One of my earlier works!

An opalite keychain a friend gave me a few years back finally broke, so I repurposed the stone into a keychain inspired by the White Lady from Hollow Knight!!

It’s still one of my favorites!

🕯️ Remaking this post because there has been some changes in my life stuff and. Well, I'm doing what I can to try and find any kind of income.

I'm trying to find a way to provide for myself a little better. Get myself food and medications, start saving up for a place to move into (with or without roommates) or a vehicle/camper to live in. I'm not really looking for donations or stuff like that; I'd like to earn funds. I'm already looking for work I'm capable of doing, but that is much easier said than done. I've got multiple chronic illnesses to consider and the limitations that come with that, so applying to places is slow going. In the meantime having another method of income would be nice too.

If I can start getting a bit more stability in my life, I'll be able to be here more often and get to things more quickly. Something I'd really like to do but is a little hard when I'm living on not so much (Less than $100 after rent and bills are payed). I miss you guys and I miss being able to talk and interact with you all here instead of just using queue.

I'm gonna put some pics and examples of chain stuff under the cut if you wanna take a look. My commission posts have examples of the graphics I can make. So, if you end up wanting to look into getting quality RP assets or trinkets based on your favourite media. It'd mean a lot if you could at least give the links a little peek.

Purple wins?

So- as it is now it looks like purple is the color we will be going for as the reader’s signature color!  I’m waiting till friday next week  (27th) to say it’s decided, but in the mean time I decided I wanted to draft up some ideas for the outfits just for the fun of it- so I wanted to share! 

Below the lower bit is some info on how i went about this if you’re interested- but im looking to make 3 or 4 formal outfits, and 3 or 4 more casual outfits. the ones above are in the more formal catagory. The one on the far right um... pushes things a bit (lol) but without the gold chainwork its a bit less.... kinky. curious houw yall feel! 

So, there are a million lovely gowns out there that can be found on Pinterest etc, but I wanted something bespoke for us! Something that would fit naturally in with the MCU vision of Asgard (as much as I can manage lol). So I started off by going through the films, and whatever concept art i could get my hands on so i could collect some ideas on how Asgardian’s dress

And yes, I did sit in front of my screen and take manual pictures of outfits in the movies-because you cant screenshot disney+, your shot just turns out black...

From what I found, it all seems like a mesh of Grecoroman/Asian/Bondage inspired clothing, with a little bit of celtic and norse influence here and there. It was also helpful that ragnarock had some concept art for loki that included a purple color scheme, so I could pull from that a bit. 

Then i ran through and grabbed some ref of concept art i liked and felt fit the world, or that had little elements i wanted to incorperate into the outfits.

Note that the entire upper lefthand corner is just things from Nanihoo- i highly reccommend looking at her Loki/Sygin stuff, its amazing. 

Once i had some solid refs, i grabbed some purple color palates and started in on making these!

On top of everything above, i also wanted to incorperate bits of Loki’s garments into them. He pretty consistantly has the woven leather motif, and gold accents- particularly ones in a sort of “v” shape. So im trying to keep those in as much as possible. 

Again, curious to hear yalls thoughts!!!

Sasani, dressed in a beautiful royal purple silk dress, lay beside her father with her head in his lap, the tracks of tears dried upon her peacefully sleeping face. He pet his daughter's hair gently and then looked at the bedroll across from them where his other daughter sat with her legs bent beneath her, quietly watching them without any expression and dressed in a sky blue robe that was easy to get around the strange manacles that still bound her wrists. He heaved a sigh as he met the doll-like aquamarine gaze of his first born. "You understand what this means? You are to stay in Ul'dah until some progress can be made on the bindings."

"I understand that I will stay," the girl's voice came out in a flat monotone, as though she were reading it off some internal card. She paused for a moment as she processed her thoughts and continued, "I will stay until the bindings can be separated. It is not good to limit the usage of my hands."

"They need to remove them completely, Sasari," Sasanecco intoned gently to his daughter. He did not like the way there was nothing in her voice any longer, this once cheerful and energetic child. He gazed at the girl he hardly recognized sitting unflinchingly across from him. At least she spoke now, it had taken moons to get even that much from her while she adjusted to the limitations on her aether.

"No," She responded without any sort of explanation.

"This was not the right way, Sari. We can find another way to circumvent Thal's Price. Sani does not want her life at the cost of yours!" There was a touch of pleading to the man's voice.

Sasari took a long moment to think on the words that would be the effective, "Sasani, had no voice. It… was important. I chose."

Slide into the rings on your base.

"Cor, yer right! Hey girl! Girl! Can she not hear me?"

"She hears just fine, but she won't talk to ya."

Close the rings with both pliers.

"I bet I kin get 'er ta talk."

Make sure the links are laying in the right direction.

"I wouldn't. Master Susumehi had the last 'prentice that bothered her mucking out the kilns and helpin' in the stables for a sennight."

Carefully open the rings.

"Wot? Jus' for botherin' 'er?"

Add the four new rings to the pattern.

"Yeah, I know she's odd but it's best ta just let her be."

Close the rings.

"Sure sure, she can finish tha chainwork just like the mammet. It's boring anyroad."

Smooth out the chain work.

"C'mon, let's go get a late lunch."

Sasari slowly lowered her pliers and the delicate electrum chain that dangled from her grip, letting the chain rest in her lap. She was working on simple tasks and perfecting what skills she could while her wrists remained locked together by a small metal tether between the cuffs of the shackles. She looked after the two apprentices who had been watching her work and talking as though she could not hear them.

Why is doing something considered odd? Am I not doing good enough work?

She then turned her gaze to the mammet she worked along side. She imagined it often worked near her because she rarely spoke and was therefore not what it called a "nuIsaNCe."

We are clearly different. I do not understand.

"There we are! Separated!" The older Lalafellin man said in his usual jovial tone. He carefully spread the young girl's wrists away from one another inside of the magic circle the thaumaturges had drawn for them on the floor of the plain room. There was a cheer from the others in the room, two guests from the thaumaturges' guild and one from the alchemists'.

Sasari gingerly tested the brokenness of the restraints, moving her arms further than they had been the better part of a turn. She felt something else beside her physical freedom, but couldn't really place it. Remembering what she was told was important, "Thank you… Master Susumehi."

"Mind lass, that the barrier they create is still in place. It will take time to work out how to counteract that, the connecting chain was just a weak point," Susumehi cautioned. He had a grandfatherly demeanor towards the daughter of his friend and he was troubled by the withdrawn way she interacted with others. Children should be allowed to be children for as much time as we can afford them.

"This…" Sasari had begun pausing while she talked to weigh out what she would say carefully at each step, "is an improvement. I can… now do more things. It would be good for learning more… while I am to stay here. This work should be… repaid."

Susumehi leveled his gaze at the lass, he had hoped there would be some change in the enchantment though he knew it would survive separating the cuffs. "If you wish, Sasari. Why don't you rest for tonight, my girl. The preparations were tiring and we can start on some basics for using the hammer and torches tomorrow since you have been studying metals already."

"Yes, Master Susumehi." She clasps her hands to her lap and bows to him and then each of their guests in turn. She would have curtseyed once upon a time, but the moons with her wrists linked together forced her to adapt the custom which she knew people expected of her.

When all had fled her room, she got a cleaner out from the cabinet in the corner and scrubbed the floor until the traces of the circle were but a memory of the previous sun. She had gathered the links of the chain that had scattered around the circle in a small wooden bowl and placed it on her night stand. She stood and observed her work, running her fingers down her arms where they were sore from scrubbing to make sure there was not too much pain tomorrow as that would make it hard to work. She looked at the new night clothes they had gotten her, probably to celebrate she could wear relatively normal clothing again. Papa must have told Master Susumehi blue was her favorite as the night clothes were a pale blue and she could see various shades of the color peeking from the small open wardrobe. Now blue is just a color. Isn't it?

Sasari paused as she held the cool cloth in her hands. She blinked as she looked at the garment and then went ahead and got changed. She slid into bed and laid there quietly, still as a stone until sleep overcame her.

For the first time in the moons since her awakening, she dreamed. In the dream, she could remember what it was like to know how to smile. In her dream, Sani was there.

Modern AU Tattoo Headcanons

Dutch has a lion wearing a crown on his chest. It’s cliche and a little bit silly, but he is very proud of it and thinks it represents him perfectly. He also wanted the whole gang to get matching tattoos of a stylized “VdL,” but he was the only one who actually went through with it. 

Hosea has a super old-fashioned, Sailor Jerry style mermaid, with the face and hair designed to resemble Bessie. He got it a long time ago and still cherishes it. 

Arthur has a portrait of copper on one bicep. That dog meant a lot to him and he was devastated when he died. He has a stag on the opposite forearm that was done from one of his own drawings. He definitely believes in quality over quantity and is happy with two really good ones. 

John’s has full sleeves, and there is definitely at least one super-detailed wolf portrait on there. He’s not a stickler for style, though, and his are noticeably sloppier than Arthur’s. Epilogue-era John probably gets a wolf cub added for Jack. 

Charles has a deer, but instead of a stag like Arthur’s its a doe. He also has a forest treeline, and is looking to get more nature-themed tattoos. His fight promoter tried to convince him to get more aggressive-looking ones, but Charles is very picky about what goes on his body. 

Javier has a knife with an elaborate handle. The level of detail in it is insane, and he’s very proud to show it off to anyone who will look. It’s an exact replica of the first knife his father gave him. He wants some kind of music-related image, but hasn’t decided on one yet. 

Sadie gets something that was meaningful between her and Jake, and refuses to explain to anyone else what it means or why she picked that image. It’s their special thing and she doesn’t want to share it with everybody.

Lenny has a pocket watch on his forearm so he can feel like his father is always with him. He’s not really into tattoos, but after the watch itself got lost he wanted something permanent. 

Micah has lots of gun and bullet themed tattoos. He thinks it makes him look tough. He’s not really creative, so he just gets whatever he thinks is going to look badass from the pre-drawn flash.

Karen would be into the bold lines and bright colors of traditional tattoos, and I could definitely see her with a tattoo of a gun on her thigh where her holster sits. She might also go for the pinup-style sleeves connected across her chest. 

Mary-Beth would have been a bit hesitant about getting inked, then gotten a delicate flower in pastel colors on her wrist or ankle. It’s soft and feminine, and she likes that it looks romantic. If she got another it would probably be either a favorite book quote or the cover art from a classic. 

Tilly also likes more feminine designs, but goes bigger and bolder than Mary-Beth. She likes bright colors that complement her wardrobe. She would get hers on her back and upper arms, because she likes to choose whether to show them off or not. 

Abigail definitely has an old-fashioned rose with Jack’s name, birthday, or both on her arm or shoulder, somewhere she can see it. I could also see her having gotten a lower back tattoo when she was younger, but being really embarrassed of it now. John is the only gang member who has seen it.  

Grimshaw has an elaborate, old-fashioned birdcage on her forearm. She likes the Victorian style, and even though she got it when she was young, it’s an elegant design and she’s still very happy with it. 

Bill has a tattoo from when he was in the army, but it was done by one of the guys in his unit so it isn’t super well-done. It’s on his upper arm in the “classic” spot for military tattoos, and Bill tends to be judgy of people who have their ink in other spots. 

Sean was super close with his dad, so he has a giant celtic cross tribute tattoo on his back. He also has shamrocks scattered over his body. He is the most likely to get a tattoo on his face. 

Kieran has the most detailed horse portrait that’s ever been done, and he loves it. It’s on his chest where there was lots of room for the design, and just looking at it makes him feel calm and happy.

Trelawny has a rabbit coming out of a top hat on the back of his shoulder blades. He tells the gang that it looks a little off because the artist was drunk, but really it was drawn by his kids and he wanted the ink to exactly match the drawing. 

Strauss did not want a tattoo at all. Sean and Karen got him drunk one night and got a gold dollar sign with diamonds around it tattooed on his ass. He never brings it up and sometimes they wonder if he even knows it’s there. 

Swanson has a bible quote on his chest that is surprisingly beautiful. He got it before his addictions took over, and after he cleans up he feels connected to it again. 

Pearson has old-fashioned navy tattoos. Anchors, compass, maybe a whale. He loves to show them off and makes up stories about why he got them, but really he just loves the nautical aesthetic. 

Molly loves the “permanent jewelry” trend, and has intricate, fancy chainwork on her wrist as a bracelet. I could also see her getting a garter tattoo on her thigh because Dutch thought it was a good idea. 

Uncle says he has a tattoo, but won’t say where or what it is. Everyone is too afraid to ask.

Myths of the Deity

-The Elemental Deities are noted for their unique traits as they are greater elementals whose mantles are powerful enough to stabilize and let them attain a sort of pseudo godhood.  This makes them closer towards, say Arch-Angels, Arch-Fay and Demon Lords.

-These are the 12 most prominent of said lords though it's hard to say if there are any others beyond them and as likely it is also equally unlikely which drives many researchers to search the Elemental Planes for knowledge of this.

-Under each Elemental Lord are great elemental princes powerful elementals of great capability under a particular lords dominion.  Each lord has half a dozen at least with the beings varying from being the children of the lord to being the empowered servants.  Elemental Princes often act as heralds and great agents for their particular lord.

-Earth Priests celebrate the success in finding new materials and the crafting of new earthenware be it swords, jewelry, pots or more.  Earth holidays thus are one days that riches or caravans or on an annual date when a particular mine vein was found.

-Fire Priests celebrate the rise of the great flaming orb of the sun each dawn. As such their greatest celebration is on the solstice, the longest day of the year and also upon the shortest great bonfires are raised.  Fire Priests celebrate the construction of baths, bakeries, and smithies.

-Water Priests celebrate the first major snow of winter in areas with it or the coming of a monsoon season or the first spring showers in wonder.  Water Priests celebrate the construction of great waterways, aqueducts and baths.

-Air Priests celebrate changes in the weather so the most holy days for them are Autumn and they hold great celebrations over the course of Autumn to commemorate. Air priests celebrate the construction of ships, and large towers that strike high into the sky.

-All elemental priests hold eclipses as dark days of ill content and fear.

-Elemental Clerics have the Rite of Limb :  This involves immersing one’s arm in the element.  Earth Priests immerse their arm into a box full of coarse sand.  Water Priests immerse their limb in freezing cold water. Air Priests immerse their arm into a container filled with poisonous miasma. Fire Priests immerse their limb into a blazing bonfire.  When one draws the limb free should it be scared and or otherwise damaged but not destroyed that is blessed and if the limb suffers no damage that person is considered incredibly blessed.  Such blessed limbs are often magically tattooed to enhance and provide those who have undergone the ritual to empower themself.  Those who fail such a test are punished with their other arm being immersed if this limb also suffers the same fate then the cleric is healed but demoted for their failure.

-Elemental Clerics of two elements will undergo the Rite of Limb twice once for each element they hold to.

-The Rite of Gate : Clerics of an Elemental will create a small portal to one of the cities within the elemental plane they are aligned and enter into it they will live among those within the city for a full year and return to the portal to return to their fellows at the temple if they do so they have passed the test.  Clerics that do not return could be those that died, were enslaved or simply decided to stay instead of going back to their fellow clerics.

-Elemental Priests have very exclusive marriage rites based around the elements.  Fire Priests wear light near see through fabrics of red/orange.  Water Priests strip to nothing except minimalist greens and blues that are often accentuating rather than scandalous.  Earth Priests have their wedding clothing incorporate small plates or gemstones and often include thin chainwork.  Air Priests wear nothing or thin gossamer white or light green dresses.  A poly relationship and marriage between 1 Priest of every Element well rare is perfectly accepted by most Neutral Aligned Elemental Lords

-‘May the spirit of the element guide you’.  With Water Priests means to go with the flow.  With Earth Priests it means to stay resolute on a choice.  With Fire it means adapt rapidly but not to reverse course.  With Air it means go slow to build momentum.

10 Days of Favourites - Outfits

6 days to season 7!

Today’s countdown topic: My six favourite outfits! They all ended up being ladies. I guess the guys wear clothes too, right? I don’t know. I’m too focused on the girls and what they’re wearing.

6. Luna’s Conclave Ensemble (4x10)

I’m not sure how pleather survived an apocalypse so pristine, a hundred years later even, but I’m sure glad it did. This is one of those Significant Costume Changes, where just two episodes earlier she was wearing the soft blues and greens of Floukru. Her outfit tells you all you need to know - this isn’t Peaceful Luna anymore, this is I’ve Got An Axe To Grind Luna.   5. Echo’s Azgeda Chic (4x01)

It’s great how suedes and other generally “soft” fur fabrics have ended up being the battle garb for Azgeda’s badass bitch in charge. Can’t see them here, but I’m pretty sure her pants are also repurposed jeans that are decked out in more suede accessory pieces. I’m here for it. 4. Clarke’s Grounder Gear (late season 3)

What can I say, I love long black leather coats. This one also has some fun chainwork going on, making your eyes go straight to her boobs. Was that intentional? It’s hard not to notice that Clarke has bigger boobs than the rest of the characters with the outfits they put her in most of the time. 3. Niylah’s Wonkru Look (seasons 5-6)

Another one of those Significant Costume Changes. Before Praimfaya, Niylah’s all into earth tones and soft fabrics, but now she’s geared up like the rest of Wonkru, in dark colours and what has to be human leather at this point. Waste not, want not, and Healer-Warrior-Trader Niylah has you covered. Six years in the bunker have hardened her too, she’s no longer soft, she’s a badass bitch like the rest of them. 2. Octavia’s Blodreina Garb (season 5)

Remember what I said above about human leather? I mean, it’s got to be. There’s only so much that they brought into the bunker, and I don’t recall ever seeing grounders with this many red leather accent pieces. They had to be custom made for Blodreina, and the look works. I especially love the red cape and hood addition in scenes like this one. 1. Octavia’s Post-Conclave Outfit (4x12-4x13)

Octavia’s outfits have screamed “badass bitch” since season 2. But now she levels up: This isn’t just badass bitch anymore, this is Boss Bitch, and you will listen to what she has to say. She’s not playing games. She’s bending the world to her image. I love this coat, and I’m glad to know it still endures, albeit stripped down quite significantly, but you see those shoulder tassels there? They’re the same ones on Octavia’s coat in seasons 5 and 6. Helios and the Rover might be gone, but Octavia’s Boss Bitch Coat survives.
