Aiden had thought with her move that she wasn't going to like it. that was until she saw her cute neighbor. She had been so nervous to approach him but she always tried to wave at him. She would occasionally look over at him to admire him and she could have sworn he was doing the same. He made her stomach flutter and she wished she could go talk to him. One afternoon after work, she was welcomed to a heavy thunderstorm. She had rushed to try to get inside, her clothes beginning to soak. Though when she got to the door, she realized that she didn't have her keys. She mentally cursed at herself before trying to figure out what to do next. She looked at her neighbor's house and decided to take a chance. She knocked on the door, trying to shield herself from the rain.

Aiden: You have a husband?

Mercy: I do, the whole time you’ve known me.

Aiden: Oh. I always thought you were feral.

Mercy: Er, do you mean “single”?

Nilrex guild survival guidelines - part 1

Just a bit of a goofy little thing I've been working on that I thought I'd share. Some of the tips and tricks the guild came up with over the years before the annihilation.

If Aiden says it's a "good" idea....run.

Do not steal Reveka's ice cream. She will pull serial killer from a horror movie tactics in revenge.

If Alouette, Zykelle, and Danny have any sort of Disney marathon before a Dungeon raid, be prepared for quotes, singing, and so on at highly inappropriate times. Zykelle is the primary instigator but the other two will do so as well. Expect no regrets or remorse.

Rowe goes missing a lot. If needed, tell Divondra and wait If Divondra is unavailable, just wait. Do NOT attempt to locate Rowe yourself. Especially do not attempt to search Rowe's room or the air vents.

Aiden's brother, Kaz, is not allowed anywhere near the kitchen. Ever.

What goes on paper plate awards is not to be explained to any source of media. Ever.

Stage a coup Fridays are for Fridays. Not Mondays. Especially not as protests over the weekend being done.

Serious attempts at staging a coup are not encouraged, at any time. Crazy, outrageous ones are king and have a specific day of the week reserved for them.

Danny can make a weapon of pretty much anything. No, you do not need to ask for demonstrations. And no, poking Danny with a chop stick between the ribs is NOT an advisable way to get a demonstration. Or with anything else, any where else. Looking at you Aiden.

It's best to keep ALL sharp objects away from Tallulah when requesting healing. Blunt objects too. Any objects really. Better yet, do not request healing from Tallulah.

Do not ask about Zykelle's "tramp stamp". He will proudly show you.

Don't make Addy cry.

If Alouette is baking, prepare for war. Victor gets the goods. Or hit with a wooden spoon. Depends if she plans to share. (She usually does.)

Any consequences of one's powers are the responsibility of that particular individual. So yes, Aiden, you do have to baby sit when you use yours.

Cornered or surprised Rowe can be a bit...stab happy. Always let Divondra handle.

Yes, some of Addy's "friends" can be terrifying. No, you cannot tell that to her. Or at least, no you should not if you do not want Addy trying to convince you of their good qualities by employing whichever of her friends you fear to follow you around while Addy lists off positive traits of theirs.

Give Tallulah knitting supplies at your own peril.

If Danny is missing, immediately tell Alouette or Zykelle. Space may be all Danny needs but letting Danny stew ends poorly for everyone.

Unless brought up by a member of the guild, it's best advised not to bring up their family situation. The ones who have good family relations will let you know.

While it may be adorable to see, it's not advised to let Addy play with Divondra's drag gear. Not that Divondra has any real problems with it but Addy has actually gotten injured playing dress up with that stuff. Addy is no size thirteen after all.

aiden still wanted tabby to stay with him, she hadn’t gotten any better since loosing callie and aiden was still afraid to leave her alone in her old apartment that was full of old memories. autumn was making dinner and aiden was sitting on the couch with tabby when there was a knock at the door. aiden groaned as he got up and was shocked to see an old friend of his when he opened the door. “jamie? holy shit.” he pulled jamie in for a hug and she hugged him back quickly. he invited her inside and closed the door behind him and autumn approached them. “autumn, this is jamie. we were deployed together years ago. jamie this is my wife, autumn.” jamie smiled at autumn and turned back to aiden. “wow how did you land such a gorgeous woman?” jamie pulled autumn in for a hug and aiden looked over at tabby who hadn’t even moved or taken her eyes off the tv. “and uh, this is tabby, my little sister.”

She had been watching the woman closely, for a couple of days now after the initial meeting when Aiden had been quite the hero. At least that was how Selene saw it - not that she would ever admit to that. She hadn't approached her yet, only nodded her approval when those idiots had come into this place and thought to overtake it for themselves. But she figured that now was the best time to approach her. She could use someone like her around, on her side, and maybe even on her team. Although Selene was pretty sure that she wouldn't take too kindly to any kind of recruitment into the sort of work that she did.

"Is this your kind of drink?" Selene questioned as she leaned on the counter top and set down a cup of coffee for Aiden. She reached up to take off her sunglasses and gave the other woman a smile. "I figured that it's been a long couple of days with imbeciles coming in here to torment you." She rolled her eyes at that. "Tell me…didn't they scare you at all?" She had always assumed that people would be scared if the nasty types came in with intrusive and intimidating demands but not so this woman. Selene was pretty impressed. - @halliwellauto

breath hitches in the back of her throat, the calloused fingertips and cold metal of his rings dig into her delicate skin.     ❝ mmm, rockstar ❞     taunting tone, almost as if she is daring @literare to squeeze harder. stilettos nearly eliminating the slight difference in height between them. pupils dilating as she meets his gaze, thrill coursing through her body. a slight shift of her hips, desperate for some friction to ease the ache between her thighs.

been raining heavy all day & it reminds him of home. always raining in london and the weather is pretty much this, all the time. only, it's a little warmer here. at least right now, not quite fall yet. so instead of grabbing bag from the back of car and rush inside : he walks around the car and there's a small smile tugging at the corner of lips when coming face to face with her. maybe she will complain about it. that her hair or clothes are getting ruined or that she'll get sick out here, soaked through within minutes in this weather. but he really really really can't bring himself to care right now. want to enjoy there moments with her. because they have them. they fought for it, it hadn't been easy & now they can just enjoy it. arm wrap around her waist and pull her close : already feeling the rain dripping down features as nose brush against hers, gaze finding hers. leaning in and lips find hers, warm against hers, despite the rain and temperature, pulling her in closer as kiss deepens.

Akemi’s nose scrunched up, the place reeked with its poor sanitary conditions. Even so, it wasn’t horrible, there are situations worse than this comparatively. She wouldn't complain.

In an alley so dark and abandoned, what stood out was a room dimly lit in the alley. Usually, she would go past such things, minding her business however the grunts that followed with few murmurs made it hard to ignore.

Peeking her head first, her violet orbs land on a wounded man talking to himself. Now that her curiosity was satisfied, she would have left until she heard the words “Can you help me please?”

Stepping into the room with eyes locked on the image reflected off the man from the mirror, “Sure,” she agreed since he asked so kindly. Apathy laced the words yet there was no attempt to hide it. 

There wasn’t a particular reason why she was so considerate towards the stranger, she was here on a mission after all.  Perhaps it was the desperation that followed the man’s words.

“I’d recommend you sit down,” she glances at the area and spots a wooden carton, “There,” she points, “It will make things easier.”

No Grave Can Hold My Body Down Chapter 2

"We need some extra coin for a cart and winter supplies, so I figure we can get one last decent hunt in before the season ends. That is, as long as you're feeling up to it," he says, perusing the board, and Aiden grins at his companion. It would be one thing if Eskel just tolerated him, but for him to trust Aiden enough to have his back on a hunt? Maybe he just wants to get Aiden's measure, but it's still a step in the right direction.

"I'm fighting fit," he answers, fibbing only a little as his hand drifts to his stomach where beneath his armor four long, pink, tender scars lay. Their slow meander towards Kaer Morhen has given him ample time to heal his concussion and nearly enough to heal his gut.

The mental toll from his dance with death is another story, but no one ever said you needed to be sane to fight monsters.

@xradiant Aiden wished she had some magical way to hide herself from her ex boyfriend. She had thought they were good together until he cheated on her with his best friend. After that, she did her best to hide from him. Despite him dating his best friend now, it didn't stop him from bothering her whenever he saw her. No matter what she said or did, he didn't stop. She was hoping to have a good day off at the local bookstore. It was going well at first until she caught a glimpse of him walking through the door. Then she started to panic, ducking between shelves to avoid him.

while she was dodging him, she ran into someone. She looked over to the stranger, her eyes pleading with his. "Can you please pretend you're with me?" she managed to say before her ex approached them. he greeted her, asking her what she was doing there. Before she could even stopped herself, she said, "Oh, I'm just hanging with my boyfriend. We thought we'd check out some books. Right, honey?" she looked up at him, trying to hide her nerves.

ren always decided he'd been gone too long.

the week within the walls of a house filled with strangers did nothing to settle his nerves and yet, ren couldn't argue with the company that so far had kept their word with keeping them safe. but the safety came with the price of earning their keep and, while ren reached a point of wellness that he could trail behind caleb in silence, aiden had the bigger task of keeping up with max.

a task, ren noticed, he'd started to enjoy a little too much.

the promise of scaling into the unknown with a woman terrifyingly skilled at such didn't sit well with ren. not from the moment she'd saved them from an inevitable end, nor when aiden first returned from an outing with her. he'd been excited, rambling on about this and that to the point ren had tuned him out and rolled over in bed. jealousy sat deep inside his stomach, festering with each passing day.

and so it's no surprise that it came to a boiling point once aiden returned again that evening, another successful day with max breaking into the back of a pharmacy, picking up some sachets of sterilised water and other bits most people looked over. ren's morning consisted of irritable grunts from caleb and managing to forage while the man caught a rabbit that might feed half of them at most.

ren sits on the bed, staring off into space as aiden's tale continued on before the boy finally exhaled and muttered, "good for you."

          They were supposed to be doing research for the latest threat that seemed to sweep into New Orleans on the regular ever since the Mikaelsons returned to the city. But with Josh’s lips on his neck and hand slipping past his waistband, the last thing on Aiden’s mind was doing homework. The vampire pressed him against bookshelves and he let out a ragged breath as his boyfriend continued kissing him. 

It had taken a lot of effort and trust for them to even reach this point. Even knowing Josh would never intentionally hurt him, he remembered the first time things had started to get a little hot and heavy, and Josh had trailed kisses down his throat, just as he was doing now, only Aiden had immediately reacted by shoving him away. An instinct he’d honed his entire life against vampires.

But now, the danger of it didn’t even really register because this wasn’t some nameless stranger. This was Josh, the love of his life, and for that reason alone, Aiden wasn’t surprised at the words that fell from his lips. 

“Bite me.”
