Hi, I’m sorry to bother you, but I’ve been searching through the tags and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Are there any fics where Hermione is an accomplished Occlumens or Legilimens?
Try these:
Interlude: Eighth Year by alexandra.emerson - M, 29 Chapters - Hermione is back at Hogwarts for 8th year. She’s feeling lost and finds comfort with an unlikely person, Malfoy. He’s returned to school for mysterious reasons and his plot involves Hermione, which is why he requested her as his Arithmancy partner. Malfoy is determined to get what he needs before she discovers his plot, or before he loses his nerve (again). Dark Dramione slow burn.
A Lesson in Occlumency By: makesmewonderx3 - T, one-shot - Dumbledore asks Draco to teach Hermione Occlumency. What secrets will he learn about her? And what truths will Hermione uncover from Draco? D/HR.
Obstrigillate By: tyrantsandcreampuffs - T, one-shot - In which Draco teaches Hermione Occlumency, and they both find themselves simply giving in to more than what their minds can handle. / Oneshot for dhr!challenge01. #01
I don’t mind if you don’t mind (can you read my mind?) - SultryNuns - E, one-shot - She’s miscalculated, staring at him openly, so she captures the abrupt way in which his head snaps up from his work. As a consequence, they’re now looking at each other, which is awkward, but at least he doesn’t know what she’s been thinking about. And then, Draco, usually still as a graveyard if never as quiet as one, twirls his wand again. And again. Watching her all the while, considering her. Hermione has a good sense for when she’s in danger, or an overwrought system that feels as though she always is, but either way, she slams a barrier around her mind, exerts her own graceless occlumency. He knows. And worse, he’s been driving her insane intentionally.
Through his eyes by HCB123 - G, one-shot - Hermione wants to learn legillimency - of course she does. Draco teaches her but accidentally lets her see something he didnt mean for her to.
Seek and Find by SilverDragonGemini - M, one-shot - As part of his post-war sentencing, Draco is ordered by The Ministry to undergo Legilimency sessions to help them find any dark artifacts that may have been hidden at Hogwarts during the war. However, Draco is only willing to participate if Hermione is the one to perform the search on his mind and memories. Or: A legilimency journey through Draco's greatest hits and some of his most hidden secrets.
Legilimens - Ahimadala - E, 27 chapters, Words: 106,871 - Hermione Granger did everything she could to restore her parents’ memories after the war ended. However, in an attempt to fight her own spell something went wrong. The heroine of the Wizarding World will find herself with a very rare and uncontrollable gift, which will force her to discover shocking and embarrassing truths.

Challenge 01
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Calum mumbled to himself as he tore his room apart looking for his pick. He quite literally couldn’t live without it, it was his lucky pick and he was superstitious when it came to things like that. Determined to find it, he made his way in Camila’s room. Once inside he would glance around, surveying the place and letting his mind mull over the place that she might have put it. He picked up the lid off of her jewelry box to peer inside but nothing. Then he opened a couple of the drawers and when everything was neatly put in place he would close them again. Bending down he would take a look under the bed just for good measure, and before getting up, he would life the mattress to peer underneath. Nothing. That was when it hit him.
Walking into the bathroom he would pull open the cabinet under the sink, cringing as he looked inside. Reluctantly he grabbed the box of tampons and emptied it, the pick falling out along with the sanitary items. “Ha! Should have known.” Picking it up he would put it in his pocket, where he was determined to keep it at all times.

Challenge 01 A bit of a fun one here. Nothing like the pressing weight of death to bring up the mid week. It’s not Gichuki’s first language, but she more than makes herself understood; her writing is compelling. Death is macabre and gruesome, but Gichuki’s message is one of hope, love and learning. At least, that’s my spin on it. Time to draw.
Sizes to draw to are 150mm x 250mm landscape or 200mm square @300dpi. Goodluck!

I've finished the December Lookbook Challenge and it's so much fun for me :) So, now I want to make one! But instead of 30/31 days long, I want to make a mini one, this is the 10 Days with Me Lookbook Challenge :) Because it's only 10 days long, I want to add additional rules.

Every day there is 1 color that you must corporate into the outfit. For example: Day 01 theme is Picnic with Family and the color is pink, you can make the hair pink, the shoes pink, the top or bottom pink, or maybe full-body outfit pink! it's up to you but you must corporate the color requested into the outfit and you can also add another color.
That's for the rules, other than that you can do whatever you want 😊
10 Days with Me Lookbook Challenge
01 - Picnic with Family | Pink
02 - Bookstore with Friends | Navy Blue
03 - Pajamas Party | Yellow
04 - Garden Party | Maroon
05 - Date at Theme Park | Orange
06 - Lazy Sunday | Green
07 - Music Festival | Purple
08 - Painting Class | Beige
09 - Movie Night | Grey

So, that's it! I don't know if that's fun or not but if you tried it please tag/mention me or use hashtag #10 days with me because I would like to see it, so I can give them heart or reblog it~
Thank you :)
----
Note: This is my first time doing something like this, and I don't know if I'm doing it right or not, so if you have some advice for me, I would like to hear it 😊 once again, thank you :)

A NEW CHALLENGER APPEARS!
We the Elite 4 are extremely proud of all the Pokénauts currently undertaking the life's work that is the great Pokémonathon. Every entry fills us with happiness and awe.
However, like any good Elite 4, we live for more! Work hard! Train diligently! Do your best! Win! As Pokénauts, are you hankering for MORE CHALLENGE?
If you are - WE ARE GOING TO GIVE IT!
We are hereby announcing the Pokémonathon Challenges - periodic criteria for incoming Pokémon submissions, which will be completable regardless of a Pokénaut's current progress, and will be totally optional for Pokénauts who don't want to participate!
Oxboxer's excellent drawing is an example of an entry for our first Challenge:
~~~~ POKéMON TATTOOS ~~~~
(Tattoos of Pokémon, Pokémon with tattoos, Pokémon with tattoos of Pokémon....)
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Complete your Pokémon drawing but using the current criteria!
Submit it to the blog as usual, but add the relevant challenge tag: for example, #challenge01
Do it before March 15th
FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF
OTHER RELEVANT WORDS:
Challenges will probably last for 2 weeks, but may be longer or shorter depending on difficulty!
'Winners' may be chosen a variety of ways, whatever we decide
Main winner will probably get to decide the next challenge
Challenges should accommodate a Pokénaut's current progress
Challenges shouldn't break the usual rules of the Pokémonathon, i.e. no spitting in front of ladies
We had a bit of a brainstorm and have come up with some example Challenges, just for funzies- we're not doing these right now, but they should give you some idea for the kind of thing that would be an interesting challenge! If people want to suggest some we could create some kind of ongoing 'possible challenges' post that people could refer to when it's time to choose, or something???
Include a gijinka
Draw a background
Use a certain medium
Emulate a certain style
Try making an animation
Use a color triad
A restricted color scheme
Copy a classical painting
Draw a short comic an attack
A character turnaround for animation
An isometric perspective challenge
A "draw it doing what it says on the Pokedex entry" challenge (some of those are surprisingly unsettling)
An anatomical diagram (doesn't need to be realistic)
Make the image look like an Instagram
Fashion shoot
OK that's it from us, GET CHALLENGE-DOING!!! Due before March 15th!
~ one bright moment, is all I ask ~ {para//Jaime}
There was something about libraries that calmed Bette, something incredibly comforting about the smell of parchment and ink, that made the blonde feel at home.
She sat at the back of the northwest wing, sitting at one of the wide, old oak tables, scrolling through pages of old text books. The Hufflepuff wasn't sure how much time she'd spent in the room, but it'd been at least an hour, probably. Bette never really kept track when she was in the library.
After going through an entire book on the history of potions gone wrong, simply for entertainment, she'd casually picked up 'Mythical Creatures of the Magical World". Apparently, in a society where ghosts, banshees, vampires, and werewolves were aplenty, there were 'urban legends' that could make even witches and wizards afraid. Skimming the pages, Bette straightened up, reading the text slower. One chapter was very curious to the blonde, specifically, an entry about the "Mustasurma", a creature in the night that fed off human life-force...
Closing the book shut, Bette crossed her arms and mumbled, 'stupid book...', rolling her eyes a little. That thing never been spotted before, and was probably just something from an old crackpot's imagination. Shaking her head, the Hufflepuff took an Ancient Runes book to calm herself down.
And then she heard a door slam, and jumped up in her seat. Standing, and unconsciously reaching for her wand, Bette called out to the front of the library, "Hello?"
Seasonal Lookbook Challenge
Hi~! it's me again😊, I hope that you are not bored with me, and (again😅) I come up with a new challenge, today's challenge is about seasons, I lived in a tropical area so I have never experienced spring, fall, or winter. Because the main theme here is about seasons, so this is Seasonal Lookbook Challenge. There's only one rule: you just have to make 4 outfits for each theme based on the seasons (Summer, Fall, Spring, and Winter), other than that you can do whatever you want.
Seasonal Lookbook Challenge
01 - Visit a Jazz Café 02 - Formal Family Dinner 03 - Visit Local Flea Market 04 - Business Meeting 05 - Going out for Brunch with Friends 06 - A day in the Library 07 - First Date
okay! that's it :) I don't know if that's fun or not but if you tried it please tag/mention me or use hashtag #shjiwoo seasonal because I would like to see it, so I can give them heart or reblog it~
Thank you and have a nice day 🤗~
---
Note: I sometimes wonder how it feels to live in a country or area with four seasons. How has living in those countries been for you? Could you share a bit of your experience? thank you~
prompt; l'autobiographie
I.
My name is Joy. According to the battered copy of Baby Names my parents bought about 16 years ago, Joy is synonymous with happy, bliss, and the origin of the word joy is probably derived from the Anglo-French word joie.
There is much speculation as to why I was named that. My mother claims that she wanted to name me Zoey, but there was a miscommunication with the nurse. My father, on the other hand, always the sentimental one, told me that everyone was very happy when I popped into the world, so they named me Joy.
I don't know which one is true, or perhaps both are, but I wasn't such a pretty baby, so the second one's a bit hard to believe.
II.
I was born on March 14, 1996. Like all the other first-generation babies in the US, my hard-working parents hailed from mainland China and owned a modest Chinese take-out place. I didn't think much of it when I was younger, but now that I'm a bit older I realize how much faith it must have taken to persevere and get this far in America.
Bronx was a typical New York city with its good and its bad, a neighborhood filled with buildings and people that sat on lawn chairs on the sidewalks. They talked loud, and sometimes they brought out these boomboxes that played music that made my mother wince. It was the setting for some of my dearest childhood memories. I do not have many, but the ones I have are very clear. I've always been a stickler for little details. Sometimes I wonder if my brain makes things up, because it has a tendency to automatically fill in chinks of my memory.
My daddy was teaching me colors one day.
"Yellow," he said, "is the color of our skin."
"No," I compared my hand to the laminated yellow card.
He then looked at me. "Yes. Then you have people with white skin. Then people with black skin."
"What about red? Blue?"
I don't remember what happens next, but I'd like to think that my dad said something about how we were all people anyway. Something about kindness and loving and universal peace.
One day was of my dad teaching me the alphabet.
"This is A," he said, and he showed me on a sheet of paper.
"A," I copied him, but instead of connecting the top I drew them separate, so that it looked like an H instead.
"No. This is A."
I tried again.
"No!"
Again.
"No! That's an H!"
I remember yelling and crying, but by the end of the night I finally wrote an A.
Another distinct memory: I lived on the 23rd floor of a building, so whenever I peeked outside the window I could see the city beneath me. Across two blocks, against the side of an old maroon building there was a neon-light sign depicting a chicken and the name of my dad's take-out place. I remember watching it every night, waiting for it to turn off so my daddy would come home.
IV.
We moved to New Jersey, just before I started first grade. It was a diverse metropolitan suburb, just across the Bridge from NYC. In my side of New York there were many African Americans, and I was probably the only Asian people knew. But when I moved here I saw many different faces in my school. It was nice, in a way.
My first friend in Fort Lee was a boy in my class who I don't really keep in contact with anymore, but when I try I can imagine that crisp suburban autumn afternoon, the leaves on the trees slowly turning orange and red and brown.
"Ahnnyeong," he said to me in a foreign language.
"Onion?" I asked.
I later found out it meant hello in Korean.
My life in New Jersey has always peaceful. I suppose I'm very grateful for that, because I am a calm person that'd rather not deal with drama or any of the sort. New Jersey was nice. I'm not saying that Bronx was bad. Sometimes when I close my eyes at night I see the colorful street lights and the supermarket, C-Town. I'd see the traffic, because I lived near the Yankee Stadium. I'd hear the roars. I'd hear hip-hop soul music. I'd hear rap and curse words that my mother was anxious about. I wonder how I'd turn out.
But when I open my eyes again I'm staring up at the white underside of bunk bed above my bed. It used to be for my little brother, Anthony, but he got his own room. I now use the top bunk as storage for my stuff animals or clothes, so it's completely quiet in my room. Just the way I like it.
Memories in Fort Lee were more vivid. I read something on the back of a dictionary once; it said, "The world is only as big as your vocabulary." And I wholeheartedly believe that because without words, you cannot retain these memories.
I learned the piano. There's not much I can say except that it was sometimes a painful journey. My first time playing a chord, how I had to tape my index and ring fingers together because they were too weak to stand on their own. My mother calling me from work everyday, asking if I played piano, and as I got older, yelling at me when I stayed quiet to her question.
Sometimes I'm fascinated by the instrument. Eighty-keys with different pitches. I am amazed by how my fingers brush over the keys and press down and create songs. I admired Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the composer of the first sonata I played when I was in second grade, Sonata K. 545. It was pure creation, at my fingertips. The muscle memory, the mental reflexes when I looked a piece of music. So I got better and better, but not quite.
I'm not talented like my brother, who is like a prodigy in my eyes. I can work hard, and he is sometimes cocky and lazy. I suppose you would expect me to be jealous. I'm usually not, because I'm often very proud of him. Sometimes when I'm mad I can't believe God wasted such talent on him, and not me, but it's okay. He is Mozart (though not as genius), and I am Nannerl, Mozart's older sister. I bet you have never heard of Nannerl.
Now it is hard to tell who is better at the piano, him or me. But that's also okay. Sometimes.
V.
By writing this I realized something. I read a book, The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green, and in it the main character talks about how there is an infinite series of numbers between zero and one. Zero point one. Zero point zero one. And so on. But of course the series between zero and two would be greater. Some infinites are bigger than others.
My life is an infinity bounded in a limit. My birth is the number zero, and my death will be the number one. And no matter how hard I try I will not be able to get past one. But it's okay, once again, because within zero and one there is an infinity, an endless myriad of numbers and moments and laughs and tears and mistakes and poems and paragraphs and drawings and music and instruments and love and feelings and hate and sun and moon and stars.
And by writing this, I realize that when I look back at my not-quite-sixteen years of life, I realize it's all the good things I remember. I've had a nice life, so far, don't you suppose?
And it's not over yet. I'm still far from reaching number one.
-finito-
