul a life-size unicorn across the fucking ocean

all that said im pausing on skellige for now to clean up the last of the velen/novigrad points of interest, grab the unmarked sidequests, dig up the last of the continental witcher gear diagrams, and finish out my contracts. this should also net me a few extra levels before i start tackling skellige monsters which will be Nice.

POIs are fun because i went all the way down the western coast of velen by midcopse cutting through lvl5 bandits and lvl4 drowners like wet paper and then hit a guarded treasure with a lvl28 hag out of nowhere and booked it the fuck away from there. are these high-level points of interest in with the low-level ones specifically to wreck the shit of overeager newbies?? what the fuck.

i let gaetan go. killing him is probably the more moral choice but i was underleveled for the quest and i don’t love combat in this game so i just didn’t want to fight him. whoops. also iunno, still feels bad to try and kill a guy in cold blood, ’specially when he just got pitchforked in the gut and is clearly at a disadvantage from pain.

while going to consult dijkstra about assassinations i found a male sex worker in the other side of the passiflora who ISN’T hacking his lungs out and geralt can’t even talk to him properly, all he says is “sod off.” i think this is extra homophobic.

i love sigismund dijkstra an unreasonable amount what the FUCK.

i also love dandelion, i would do anything dandelion asked of me, however absurd, including dressing up as a bandit and concealing my identity by putting a scarf over my mouth while doing nothing about like, the cat eyes, or the two swords. dandelion is a himbo.

i’ve done a lot of sidequests and so far i think my favorite has been Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear. kiyan is just. mm. his story is so fucked up on multiple levels and i love him. close second might be gaetan’s quest just because i like cat witchers.

best non-witcher sidequest so far was absolutely “shock therapy” wherein geralt is asked to “scare” a druid who ~suddenly became mute~ back into speaking. what does he do? proceed to just. annoy the everliving shit out of the poor druid. like, in no way is putting out the fire every time he lights it to try and warm up a form of shock therapy, that’s just being an asshole! also geralt’s surprised/guilty face when he realizes he got tricked into playing a practical joke on this man. geralt you dumb fuck i love you so much. you should have been suspicious the minute the guy offered you a gwent card rather than coin.

other really good sidequests include aeramas’ trial of the cheeses and “fool’s gold.” i haven't finished “reasons of state” yet but i suspect i’ll also really like that one because, well, dijkstra

i have all the enhanced cat gear and all the enhanced griffin gear and the cat gear is just, far superior aesthetically just by virtue of not being green. sad it gains sleeves when you upgrade it but i am a fan of the cowl and it will make me less chilled when we go to skellige. i wish it was black but we are far too low a level to touch beauclair yet. sad to let my goth imperialist look go but the nilfgaard set finally became underleveled u_u

i finally became sort of rich selling everything to novigrad smiths and then immediately hit a wall with crafting ingredients for potions. no longer can i cobble them together from stuff i picked in the forest and stripped from monster corpses. nooooo i need to buy alcohols and craft secondary ingredients. i am spending an obscene amount of money on cordials to make all the white gull i need.

solved my bomb problem by investing a skill point in becoming immune to bomb secondary effects. now i just need to learn how to aim for shit

A Scavenger Hunt.

@oddly-tiny-scissors Hello, I am your secret giftee for the Valentine event! I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I had fun writing it. Thank you for giving such a fun prompt and I hope your Valentine’s day goes wonderfully! Yoosung yawned as he got out of bed, going over to his computer. It was his free day from school, and he was ready to use it for another day of LOLOL action. As he logged on, he saw he had a message from the number one ranking user of the Shooting Star Server. There was a time when the name Hacker God filled Yoosung with rage, as he seemed to always be cheating to keep the number one spot out of Superman Yoosung’s hands, but now, he could not keep the smile off his face when he read that same name. Quickly Yoosung started reading the pm he had got from the other user carefully, it seemed Hacker God had a scavenger hunt planned out for Yoosung and he was more than happy to play along.

“It is I, Hacker God! I have used my talents to find out that my 606 has a free day today, and this is something that I cannot pass up! There is a new legendary item that has just been added to this wonderful game, but alas it has broken into several parts! The only one who can save this item being lost forever is the one and only Superman Yoosung! Are you up to the task? If you accept this quest, head to the area that we all first see when we are born into this word -Hacker God Meow-ut!”

Yoosung Thought for a second as he read Seven’s first clue. His first thought being the main hub where characters spawn into the game, but after a second he realized that was not really the first place you see in the game. Opening up the options tab, Yoosung clicked a button he never thought he would click...the replay tutorial button.

As Yoosung relearned all the basic skills he already had nailed down, he saw something he could have sworn had not been there before...An NPC with a quest marker above it’s head. Walking up to this out of place NPC, he saw it looked like Zen. When he finally got close enough, Yoosung saw there was an interact button. Quickly he clicked on it, knowing full well this had to be what he was searching for.

“Hello, Superman Yoosung. I came here because one of my fans told me about a new item that got added to this game. Thankfully I was able to use my talent to charm this piece of it from an orc that had found it first. Before I can give it to you though, I must make sure you are the real Superman Yoosung with a question. What is Hacker God’s favorite dish that you cook?”

Yoosung watched as a text box appeared on screen, obviously waiting for him to type an answer in. Quickly he typed the word “omurice” into the blank space, smiling as he recalled all the times he had made it for Seven when he stayed over at his bunker. Soon the text box closed, and the Zen NPC had another maker above it’s head, telling Yoosung to talk to him again.

“It seems you are the true Superman Yoosung. I leave this part in your hands, take care of it Superman Yoosung. As for where you must go next, Hacker God has left me with your next clue… Your sack is heavy with all of your loot. From armor, staves, sheilds, and swords. Though what do you do with what you can’t use? Come to the place that has the answer for the next part of this legendary item! - Hacker God Seven Meow-ou...ACHOO.” Oh, I’m sorry Yoosung. It seems I can’t get away from this stupid cat allergy even if I’m in a game. Have fun with your quest though, I should get back to reading my lines for my next play.”

With that, the NPC became noninteractive, and Yoosung started to focus on his next clue. This one was harder than the last...you could after all throw any items that you didn’t want away after all. After a few moments though, Yoosung had figured it out. He was ready to head to one of the most populated areas in any server…the market.

As Yoosung got to the market, he saw the other payers trading their goods, buying upgraded gear and skins from NPC’s, and the occasional player begging for gold as he as new to the game… or just trying to scam some people. Soon enough he saw another quest icon in the flood of people, leading to an NPC who looked exactly like Jumin. Just like before, As Yoosung accepted the quest, this Jumin NPC started talking.

“Ah hello Superman Yoosung, it seems you have been able to figure out Hacker God’s second riddle. I have to say, he has led us to a very interesting place. There are so many economic systems going on in one place, from a free-market system all the way to a barter one. I should have Assistant. Kang write a report on how such a place could remain economically stable. First, however, there is something we must discuss. I was able to get this part of a legendary item for a reasonable price from a vendor at this market and I need to make sure to sell it again for a reasonable price. The thing I’m interested in though is information. Answer this one question I have and this piece is yours. With that being said, here is your question...What is the best way to spend a weekend?”

Again another text box appeared, and Yoosung was quick to type “playing LOLOL” into the text box before deleting it. Playing LOLOL was fun, sure, but that wasn’t the reason it was fun to him. Every weekend, he would always make sure to go over to Seven’s place and do some form of activity with him. These activities would consist of, playing LOLOL with each other, snuggling on the couch with junk food and a movie, a late night drive to watch the stars or trying to teach Seven how to cook...while Seven tried to find ways of sneaking HBC and PHD. Pepper into everything. After deleting his last message, Yoosung quickly replaced it with “Spending time with Hacker God” as that was the true answer to this question. After he hit enter, the quest icon above Jumin’s head reappeared and Yoosung interacted with him again.

“That seems like a reasonable answer and a good piece of information for our trade. I will keep my end of the deal just as you kept yours, take care of this second piece... Ah yes, before you head out, it seems I was also programmed to give you another clue before you head out ahem… “You are so close my 606, only one more piece to go! Listen to my last riddle, and you will finally claim your prize! When mobs are boring and bosses are beaten, there is only one enemy left while you wait for the next in game update. Go to the place that symbolizes this notion for the last piece will be waiting for you! -Hacker God Meow-ut!” ...Hmm, cute, it seems like hacker god even added a cat pun in his riddle. I must be going Yoosung as I have a very important meeting with an elf prince to start selling his kingdom’s bows in this very market. Good luck on your quest and I hope the outcome is favorable for you.”

Again, like with the Zen NPC, this Jumin NPC became non-interactive when he got this last riddle. He knew what this riddle was talking about right away as the second ranked user in the shooting star server. The only enemy left after completing everything this game had to offer could only be other players, as many had tried to challenge him in PVP to get higher up on the leaderboard. There was one place where PVP was known to happen more than any other place in LOLOL, and that was the arena. With that in mind, Yoosung headed out from the market to where he was sure the next part of this legendary item was waiting for him.

As Yoosung got to the area, he was suddenly spamed by PVP requests from those who wanted to take down the mighty Superman Yoosung, and even though he was tempted to take them down, he kept declining and looking for the one NPC he was sure would be here. Finally, after a few minutes of wading through players, Yoosung found the Jaehee NPC waiting for him with a request marker. Just as he did the last two times, he walked to her and initiated the quest.

“Ah hello Superman Yoosung, I’m glad you have made it. It was getting tiring watching all these people try and fight... their form is very wrong. That being said, we should wrap this up quickly...Mr. Han has just given me a new project to work on, and there's a lot of paperwork to fill out. I was hoping to maybe sit down and watch one of Zen’s plays after this...but it seems that will have to wait another time. sigh for now I guess I should focus on the task at hand and give you your last piece of this legendary item. I’m sure you know how this process works by now so, Superman Yoosung, here is your final question from Hacker God… Will you meet me at the space station?”

Unlike the past questions, there was no box to fill in this time. In its place was a simple multiple-choice question with “Yes” and “No” buttons clearly labeled. The question was an interesting one since Seven joked about a space station all the time in chatrooms, but if it meant he could spend time with Seven...he knew the answer. Clicking on the “Yes” button, Yoosung saw the quest marker he was expecting to see above Jaehee’s head and read what she had to say next.

“It seems you were able to understand Hacker God’s... interesting way of speaking more than I could, here is the last Piece of the legendary item Superman Yoosung. I hope you like whatever Hacker God has planned for you, however I’m sure you will if you have made it this far. I must be going now, as I said before I have a mountain of paperwork I must go through before Mr.Han asks me to watch over his cat again.”

With that the third piece of the legendary item. For a split second Yoosung wondered why he didn’t get another riddle to solve when another popup told him he had another new item in his inventory. It seemed that when all three legendary pieces were put into his inventory, they combined inside to a new key item...a teleporter. Most teleporters where a one time use item to fast travel to any destination or player on the map, but this one was different. When he clicked on it, there was only one destination this item could teleport him too, “The space station.”...a place that he had never heard of in LOLOL before. Remembering the last question the Jaehee NPC told him, Yoosung clicked the use button and the screen became dark as it was loading in the new area.

“My 606! You made it to the space station!” Yoosung heard as the map loaded in. “Seven? Where are we?” Yoosung asked back after turning on his voice chat, looking around this new area. Like he thought, this was not a normal in game area. The inside was metal and sleek, like this map came right out of a si-fi film. The walls were lined with windows that looked out into the vast space that was set up while little stars sparkled about. Planets and moons of varying color and size danced around each other and Yoosung could not help but stare at the sight for a few seconds. As Yoosung moved deeper into the map, he finally saw the avatar he was hoping to find by the end of this, Hacker God. “Seven! What is this place...I didn’t even know something like this was in the game!” Yoosung said, walking closer to Seven. “Well my Superman Yoosung, that would be because it technically doesn’t belong in the game. You and I are the only ones who know of this places existence.” The cheerful voice of Seven responded.”Wait, so you hacked into LOLOL’s code...to create an entirely new map?” Yoosung’s confused voice asked next.“That I did!” Seven exclaimed before letting his voice get softer. “I always told you we would meet at the space station, didn’t I? Even if we can’t do that in person, at least not yet, I can at least do that here. I know you are going to tell me I didn’t have to put the work into making this, and I know I didn’t, but I wanted to. This is our place, away from my work, your school, the RFA, and anything else we need to get away from for a bit. This is our place...our space station.” Seven finished. “I...I..” Yoosung started, tears filling his eyes as he was about to break down. Nobody had ever put this much thought into something for him...“ I... don’t what to say...what I can to repay you.” Yoosung finished, unable to find the right words to express the happiness he felt. “You don’t need to repay me, Yoosung.” Seven’s soft voice spoke up again. “Just promise to stay with me in the space station.” He finished. “I love you Seven.” “I love you too, my 606.”

Witcher III DLC info

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt has a massive amount of quests, things to do, and people to talk to. But it also has 16 DLCS available to download, or, if you get The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Complete Edition, it comes with all the DLCs already installed. But what do they do? Well, let's discuss.

DLC 1

The first DLC the game offers is the Temerian Armor Set. The armor set can be bought from a merchant in White Orchard, and even comes with matching horse equipment.

DLC 2

The second DLC offers new beards and hairstyles. The Beard And Hairstyle Set adds some new looks to Geralt's arsenal. You can obtain these premium cuts in a major city, and can pick and choose between six hairstyles, and five different beard styles. Sounds like a win.

DLC 3

The third DLC offers you a contract quest, called Contract: Missing Miners. This quest is as suggested, an investigation into where the Miners are. The quest can be found in Blandare, on Ard Skellig. The suggested level for the quest is level 27, so if you're just getting started, watch yourself.

DLC 4

DLC #4 offers an Alternative Look For Yennefer. This look definitely has some changes from the original(left), but I think we can all agree that it's still great.

DLC 5

DLC #5 offers another armor set, known as the Nilfgaardian Armor Set. It can be purchased at the Crow's Perch in Velen, and offers another set of horse armor as well!

DLC 6

DLC #6 offers you 3 new crossbows with some pretty decent performance. The set is referred to as the Elite Crossbow Set.

DLC 7

Just so I don't spoil anything, I'm not going to go into details about the quest DLC #7 offers. It's called Fool's Gold. The suggested level is 10, and it can be picked up near Lurtch, from a peasant crying over a roasted pig.

DLC 8

DLC #8 contains skins for Neutral Gwent Cards, simply giving them alternative skins, which are known as Ballad Heroes.

DLC 9

DLC #9 is a scavenger hunt quest that allows you to receive pieces of a Witcher gear set and it's upgrades. This set requires you to be level 14 to use it, and it's referred to as Wolf School Gear.

DLC 10

Just like DLC #4, DLC #10 offers an alternative look to a character- Triss Merigold. This outfit is much more revealing then her original outfit(left), going from a yellow and green leather jacket to a plunging gown.

DLC 11

DLC #11 is yet another armor set, which also includes horse equipment. It's the Skellige Undvik Armor Set, and provides really good protection.

DLC 12

DLC #12 is a contract quest- Skellige's Most Wanted. What does it entail? An investigation of attacks on merchants in Fyresdal. Certainly enough to keep you busy when included with the rest of the game.

DLC 13

DLC 13 is a Quest; Where The Cat And Wolf Play. It involves a Witcher from the Cat School, and can be picked up in a note in Oreton called "The Beast Of Honorton"

DLC 14

DLC 14 is another alternative look- this time for Ciri. Whether the Alternative(right) is better than the original(left), however, is up for debate.

DLC 15

DLC #15 offers something great to players who are bored of the same, simple, repetitive finishing moves. How? Simple- they added New Finisher Animations.

DLC 16

The final DLC is a new game mode. This game mode is called New Game Plus. It allows players to start the game over, while keeping their gear and character build, while still getter tougher enemies and better loot.

Two years after Kiyan's rescue, the nightmares weren’t as vivid and painful as they had been in the beginning, especially with Adrien’s calming, familiar scent and warmth beside him. Calming, that is, except the nights that Adrien also suffered nightmares of his own.

Soavine was approaching, the nights were growing longer and colder, and Adrien's nightmares more frequent. The prince still didn't want to talk about them, and Kiyan didn't know how to break the standstill. He wanted to help him, but there was nothing he could do but hold him in his arms.

Here's a little surprise for Halloween! Yeah, I know we have a lot of other fics waiting to be finished, but this story has been sitting in my head for a while, blocking others. I decided to give it a chance, and although I was not happy with the result, I passed it on to @gavilansblog capable and caring hands. And her work (as always) worked wonders here.

The whole thing has two parts, and the second part will be posted as soon as Gav finishes editing. I drew the cover art myself, and the coloring went wrong. The colors are fucked up here because I tried to save the whole thing with filters and it is a bit better, but as I mentioned - the colors are all wrong. Well, I guess you can't have everything. :) On Tumblr we have a new Fanfic Ask - this time for the askers. 8. Share a snippet from one of your favourite dialogue scenes you've written and explain why you're proud of it.

It's a very, very simple exchange, but there's a moment in one of my wips that I love for everything it represents.

His phone rang, Guxart’s profile picture flashing up on the screen.

Vesemir answered.

“Fuck, Ves, are you okay? Is Lambert okay?”

Vesemir sobbed. “He’s gonna be alright, they said. It wasn’t… they’re not too worried about nerve damage. Not like they were with Eskel after his accident. It’s just… He… Gux, I don’t know what to do!”

This is the first time Vesemir has heard his childhood friend's voice in more than 20 years, and it comes at Vesemir’s lowest point. This is a moment of huge vulnerability for him, and he chooses to open up to Guxart. For the first time, he's admitting that he doesn't have any answers, and needs help.

That's why it's my favourite right now.

10. Which fic has been the easiest to write?

Lost in the Valley of the Night, without a doubt. I saw the photo prompt and the idea dropped into my head fully formed.

12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?

Ooh, that's a hard question. I'm gonna have to say that, in terms of the Witcher fandom, I'm mostly inspired by the games. More specifically, given the number of fics I write about the Cats, I have to say that I tend to be inspired by the quests "Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear" and "Where the Cat and Wolf" Play...

Chapter 16: “Trouble”  summary:

Adrien stopped right next to the witcher and looked him over carefully, as if he wanted to make sure he was okay. The witcher expected to feel angry at the sight of the prince, still remembering yesterday's incident, but instead he felt that persistent, dull ache in his chest again, as if an invisible hand was trying to crush his heart. It wasn't anger, or even irritation. It was a longing, and Kiyan looked away, trying to push the unwanted feeling deep into his subconscious so that it could perish there.

He woke up to Hilargi lipping at his hair. The mare tended to do that when she sensed something was wrong with Kiyan. The witcher sat up in his bed of hay and cursed softly under his breath as he saw the sun through the window. He had overslept, which was a clear sign  that his body was re-directing its energy to heal the newly opened wound. The pain, radiating strongly now that he was awake and aware of it, suggested that the internal damage was still severe. His liver was still regenerating, so taking a potion wasn’t an option. Liver injuries were incredibly inconvenient. Kiyan hated wasting time, and the pain slowed him down and weakened him. And that, in turn, was dangerous.

The witcher went to the well and hauled buckets of water for the horses and himself. The effort made his side shriek with agony, but Kiyan stubbornly ignored the problem.

Although Kiyan had personally overslept, it was still early to the regular inhabitants of Oxenfurt, so he was surprised to hear a commotion outside the inn as he was pulling his shirt back on after washing up in the bucket and changing his dressings. Kiyan heard Titus' indignant voice and walked out of the stables to see what was happening.

"Who the fuck brought the kid?" the outraged captain was asking the newly arrived support from Drahim Castle. It seemed that Mislav had kept his word and handed the letter to Klemens, and the prince's guards had rushed to Oxenfurt immediately.

"Nobody brought him,” the senior guard replied wearily, “he followed us against my orders." He pushed Gisbert forward in front of Titus. "Now, explain to the captain why you disobeyed an order."

"I was worried," the boy said. "The messenger who brought the letter said that almost all the guards had been killed, and that Olaf and Master Kiyan were seriously injured. I wanted to help because it's a serious situation--"

"And it’s precisely because the situation is serious that you shouldn't be here! I don't have time to babysit you!" Titus rebuked him, and Kiyan saw the annoyed grimace on the boy's face. It was the first time the witcher had seen him showing his anger so openly.

"Nobody would have to babysit me if you would finally start to take me seriously," the kid replied. "How am I supposed to learn to deal with these kinds of situations when you always keep me away from them? I’m also one of the prince's guards, and I want to finally fully deserve this title!"  

"Don't talk back to me, boy!" Titus turned red with anger and raised his open hand to hit Gisbert. Before Kiyan could think about what he was doing, his fingers folded themselves to cast a sign.
