A fist balled tight as he stood in wait. Thankfully there was no active Wu around here at the moment, but... what was he doing here? Terrell would keep out of sight- just in case there were any Heylin Armies around; such as the rock golems or Jack-Bots. He'd try and keep a close tabs on what Raimundo was doing... and if need be, he could use it against him. While he didn't want to hurt his friend of times past, they certainly weren't on friendly terms right now.

His ramblings stopped short at his height, to make room for a scoff tumbling into a chuckle. After a few thousand years, his height had fallen to the very bottom of list of annoyances. Still, he hopped off the kids back, definitely shorter and definitely unbothered by the question.

Oh great, the truth thing immediately got worse. And almost as if to prove their dynamic, as Sonic zipped up to him Nefarious let out a startled shriek and leaped feet into the air, only to tumble back to the ground in a heap. Shooting back up onto his feet, he dusted himself off and shot the hedgehog a manacling glower, trying to regain at least some shred of his dignity.

"What!? First of all—WHERE DO YOU KEEP COMING FROM!?" Why was it so hard to keep track of this annoying blue rat!? "Secondly, give me a little credit!!"

"I plan everything out! Down to the very last detail! NOT THAT YOU EVER APPRECIATE THAT!!" He crossed his arms with an indignant huff. "Every time you come here and mess with me, I only learn more about you! You're only fueling my rage, you know!!—And you know what!? I'LL PROVE IT!!" He suddenly spun on his heel and strode back to his desk to begin shuffling through a pile of blueprints. They were scattered haphazardly and some fluttered to the floor, but he didn't care. He was searching for one thing, and one thing in particular! His master plan, that was sure to stop Sonic in his tracks once and for all!

"AHA!" He exclaimed, suddenly grabbing one and holding it up in the air. He then spun back around and unfurled it, practically shoving it right in Sonic's face to reveal... a drawing of a catapult with a massive boulder on it. Complete with stick figure drawings of them both. "See?! You'll never comprehend MY GENIUS!!!"

Of course, there was no bite to his words as he spoke. A little frustration sure and maybe some exasperation but no real harshness to them. Leave it to the blue speedster to still worry about him at a time like this —it was sweet even if a little frustrating to the guardian. He didn't need to worry over him, he was a warrior after all.

i. Sonic is always watching out for him in... little ways. Tails gets caught by the cops for driving a stolen tractor into the local health insurance office? Sonic bails his ass out. Banned from the local mall for attempting to incite a riot over price inflation in Hot Topic? Sonic erases any trace of Tails' record from that mall's system. Looking after him is basically like trying to keep him upright while balancing a log rolling over a pool of lava. Your guy's getting run ragged, like it or not. ii. Tails pretends he doesn't know who Sonic is every single time the poor guy texts or calls him. "I'm at the orthodontist, I don't have time to listen to an insurance spiel, bye" when visibly in peripheral and very much not at the orthodontist. He really has no idea how to cope with the fact that Sonic... *gasp!* Cares for him! iii. That's all fine and good, but when he actually wants attention, Tails is like a fuckin' little kid with him. Very clingy, very needy, very loud. And yet, will subsequently act like nothing happened at all when he's satisfied. iv. Sonic may or may not remind him of his own version and that may or may not contribute to the list of reasons why he's distant.

While he'd get Kimiko to help with the hack, he knew that holidays weren't her favorite thing, so he'd have to pick up that slack.

❀;; -- She was confused, but then again deep cold tended to do that to a person. Especially one who had been out in said cold too long with no protective, warm clothing. Logically she knew she was in the forest, probably not far from the sewer entrance, but she just couldn't recognize anything around her. Perhaps it was the snow making everything look different. That coupled with the dimming light...yeah that's what it was.

Her body shivered hard, she was freezing. The last time she remembered being this cold...

Yumi gulped. No no. She didn't need to go down that road. XANA had used extreme temperatures against her multiple times. Cold twice. Was he responsible for this sudden cold snap? Funny, she couldn't remember her phone going off, warning her of an activated tower.

Pulling it out, she realized why. The phone was dead.

Fuck, she swore in her head.

How long Yumi had been wandering around the woods, likely in circles, she had no idea. But every part of her was frozen. This time no Odd. No Ulrich. Just her. Alone and with no way to contact anyone. The only reason it wasn't worse than the tree was that she wasn't trapped.

Physically anyway.

When she made yet another sudden turn, Yumi stopped in her tracks. Her body shivered hard, fighting against everything to get some heat to her vital organs. The sleepiness she was starting to feel, though, told her that she was losing that battle.

"U-Ulrich?" she shivered. "I-i-is that y-y-you?"

She took steps toward him, closer and closer but before she did reach him her legs gave out from under her and she collapsed hard into the snow below her.
