Celine Dion has been diagnosed with a neurological disorder that ultimately leaves sufferers as human statues as it progressively locks the body into rigid positions, leaving people unable to walk or talk.

Céline Dion recently revealed to her Instagram followers that she has a rare condition called stiff person syndrome. The condition has begun to affect the 54-year-old Canadian singer's vocal cords and her walking. As a result, she has had to cancel her upcoming Courage tour, which was set to begin in Europe in February 2023 and other compromises.

Stiff-person syndrome (SPS) is a rare, progressive neurological disorder. Symptoms may include stiff muscles in the trunk (torso), arms, and legs; and greater sensitivity to noise, touch, and emotional distress, which can set off painful muscle contractions, hence the condition’s name. This can lead to falls and hence serious injuries.

Because it is so rare, it is often misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, psychosomatic illness, or anxiety and phobia.

From this information, it is doubtful that Celine Dion will perform in concerts, appearances, travel, or engage in physically demanding activities that are exhausting. It appears that the SPS is progressing fast.

@Céline Dion's tour changed plans for Europe; first because of the pandemic, but now it's her recent health battle. Sony Pictures, PCJ and SH knew some changes could happen when they announced the re-release and re-title of 'It's All Coming Back to Me' to 'Love Again'.

Sony Pictures wants Céline at its première. The romantic comedy is Dion's acting debut, and the catalyst is Céline's music. Céline is the attraction. PCJ and SH are not enough to draw attention to the film. Or it will force Sony Pictures to question whether PCJ and SH are ready to move on without Céline. It's up to Sony Pictures and @thunderroadpictures about this decision.

I just watched the documentary, I am Celine Dion on Prime. It showed all about her life since she had to quit showbiz because she got diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) is an autoimmune and neurological disorder that can make the muscles in the torso and limbs alternate between rigidity and spasms. The cause of this extremely rare disease is still unknown.

I am always saying that money doesn't bring happiness and it doesn't bring health as well. This incredible superstar who had everything, now with all her money, can not do anything to fix this. We never know when life will throw you a curveball, when it will all come crashing down. It's a crap shoot. You can do all the right things, and still, it can happen.

This documentary shows how she is dealing with this life depilation disease, and it's so sad to see her now. After so many years, seeing her so vibrant. But she is a fighter, and she is not ready to give up. She wanted us to see this in this documentary. She said she would continue to fight and try to beat this. She has had such determination throughout her life, and this is no different. She has shown us what determination looks like and that she is and always will be a fighter. When she stepped out on the stage and did such an amazing performance at this summers Olympic games in Paris, we all saw that.

So today, my friends, I am here to say you never know what will happen. You never know how life will change. You must just keep going, keep believing, and keep being determined. You have to be grateful each and every day for your health and for your life because there's always someone out there praying for what you have. Don't ever forget that it could all change in a moment, just like it did for Celine Dion.
