Skyler wanders mindless to just getting away from his home and trying to forget what happened at Starfall Islands. Yet it plays over and over in his mind and he doesn't like that at all. Then he froze at a sight. It was a Sonic, but there is something strange about them that Sky is very confused of. Masking up a smile as he approaches to them and wave.

regarding your post about cute interacctions with dark types: I got to meet someone's deino today! she was very friendly but her owner said she's also a bit of a handful because she goes out of her way to meet any and all humans

That’s lovely! I would just love a Deino, I’ve got an Absol that recently joined the team and slowly but surely I’m seeing the cute Pokémon underneath… not quite such an extravert, but we’re getting there.

     The half asleep pink hedgehog woke with a start, shuddering a bit from the voice that she had suddenly heard. She had been working hard on another project, mainly to distract herself from old memories resurfacing as of late. Tear stains covered the blueprints she had been drawing up for a new robot model; one she hoped would impress her father, as well as a chaos emerald that was to be used for it.

     She had been too deep in her sleep to pay much attention to who’s voice it belonged to, letting out a loud yawn as her canines were revealed a bit, stretching in her seat. Amy rubbed one of her eyes, trying to wipe the remaining tears away, as well as wake herself up more. She didn’t even bother looking around for who spoke just yet.

     “Huh..? Uh...yeah... I’m...okay.. Just tired... Gosh, I didn’t realize I fell asleep working again. Nice job, Amy. That’s more time lost from work.” She sort of mumbled those last parts to herself, readjusting her work space so she could get back to work. It was here then that she froze up.

     Wait a minute. She should be alone in here. Dad and Metal shouldn’t be here right now. So then...?

     Amy’s ears perked up in an instant, the young adult looking around the room frantically. “Wait, what!? Who’s in here??”

The silence between them could last an eternity. Ordinarily, it would have died as quickly as he had, but there's no timer to thwart sands of time when it came to Sonic the Hedgehog. Or what is left of him, at any rate. Mephiles is never going to pretend that immortality is a blessing, because he knows that it is not. Years felt like days, and gradually, it changed you. Shaped you into something you never thought you could be. He cannot imagine how a mortal transcended into such things... The demi-God is a mess of apathy, but something about the other's words stirrs something within him. Not that it matters.

He turns away.

❝ I cannot help you. ❞

Who is he to remedy such a thing?

Silence; he can only stand in silence at the sight of the being before him. Perhaps he was getting less sleep than he thought, seeing such stupid things. Even now, he was haunted by this hedgehog’s existence. How could he have been so idiotic? The Doctor turns away, staring at nothingness. Perhaps if he pays no attention to this vivid hallucination it will disappear.

❝ There’s no need in asking. You know very well how it’s going, ❞ his voice is low, gruff and sombre. Defeatingly acceptant and tired. ❝ So stop. ❞ For Gaia’s sake, stop. Why grow a conscience NOW? Move on from this. Why can’t you move on?
