Last years 2D madness, featuring the Stonewashed Bredli Python morph! Also known as the Centralian Carpet Python, Bredli are more isolated in comparison to the rest of the Morelia species. They're named after Josef "Joe" Bredl, an Australian crocodile conservationist 🐊 The more you know!

I have one and it’s been the best snake I’ve ever owned. Takes down food like a garbage disposal, calm demeanor, and can handle temperature/humidity fluctuations without a problem.

The Centralian Carpet Python or Bredl’s Python (Morelia bredli) is a constrictor endemic to Northern Territory, Australia. At one time considered a regional variant or subspecies of the more common Carpet Python (Morelia spilota), this animal was first recognized as its own species in 1981. It has a relatively small range, found only in the heart of the country in rocky outcrops and scrub bush.

Deidre post shed glam shots!! Look at that colour! The red brown really shows the best right after a shed. And look at his gorgeous golden eyes! He’s such a nice docile animal too.

A trip to the zoo would not be complete without a million pictures of Noodles!!!! Taronga Zoo have a very impressive display of snakes, they have a few exotic snakes that I had never seen in person before so to see some of these snakes for the first time in the flesh was very exciting. (I was particularly excited to see the Eyelash Viper, I adore Viper’s but had never seen one before as we sadly don’t have them in this country SLIDE ONE - Eyelash Viper - Snakelet SLIDE TWO - Coastal Taipan SLIDE THREE - Green Anaconda SLIDE FOUR - Green Tree Python SLIDE FIVE - Olive Python SLIDE SIX - Centralian Carpet Python SLIDE SEVEN - Monocled Cobras (they were mating) SLIDE EIGHT - Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake PS - there were far more snakes than this but I couldn’t fit them all in

Hey does anybody know how fast bredlis are supposed to grow? My boy is about a year and a half old, three feet long, and he eats and sheds well, but in pictures it seems like other snakes his age or younger are wider. He's calm, but not sluggish, and active, so I don't really want to be worried but should I be feeding him more? I pick mice that are appropriately sized, but is it possible I'm doing something wrong?

After taking pics of Hircine last week, I put him back in his cup while I took Namira’s pictures. Afterwards, I was about to put them in their enclosures, and Hircine had started to shed. 

He could have done that *before* photos but that’s alright, it was cool to watch him finish!
