The Infiltrator, chapter 5: The Beautiful World
Sorry for the delay on this, guys. I wrote a couple chapters ahead of time, so expect the next three to come up only a few days apart.
---
N left Maxie’s office feeling at least somewhat more confident than before. It was frustrating that no one seemed to know what the plan was, but now he knew where the admins worked and what they did. And Lysandre was apparently the project director. Surely he had to know what was up to do his job. And unlike Cyrus and Ghetsis, he didn’t seem too dangerous. He was a logical next step.
N went to stage 3 and knocked on the door to Lysandre’s office. No response. He used his key card, cracked open the door, and saw Lysandre facing a wall on which a video conference of about twenty different rich and important-looking people were projected.
“It’s settled, then,” Lysandre said, “I’m taking Kalos and the South half of Galar, but that’s all. I’ll be splitting my time between managing them and helping Giovanni with his other projects, and I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew. I plan on doing a perfect job, after all. Now, what about Unova? How should it be split amongst the nine Unovan governors we have signed on?”
“I don’t care which piece of land I’m in charge of,” a surly faced Unovan man interjected. “I keep asking you: how many workers will I have?”
“Gentlemen, there will be plenty of workers for everyone. Giovanni and I are still discussing the optimal number, but whatever number we come to, we’ll leave spares. Now, if we could please stay on topic...”
As the various board members talked amongst themselves about how to split up Unova, N took a good look at Lysandre and his office. The office walls, aside from the one the conference was projected onto, were covered in neat blueprints and paintings of various architectural and technological wonders. The office itself was spacious, perfectly clean, and stylishly decorated with green tropical plants in vases of gray rock. Lysandre himself, while not especially handsome, was equally well-put together and looked about twenty years old. He looked so much younger than he sounded that N almost failed to notice that he was at least seven feet tall.
N thought it wisest to close the door and wait for the meeting to be over. After twenty minutes, the door opened.
“Oh? What brings you here?” Lysandre asked congenially.
“I’m N, king of Team Plasma,” N started, remembering what Maxie had said about emphasizing his status. “I’m here from a universe where I won. I’m the new go-fer. I was hoping you could-”
“A go-fer?” Lysandre chuckled. “Come with me.”
Lysandre led N into his office. “I don’t know what Giovanni told you, but there’s no way that he intends to keep a person like you as a menial worker. Do you drink?”
“Uh, no,” N replied.
“Very well, then,” Lysandre said, pouring N a cranberry juice and handing it to him. “I have to say, I didn’t think you’d be joining us, N. I’ve researched a lot of great people for my job here, and you were one of them. You seemed like you could be a great leader. I’ve heard that you’re smart, well-spoken, have an eye for architecture and were loved by almost everyone you met, but so many people seem to think that you’re the renegade prince type. A ‘man of the people.’ What a pity that would have been. So, what brought you here to join Rainbow Rocket?”
N took a sip of his juice to give himself a moment to think. Would it be better to pretend to be what Lysandre wanted him to be, or to stick with what had worked so far? He went with the latter. “When I went through with my plan, people and Pokémon were separated. And once Pokémon had no reason to care about people...”
The smile fell from Lysandre’s face. “I see. You’re here because you had no choice. Well, I hope you’ll find yourself agreeing with our ideals. And what brings you to my office?”
“All the admins have to do a loyalty test. I just have to look into your mind for a few minutes using a Pokémon.” N took the espeon out onto Lysandre’s desk. “Can we do this now?”
“Of course,” Lysandre said, stroking the creature with his massive fingers.
“Alright. It’ll start when I touch the espeon,” N said.
Just as it had happened every time before, N touched the espeon and woke up in the orb pool.
He has just the kind of youthful beauty we’ll preserve, came Lysandre’s thoughts. Hopefully he’ll be one of the management class- nothing can convince me he didn’t have a hand in designing the Team Plasma Castle. But otherwise, I’ll spare him as a worker.
N didn’t know what any of that meant, but it didn’t sound good. “Show me what the plan is,” N said to orb pool. “And what he means by ‘sparing me.’”
A snake of orbs constructed itself and headed for N’s forehead.
---
In the darkened base of the Ultimate Weapon, Lysnadre stood, waiting for the power of the two legendaries to finish its transmission into the machine. A burst of red and black energy shot up through the poisoned flower’s stem, ascending through the ceiling. A faint chorus of screams sounded from above. Then, a blue and white energy shot through the flower’s roots, and Lysandre immediately felt his skin smooth out and his joints loosen. It was done. Almost anti-climactic, in a way. But at long last, he’d set the world on course for a beautiful future.
“Should we release the legendaries?” Xerosic asked. Lysandre looked over to him. It was strange seeing Xerosic with a full head of hair and skin that wasn’t discoloured from the chemical solutions he’d worked with for decades.
“No,” Lysandre replied, “They don’t share our ideals. They could lash out at us. Perhaps even undo some of our work. You know that preserving solution I had you prepare copious amounts of?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Mix in some sedatives and pour it into their chambers. Just in case we have to use the weapon again someday.”
“Will do,” Xerosic said as he left to fulfill his orders. In the meantime, it was time for Lysandre to travel to the Lumiose bunker and give his team the okay to come out. He emerged from the lab and called out his gyarados, upon which he rode towards Lumiose city. It was hour-long flight, and peaceful, until he saw the smoke.
Lysandre wasn’t even at the edge of the city when he realized the source of the fires: dozens of car crashes had occurred due to the drivers’ sudden death. He guided his gyarados down to put out a shop with hydro pump, then moved on to put out a Pokémon Center. Then, to his horror, he caught sight of the burning Prism Tower.
The fire of Prism Tower had eaten through an entire leg of its base, leaving it leaning precariously and with much of its metal twisted and disfigured by heat. After having it put out the fire, Lysandre had gyarados land. From the ground, he could smell the death and burning in the air. The streets were littered with the corpses of people and Pokémon. Lysandre took a few steps back, and his foot hit something hairy and unmoving. He turned around to see what it was: a dead furfrou with heart-clipped locks, tethered by leash to a dead man.
Lysandre heard Prism Tower collapse behind him. He couldn’t bring himself to look.
Suddenly, a portal opened before Lysandre and Giovanni stepped through it.
“Victory isn’t treating you too well, is it?” Giovanni said. “Don’t worry. That’s a very common thing for villains. If you come with me, I’ll take you to an unruined universe and tell you how we can do a more practical version of this. No burning buildings, no corpses.”
Lysandre barely registered Giovanni’s words before he caught sight of numerous grunts pouring out of a smoking Lysandre Café, the one in front wielding a fire extinguisher.
Lysandre ran over to them. “Is everyone alright?” Lysandre asked the group.
“Sure are, boss. The fire just started recently,” said a female grunt, wiping soot from her orange blazer. Though Lysandre couldn’t remember her name, he recognized her as the one who’d designed their uniforms. “What should we do now?” she asked
“Now,” Lysandre said, facing the destruction he’d caused, “we set to work creating the beautiful future.”
“Work? I thought this world would be just like the old one except that we won’t have to look at poor people.”
Did... did this grunt really think that she could go back to running her fast fashion line with no workers to staff it and no customers to fund it? Foolish. But no matter. Even if this grunt was an exception, money was a sign of brains, sense, and responsibility, and Lysandre knew he was leading humanity into the light now. Even if its beginnings looked a little ugly.
---
Two months had passed. It was a cold winter’s day, and Lysandre was stalking the halls of Lumiose’s power plant alongside Bryony and Celosia. There had been minor power outages over parts of Lumiose, and, as problems regularly did nowadays, it had fallen on him to fix it.
Lysandre worried about the future. Even now, in the cold winter months, the smell of the corpses that lined the halls was unavoidable. Getting his spoiled Team Flare grunts to move the cadavers was like pulling teeth, and without bug or bird Pokémon, their decay had been slow. Perhaps once the summer sun was upon them, the grunts would finally be willing to move on it. Of course, that was only one of their problems. Infrastructure had to be maintained. Food had to be grown. And while some members of Team Flare were willing to pitch in, others were disappointing him. They complained incessantly about the luxuries they no longer had and about the decaying landscape, and some had wasted weeks going back to their old lives as if the sheer force of their denial would bring the old world back.
After hours of searching, Lysandre found the keys to the power plant’s office on an important-looking corpse, found its computer’s password within its desk, and figured out what might have been the problem.
“Their forced draught fan was long overdue to be replaced. It was in the process of being shipped over when we wiped the slate clean.”
“What’s a forced draught fan?” Bryony asked.
“Yeah. And how do you replace one?” Celosia added.
“And how do you know that that’s the problem?”
“And what will we do for power if this isn’t it?”
“I don’t know,” Lysandre growled. It wasn’t their fault, but it was taking all his self-control not to scream at them. “We’re going to have to find out. Go to a trade school and look through their manuals. I’ll search the highways for the fan.”
The admins left without much more talk, and Lysandre slumped down in the office chair, eyes closed, tired. Though he was loathe to admit it, Lysandre missed the old world. Life had been so much easier and he’d had so much more energy and bandwidth when he’d had people to look after his home and garden, to drive him places, to chase people away when he didn’t feel like dealing with them, and a hundred other things he’d taken for granted. And he was sick of putting out fires all day for spoiled brats who were barely willing to take out their own garbage.
A blinding purple light appeared, forcing Lysandre to open his eyes.
It was Giovanni, emerging from a portal. Lysandre was stunned. The first time this had happened, he’d been so preoccupied by everything else going on that he’d barely registered it. He’d convinced himself it hadn’t happened at all.
“How did you get here?” Lysandre asked him.
“Inter-dimensional travel. That’s all you need to know,” Giovanni replied. “Tired of this yet? Step through the portal and it all goes away. You could go to a well-maintained mall, eat at a properly staffed restaurant, get your hair professionally cut, enjoy all the luxuries your money can buy.”
Lysandre stared at Giovanni a while, then shook his head. “If I left now, everything would fall apart. But my team has been waking up to what must be done. They will all wake up in time, and when they do, we’ll make Lumiose the most beautiful it’s ever been.”
Giovanni chuckled. “You’re, what, a hundred people? Two hundred? They could turn into the best workers the world’s ever seen and you still wouldn’t have the manpower to maintain Lumiose. And just think: the rest of the world is decaying no matter what you do. You’re going to get tired of this. It’s only a matter of time.”
With that, Giovanni disappeared back through the portal.
---
Time dragged on. The summer came and went, and with it came an underwhelming harvest. The second winter of the new world saw it quickly consumed along with the last of supplies found in groccery stores. That wasn’t what broke Lysandre’s spirit. He and his team were immortal. A few months of hunger would motivate them to farm smarter the next year. And his team was pulling together. The corpses were finally disposed of during the first summer. They’d even built a new prism tower, albeit a smaller one, representing their willingness to work and their capacity for rebirth.
What broke Lysandre’s heart was the decay. The once-beautiful streets of Lumiose, now with plantlife taking over the sidewalks, dislodged tiles in the streets, and rusting vehicles sitting abandoned. The abandoned buildings caked in dirt and strangled with ivy. Lawns and parks that resembled wild grasslands. Fountains filled with algae. It was truly the opposite of what he’d wanted. But he had to carry on.
The final insult began when one of his grunts complained to him that nothing in their gardens was growing and the fruit trees weren’t blooming. It had been late may at the time. Lysandre had dismissed it as the result of a late spring. But then June came and went, and nothing grew. It wasn’t a problem with the gardens, either- the ivy and overgrown lawns and even the wild areas remained as dead as they were in the coldest winters. The team demanded answers, of course. And orders.
“I don’t know why this is happening,” Lysandre admitted, “But I have a plan. We’ll use the Ultimate Weapon on our gardens to make the plants immortal.”
It took hours to move as many of their plants as possible into the bunker beneath Lysandre Café, but the flight back to Geosenge Town was short. It wasn’t until Lysandre tried to fire off the machine again that he realized something was amiss.
It wouldn’t fire. He opened up the pods of the legendaries to see what was wrong and found that they weren’t moving. He tapped on the glass. He drained the chambers of fluid. He even crawled into the chambers and opened their eyes. No response. In the midst of his team’s struggle to maintain civilization, Lysandre had neglected to consider what needs the two Pokémon might have. He’d never imagined that this could happen.
Xerneas and Yvetal were dead, rendering the ultimate weapon useless.
Lysandre collapsed to his knees and cried. What was he going to tell his team? That they’d just have to endure hunger until they found a way to get plants to grow again?
A portal appeared before Lysandre, and Giovanni stepped out. “Do you want to know why nothing is growing?” Giovanni asked.
Lysandre stood up and attempted to pull himself together, but Giovanni grew impatiant before he could reply.
“You killed all Pokémon in the world except your team’s. With no grass-types or bug-types, this was inevitable, and it won’t fix itself. There is nothing you can do to make this a decent place to live. Are you ready to hear what I have to offer?”
“I... I suppose it couldn’t hurt to hear you out.”
“My plan is a lot like yours, really. Simply put, I want to take over the world. And what better way to do that than buying whoever can be bought and brainwashing everyone else? You see, Lysandre, you and I can agree that little people get in the way. But you must see by now that they’re essential. I’m going to use the powers of legendary Pokémon to kill off about half the people on earth, brainwash almost everyone else to work for me, and leave their management to a group of people who are loyal to me. And then, we’ll make ourselves immortal and live like kings until we get bored and decide to take over the next universe for fun, and so on until the end of time. How does that sound?”
“Well... ambitious. Almost impossible. How will you achieve that?”
“Don’t worry about that. I’m going to recruit the best people in the multiverse at controlling legendaries and military conquest. But that brings us to you. Your team was legendary for its public image. You were meeting with movie stars and esteemed professors up until the very end. Heck, one of the elite four was openly a member of your team and kept her job. So, here’s what I’m proposing: your job will be to contact whoever in the world you think will be corrupt enough to sign onto my plan and competent enough to run a region of slaves. You could build an army of people who you think will best maintain the world’s beauty. Is that a deal?”
Lysandre thought for a moment. It seemed that this universe was truly ruined, and he could do nothing for his team. But this way, he could preserve and improve upon the beauty of numerous others. He stuck out his hand for Giovanni to shake. “I would like that very much.”
Giovanni shook his hand. “Excellent. Now let’s get you out of this mess.”

Review Response, Dec 22 - 28, 2019
“28″, but I’ll be including the reviews that came in this morning. Because hey.
And... there are a lot. The most this year.
Legacy Prologue - Kalos
1) That first part DEFINITELY reminded me of the XY chapter, except Y is being the Hikikomori (shut-in) and X is trying to drag her out... It’s a good role-reversal!
I also wanted it to be like the time in XY where Y found out what happened to her mother and she got super depressed. Except this time, X tries to do something about it. Finally.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Legacy #008
1) LOVED IT!
Thank you!
2) Poor moon. I loved this chapter
Hey, it’s you! <3 Thank you kindly.
3) WoW cool chapter. So blue confessionele next chapter hopefully? Lol have been waiting on that for the entire story so Lets hope its the case
Haven’t we all. ... Except for those that don’t like this pairing...
4) It’s nice to see platinum trying to help blue move things was a good chapter with nice interactions with the juniors and seniors all under the same roof
It’s like a big Dex Holder family! ... But not too big, since there are far too many of them nowadays! And despite Platinum not really wanting to get involved, she helps out anyways, as “foretold” by the Headcanon Chronology!
5) While Moon really should rest, the idea of her getting that Spirit of Vengeance team you posted about on your Tumblr sounds way too awesome. ...Also Umbreon bias since it's my first (and only) shiny, but yeah.
Poor Blue - it really is probably only going to hurt her the longer she keeps it in. Wonder how that is going to play out, since I guess Platinum's now put things in motion. I think the first scene in this chapter is the one I enjoyed the most.
Damn, for Moon's Pokemon to die like that...that's gotta be traumatizing. I have to admire that determination though, even though she's shaping up to be a revenge-obsessed character from what I see.
Awesome chapter as always and can't wait for the next one!
Hehe. Spirit of Vengeance. The amount of curse in that team would be quite terrifying. Hehehe... ... Only shiny, you say? Aww...
Platinum has gotten the ball rolling despite not really wanting to. MVP of the confession? Hehe... Sisterly bonds, indeed. Now, will it work out in favor for Blue??
Moon can’t be filled with a lust for vengeance if none of her friends and Pokemon have perished. And so now she rises from her agony with ice cold determination for blood to be spilled for the blood that had been shed. ... Or does that saying go the other way around? Heh. Regardless. She’s pissed, has a bow, lethal poison, and soon to be a team packed with ghosts (and Dark types).
Thank you as always! And you won’t have to wait long~!
6) Eh lucky really isnt my cup of tea but the way you write stories is pretty awesome keep up the good work!
I could tell by the anon ID you picked. To each their own. And thank you!
7) Awww blue being so shy hahahaha. Its like the roles have reversed since the first time they met thats so cute! Anyway Great story as usual
Hehe. Timid Blue~! It’s new and very cute, isn’t it? And thank you.
8) Hey man Great story looking forward to the next chapter
Thank you. It’s coming very soon.
9) Wow this is A really underrated story I really like how you keep most characters so in character!
Still underrated... in comparison to my previous stuff. But that’s to be expected, I guess. And thank you.
10) Well Colour me surprised ! A Pokemon story thats not forcing crack pairings! Anyway Where is green in this story?
Heh. Crack pairings... Only once in a solar eclipse. And... who? Heh. He’s in Kalos and thus off screen.
11) Wtf did moons Pokemon just die? Great story but damn thats fucking dark
Yes they perished in the fire. “Die, insect” and all. ... And one of them was an insect! Heh. Ahem. ... Dark? That’s not dark. Have you seen the stuff I did in SA and Destiny? Heh...
12) I mean I kinda like the story but isnt specialshipping canon? Also this is really really dark
No, it’s not canon. What is canon is that Yellow has a crush on Red. What’s also canon is that Red is uncomfortable with the idea. And of course he is. He thought she was a guy the whole time and then suddenly found out all at once that she was a girl and had a crush on him. His response is not going to be positive. And again, this is not dark. ... Though I guess that depends on your sensitivity.
13) hey sorry for not leaving A review for so long but I still really like the story lol!
Hey, you’re back. ... Then... who’s the anon with the v2 of your ID?
14) I love your writing style!
Thank you!
15) I somehow found Pearl smacking Black across the face to wake him up funnier than it should’ve been. Haha
I wonder if Blue really will confess to Red today. If so, I wonder how the opportunity would present itself.
Its quite sad that Hau, Lillie, and two of Moon’s Pokemon died. I guess this is where Moon’s overhaul comes in. I cant wait to see Moon’s viciousness unleashed when she inevitably meets the guys responsible for all that.
I look forward to more!
Hehe. Black always getting smacked around in my stories, literally and figuratively.
Will Blue truly confess on that day (which is a day before the stuff in Alola happens), or will she fail again due to anxiety? And will it end well for her??
Moon’s overhaul is happening now, yes. For that, she’ll have to go to Galar too. And I don’t know sh*t about that region, so... that’ll be difficult. Hehe. And much later in the story when she meets her foe... oho, Rage Unleashed Moon!
16) Moon and Lillie sure get burned really bad. Also, what about the kid with the malasadas? Hopefully, Blue will confessed to Red soon...
The local boy with the malasada had the same fate as Lillie. Two stretchers with a body on top, with the white blankets pulled all the way up.
17) I figured that now would be the best time to give a review for one of your works. therefore, I should review my personal favourite.
I been a consistent and long-time reader for numerous years now without ever leaving a review. I simply didn't have an account until recently just so I can give my thoughts on some of the series that you make.
Regarding Legacy as a whole, it truely showcases your ability to take the wide variety of dexholders and thiee different personalities and place them in situations that would absolutely never occur in the actual story. I have always loved the way you portray each individual character, improving thier teama and strategies and having genuine character growth. Although Sun and Moon are my uncontested favourite characters so far, I adore the way you use Platinum B in your stories, giving her a genuine personality and character traits.
You also generate a wide range of different and creative settings for each of the characters to go through. Legacy is the perfect example of this in terms of one truely coherent story setting. by using the opportunity of the highest stakes that these dexholders may ever face, you use the opportunity to explore all of the aspects of each character amazingly and how they would face this danger.
Since Sun and Moon are my favourite characters, the wait for this chapter absolutely killed me. Although it sucks that due to the lack of reviews for these characters I will get few opportunties to read your way of presenting the characters What I am trying to say is that the way you write your characters makes them feel REAL. I genuinely believe that these are the actual characters as they personalties are replicated and refined to perfection The way both Sun and Moon react in this chapter is exactly the way I would have expected them to. Being a Deliveryshipping day 1, seeing even the slightest interactions in any media, especially in your stories always brings joy to me. I have regulary reread most of your works such as Special Chronicals and Distinct Events becuase each story is chapter is amazing in its own right.
Your amazing work has inspired me to possibly start my own project one day. I am sorry for the stress that you have gone through this year and the issues with the Discord. It will get better this year. Seeing as you use reviews to indicate the popularity of a particular series, I had to write this review so that this series can get the update it deserves so that we can all see how this fantastic story ends. Thank your for all of the amazing work you have done.
Whoa, hello. Haven’t gotten a review this long since a certain someone stopped with Destiny reviews back in July.
Accounts aren’t necessary for the reviews. Guest reviews exist! And if you use the same anon ID, I’d know it’s you. But thank you for going through the effort! It’s much appreciated!
Aww, thank you very much! <3 And while I don’t know about Sun, but Moon is going to be in the spotlight quite a lot, so enjoy it! Since Platinum is my uncontested favorite, she gets plenty of development in my stories, with new character bonds, teams, battling style, etc. And unlike in DPPt, she actually gets to do things against the enemy.
Of the three major stories I’ve written (SA, Destiny, Legacy), Legacy has the lowest stakes. But I think it’s also the most personal, which I guess means it’s much more important for individual Dex Holders. Well, we’ll see as time passes. And yes, these are kind of things that would never happen in the actual arcs, so the Dex Holders get to be stress-tested. How would they react given their personalities, tics, relationships, etc, in a realistic situation?
Oh. ... Ahem. Sorry for making you wait 7 months. Ehehe... And while it’s true that Sun and Moon currently have the lowest “viewership”, that changes as time passes. Like Black and White in SA and X and Y in Destiny. As the “meh” torch is passed down to Sword and Shield, Sun and Moon might rise in popularity, thus increasing the chances of them appearing in my stories.
I don’t really know if this was how Sun would react though. But I also don’t know how he would’ve actually reacted, so this might not be outside the possibility range. I kind of had him act like Black, really, but without being as sweet... or loud. Well, there will be more Sun & Moon interactions for you to enjoy in the upcoming chapters, so... there you go!
You should start your own project! Go for it! And eh, Discord. Sh*t happens. I wouldn’t call that stress. Anyways. Yes, I use the review count as an indicator of how many people have finished the chapter. Of course, there are plenty of people who read the chapter to the end without reviewing, and the number of people who review after reading tends to fluctuate. But if there is a trend, that indicates a trend in viewership as well. And that is what I look at. Hence the charts. And yes. We’d all like to see how the story ends. Me included. Keep up with the reviews and we’ll all see it by 2021.
And thank you so much for the review and the... sweet talking. Hehe <3
18) Just found this story and am enjoying it thoroughly. Big fan of your Blue characterization as well, I used to enjoy shipping Red with Yellow, but recently, I've come to enjoy Blue with Red.
A small nitpick - Did none of the juniors comment on Red and Blue sleeping in the same room/bed while they stayed in Red's house in the last two chapters? I would assume the female juniors already know Blue likes Red and so won't say anything unnecessary, but I guess the guys are a little more tactful than we give them credit for?
Looking forward to me. Cheers.
Red with Blue works very well. And it’s cute! Hehe... ... biased.
Heh. The girls... already know, since the girls who are in the house were Platinum, White, and Y, and they already know of Blue’s crush and all that. So White and Y would just snicker at the fact that Red and Blue are sleeping on the same bed, while Platinum would just smile. As for the boys... Diamond might notice something if he spent more time talking to Red and Blue before and after. But I doubt Pearl or Black would notice anything odd. They’d probably just assume that Red and Blue are sharing the bed because a ton of guests were sleeping in the living room, so there were no other options.
Of course, all that’s assuming that the juniors know that Red and Blue are sleeping on the same bed. I don’t recall having Red and Blue give them a tour of the house, so as far as the juniors know, there might be another bed upstairs. ... Though a house tour is generally the first thing you do, but... heh. Ambiguity. No one knows for sure.
And I look forward to seeing more reviews from you!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
Well well. Would you look at THAT. Way above the average now. So... looks like I’ll have to keep my word and update Legacy again before this year ends in 3 days. Heh. Of course, I did notice a few things but... well... whatever.
18. That’s the most reviews I’ve gotten in a chapter in all of 2019. Or 2018. ... And vast majority of 2017 (Legacy Prologue - Kanto was in January 2017). If this kind of thing happened much more frequently, I would be updating Legacy like once every two weeks, instead of 3~4 times in a year.
But, there you have it! New record in almost 3 years. As a result... Legacy update in 3 days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DE #031
1) Sun and moon are so cute. I love them
Support the new...ish pairing!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
And with that, DE #031 is no longer in the top 4 least reviewed. Yay!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SC #017
1) Awesome story.
Thank you.
2) Well that was...brutal alright. Thugs deserved it though. I'm mildly surprised no one died, but I think that's more because I'm used to seeing that from your old "doom hammer" chapters.
I admit the Santa part was an amusing touch, and I guess that explains why you needed to release this by the end of the year. Heh, Blue's gadgets are useful as always and very effective - that's a nice disguise. That action scene was awesome and easily the best scene in this chapter. The situation aside...it was nice to see Red be a hero even without his Pokemon.
You were right - this is an enjoyable chapter and I like this "brutal Red" experiment. Can't wait for the next chapter!
Heh. The doom hammer is for serious stories. Not comical ones. So no one dies in the hands of Santa Claus. This time.
Tumblr media
Ahem. Well, there’s the inspiration for the chapter, and the reason behind the line of “Or Santa will go jolly on your naughty asses with a candy cane axe”. Hehe. Cheers, everyone, Santa has come to town!
And the duo of Red and Blue becomes much stronger. Mercenary Red with technological support!
Hehe. Much more serious brutal Red (instead of comical) to come up later as the experimentation continues. Ohoho!
3) holy crud, santa beating up a gang is greatest thing ever
Yep. Santa going to town on their naughty asses with a candy cane bat. What’s not to love?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
And with that, the latest SC chapter is now in the top 4 least reviewed. For now?
... Looks like the “A Day at Work” chapters are failing miserably, since they’re at 1 and 3 reviews respectively. So... I guess I won’t be doing that again.
And with this, the longest review response post of 2019 has come to an end.

Dan and Phil are actually outside for an extended period of time cause Pokemon
Summary: When he was 18, Phil Lester decided not to go on a Pokemon journey. But now he's graduated university and he has no idea where his life is headed. So he decides to get a starter Pokemon and fly to the Kalos region to collect all eight badges and maybe figure out what to do with himself.
Dan Howell just graduated from high school and is not hesitating to start his Pokemon journey. He just wants to escape the little town he grew up in and maybe actually become something worthwhile.
Lets see what happens shall we?

Phil Lester had run more in the past 5 minutes than the last 22 years of his life. And it showed, as he arrived at Professor Rowan’s lab sweaty and gasping for breath. The large and rather imposing building was in the middle of Sandgem Town, a fair distance away from Phil’s house.
A research assistant glanced up from his clipboard and briefly inspected the flushed visitor, quirking a disinterested brow. “Kath’s kid?” he guessed, gazing at Phil through bleary eyes. Trying not to take offense at the researcher’s dismissive tone - as he clearly hadn’t slept properly in weeks - Phil replied with a cheerful “Yep” between puffs of air before finally managing to catch his breath.
“I mean, yes, I am Kathryn’s son. My name’s Philip, uh, Philip Lester. But I just go by Phil though so you can call me that if you want.” He smiled, extending an arm in attempted greeting. The researcher regarded his friendly gesture with disdain and Phil dropped his hand, brushing it awkwardly against his pant leg. After a moment’s pause the man reluctantly replied “I’m Rob,” before gesturing vaguely at Phil and heading for the central laboratory. .
Phil trailed uncertainly behind Rob as he made his way confidently through the lab, struggling to take in the labyrinth of desks and machinery while still keeping up with the older man.
Finally, after enough twists and turns that Phil doubted he’d be able to find his way out of the building, they arrived at what seemed to be the central research area. “Rowan’s in there. He’ll talk to you,” Rob dismissed before turning on his heel and marching back down the hall.
Phil took a moment to reassess his life choices as he scanned the room. There were a lot of people. And Phil wasn’t 100% or even 50% sure about what exactly Professor Rowan looked like.
Timidly, Phil made his way further into the room, feeling wildly out of place among the haggard yet professional looking scientists. He stuck his hands in the pockets of his white hoodie trying to make himself as small as possible. Which wasn’t very small mind you, as even with his hunched posture, Phil stood at about 6’2.
“Philip!,” Phil startled, almost knocking some complex looking machine, earning himself unamused looks from several scientists. Luckily they were quickly distracted by the approach of a very stern looking bearded man in a lab coat.  “Your mother told me you would be coming today,” he said, giving Phil a look that might have been reassuring were Phil not completely terrified of this man.
“My mother? Oh, oh you must be Professor Rowan. I’m so sorry I was just kinda brought here by this guy named Rob who I think needs to sleep more- and he just like left me here on my own and I didn’t know what to do and-“
He was cut off by a somewhat bemused chuckle from the professor, and he went silent, feeling even more self-conscious than before.
“Well, luckily you made it here in one piece. Please, follow me,” The professor beckoned Phil, who had to hurry to catch up to the professor’s confident stride.
“As you probably know already, normally when a child turns 18, they can choose to become a pokemon trainer. I provide these kids with their first pokemon,” Phil made a noise of confirmation. He had considered becoming a pokemon trainer when he first turned 18, but he had eventually decided to go to university instead. But now that graduation was finally over he wanted to at least give pokemon training a go.
“Now here in Sinnoh you have three choices,” Rowan came to a halt in front of a small metal canister containing three poke balls. “I presume that you know them but just in case you’re still making your final decision,” Rowan opened the canister, tapping the buttons on each of the pokéballs.
Phil was actually having a bit of trouble deciding which pokemon to pick. Chimchar was a great option of course but Phil had ruled him out before even getting to the lab. He wouldn’t be unhappy with a Chimchar but he just didn’t think that the fire line was the one for him. This left the other two.
On the one hand Piplup was adorable and Phil had always had a soft spot for water starters. But on the other hand Turtwig had a plant on its back, which was very appealing given Phil’s love of houseplants.
Ultimately he decided it would be best to meet the pokemon before making his final decision.
The three pokemon stared up at him, clearly anticipating his decision. Phil felt kinda bad picking between them; he never liked choosing favourites and this was literally all about choosing favourites. And what happened if he chose wrong? What if he regretted his decision later? This was the start of his journey and if he messed up now then what did that mean for the future of said journey? What if-
“Go with your gut son,” Phil snapped back to reality at Rowan’s words. His gut? He wasn’t good at that. But he supposed he didn’t have a choice if he wanted to get out of here within the next ten years.  And honestly, if he were to go with his gut… “Piplup,” Phil tried to sound sure of himself, but he probably just came across as nervous and loud. That didn’t seem to matter to Piplup though, as the little penguin made an excited cheeping sound and jumped right at Phil’s chest.
Flailing a little bit, Phil was luckily able to catch Piplup before the poor bird hit the floor. Rowan laughed a little, and Phil couldn’t help but join in. Piplup certainly seemed like he would be an energetic companion.  Phil only hoped that he would be able to keep up.
“Piplup seems like an excellent choice for you Philip,” Rowan encouraged, returning the other two starters to their respective pokeballs. Phil nodded in agreement.
“I think so as well. And I hope that the other two will be able to find good partners as well,” Phil glanced nervously at the two remaining pokeballs, still feeling bad about the pokemon he was leaving behind.
“Oh don’t you worry. They’ll find good homes. For now, however, we should get you and piplup on your way” Rowan turned to another desk and riffled through a few drawers before turning back to Phil with a handful of pokeballs and a pokedex.
“You might want to put Piplup down before I hand you anything else,” Rowan recommended, nodding towards the little penguin that Phil was still clutching to his chest. Phil deposited piplup back on the table and turned back to Rowan, almost running into his outstretched hand.
“In a rush are we?” Rowan said, keeping a firm grip on the pokedex he was holding out to Phil.
“No sir! I just didn’t want to keep you waiting,” Phil explained, feeling his cheeks reddening as he tried to explain himself.
“No need to panic son, it was just a joke,” Rowan assured as Phil took the blue pokedex.
“Oh right, sorry” Phil smiled awkwardly. Now he was in a bit of a rush to get out of here. Though that was due more to embarrassment about his apparent inability to take a joke than anything else.
“I hope you know how a pokedex works already?” Rowan asked as Phil inspected the machine in his hands.
“Yeah, I’ve read about them before. But I’ve never actually held one, so this is pretty exciting,” Phil explained before slipping it into his pocket. He would be able to check it out in more detail after Rowan was done with him.
“And of course you know how these work,” Rowan continued, handing Phil five pokeballs. Phil nodded, clipping them onto his belt so he could get at them easily if need be.
“This is Piplup’s pokeball, but you can keep him out of it of course.” Rowan handed Phil one final pokeball, this one full sized, as it had recently been used.
Phil glanced at Piplup “You wanna go back into your ball, or would you rather stay out with me for a while?” he asked. Piplup cheeped again, and while Phil didn’t exactly speak pokemon, he was pretty sure Piplup was indicating the fact that he would rather stay out for a little while. So Phil shrunk down his pokeball and put it alongside the others.
“Is that all?” Phil asked, picking up Piplup and turning back to Rowan. Rowan nodded.
“That should be it. Unless you wanted some information about where you should go next?” Phil shook his head.
“Actually I wasn’t going to stay in Sinnoh.” This made Rowan raise an eyebrow.
“Is that so? Well in that case, what region were you thinking of exploring instead?”
“I was planning on making my way over to Kalos actually,” Phil admitted, hugging piplup a little closer to his chest.
Phil’s parents had desperately wanted him to stay in Sinnoh. It was easier for them to visit each other if Phil was in the same region as them. But ultimately they had supported Phil’s decision. He had always stayed close to home, and if he was going to go on this grand journey or whatever it was supposed to be, he wanted to go all out.
Phil still wasn’t quite sure as to why he chose Kalos specifically.  He had spent months going over his options and he couldn’t even narrow it down to three, but about a month ago he had decided that Kalos was the way to go, for no reason in particular other than it felt right. Maybe he was better at listening to his gut than he thought.
“Oh, I’m actually good friends with a professor there. Professor Sycamore is his name. It’s a fascinating region. Good choice Philip.”
“Thank you sir,” Phil’s grip on Piplup relaxed a little bit at Rowan’s approval. It was comforting to know that Rowan knew people from that region and still thought it was a good choice. Phil figured that was a good endorsement.
“Well then, you’d best be on your way. Remember to call your mother from time to time okay? We don’t want her to worry about you.”
“Oh I don’t think that’ll be a problem sir. If I didn’t call my mother on a regular basis I’m afraid she might skin me alive.” And even without the incentive of keeping his skin, Phil still wanted to keep in touch with his family. Especially his brother, who was moving to Kanto a few weeks after Phil was to arrive in Kalos. Martin had scored some kind of paid internship in Professor Oak’s lab, and Phil desperately wanted to know how it went.
“I’ll be off then,” Phil put Piplup down so that he could shake the professor’s hand, “It was very nice to meet you Professor Rowan.”
“Likewise Philip. I wish you all the best in Kalos.” Rowan’s handshake was firm and a little bit intimidating, but Phil tried to ignore it and returned the shake best he could. “Though, before you go, I was wondering if you could do me a quick favor.”
“Yeah, of course. What is it you need?” Ronan released Phil’s hand from his death grip and walked over to his desk. When he returned, he was carrying a sealed envelope.                 “Could you deliver this to Professor Sycamore when you arrive in Lumios city? His lab is there, so it won’t be out of your way. And I’ll let him know you’re coming.” Ronan handed Phil the letter, which he tucked into his jacket pocket.
“No problem. It’ll be nice to meet him anyways so this is no trouble. Thank you again for, y’know, the pokemon and stuff.” And on that awkward note, Phil walked back into the main room of the lab, leaving Rowan to get back to whatever it was that pokemon professors did.
Phil was shown out of the building by a different, yet equally sleep deprived, scientist. Making his way back home, Phil looked down at Piplup, waddling along happily beside him, and couldn’t help but smile a little bit.
        “Let’s hope this isn’t a disaster.”

Pokemon Journey of Kalos
Essence, Claire, and Aries belong to Kimmy-ko while Lucy and Allen belongs to me so enjoy. Chapter 5
“So this is Santalune Forest”.
The group were walking to Santalune City for their first gym battle but had to cross the forest first. “Yeah once we cross Santalune Forest we'll be at Santalune City easy”, Lucy said.
“Wow this place is awesome”! Aries grinned, looking around the forest gleefully.
“Such beauty of nature”!
The girls and their pokemon sweatdropped while Slash sighed. “He's a grass type trainer alright”, Lucy sighed.
“Oh the others should enjoy this”, Aries grinned, getting out two pokeballs.
“Come out Chestnut, Blade”!
Aries’s Chespie was sent out along with a Grovyle to Lucy’s and Claire’s surprise. “A Grovyle”, Claire gasped, getting out her pokedex.
Grovyle, the Wood Gecko pokemon and the evolved form of Treecko. Grovyle has powerful legs which allow it to move quickly and jump with great power
“This is my Grovyle, Blade I got him as my starter when he was a Treecko”, Aries grinned.
“Grov”, Blade nodded.
“Wait starter? You're from Hoenn”? Lucy said surprised.
“I thought you were from Sinnoh like Essence”, Claire said.
“Nah I'm from Hoenn and started my journey there I met Essence when I decided to go to Sinnoh”, Aries explained.
“And I've been stuck with him since”, Essence sighed.
“Oh you know you love me Essey”, Aries grinned.
“Yeah,yeah”, Essence said lightly.
Lucy and Claire blinked at the two before looking at one another and shrugged. “Guess that's how they always act”, Lucy remarked.
“Why not we let out all our pokemon for a small break”.
“That sounds good”, Claire nodded.
They all let out their pokemon as they sat and relaxed Essence noticed Aura sitting and laughing with a chimchar she guessed was Claire’s Blazer. “Those two get along”, she remarked with a hum.
“Oh yeah when the two first met they hit it off instantly”, Claire smiled, brushing Sophie’s fur.
“Also helps that Blazer has a huge crush on Aura”, Lucy smirked brushing Silk’s fur.
“Seriously”? Essence said surprised.
“Oh yeah and it's really obvious too everyone back home knows too”, Lucy said, Silk nodding in agreement.
Essence blinked then looked at the two again and noticed Blazer’s slightly flushed cheeks as Aura leaned on him with a smile. “Oh my god you're right”, she gaped.
“Told you”, Lucy hummed.
“But wait does Aura feel the same”? Essence asked.
“Mmm it's a little hard to tell”, Claire said thoughtfully.
“I say she does but she's in denial”, Lucy said.
“How so”? Essence asked.
“Getting all flustered, quickly saying it wasn't like that, stuff like that”, Lucy chuckled.
“Heh reminds me of someone else I know”, Essence smirked, glancing at Sparks who was sitting next to her.
Sparks looked at her with a scowl before having a thoughtful look before getting up and walked over to Aura and Blazer as they looked up noticing him. Oh hey Sparks, Aura spoke.
(Hello Sparks), Blazer said politely.
(Hi, hey Aura come with me for a sec? Wanna ask you something), Sparks said.
Hmm? Sure I don't mind. That ok with you Blazer? Aura asked.
(Not at all), Blazer nodded with a smile.
Aura smiled and nodded getting up and followed Sparks to a more secluded part of the forest. So what did you wanted to talk about? Aura asked.
(I overheard something from Lucy and Essence and I want to confirm it), he said
Confirm what? She asked confused.
He glanced at her and smirked making her twitch. “Something tells me Im not gonna like this”, she thought.
(You’re pretty close to Blazer aren’t you), he remarked lightly.
Huh? Well yeah I’ve known him for years now, so what? She asked suspiciously.
(Oh nothing just thinking you must really like Blazer), he smirked.
What? Well of course I like Blaz-!
Aura blinked for a moment before flushing in realization getting flustered. I-I mean I like him as a friend! Not what you think or anything! She quickly said.
(Oh? But I didnt say anything), he smirked.
Y-you little! You’re doing this on purpose to mess with me! She growled.
(Don't know what you mean I was only curious thats all), he said ‘innocently’.
Why you, She began annoyed.
Then she stiffened silent confusing him. (What’s wrong? Meowth got your-)
Run now, she said suddenly.
(Huh? Why should I)? He began.
Beedrill suddenly flew up from the trees making them sweatdrop. That’s why, she said.
Now run!
They quickly began running as the Beedrill chased after them.
“Oh man I didnt realize how late it got”! Lucy gasped, seeing the setting sun.
“Guess we’ll have to camp here for the night”.
“Ah sleeping in nature how I love it”, Aries said happily.
“I’ll start dinner”, Lucy sweatdropped.
Claire gave a weak chuckle as she and Nina started a small campfire when she noticed Essence looking around. “Is something wrong Essence”? She asked.
“I can't find Sparks anywhere”, Essence frowned.
“Hey now that you mention it I don't see Aura either”, Lucy frowned, looking up.
“Ah I wouldn’t worry I’m sure those two are fine”, Aries grinned.
Ah! Ok we lost them!
Aura and Sparks panted after managing to out run the horde of Beedrill. (Geez attack us out of nowhere, what’s their problem?!) Sparks growled.
We must’ve been near their nests and they got territorial when we got near, she panted.
This is the problem with Beedrill they’re hot headed and jump to conclusions way too quickly!
(That’s for sure), he grunted in agreement.
They looked around and he noticed that it was becoming night time. (It's getting dark we should get-!)
Sparks turned to face Aura and grew wide eyed in shock.
Lucy stirred the stew she was cooking a frown on her face as she did.
“You ok”?
Lucy looked up at Essence who had a worried look. “I’m fine just worried about Aura”, Lucy sighed.
“I wouldnt worry too much Sparks may seem rude but he’s a good pokemon he’ll have Aura’s back”, Essence assured.
“I bet he will but that’s not it”, Lucy frowned, confusing Essence.
“The thing is it's night now and Aura doesn’t do well in the dark”.
Sparks was shocked to see Aura shaking a frightened look on her face. (Hey Aura what’s wrong?) He questioned, placing a paw on her shoulder.
AHH! She shrieked, moving back.
(Hey calm down it's only me!) He said shocked.
S-Sparks? Right, right you’re here, she sighed shaking.
(What’s up with you? You’re shaking like a leaf), he frowned.
L-let's just say I don't do so well in the dark, freaks me out, she muttered.
“It freaks her out? Her? She doesn't seem like the type”, he thought surprised with a frown.
He then sighed using his tail, he grabbed her making her gasp. HEY! What the?! She began.
(Relax it's still me), he assured, placing her on his back.
She blinked surprised feeling herself placed on his back feeling his warm fur. (Just relax you can rest on my back and I’ll take us back to the others), he said gently.
She was surprised by the gentle tone before she began to relax letting herself be lulled to sleep he noticed this smiling in relief before walking off.
“That’s it I’m looking for them”.
They looked at Lucy who had finished cooking dinner. “They should’ve been back by now I’m going to get them”, Lucy said.
“I’ll come with you I’m worried about them both”, Essence frowned.
“Come on you two I’m sure they’re fine”, Aries began.
“They’re back”, Claire said softly.
They all looked up surprised to see Sparks walking over to them a sleeping Aura on his back. “There you are Sparks! You had us worried”, Essence said, as Sparks walked to her and Lucy.
“Lux”, Sparks said, looking at Aura.
He shook her with his muzzle making the Riolu groan and open her eyes. Mmm… Where? She began.
“Hey Aura, you ok”? Lucy asked with a gentle smile.
Aura blinked surprised looking around and remembered looking down at Sparks before quickly getting off him. Y-yeah Im fine, she said quickly.
Lucy chuckled at her partner patting Aura’s head. “You guys must be hungry I already laid out the pokemon food go eat with the others”, she said.
Aura nodded quickly going to sit and eat Sparks turned to follow. “Oh Sparks thank you for helping Aura”, Lucy spoke.
Sparks stopped for a moment giving a light shrug before going to eat Lucy and Essence smiled. “He can be rough but he’s a huge softie”, Essence grinned, making Lucy giggle.
Aura was silently eating as Sparks sat next to her and began eating she swallowed as she looked at him a little nervous. Hey um… Thanks for well… Back there, she said.
He looked at her and gave a light smirk. (Don't worry about it and though Blazer must really give you comfort from the dark), he remarked innocently.
She flushed and weakly scowled at him. You’re impossible sometimes, she said.
He chuckled playfully flicking his tail at her as she playfully swatted at it the two beginning to form an unbreakable friendship.

Alola, Akala! What a wonderful phrase Alola, Akala! Ain't no passing craze
It means new trials, I might be crying for days About my center-free, philosophy
Alola, Akala!
Why, when Nina was a young rock doooog
Rockruff, ruff ruff ruff rockruuuuuuuuuuuuuuff!
Very nice!
Rockruff.
We came to Heahea city and I couldn’t help feel I was enjoying this challenge!  I could let out a squeal! I’ve an optimist’s soul, though I couldn’t begin To really truly believe, that I could ever win...
And I’m not ashamed!
(No, there’s no shame!)
It’s a difficult game!
(Why am I doing this game?)
I feel like I’ve lucked up
(How do I feel?)
Whenever I haven’t -
(Tori! Not in front of the kids!)
Sorry.
Alola, Akala!
What a wonderful phrase
Alola, Akala!
Ain't no passing craze
It means new trials, I might be crying for days About my healing-free, philosophy
Alola, Akala!
...Uhhhh… Sorry about that.
But seriously, I’m actually feeling pretty good about myself, docking into Heahea City!  Even though I can remember the second island of Alola is a lot harder than the first, I’m pretty happy with the team I cobbled together back there, and I’ve got a pretty respectable stash of revives if the worst happens.  Even if I’m still not convinced I’ll make it to the Elite Four, I can still be pretty confident that I’ll make it to the other side of this island.  Bring it on, I say!
Another city, another chance to buy everything blue and purple from the clothes shop.  (Did I even mention that I went back and got everything purple from the Hau’oli clothes shop before I came here?  Because I did!)  Shockingly though, even without having spent any money on items for the entire game, I still can’t afford the slightly-purple trainers they’re selling here.  I blame the recession.  I vow to come back here after the first trial and see if I have more luck then.
Before I can even get onto route 4 and savage the local wildlife, I’m accosted by Sina and Dexio, a pair of scientists on their holidays all the way from Kalos!  I kinda miss Kalos.  Since my copy of pokemon Y got lost a long while ago, it’s the only region I haven’t been playing games in non-stop in the last three years.  If I have any secret millionaires hidden among the five people who follow this blog, hit me up if you want to send me a copy of pokemon X.
Anyway, Sina invites me to a pokemon battle, but that doesn’t last long.  Her delibird provides me with one of those rare battles where my pokemon end up with more health at the end of the match than they had at the start, and her glaceon gets dispatched by a couple of Magnet Bombs from Digit Al the magnemite.  As a reward, she heals my pokemon and gives me a Zygarde Cube.  I have no intention of adding a Zygarde to my party, but I’ll take the cube anyway - I can’t say no to a good treasure hunt.  Also, I literally can’t say no.
I charge through route four pretty quickly on tauros’s back, with Nina throwing rocks at trainers as we go.  We soon reach Paniola Town, where Hau catches up to me.  Hi Hau!  He challenges me to a battle, and - oh, Hau, sweetie, you still only have two pokemon?  I have a feeling that nepotism played a part in Hau winning his first grand trial, bless him.  In any case, Jabba the grimer beats his pikachu, Digit Al beats his popplio, and I find out that sweet, innocent Hau heals all his opponents’ pokemon both before and after every battle he gets into.  No wonder the boy’s not doing so well - the potions alone must be costing him a fortune, and god knows how he manages to restore the moves of everyone’s PP on top of that.
I wander around the only open non-pokemon-center building in the Town and a magmar gives me a quick ball which is heavily implied to have been hidden up its read end.  I think that’s my cue to leave.
Onwards to Paniola Ranch, where I get a Stoutland registered on my ride pager who can sniff out items for me, and the useful lad even finds me some useful healing items.  Hey, if it finds super potions on the ground, does that make it a drug-sniffing dog? ...That was really clever in my head, but on reflection, that’s probably where the entire concept of the Stoutland Search function came from.  Let’s pretend I didn’t say anything.
While I’m here, I say hi to a tauros in the corner, and a pokemon breeder wanders up to me and asks me if I want to battle him to calm him down.  Makes sense - when I’m feeling riled up, nothing calms me down more than having a cartoon woodpecker break a brick on my head.  Anyway, the breeder gives me a Scope Lense when I’m done.
Just before I head up to route 5, where my next trial is waiting, I see a miltank standing next to the pokemon nursery.   Normally, I’d go up to it and investigate; I love the little touches the developers of the game add when you interact with pokemon like that, even when they turn out to be a quick ball hidden in a magmar’s arse.  I don’t do it here, though, because I remember that I used to get healed by that miltank when I was playing Pokemon Sun, and getting deliberately healed by an NPC is Against The Rules.  I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been tempted to feign ignorance, though.  The trainers around the ranch are a great source of experience, but they do take a toll on the HP.
And now I’m on route 5, and I can finally meet everyone’s favourite edgelord, Gladion!  I love the weird thing he does where he sort of clutches his hand in from of him and it sort of vibrates.  I’m sure it’s meant to make him look more mysterious and unpredictable or whatever, but it just makes him look like he’s doing that thing you do when you’re trying to spook kids at halloween.  “And the scariest part is, nobody knows where the disembodied hand is now - wait - noooo!  It’s here!  Run, save yourselves!”
Gladion’s first pokemon is a zubat, which goes up against Celine McQueen the slowpoke.  I win that match, but in hindsight, I wish I’d switched pokemon early on in the battle.  I should know by now that zubats always seem to know Bite, and Celine took more damage than was really necessary.  Regardless, I switch over to Jabba when he sends out his Type:Null.  Jabba poisons Nully with his Poison Fang attack, but man, I forgot how much of a punch that guy packs, even with a relatively weak attack like tackle.  Jabba immediately has to switch places with Digit Al to avoid death.
...Hey, speaking of Jabba dying, a thought has just occurred to me.  How did Jabba the Hutt die of being strangled in Star Wars?  He doesn’t have a neck!  What’s that about?
Sorry, I guess that’s not that important.  Digit Al has higher defence than Jabba, so he manages to take a couple of hits and send a couple of thundershocks until Type:Null gets knocked out.  That’s that done and dusted and he… doesn’t heal my pokemon.
Huh.
Unless I’m very much mistaken, that marks the first time in the game where I battle a major recurring character and don’t have my pokemon automatically healed before or after the encounter.
I guess this is where things really get interesting.
End of chapter seven.

Trivia In Generation V, Azumarill and Marill are the only Pokémon that can have the Electric type as their sole weakness. This is because of their Hidden Ability Sap Sipper. Azumarill is the only member of its evolutionary line that was not publicly revealed prior to the generation it debuted in. Origin It may be based on a combination of a rabbit and a beach ball or possibly a personal flotation device or lifebuoy. It could be also possibly based on the swamp rabbits, which have a strong preference for wet areas (such as cypress swamps, marshland, floodplain, and river tributaries) and that will take to the water and swim. Azumarill's water-like splash pattern may reflect from the camouflage of Countershading of aquatic animals such as sharks and penguins, being that they have a dark coloration on top to match the dark water underneath and a white coloration on their under to match the sunlight from above. Name origin Azumarill is a combination of azure (a shade of blue) or azul (Spanish and Portuguese for blue), Marill, and possibly rill (a small river or brook) Marilli may be a combination of 丸い marui (round or circular) or 鞠 mari (ball) and 瑠璃 ruri (lapis lazuli). Chapter 13
Scene 5:
[Ren keeps her promise and heads out to Route 118. She suits up and crosses the wide river delta on Roma, then changes again on the far shore. Ren, Akahata, and Ao hike east for a while until they stumble on a small deserted cove. They all have lunch on the sand and Ren wades in the surf a little. Roma and Pohaku explore the cove together to be safe and Kōtai harvests berries from the nearby bushes. Ren gets a text from Kai while drying out on the sand and pulls out her nav. He tells her about his search for feebas further up the river.]
Ren: I'll probably catch up to you before you get to Fortree, but if I don't just wait for me there.
Kai: Will do. So how are you?
Ren: It's been super tough and emotional lately, but I'm actually doing a lot better. I even decided what I'm going to do.
Kai: Really?!
Ren: I'm gonna take the Hoenn League challenge.
Kai: Ahhhh!!! That is so awesome! Not that I wouldn't have been supportive if you decided to do something else but… Gah! I'm so excited! I'm behind you 100%! I don't know about the Elite Four, but I'm gonna try and get through all of the gyms. We can help each other train and take them on together if you want.
Ren: Haha. Sounds good. It is a little bittersweet through. I released three of my pokemon this morning.
Kai: Wow, that must have been tough. What happened?
Ren: We had a big team meeting and decided what we wanted to do. Oro (my exploud) went back to keep helping the whismur, Tenga (my breloom) wanted to go home and deal with some forest politics, and Ikki (my masquerain) wanted to raise a family.
Kai: Wow. All three of them were such good battlers, especially your breloom. It must of been sad, but it's really cool that they are making new lives for themselves. We’ll have to check in on them sometime.
Ren: I don't think it's really sunk in yet. I'm gonna miss them a lot.
Kai: I bet. By the way, Angela from my dad's lab is in Rustboro researching the whismurs, so I could have her send a message to your exploud if you want. She was super grateful for the tip-off, so she wouldn't mind at all. Because of you she got there before they restarted construction.
Ren: Good to hear!
Kai: And I also heard through the jade vine that someone from Prof. Sycamore's lab in Kalos is there. It's so cool!
Ren: On behalf of both myself and Oro, you're welcome. Oh, I had portraits taken with everyone before they left. Wanna see?
Kai: Yes!
Ren: Sending… [She sends the pictures but then remembers the Kōtai one may not be super appropriate.] By the way… I'm not wearing very much in one of them.
Kai: Oh. Should I not open them?
Ren: No. I mean that's up to you. I don't mind. It just occurred to me that I should probably warn you… You know. Given the circumstances…
Kai: Right. Thanks. Cool. Noted.
[There is a pause while he looks at them. Ren sends the photos to Wally as well.]
Kai: These are crazy awesome, Ren! I love them.
Ren: I'll have you know that Ren Kosugi does nothing by halves.
[Her nav boops as she gets a message from Wally in another window.]
Wally: First of all how dare you.
Ren: Wha?
Wally: Why do you have to be such a rock star? щ(ಥДಥщ) This is so unfair! Have you even looked at these! ೕ(Ò⺫ Ó )೨
Ren: Well they did cost a pretty penny.
Wally: And they were worth each and every cent. And that is beside the point. We are discussing your poor sportsmanship. ☜(`o´) How is anyone supposed to compete with this?! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
[Ren cackles to herself as she goes back and forth between the chats. However, she is soon interrupted by a metallic flutter of wings. She looks up to see Steven dismounting his skarmory not ten feet away.]
Steven: [walking over] Well hello again, Ren. I see you’ve found another one of my little spots.
Ren: Huh?
Steven: I visit this cove sometimes when I have things to think about. It’s usually deserted.
Ren: Oh, I’m sorry—
Steven: No, not at all. I don’t mind sharing. [He plops down on the sand next to her.] Besides, it’s not like I own the place… [He looks out at the water as Roma and Pohaku breach the surface for a moment before diving back down. Then he turns back to Ren.] It’s actually good to see you again. You had me a bit worried. You look better. How are you doing?
[Ren ignores the soft beeps from her nav that tell her that the boys are still texting her and puts it away.]
Ren: A lot better. It's been rough, but I've had a lot of support. Thank you so much for everything you said last time. That helped a lot too.
Steven: You're welcome. To tell you the truth, I said what I thought would have helped me after I lost Hecate. I'm glad it worked. In any case, it certainly seems as though you are taking the loss better than I did.
Ren: I'm coping.
Steven: That's good. I see you are still in the training business. Oh! Speaking of which, do you mind if I send out my other pokemon? They love it here.
Ren: Go ahead. A lot of mine are big fans. I'm sure it would give them a thrill.
[Steven sends out his metagross, armaldo, cradily, sandslash, and steelix. They fan out across the cove while Bessemer settles down in the sand by his trainer's side. A little ways behind them down the beach, Tungsten the steelix rocks back and forth trying to sink into the sand.]
Ren: I've actually got a new goal in mind now. I'm going to take the League challenge.
[In the background, Kōtai approaches Steven’s sandslash and marvels at her ice scales, having never seen an Alolan variant before.]
Steven: Oh? That's wonderful news! Gives me something to look forward too.
Ren: Ugh, stop being so suave. [Mild terror flashes over her face as she realizes she said that out loud.]
Steven: [He laughs.] My apologies.
[He waggles his eyebrows. Ren snorts. They both look out at the surf for a bit, Ren to calm her blush. Steven's armaldo and cradily are wading out into the water. Roma and Pohaku swim up to them.]
Pohaku: [to the armaldo] Whoa, what are you?
Armaldo: I’m you but stronger.
[Ren turns back to Steven.]
Ren: So, are you doing okay? It seems like you have a lot on your mind.
Steven: I'm alright, thank you. The whole Magma mystery is just complicating my life quite a bit, as if I didn't have enough on my plate… [He sighs, then seems to come back to himself.] Sorry, didn't mean to complain. [He aims a half smile at Ren.] There are a lot of responsibilities as Champion. Are you sure you want the job?
Ren: [grinning] Positive. And you can totally vent to me. After everything it's really the least I could do.
[Behind her, Kōtai is talking and joking with Steven's sandslash as they share the berries he has collected.]
Steven & Bessemer: Thank you, Ren.
Bessemer: He doesn't take care of himself sometimes. I'm the one who dragged us out here for a break.
[Steven does not react to this at all, so Ren assumes that Bessemer only made the comment to her. She thinks "you're welcome" back. Bessemer winks at her. Just beyond them, Tungsten(steelix) is looking a little dejected. Akahata and Ao walk up to her and after a quick conversation, start burying her the rest of the way.]
Ren: Oh, that reminds me. I have rocks for you. I keep forgetting to give them to you.
Steven: Oh! Rocks always cheer me up.
[He scoots a little closer, looking genuinely excited and Ren can't help but smile at the huge dork. She pulls out her vapor box and starts getting things out of it. She passes the rocks to him one by one as they materialize. Steven gratefully receives each, keeping a running commentary as he examines them.]
Steven: Oh, what a lovely beryl specimen, great structure. This fluorite is such a beautiful color. Bismuth, very nice. A stromatolite! The earliest fossilized form of life. And a meteorite! [He holds it up and Bessemer brings it the rest of the way to their eye with telekinesis so that they can better examine it.] My my, you've been lucky.
Ren: You don't know the half of it.
[She holds out the final stone to him. He goes to take it but then stops.]
Steven: A mega stone. Ren, you don't have to give me this.
Ren: I know, but I want to. Also that isn't the only mega stone I found and I'm keeping the other. Besides, I have good reason to give you that one. Here, just take a closer look.
Steven: [He takes the stone and holds it up to the light, turning it this way and that.] Steelixite? [She grins and nods.] I've only ever seen one other piece. Thank you so much. Tungsten, come over here! Look at what Ren gave us!
[Steven hops up and his steelix reluctantly wriggles out of the sand Akahata and Ao just finished covering her in. She slithers up and peers at the rock before her eyes go wide. She hums excitedly and looks at her trainer. Steven nods and she lets out an even deeper growl and grins, clearly pleased.]
Steven: [turning back to Ren] Well now I am very glad to have run into you. [He offers his hand and Ren takes it. He pulls her to her feet.] Say, would you like to—[He starts and lets go of her hand. Ren looks at him in confusion, but we know what has his attention.]
Latias: [in Steven's head] Steven! Team Magma has found the island. Latios cannot hold them off for long. We need your help. I am coming to you.
Steven: Uh, actually, I forgot I have something I should be doing right now. I should really go.
Ren: O-okay.
Steven: [recalling all of his pokemon, including Damascus] Sorry to leave so suddenly. I—
Latias: [in Steven's head] I sense another trainer with you. Would they help us?
Steven: [to Latias] I'd rather not involve her. She's been through so much already.
Latias: [in Steven's head] Let her decide.
Steven: [to Latias] Latias, please—
[Ren is staring at Steven, totally perplexed by his strange behavior when the air next to him begins to shimmer. Latias materializes next to him and Ren gapes. Steven steps partially between them, arms splayed as if to try and conceal Latias, until he seems to realize the complete futility of his actions. He puts his hands in his pockets.]
Steven: [hissing] Latias!
Latias: [She floats another foot or two towards Ren, completely ignoring Steven's reproach. Her large, golden eyes consider Ren thoughtfully.] So, Steven, who is your friend?
[Ren shivers as Latias touches her mind and sends the thought gently across. When Kata uses telepathy, she feels no more than a nudge, if anything at all. This is wholly different. It is like dropping into a huge and swift-running river or sticking a finger in an electrical outlet. Only she is not swept away or drowned or in pain. She is enveloped but left to be by the immense power that surrounds her, every atom of her body and consciousness buzzing. Latias's presence is somehow calming, and yet Ren still has the sense that she is protected only by Latias's whim and that the pokemon could overwhelm her at any time should she wish to.]
Steven: [He sighs.] Latias, may I introduce Ren Kosugi. Ren, this is Latias, Guardian of the Eons.
[Latias dips her head in greeting, long neck arching gracefully. Ren automatically dips her head back.]
Latias: I sense great power in her. Is she a strong trainer?
[All of Ren's pokemon have stopped what they are doing to watch.]
Steven: Yes, but—
Latias: Then why not ask for her help?
Steven: Please, Latias. I can handle this.
Latias: Don't be arrogant, Steven.
[Steven flushes in embarrassment and looks away. Ren stares at him with a mixture of amusement and disbelief before her eyes flick back to Latias. The Eon Guardian floats up to her and offers her paw. Ren puts her hand in Latias's and Latias places her other paw over it.]
Latias: Ren Kosugi, Team Magma has found the island that is my and my brother's home and are attempting to capture him and steal his soul dew. Will you help us?
[As Latias explains, feelings and images of the events appear in Ren's mind: Latias peering out of the trees to see Team Magma members landing on the beach in a speed boat. Courtney and Blaise approaching a pool in front of a waterfall. Blaise reaching for the soul dew at the bottom of the pool, only for both him and Courtney to be thrown back by Latias's barrier. Courtney and Blaise's pokemon attacking. Latios urging Latias to go while he uses luster purge.]
Ren: [She stares into Latias's eyes for a moment as she takes in all of the information.] Yes. [turning to her pokemon] Are you ready to face Magma again?
Tāraki: Yes!
[Akahata and Ao nod.]
Kōtai: Aye, luv. Let's send those scoundrels packin'!
Pohaku: [flashing his claws in excitement] A battle? I'm ready!
Ren: [turning back to Latias] How will we get there?
Latias: I will take you.
[There is barely enough room on Latias's back for two people, so Ren isn't sure how she is supposed to fly them. But then again the pokemon is floating in midair and is clearly a psychic-type. Ren withdraws her pokemon and Latias crouches on the ground so that the humans can board. Steven settles onto her back with practiced ease and holds out his hand to Ren. She takes it and he guides her to sit with her legs tucked under her on Latias's shoulders just in front of him. He puts on his flight goggles and Ren quickly rummages in her bag and puts on hers.]
Latias: Grip with your knees and hold onto my fur with your hands. We must go very quickly.
Steven: [as they begin to float upward] Latios is not going to like this.
Latias: Don't be ridiculous. He'll love her.
[Latias shoots south across the sky, rapidly accelerating until the ocean is nothing but a blue blur far below them. Steven begins to slip and has to wrap his arms around Ren's waist to stay in place. Ren hardly notices she is so swept up in the sensation of flying. A huge grin splits her face and she whoops and laughs into the rushing air. A cross breeze tries to tear Ren off Latias's back and she struggles to hold on.]
Latias: Lean down over my neck. You will break less wind.
[Ren follows Latias's instructions and is secure once more. Steven is forced to lean into her to stay out of the wind. Ren smiles.]

So, what made you choose the characters (Pokemon?) you did specifically, as well as the ships included? Are they any particular reasons you ship certain characters together and some going single?
Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever been asked this before. I like this question!
This will probably be a long post too, so brace yourself!
+ Sneakpast was chosen as the lead couple because I was originally planning on writing just a one-shot between Greninja and Chesnaught. The last two chapters of BAF were originally meant to be one thing (starting from Greninja and Chesnaught being alone together in Chapter 9), and it was mostly just a couple that I liked from art I found online, so I wanted to try them out for myself. Then I wanted to add details, and asked questions like, “How did they get here? What makes them act this way?”That expanded their roles, what I wanted them to do, and why I fleshed them out more. The idea of a shy ninja and a friendly yet cautious knight seemed cute to me, and these two fit a nice combination. Plus, I was working on my Mario fanfic, ENY, and after having written scenes in Bowser’s Castle, I wanted to spend more time within castles, and medieval stuff in general. So, I just kept up until the story came out as it did. It’s a little harder to tell at the moment, but Sneakpast will remain the lead characters for the series, which I decided to tell in 4 stories. Something about working with this couple clicks nicely.
+ Having two thirds of the Kalos trio without the third would have been foolish, so I immediately knew that one of the first supporting characters would be Delphox. However, I know that a lot of its popularity as a species is…well, based solely on appearance, and even that is out-classed by its prior evolution. (Which was furthered by Pokken Tournament, yay!) Specifically with Delphox, I was kind of bored by the whole “designated female starter” role that it was forced into. So, I determined immediately that Delphox would be a male, and decided to make him annoyed with constantly being seen as a female based only on his appearance. Because I knew I was including him initially to complete my Kalos trio, I decided to leave him single, and basically poke fun at the idea that I made him a third wheel. And I did this twice over, since he can be a third wheel with Gardevoir and Gallade as well, though Gallade would contest that. However, as I was writing out his increased role in the plans for MGR, I wanted to explore some of his feelings regarding being left on his own. He’s too proud to really explore it with anyone, but he’s honestly burdened by being that third wheel. It made a great parallel to how there’s always a Pokemon left behind in the core series, or one that gets less attention than the other two. Coupled with these feelings and others mistaking his gender, Delphox’s bitter personality was easy to develop. There’s more to come going forward with him in particular, so I’m excited to explore him more alongside Sneakpast.
+ My initial thought for writing a medieval fantasy that I fleshed out was to include a king and queen. I didn’t even have to think when my mind immediately gravitated to Nidoking and Nidoqueen, and they were going to be the first characters included in the story behind the Kalos trio. It was a classic, staple pairing that enough people enjoyed. However, I stopped myself before I ever really wrote out their roles. Nidoking/Nidoqueen (RegalShipping) was a common pairing, and a very known one at that. It would be too easy to just slap them in, and I wanted to challenge myself with how I looked at older Pokemon in particular. These two are constantly seen as a couple, but I wanted to know what would happen if something got in the way of that idea. And I liked searching for alternative options, so I did just that for both of them. Between the two, I decided on Nidoking to be the more important, because I did want that senior character that Greninja and Chesnaught could relate to, and if they were a gay couple, I knew that it would be easier for them to go to a male that would be in a relationship with another male himself. So, Nidoking’s prominence won out, and by the time I worked out how that role would be, I realized that Nidoqueen wouldn’t be very important as a character in the beginning. And then it hit me: what if Nidoking and Nidoqueen weren’t separated by choice? That idea had me come up with what will become something harrowing as the series continues: Nidoqueen’s premature death.
+ Rhydon was a Pokemon that I was absolutely set on including as I read up on Pokemon’s history. The first Pokemon created, and it was typically left regulated on the sidelines or left fairly forgotten by the creators and the fandom overall? Not going to fly with me. I knew early on that I wanted his role to be prominent, another that would definitely interact with Sneakpast, and decided to have him as one of the notable roles. Hence why I decided on him becoming a general to the army that both Chesnaught and Greninja worked with. Working on his role along with Nidoking’s made me want them to have a close relationship from the start. As soon as I decided that Nidoking would be without Nidoqueen, it was a really easy transition to Rhydon becoming his new love interest. It fit symbiotically with Nidoking’s role, and having two seniors for the main couple to look to for guidance was especially helpful, as it provided flexibility in what advice they would receive. Rhydon in particular has been fun to develop, because as I continued with writing out the story behind him, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen, I liked having him as the odd one out behind all the stories, loosely reflecting on his should-be prominence for the Pokemon series. Since he was Nidoking’s friend since childhood, I knew that he would be in the castle, and I ultimately made him a butler’s son, which is why he can be so worried about things being perfect with Nidoking, as well as trying to be diligent in his role as a general. After that, I wrote out how his relationship with Nidoking would flow, in that Nidoking would have had a lot of lovers before settling on Nidoqueen, and never having noticed Rhydon’s quiet pining for him as years went by. This is only glossed over at the current part of the stories that I’ve written so far, but there is a lot of underlying tension between DrillShipping to come.
And that’s already 5 (technically 6) characters that I’ve included before the cut, which makes this a super long post. So, time to add in that “read more” label just below this, hooray!
Ok, if you’re eager to know some more about the rest, here goes! And be wary of possible spoilers; I tried to avoid telling them, but no promises!
+ Gardevoir was included as a foil for Delphox. Unlike Delphox, I consider the species to be forever regulated as female, because of a male given evolution in Gallade. So, I liked the idea of her being the one to contrast Delphox in several ways: comfortable with her feminine appearance, enjoys the attention that potential suitors give her, having a particular relationship that gives her a stability that Delphox doesn’t know, and the cheerful disposition to offset Delphox’s bitterness. She would be everything he couldn’t be: secure with herself. And originally, the magic shenanigans the two get into were originally going to be directed at them fighting with one another. However, I didn’t like that Delphox’s foil was going to be such an easily reviled role. And I thought, “What if they were friends?” And then I furthered that idea, in which they wouldn’t hate each other, and that Delphox would be even further in Gardevoir’s shadow because he couldn’t really dislike her. So, instead of being rivals, I made them childhood friends. And instead of being the one thing that she likes to go against, I made Gardevoir’s bigger weakness become Delphox. Any time they weren’t together, she’d feel something missing, and her seemingly perfect life would be incomplete without someone that grounds her more than she’d ever admit.
+ Gallade was part of the packaged deal for Gardevoir always, since I did want at least one pair that would be considered “classic” or “typical” by the audience. Given Gardevoir’s original role, his was easily set as being her perfect boyfriend, and a consistent support role that Delphox would grow to envy never having. Being a higher ranking noble added to perks that Gardevoir would receive, and increased the gap between them and Delphox. Initially, when I switched the role for Gardevoir from rival to friend, I didn’t do much to change Gallade. However, as I continued to work it out, and as I’m writing now, I’ve realized that a fun idea would be a sort of shift between the third wheel balance that rests between this trio. Gardevoir and Delphox’s longtime friendship was something that Gallade never really got to know about them, and matters that concern the two mages typically don’t involve him. Coupled with him not immediately being from the main castle of the kingdom, I liked the idea of him awkwardly trying to fit in with Gardevoir and her friends, which will be more evident as the story continues.
+ Bisharp was one of the first Pokemon I gravitated to when I was selecting knights for the first kingdom. He was an easy fit for the appearance, so that part of his selection was easy. His original role was to be Chesnaught’s loyal friend, basically his go-to ally under all kinds of situations. Readers have seen shades of this in BAF, but it’s effectively gone by MGR. Originally, I was going to have Bisharp be constantly in Chesnaught’s corner. However, when I had finished BAF, I realized that having Bisharp as Chesnaught’s friend wouldn’t really be effective with his falling out of the other knights. After all, he was relatively supportive in BAF, and having him continue that in the second story wouldn’t have made Chesnaught feel like something was lacking; sure, his support with the other knights would have withered, but his main friend would still be there. That didn’t sit right with how I wanted Chesnaught’s position to develop, as I wanted there to be a falling out for him with essentially all of the other knights. So, not even Bisharp would stand by him after he publicly revealed his interest in Greninja. It’s partially reflective of how a gay person in real life doesn’t always keep the friends they have, as some are just too ignorant to understand. Furthermore, I liked having two characters that were friends suddenly not be anymore, because that’s kind of a rift that happens universally with people in life. His contrast with Lilligant, who ends up being that loyal friend to Chesnaught, is something that’s bubbling in MGR. And his role will be increased in the third story, so expect to see more of him.
+ Lilligant was part of the original story, as the female love interest that Greninja assumed Chesnaught was interested in. Her role was originally going to be as simple as that, being another friend of Chesnaught’s that was supportive of him and understanding of his romantic interests. Contrasting Bisharp from the beginning, she was the calmer friend, the one that would really listen to Chesnaught when he needed. It was a role that she could provide that Bisharp couldn’t, as a civilian character wouldn’t need to concentrate as deeply on training or combat, and therefore could take more time to spend with her friend. Greninja would see her as a rival for Chesnaught’s affections, to which she was never interested in to begin with. This role was carried through my development, which is how she appeared in BAF. Continuing the story, I wanted Lilligant to be utilized more, and I thought I was going to be satisfied by making her a counter to Bisharp. Whereas he would waver in his friendship, Lilligant would become more supportive to Chesnaught. As I was writing up plans for MGR, I realized that her role as a civilian would be interesting to have, but made little sense if I continued to have her in the story. After all, what place would a town girl have when an army goes marching? It has been done before, and having her tag along could be played logically, with enough thought. But I didn’t like her just being a cheerleader on the sidelines, and wanted her to have an active role, even if she’s out of place in fighting. So, as I worked out the continuing story, Lilligant would become a member of the army, though rather unofficially for now. Her romantic interests are something that I’ve hinted at through her appearance in MGR, but will finally get attention in the third story.
+ Typhlosion was originally the bully of the lot, as he was in BAF. After I settled on the kingdom being mostly reflective of the Grass and Bug types, I liked having a Fire type as one that picks on those weaker around him, because of obvious type advantages. The roster that appears around him reflects this, as he has an advantage against: Chesnaught, Escavalier, Accelgor, Scizor, and Heracross, with Lilligant and other civilians being bonus targets. Coincidentally, Bisharp was also an easy target for him, leaving him in a powerful position prior to Greninja’s arrival. However, I didn’t like the idea of a character just being mean for fun, and wanted there to be depth behind his actions. Furthermore, I didn’t like Typhlosion having a higher position from the other knights just because of that type advantage, as it wouldn’t feel like he ever earned it. Instead, I shifted his role as one that others wouldn’t respect much at all, since he was so crass and annoying, as well as lazy by relying on his Fire typing to help him win battles against them. By the time BAF was written out, he ended up as something of that bully role, but a far cry from being so effective against those he should easily outclass. This, however, is being traded off in favor of a more complicated role in MGR. When I decided against keeping Bisharp on Chesnaught’s side, and creating the rift between the knights, I was originally going to keep that throughout for the knights. But, I was writing Typhlosion’s role, which was literally on a 1:1 comparison to Chesnaught’s at that point. And I thought, “Well, I could have him continue to be that foil…or, I could do what I wanted to do earlier on.” What I wanted to do later with Typhlosion was prove that he wasn’t such a bad guy after all, and that he would befriend the others later in the series. But as a fellow outcast from the knights, it was easy to have him upgrade his role early on, and he quickly fit into the main group. His love interests will be explained by the end of MGR, which have mostly been identified by the audience. His other issues will continue to be addressed in the third story, as he’s far from done with them. Though, expect his role as a bully to have basically evaporated.
+ Samurott came to be after I realized that I wanted two things: a friend for Greninja, and a foil to both Chesnaught and Typhlosion. When I decided that Typhlosion wasn’t going to be very respected among the knights, Samurott’s role was easily upgraded to counter it. As a Fire type that floundered in an environment that favored his typing, I liked the idea of a Water type that would excel in an environment that went against his typing. His relationship as Typhlosion’s foil wasn’t going to net him much attention, so I wanted to make him one with Chesnaught as well. Hence, he’s more forward with his thoughts and desires than Chesnaught ever could be, and him being terrible at keeping secrets to contrast with Chesnaught’s keeping his sexuality a secret. Plus, he’s held a bit above the other knights due to his proficient skills, whereas Chesnaught’s favoritism comes from his friendliness, so that only adds to their differences. One thing I wanted to contrast between his relationship to Chesnaught and Typhlosion was that Samurott actually liked Chesnaught, whereas he wouldn’t be very kind around Typhlosion (if you haven’t guessed yet, that idea had quickly fallen apart). His biggest relationship, however, I wanted to be with Greninja. Very early, I was just going to make him the equivalent to Bisharp, being Greninja’s loyal friend in spite of anything. I liked the idea of him being from a foreign kingdom, and that having Greninja around would make him feel less isolated with the other knights, finding someone so similar to him. However, as I was writing, I liked the spot of tension that originally came from their meeting, in which Greninja was originally annoyed by Samurott’s sudden assistance with an issue, though quickly quelled by the samurai’s kindness and appearance. Considering that he wasn’t in a relationship with Chesnaught at the time, I liked that Greninja would have other crushes on knights, and Samurott to be the lead of them next to Chesnaught. But, what I grew to like more, was Samurott’s own interests in Greninja, and a struggle between being friends and something more. So, he was the one that pushed having romantic feelings for Greninja instead, who had literally just barely missed the chance to have had a relationship with Samurott, ultimately because of Samurott’s hesitation. As the story continues, Samurott still harbors feelings for Greninja, but he will continue to choose between wanting the ninja as his lover or if he’ll be satisfied with him as a friend. His feelings of being isolated in a crowd are slightly expanded, and provides a new way that he can relate to others with such feelings. The end of MGR will explore where that’s going, and the third story will have him confront his overall messy relationships.
+ Accelgor is Greninja’s partner ninja, and a friend of his. Her relationship with Escavalier is one that I wanted to try out, in which a married couple would be around with the main cast. I haven’t immediately gotten to everything that I have wanted to with her, so I can’t explain much here yet. Accelgor and Escavalier will have increased roles in the third story, so I’m holding off on both of them. Her pairing with Escavalier was my initial attempt at developing a relationship behind Pokemon that concerned trade evolutions, and I thought they’d be the best to start with. Married couples are something that are typically lacking in romance stories, so I wanted one that would be around for the duration, and one that wasn’t immediately regulated into a “parents only” role. She will have shades of that in her role, but I consider her as more of an aunt or older sister to Greninja. Escavalier is the other half to the relationship, and he’ll play into somewhat of an uncle figure to Chesnaught and Greninja. He’s an expert knight, but kind of bumbles around with his relationship to his wife, which is seen in BAF. He means well, and he wants his wife to be happy above all else. He’s another senior to the knights, and though younger than Nidoking and Rhydon, he’s certainly up there in age with them, with Accelgor herself not being very far behind. His character will be developed more in the third story as well, but his relationship with Accelgor will be probably the most stable among every other couple featured in the story.
+ Scizor was intended to be the cool and collected knight on the roster, which is noticeable from his original appearance in the first chapter of BAF. He’s quick to dismiss Typhlosion’s attempts to get into a fight with newcomers, and doesn’t get pressured into it. He was mostly left forgotten after that, however, as his role wasn’t really meant to be explored in the first story. Because of Typhlosion’s role shift, as well as the knights forsaking Chesnaught because of his romantic interests, Scizor was left as more a defacto leader among his fellow knights. He’s struggling to keep his allies focused on coming threats, and because he’s not a fan of homosexuality, he seems to have absorbed Typhlosion’s role as a bully for the duration of MGR. This, however, will not remain, as Scizor’s role will become all the more clear as the story continues. Unlike the other characters, his primary relationship will not be a romantic one. This will begin by the end of MGR, and will continue through in the third story.
+ Armaldo is one of two lackey type of knights, and the more frequently occurring of them. He’s a bit more uneasy under pressure, and typically folds when one of the other knights pressure him. Though he means well with his intentions, he’s still prone to making bad choices, such as teaming with Typhlosion against the new ninjas in BAF, and following Scizor’s bigotry in MGR. In the third and fourth stories, he’ll learn some new things about himself. Heracross is the other lackey between the two, and has less prominence. I liked the idea of a scout and messenger role for each kingdom, and I liked Heracross as one for Nidoking’s kingdom. So, unlike Armaldo, he’s more comfortable with being used by others, and can even roll along with it. Among the cast overall, he’s been the least developed character, and likely will remain that way for the four stories. Though, he will have more to do than just tag along, so expect more for him.
+ Golurk was a fun concept that I wanted to try out. I like the idea of a giant character around, and being physically out of place compared to the other characters that only feel like they’re out of place. He’s not going to have the same dynamic as any other character, again not motivated by love interests, and will speak less than most overall. Though his role seems like it will be a utility, he’ll have much more to work with in the third story, and a very critical role in the fourth. Golurk is basically going to be the sleeper character that seems like he’s just there, but will have more revealed by the end of it all.
+ Other characters beyond this core group are minor comparatively in the kingdom, at least for now. Their roles are regulated to their supportive roles, and will serve more to help other characters develop or to help advance the plot. However, among those introduced, there are at least two among them that are planned to have their roles expanded and fully realized in the third story. Each first appeared in MGR, as a slight hint.
= The very first thing that I wanted from the Iceberg Empire was a couple that would relate to Chesnaught and Greninja. I wanted a pair that could both be worse and better than Sneakpast. So, I knew right away that I wanted two characters who would start as friends, have a harsh fallout, and ultimately return to one another as lovers. I went over Pokemon that I liked, and picked out Machamp and Alakazam. Since I hadn’t explored the trade relationship for Accelgor and Escavalier, I decided that another aspect of that would be good. I also really wanted a pair that featured one half as really strong, and the other as really smart. When I was developing them, I figured it was a cliche duo that had been written before, and figured that someone, somewhere, surely featured such a basic, cookie-cutter pairing that’s literally been around since Generation 1 of Pokemon. You can only imagine my initial dismay when I found that this was a couple that essentially no one had thought of before. Suddenly, I became very excited by having chosen the two together, as they would be an easy couple to roll into, and one that no one ever paid any mind to before. They fit the role that compared and contrasted to Sneakpast better than I could have ever imagined. Readers have seen Alakazam and Machamp’s shaky relationship at its worst already, and theyve seen the two get together and become happier. What’s coming up is how well they will work together.
= Empoleon as the Iceberg Emperor was an easy choice. Penguin for the arctic region with the word “emperor” as part of his name. Slam dunk simplicity at its finest. As the second leader to be introduced between the four major kingdoms, I wanted him to have similarities and differences to Nidoking. Both are wise, and present a fair amount of wisdom to share with their soldiers. Both, however, are also open to learning from their soldiers as well. Yet, I wanted this to be contested, in which Empoleon wouldn’t be as easily swayed or as open as Nidoking. So, he would be a lot more firm with his soldiers, and though open to learn from them, he would be more distant. Unlike Nidoking, who tackles situations head-on and lives in the present, Empoleon is more of a strategist, wanting to be thinking of the future and being steps ahead of his adversaries. This combination wired him for a relationship that would see a reactionary development to Nidoking’s own misfortunes, in which he would hide away his wife so as to not face the same sorrows that Nidoking barely made it through. As MGR continues, he’ll soften to his soldiers still, and continue to teach Greninja and Chesnaught more about the world overall. He’s a nice teacher role, and he has hopes to see his wife and child again. So far, with Mewtwo not being the Prophet of legend, things seem to be going his way…
= Abomasnow continues my trend of choices based on environment. Big, massive, angry yeti-tree. Sounds like the ideal general figure for the Empire to me! Reflecting Empoleon’s contrasts to Nidoking, Abomasnow’s personality develops to contrast with Rhydon. Unlike Rhydon, who is warmer toward his knights in spite of needing to be their leader, Abomasnow is harsh, dolling out punishments where he sees fit, and looking to root out the weakest on his line-up as opposed to making weak links stronger. Like Rhydon, he has favorites based on similarities to him, and likes his strong bear soldiers, as well as Golduck. Though he has a very tough exterior, he does care about his knights deep down. His development in a strict but cold personality was developed because he’s already lost soldiers under his guidance, and he’s more than fed up with it before the Kalos trio even arrived. A tough love kind of character, he’s slowly letting his guard down again after the incident of the Frozen Fields and the discovery of Mewtwo. He’s just…not quite as soft about it.
= Froslass was originally intended to be Alakazam’s answer to Delphox’s Gardevoir, in terms of a giggly and cheery mage partner. However, since his main relationship is focused on Machamp, and the pair would become foils to Sneakpast, there was little room for Froslass to be Alakazam’s friend. Instead, she ended up playing this role with Weavile, who is actually a lot less open with her friendship to Froslass than Delphox and Gardevoir are to each other. This is to be furthered by the next chapter of the story. Essentially, Froslass struggles with being so distant from her comrades, but buries her insecurities through fun and a jubilant attitude. She has a desire to get closer with others, but typically fails at this, either scaring them off, or otherwise just outright not understanding them. After the incident in the Frozen Fields, however, she has a stronger desire than ever to close such gaps.
= Weavile came from my desire to have a collected character on the roster again, and this time follow through with that. Unlike the other timid characters, she’s completely removed from her social companions, and typically stands away from the crowd. She yearns to be closer and has a desire to fit in, but fails to follow through with it. As a result, she has become distant entirely, with her lack of social skills only fueled by her role on the Iceberg Army as the archer. Though she’s totally out of place in a crowd, Weavile is learning how to get together with her companions. She was the most recent to arrive prior to Alakazam and Machamp, who were already friends. Her role is like Delphox’s in being a third wheel type. She does, however, interact with Froslass, being the only two females on the core line-up of the Iceberg army. With Froslass’s overall personality, this will be explored in the next chapter of MGR.
= Carracosta is a character that I haven’t revealed much on yet because his role is more important to the second act of MGR. He’s showcased as a pessimist and a realist to contrast Mienshao, who’s a bit more into optimism and playfulness. His mysterious relationship will put him more into the spotlight, coming in the chapter after the next for MGR. This, however, was the source of his distancing between himself and the other soldiers.
= Mienshao, on the other hand, will also have more of his personality explored in the next chapter, so I won’t say much on him. Like Delphox, I wanted a Pokemon that’s typically considered female to be revealed as a male character, and providing Delphox with someone he never had in the Grass Fields Kingdom: an equal. There’s more to say on that, and Mienshao will have a prominent role during the second act of MGR. He’s more playful than he lets on, and likes making up proverbs that relate to current events. There is something a bit sinister about his grin, however, which unnerves his companions. Because of it, he became a bit avoided by the others whenever possible.
= Golduck was a knight on the Iceberg roster that was also introduced as Greninja’s ex-boyfriend. I picked him as being more of an elite member of the knights, and kind of owed it to him being a bird, which automatically means he gets along well with Empoleon. His relationship with Greninja explores the sour side of a gay relationship, being the first boyfriend Greninja ever had, and having not so great of an ending. As for why I picked Golduck? Honestly, the anime did it. His appearance long ago as that flirty duck that fought for Misty specifically because he liked battling for cute girls? That made me think of Golduck as this lecher forever. So, he was a double automatic first choice as the high ranking knight and the first ex-lover to be introduced.
= Delibird is basically Heracross’s equivalent to the Iceberg Empire, and wraps his role with Armaldo’s from the first story into one composite character. A messenger and yes-man to both Empoleon and Golduck’s orders, he’s ever the follower more than anyone else. Unlike the Grass Field equivalents, however, Delibird has a distinct refusal to participate in on Golduck’s shenanigans, typically only consoling his superior after his failures and giving him at least one ally to lean on, rather than partaking on his schemes. Delibird is nice and means well, but bumbles about with his role entirely.
= Poliwrath and Politoed are my first attempt to writing characters in the Pokemon fanfics that have a different relationship to focus on besides romance and friendship, with their relationship established as brothers. They’ll have more about them revealed in the next chapter for MGR as well, so I won’t say much here. Just expect them to have this perpetual rift about them, and constantly bicker with one another. More on them another time, since…well, hey, I’ve got to keep some cards up my sleeves.
= Beartic, Pangoro, and Ursaring are my first attempt at a polyamory relationship. They’re a crass version of it, typically not caring what others think, and represent divides between cultures when they initially shock Greninja and Chesnaught, and when they continue to disrupt the common life of Grass Fields. They’re not exactly nice, but they’re not totally mean either…well, Pangoro’s not the nicest, but I digress. Their role continues with another chapter in MGR, but it’s mostly set to help establish another trio in the third story.
= Mewtwo isn’t going to have much given yet, since his role evolves with the story. (Pun intended.) I will say that I am intentionally trying to make him softer than his usual depictions, which typically include him being power hungry, cold, calculating, aloof, and is described as “savage” and basically heartless by the Pokedex descriptions themselves. That idea for Mewtwo is what most are used to, so I want to give him something less common to go by. He’s going to be something of an amateur compared to the rest of the cast, but retains his power, meaning that he’s got a lot of potential that he doesn’t quite know what to do with. Most importantly, he’s going to be caring and kind, contrary to what most depictions feature him as. He will have two important relationships to explore and develop for the third and fourth stories.
= Lucario is another character I can’t talk much about yet, but another that I’m going against what is considered the typical depiction. Most often, Lucario is something of a heroic type, usually kind of a general token good-guy type of Pokemon that appears. (No, I didn’t fight Gladion yet, so shut your mouth with those spoilers.) He’s…you know what? Saying anything else will spoil him too much. He’s going to be important as the story continues.
= Zoroark is part of Lucario’s team, and therefore I can’t say much. If you know him well enough, you can put together the kind of role he’ll have coming up.
= Flygon is the other part of Lucario’s team. I wanted to feature a Dragon and wanted one before my third story. He’s in a relationship with Zoroark mostly as a “thank you” to a friend of mine, honestly.
= Other characters that have appeared so far will probably be less in the story, and have less of an overall impact compared to the side characters in BAF. However, there are more to appear, and more that will have a great role to play in the second act of MGR, so stay tuned.
Phew! Long response. Thank you for asking that one! This is something that I look forward to coming back to when the series ends, but I’d love to clarify the characters for MGR, so that’ll be fun to revisit too.

Prabhakar Singh: The game is awesome. amazing maps and adventurous campaign missions. for Multiplayer matches, it can be improved more. I’d love if they introduce a new option in setting controls, i.e rearranging the tapping points for the trigger, grenade, Crouch, etc on the screen. Thank you…
Sarah Abdullah: Awesome Game! Like this is an awesome game! My 7-year-old brother loves this game and also askes me to always play it on my phone. The downside is that I feel like this game should be for everyone! Besides this problem… Awesome Game!
Ardel Balaoro: I really love this game. for me everything is perfect the graphics, control so easy and nice story. I just want to ask a favor please allow this game to play in an offline mode. please…
Devin Smith: great game good graphics but when the last update came out today it had a flaw…. on April 19, 2019, when the new update came out when I want to go play multiplayer it won’t let me it says that my connection was lost but I didn’t have bad internet at the time.
Stalfos19: Gameplay is fun. A good variety of weapons and armors. The controls are good but the controller support needs work. This game recently came to Nintendo Switch. is the Battle Royale coming to the Switch as well?
Ayush Bhatt: The game is the best game I’ve ever played The graphics are very good. But the chapters required so many stars to open. This made the game difficult for me. Also, I became bored playing the same levels again and again for collecting stars. Thus, for this reason, I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
Renga nathan S: This game is awesome and I am very excited while playing this game. This game has good graphics in weapon detail. And the other graphics also very good. This game more weapons so it increased the rate of playing. No fix in this game, but very hard to get a blueprint of a weapon so plz make it easy It will increase your rate of plays. Another good work is multi-player have increased the game in the first TPS. Thank you.
Basheer vi: Best Shooting Game. I love to play this game please make it offline soon. My Island has a low speed of internet. So make it offline it will help more gamers to play like me. I don’t want it fully offline but you need to add offline story mode too. And also online multiplayer for fastest network users. Thank you.😍😍😍😍
Charles Parr: I have been playing this game since 2013. Its a great game with awesome graphics. With that being said, I am very disappointed with this latest update. The app keeps disconnecting and when I do manage to keep a stable connection I can’t play multiplayer because it is stuck at 64% downloading map data. I hope the developers fix this soon. I have a lot of money invested in armors, weapons, etc!
kalo tamanikaiyaroi: Bbest graphical game so far. The 3/4d is amazing. The multiplayer freezes sometimes. Control needs a combo mode, knife is not available to new players and support staff should be buyable with in game cash, gold, and coins. The game sometimes freezes at the end of a match mostly multiplayer. Campaign mode the game always verify files and starts download all over, even when opening the app. Boosted mode is most of the time freezing in-game, after and when count down to start. Almost like PS4 on mobile.
Tboy Brima: The game is fun. Unlocking weapons is satisfying and they give a nice amount of free credits. The controls are very wonky. Too difficult to aim even when I use a gamepad. Sensitivity is on either side of the spectrum of being too low or too high. Higher tier weapons are very overpowered. Developers need to finetune the controls and gameplay.
Harsh Kumar: graphics of the game are awesome!! and player abilities too. I think the game needs improvement in the multiplayer battlefield where support feature should show the air strike for the team which has done it. Another thing is that the rocket launcher should also show the rocket movement and explosion. lastly hats off! to the game creators and their great work.
Mohit Kothari: One of the best FPS games that I have played to date. Graphics and Controls are also good but I’m facing an issue in the middle of the game. I have completed 6 chapters perfectly but the games is unable to unlock chapter 7. Please reply if you guys have any solution.
Arun Sarkar: It’s a very perfect game for me, well game. But I have a problem, that many players accidentally buys some things in one click which they don’t need just like me. Please add an option so that at least 2/3 of it(The contents used to buy that thing) be given back to players within at least 10mins. Please do it please, my only request. Plzzzzz
Unique Guy: the game graphics is incredible for me…this is the best mobile graphics game I played in my whole life but this game is short..means one game takes only 2 minutes to complete a mission..so the makers of the game can look into this matter so they can beat the record of pubg..last but not the least the makers can also put a map on this game..otherwise the graphics and the concept is really nice…
Adam DuHame: This is the best fps I can find on my Chromebook that has plug and play controller support. Mechanics are decent although there does tend to be a bit of lag during intense battle and scope aiming is a bit choppy. Relies on microtransactions which give me a vague feeling of dystopian corporate hell, like I’m playing an advertisement. I wish there was an option to just pay full price for a title and then get emersed in it without it trying to stell my stuff. All that said – still pretty fun.
Ensabahnur514: It’s a good game, great gameplay but multiplayer is a nightmare for new players and it shows way too many ads it constantly asks you do you want to watch a video for free credits or do you want to buy a supply drop, and then after a while it just automatically shows you videos without any reward. Campaign is fun though but I would suggest playing through it before going to multiplayer so you don’t get absolutely crushed. Overall it’s an okay game but it needs to be balanced out in multiplayer.
A Google user: The best game for lovers of shooting and survival games. It’s even better than PUBG and Freefire. The multiplayer mode is best but I don’t like the Battle Royal. It can be even more realistic and better.

Review Response, May 26 - June 1, 2019
Another week, this one with the Legacy update. ... Though that was technically last week...
Legacy #007
1) I'm so excited to see were this will go poor moon and sun I can't wait to see what will happen. Also I can't wait to see what you'll have for moon's full team
Poor Sun... he wasn’t even in the chapter. Haha... What I’ll have for Moon’s full team? I’m waiting for her to fill up her canon team before I overhaul it.
2) Um, holy sh*t that was brutal
Perhaps it was. Hehe...
3) Why you gotta do moon like that feelsbadman
Hey, now. I said I was going to set Moon on fire in Legacy from a LONG time ago. Like... back when I was going through my Ultra Moon version. What is the reason behind Moon getting an attire overhaul? Her previous clothes burnt off. That’s why. Heh.
4) Firstly, the scene at Red's living room at night was adorable. Poor Y, so lonely... (actually, not really) And secondly, damn! That was so f*cking brutal! Oh god, please let Sun, Moon and Lillie be OK! Can't WAIT for the next chapter!
I'm also really anxious about the enemy's next plans and (hopefully) Blue's confession.
Hehe. Poor Y, just stuck in the middle of three couples. Damn it, X!! Hehe...
I like how absolutely everyone thinks that it’s Sun. Sun hasn’t appeared in Legacy yet. He’s not the one synonymous with “malasada”. So Sun is FINE. Moon is in the top 5 favorites thus will be able to walk this off. Lillie... is expendable.
... And Blue’s confession didn’t fit in the chapter thus it was postponed. Drat.
5) Things sure did heat up in this chapter and quickly. If there’s going to be platinum possibly in a icey situation next, then would y follow this trend of top favourites with something related to lightning/dragons or endangering the whole group? After that would leave us with red and blue hmmmm?sorry just some speculations
Anyways this story is one of my faves so keep the good work up!
This chapter was hot! It sure heated up! Aha...ha... ... Ahem. ... What, you speculating on some elemental shenanigans? Or... I guess types, given Pokemon. Heh. ... Nah. Y’s Dragon shenanigans has to wait until her Dragons fully evolve... soon.
And thanks!
6) Oh God, how do you even survive a direct hit from a Fire Blast? Hopefully Toxapex managed to get out somehow or at least the dex-holders and Lillie survived in some way (I don't think you'd kill them fast, though, but I just hope "lifelessly" was just an adjective as opposed to what I'd rather it didn't mean). Look at that, X can get jealous after all, huh? And poor Platina..glad she at least has Dia for some emotional support.
Now I really wanna see Dia floor those thugs. Awesome writing as always and can't wait for the next chapter!
Well, you usually don’t. But if you’re in the top 5 of my favorites, your durability increases!! Hehe... ... This was a glancing shot, I guess?? Sun is not in the fire, so he’s fine. Moon is... well, in the top 5. Lillie is expendable. And the guy who literally everyone mistook as Sun is equally expendable. ... Hell, even more, since I like Lillie more than that guy.
Yes, X will get jealous! He better be nicer to Y and fast before he loses her!! Hehe... And yes, Platinum has Diamond for emotional support as always. Her sweet Diamond. Her one. Hehe... ... Oh, Pearl’s there too.
With Diamond and Pearl using new/updated teams, they shall be quite the formidable force, enough to wallop any thugs who attempt to hurt their Lady! Her true knights!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Destiny #002
1) I FUCKING KNEW IT. I NEVER TRUSTED THIS PETER BITCH FROM THE MOMENT I SAW HIM. Anyways, it's been a long time since I've reviewed, but here I am! Ugh, let me tell you, your stories five me life. I was so engaged that I wasn't even paying attention to the screaming, whirring, and the song I was listening to. Your writing was very smooth, like always, and it definitely did not feel like anything was rushed. Even though you put in three different stories in the same chapter. I am curious though, as to how they all tie together. Because now it seems that the only stories that might go together are Blue's and Y's stories, but then you wouldn't add in Platinum's for no reason. Unless... this vacation she goes on is to Kalos... If so, you are definitely very clever. Now, I think it was Mac who spoiled this for me. He said there were going to be deaths and I want to ask you, "HOW COULD YOU?." This is going to make me cry as I am already really invested in the story because your plot and writing is just so damn good. And honestly, even if you make me cry, you are a blessing and I would not be able to live without this. Thank you so very much.
I’m glad you’re really enjoying my stories, Mel! The multiple “stories”, as you put it, are to show the Dex Holders doing their own things before they all converge together. For Platinum, it shows her enjoying her life and time with her friends in a very sweet and cute setting!!
... Is the fact that the story will have deaths really a spoiler? ... Well, I guess if you never fully read my non-compilation stories (SA, Destiny, Legacy), then... I suppose. Oh, don’t worry. Destiny won’t make you cry as hard as SA would. Huhuhu...
I look forward to seeing more!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Destiny #003
1) I keep forgetting to put my name on these things dammit. Anyways, by the time I realized I hadn't left a review for this chapter, I was already on the next. That is how engrossed I was. But moving on to other matters, reading this chapter really took a toll on me, form the beginning to X and Y, realizing from your oh so subtle hint that Platinum was going to be a victim of this dude, to Diantha being defeated. It's tough, 'cause you're good at causing grief. Consider that a compliment from me because I find that a very useful talent (but I'm still cursing you for it). I have a feeling the other dexholders will be in this fic, so I am actually really curious as to how they all fit into this story. It would be great to see my babies once again. And with the way you write I find that they're not OOC like in other fics. That is very difficult to do as I'm sure you know, and I applaud you for that as well. Something I have noticed tho, is you haven't outright said that the enemy in this story is the Peter we met earlier. And that makes me wonder because naturally one would think that it would be Peter. But hmmmm, could it all be a misunderstanding? I don't think so, but it's a possibility. Anyways, its been a pleasure to read your work (like always) and I greatly appreciate you writing this!
Interesting to think that this chapter took a toll on you already. If THIS takes a toll on you... huhuhu... ... I mean, what? And yes, the others will be in the story. ... I think Destiny has everyone in it except for the BW2 cast and SM since Generation VII didn’t exist at the time. Destiny began when the XY arc had started, hence X and Y’s teams not being full or fully evolved. Your “babies” will have their moments in glory!
And thank you!! I was hoping to get your review for the next chapter before I made this post, but damn. Well, that response will have to be next week then. ... On Sunday the 9th, though since I’ll be gone for all of Saturday. So you have 8 days to cram in as many Destiny reviews as you can!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DE #001
1) SPOILER WARNING FOR BW2
HES BACK! Now we need a chapter about it
Kind of late spoiler given the clusterf*ck that’s been going on since the update, but... heh. Yes, he’s back. Hell, it’s about time. Now, a chapter about it... well... I have one in mind that I’ll be working on... eventually. No doom though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heart #003
1) HOLY CRAP I love this fic so much? Haughtyshipping is my favorite (followed by commonershipping) so I’m so happy I found a work so well written and thorough!
Thank you! ... Well then. Thanks to you, I might have to update this story once more before this year ends.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heart #004
1) Heh. That was pretty devious of White. I kind of want Y to find out what she did just to see her reaction. Then again, she'd probably kill White even if she is her senior.
Pearl's being quite sneaky. I wonder if Diamond will catch on to what Pearl's doing once he notices all of the extra clothes Pearl brought. He isn't the smartest of the dexholders, but he would be quite perceptive of anything that involves Platinum like that.
I'm sure the time at the villa will be a fun read, and I look forward to it.
Well, Short Story - The Feast is basically what happened in this chapter, except with the focus on the lunch, and White’s revenge. And in that one, since the “issues” of Heart is not present, the focus is all on White and Y. And Y does find out in the end that it was all bullsh*t. And thus vows vengeance. And so the infinite cycle of revenge begins again.
Oh Diamond will notice what Pearl is doing immediately when he shows up in the villa, and then doesn’t leave. Now the issue will be to hide their conflict from Platinum. ... But will he succeed with that?
2) AAHH this chapter was so cute! I love the female dex holders getting to hang out— so sweet! I’m so excited for the next chapter, too:). Amazing work!
Oh, I love writing interactions with the younger female Dex Holders. ... Especially since three of them are in the top 5 favorite Dex Holders... And thank you!

Review Response, June 30 - July 6, 2019
Another week, this one with a DE update (Discord Collaboration Event) that happened... well, yesterday.
I was going to make this post much earlier, but the FF website was being dumb.
Legacy Prologue - Kanto
1) Don’t mind me, just a random review to let you know that people still read Legacy. But while I’m here, I just wanna say to the people reading the Review Response: POST A REVIEW ON LEGACY IF YOU READ IT SO THAT THE SERIES CAN CONTINUE FASTER
... While I appreciate the thought, but posting a review for the very first chapter does the opposite of what you are trying to do. It’s already a downhill trend. If you raise the higher points higher, the downhill trend just becomes steeper.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Legacy #007
1) Where’d you go? There hasn’t been an update in almost a month?
Yeah, it’s been like a month, but... I think the Legacy Hiatus can go a few more months. Let’s see 1 update per every 4 months, hmm?
2) I love this story so much I really hope moon, lillie and hau are ok and if platinum will recover from her experience with the shadow net.
I can't wait for the next chapter
... Shadow net? ... Heh. I guess you can consider the currently concealed enemy as Legacy’s version of SA’s ShadowNet? But without the comedic silliness and failure.
3) OUCH. Putting moon and a boy on fire is horrifying. I think Lillie too. Never thought people would almost kill anyone just to get that Pokedex.
I put Moon, a boy, and Lillie on fire. So yes. I already said a long time ago that I was going to set Moon on fire. I followed through with that promise. Yes, you wouldn’t think that people will go that far to get a Rotom Dex given how annoying it is, but... useful for their goals.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
And with that, Legacy’s chart now looks like this. It’s still a downhill trend. But just a few more to the last chapter and the trend will look different.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Destiny #013
1) I'm so sorry that this review is so late! I sorta got caught up watching a three hour movie with my family and then fell asleep reading this not because it was boring but because I tend to fall asleep while doing things. Anyways, I kid you not, when Blue asked the big question (the question I've been asking since the very beginning) I stg I leaned in closer. Like, that was the very moment that I had been waiting for the entire time! And it was just causally thrown in and took me by surprise. And tbh, I didn't expect that answer. He's trying to restore certain pokemon to their full power... well I doubt he's doing it to be nice. He's obviously going to use that power for something else. I can't believe Blue just took that answer as a satisfactory one when it's so vague. But I guess she didn't really do it for information, but whether to see if he trusted her or not. Well, he passed the test.
Speaking of that moment, I was also surprised to see that Blue could still think. Was she still brainwashed? Or even when under his control can you still think thoughts you would even when he isn't of control over you? Welp, who knows. But it also makes me wonder if the scouts have that same thing. What were they thinking when they were attacking the dexholders? Or maybe Blue is just really strong in those regards and this could somehow mean that in the future Blue will break her hold because of that strength. Hmm a lot to ponder indeed.
Also, Diamon was so sweet. I know they all are when it comes to the person they like, but like goddammit Dia. You're killing me. And, like, it wasn't even that much, but just his concern for Platinum was great. Though, X is a little bitch ngl. There Y is, all hurt and afraid, and doesn't even speak to her (unless he did and I just forgot?). But what can you expect? I guess not that.
I feel like this review is a little short compare to the others, but I suppose that's because this chapter is shorter than the others. But you are right when you said that in order to compensate for that, you gave us valuable info! It gave me more questions than answers, but still the little insight into Peter's plan was nice. Though as for what he plans in doing with Blue... I feel like he would do something more with her than just sending her to fight the dexholders. It would be such a waste to send someone as important as her to just fight them, when he already has an advantage. Maybe he plans on sending her as a spy? I mean, he already tried that, but that didn't work out as well as he expected, But it still did the job so I guess maybe not. Hmm or maybe he'll use her somehow, not to defeat the dexholders, but to restore the power to the pokemon. Unless the whole reason for restoring the pokemon's power is to defeat the dexholders, But that seems rather silly, because he could just do that on his own.
Anyways, I read your review response and while it does take a long time to write these reviews, I very much enjoy writing them so I will continue lmao.
Thank youuuuuuuuuu
And you’re back! For just one chapter this week, it seems. Yep. Trying to restore certain Pokemon to full power. That was me trying to jump the gun on the third Kalos game which never existed for some reason. Damn it. Oh well. At least Generation VII gave the Zygarde formes.
Well, Blue is not brainwashed. It’s more like... instead of just completely controlling her, she’s getting more aggressive thoughts and prompts in her mind. She was already distressed, and the subtle “nudges” towards the darker thoughts prompted her aggressive response. As for the other FULL mind controls... you will see.
Diamond is so sweet. Especially when it comes to Platinum. Hehehe... And for X... he’s not really the vocal type when it comes to things like this. It’s usually Y trying to cheer him up, and making sure that he’s okay, not the other way around. So... he doesn’t really know what to do. ... Poor Y...
While it certainly wouldn’t hurt to spy on an enemy that you can already easily crush, it’s not all that necessary. That said, disruption can come in many forms. Hehehe...
I look forward to seeing your future reviews!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
And Destiny now looks like this. Still up and down and up and down and... And this won’t be changing from just ONE person reading and reviewing, of course. ... That said, every time I look at this chart, that (38, 5) is REAL freaking annoying.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DE #033
1) YAY! New update :) I was wondering what was taking so long for one but after reading this now I know. :) Can’t wait for more :)
Well, this wasn’t the only thing that was causing a delay in all the other chapters. But at least I was working on something in the meantime, eh?
2) MORE. MOREEEEEE! More cute black/white chapters. I neeeed theeem
And you shall get them. ... Later, and depending on the outcome of this chapter.
3) PLEASE GREEN OR SILVER REVIVAL FOR SCRAMBLED! :D
... The biggest reason why these two are not in any pairings is because of how freaking awkward or boring they are in a relationship. And you want me to pair them up with people they haven’t even met yet, thus removing canon histories from their interactions? Once again, I cannot keep these two REMOTELY in character and have such a chapter to work.
4) Aww, this was so cute! I've always loved Agency, even though I haven't quite read that arc yet lol. Seeing them happy together just brings a smile to my face :D The next chapter coming up seems interesting, too, I can't wait to see who the random Dex Holders are!
Seeing Black and White happy together is a rarity in my stories! Heh... So better enjoy it while you can~!
The two Dex Holders for the next scrambled chapter has already been decided. The “random” is a lie. The answer can be found in Pokemon Special Discord. Hehehe...
5) I literally can't stop smiling while reading this. This is just soooooooo cute!
Hehe. I tried to cram in as much cute and sweet stuff as possible :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
And so DE now looks like this. ... Interesting to note that this chapter has been out for less than 24 hours and already has more than the Sun & Moon chapter I made a long time ago. Heh. As usual, the youngest juniors just get sh*t on in stories like these. Before the Sun & Moon chapter, what is the absolute minimum? (16, 5), which was... X & Y. Yep. The youngest juniors just get sh*t on.
If this chapter fails to reach 10 like the last one, then... well, so much for trying to write cute stuff with Black and White.

Review Response, March 31 - April 6, 2019
Technically, the last two on this list are from today, aka April 7 and not in last week, but... ehh... 12:18 am and 3:44 am, so... I’ll let it slide. Besides, responding to 8 at once makes me feel a lot better than responding to just 6.
Legacy #006
1) Great chapter, I liked how platinum was calm and collected even though they jumped off a cliff, really should let y have swimming lessons
Thank you. And yes, Y really should learn how to swim, and will probably be doing that some time later on in Legacy. Won’t get proficient at it, but show some progress! ... Assuming there’s enough time to do that.
2) Oof betrayal within the ranks, Poor Y
I love your writing - It’s worth the wait!
A temporary “betrayal”. For now...
And thank you! ... But it would be best to not wait, no?
3) At least it's remaining not dim and grim for now (no offence).
Ehehe... it’s fine. It’s too early for doom!
4) Good thing Platina thinks. I feel bad for Y, but guess being "cold" isn't so bad after all. It is also so nice to see a relatively calm Gold who isn't the complete child that a lot of fans seem to make him out to be. Though I am a bit amused that "quiet" was something that he would look forward to.
Pretty much a setup chapter it looks like, but I liked the characterization of everyone as always. Great writing and I am really looking forward to seeing how the rest of this story will turn out!
“Betrayed” while in a panicked state. Yikes. Indeed, it’s nice to be cold and calm from time to time. Really see things objectively in a desperate situation. Hehe.
Calm and nice Gold, as the aftermath of The Infinite Cycle. The Cycle ended at Week 20. Gold mentions Week 21 in this Legacy chapter, with Week 12 being when he helped Platinum with her Eevee egg. So behold the not-immature Gold! ... That damn freeloader!
Yes, this is kind of a preparation chapter, isn’t it? That means... sh*t is going to happen soon!
5) I started reading this a couple months ago before reviewing and this story so far is amazing! I did NOT see that coming for Y, well at least Platinum still saved her.
It may be just me, but is that some foreshadowing I see there?
Ehe. Thank you! ... I admit, what Y goes through isn’t really realistic. When someone who can’t swim desperately kick and flail to reach the water surface, they will reach the surface and breathe. They just can’t stay above the water, will likely inhale some water while trying to catch a breathe, and then sink. In this chapter, Y never broke the water surface, because I mirrored it after my own near-drowning experience. ... Platinum’s calm response to the situation is also from the said near-drowning experience, and how I saved myself. Being calm for the win!
Foreshadowing, eh? ... You have no idea...
6) Glad to see them safe. This bout to get EXCITING. Can’t wait for the next update!
Sh*t is going to happen! Starting next chapter! ... Which will get here within the week if there are 5 more reviews for this chapter.
7) Things are about to heat up! I'm excited to see what happens next!
Poor Y at that moment that she felt betrayed, but Platinum was right.
Things sure are about to heat up! Remember that sentence for the next chapter!
Yep. Platinum was definitely right. At that moment, Y was not only a danger to herself, but also to anyone around her. I wonder if this will become a theme...
8) Looks like everyone is safe, especially Platnium and Y. I think something crazy is going to happen. Couldn’t wait for the next update.
Something crazy is just around the corner! Now the question is when. Can’t wait for the update? Allow me to spell out the situation!
Tumblr media
Here is the current Legacy chapter-reviews chart. The downhill trend can’t be more obvious, with the last chapter failing to reach a double digit count despite existing for 5 months. The current chapter has 8, which is certainly more than what the last chapter had in the same time frame.
But from here, if there are 0~1 more reviews for the chapter so the count remains below 10, then Legacy will probably be updated next in around... November? December?
If there are 2~4 more, then expect the update around May. Double digit but below the average? ... At least it’s better than the last chapter.
If there are 5+ more, then expect the update within the next 7 days. Because that means this chapter has finally gotten more than the average, which hasn’t happened since Prologue - Kalos (3, 14). ... Though back then, the average was much higher thanks to the outlier...
Now, how can I say that the update can be done within the next 7 days? ... Because I know exactly what I want to do for the next chapter. The question is whether or not I feel like working on the Legacy update.
That said, given how it’s only been 3 days since the update and there are 8, and I don’t see some of the consistent reviewers... the update plan is looking GOOD. So... the update probably won’t take more than 2 months at the very least!

Review Response, Destiny #043
The count reached past 10, so here it is. Even with one review being for a chapter that does not exist (???), the count is still past 10. So... yeah!
1) You really made a bitch cry during this chapter, like damn I already guessed it but all my Hoenn favs lost in the waves. Just thinking about what happened to Tate and Liza who are even younger than emerald just haunted me. I had said in a previous review that emerald was gonna lose all his loved ones(by that I mean the ones closest to him) and that’s what happened. One can only pray that there’s even a hint of an ethnically Hoenn population left after this entire ordeal As for everyone else Red and Blue lost their bestie’s and brother but have each other, the Johto kids gained nothing and lost everything, Sinnoh kids are traumatized but otherwise fine, Black and White have each other, and X is probably a level of depressed incomprehensible for the human mind. This story was a fun emotional roller coaster and I’m happy I could be apart of the ride.
Ah, the review for a chapter that does not exist. Given the buggy nature of this, I will consider this review to be for chapter 43.
Emerald has indeed, lost everyone. In fact, if the epilogue scene played out like a video game and you could explore around, on the skeleton around “Emerald Gate”, you’d find a secret chamber containing a lot of worn out journals and two Soul Dew. ... Ouch, huh? And yes, there would be Hoenn population left, having evacuated to the other regions. While most of Hoenn cities have catastrophic casualties, the towns and cities near the fringes but away from the calamity (such as Fallarbor and Rustboro) would have most of their dwellers alive, just evacuated.
Red and Blue are happy (in fact, the popular “rivals” for that pairing are all dead) and will have their own happy ending sooner or later, the Johto folks got a doom ending, the Hoenn folks got a doom ending, Sinnoh got a happy ending, Unova got a happy ending, and Kalos got a doom ending. 3:3. BALANCE!
2) The chapter title honestly reminded me of Avengers: Endgame XD
And thank you as well! It's fun writing Ruby and Sapphire so I don't wanna miss the opportunity. Thank you again! TwT
(Still don’t know anything about the Avengers or whatever)
Thanks so much, Cap! I really love what you did for that segment, and I really appreciate it. I hope we can do something similar once again!
3) That was a great way to end, can’t wait for the other stories to unfold!
Thank you very much. Legacy will certainly get interesting later on!
4) Damn, pretty much all of Hoenn is gone. That's death on a far grander scale than anything I was expecting. Still, the ending is oddly satisfying. Hmm, not sure how else to word that.
Anyway, this entire story is awesome! Kinda wish there was a bit in the epilogue as to what happened with the surviving dex holders, but oh well. Amazing writing as always~
Destiny has the highest death count of all the stories I’ve ever written. Even in terms of named character deaths, SA has the most, since everyone notable in Hoenn are gone. ... It’s a good thing Emerald never got confirmation... “... Even the Shoe Store Guy...”
I was originally going to put in some stuff for the survivors, but they were kind of out of place and incorrect in terms of timeline, as Emerald would seal his two friends and a few days later, the survivors would’ve returned home for their happy endings or whatnot. And thank you!
5) Jeez, what an incredible story. I've been following this since 2014 & all I can really say is damn. Looking forward to keep reading your other stories.
Thank you very much!
6) Why have a cliffhanger ending without a sequel? It's not a horror movie.
Because it’s FUN! Hehe. In truth, I always liked the concept of a teaser ending, especially a teaser ending that shows a new threat/event that it not going to be elaborated on. At least not by the original creators, anyways. Besides, I did this once before back in SA. Never created SA2, you know. Same deal here. Hehehe...
7) Wow...
That was...
Let's just say, I was NOT expecting that.
At all.
Hehe... then it was as intended. Huhuhu...
8) Both of the Unova casts survived?! What is this blasphemy! Hooray for finishing Destiny, really good work. Cya at your other stories.
What a shocker! Black and White lived!!
Ahem. Okay, to be REALLY fair, I did intend to kill White in Destiny. In fact, the “fake Destiny” short story I made years ago (Short Story - Mercy) was supposed to happen exactly in the actual story. White gets mind controlled and convinces Black to kill her to spare her from the torture and to stop her from bringing Unova into ruin by pissing off Kyurem. I just decided to not go with it at the last moment to show some mercy, and because the Kyurem issue will be brought up in another story later on and I didn’t want a repeat. So... now you know! Hehehe...
9) As Ethan Kironus said, "Why have a cliffhanger ending without a sequel? It's not a horror movie." I freakin' hate when someone do that. I'm disappointed and will not read this story, and I regret I ever followed it.
I’m so glad you decided to not read the story after you followed and read it all the way to the very last chapter. Well done.
10) Heheh. You and your cliffhanger endings. They almost always end like that which perfectly sets up for a sequel. Then you never make it to leave us in suspense forever.
Okay. I feel really bad for emerald. Everybody he loves is gone. Like Ruby and Sapphire, he has nothing left. He chose the hard thing to do, however, and spend the rest of his life guarding the orbs. It’s pretty noble, and pretty depressing. At least the others got a somewhat of a happy ending...except for X.
Whats this? Black and White actually lived through a full story?! I didnt think it was possible!
I think this is the most people you killed in a story since everyone in an entire region died.
Anyway, great job with this fic! Its been a very enjoyable one, and I’m glad I got to read it! There truly aren’t enough good stories that involve the dex holders!
Hehehe... them teaser endings!! Though to be fair... I only did it once before with SA. But in terms of “plot based, long story”, there are... 3. SA, Destiny, Legacy. So... with 2 of those stories finished, and 2 teaser endings... 100% rate thus far. Ha!
Poor Emerald indeed. Lost Crystal. Lost Gold. Lost Ruby and Sapphire. Lost even the Trick Master. And later on, loses Latias and Latios. Poor boy. Curious that no one thus far had said “poor Sapphire”. And yes, X had a horribly sad ending too. Because he gets to go home and “bury” Y in Vaniville Town, which means he also has to talk with Y’s mother and tell her of Y’s death. Ohh...
Hehe. About Black and White... To be fair (again), the... er... misconception that I tend to kill Black and White a lot started with how I kind of... tossed them away in SA. And I only had them die in SA because they were post-plot-plan additions. Generation V as a whole debuted after SA started and its plans fully set. So the two did not have a place in the finale thus were thrown away. While it’s true that I bullied the crap out of them in DE, I didn’t really kill them much. ... I think. Ahem. Now, similarly, Sun and Moon both debuted after Destiny began. Which means if I decided to include Sun and Moon in Destiny, they both would’ve died in the final battle to increase the death count. And the misconception that I bully and kill the Alola cast will begin. Maybe. So... yeah. ... That said, I do find a bit of amusement in torturing Black & White, but... hehehe...
Not everyone in Hoenn died, but pretty much everyone. I think the population focused cities are Lilycove (doomed), Slateport (doomed), and Mauville (doomed), so... yeah. A LOT of deaths of faceless nameless people.
Thank you so much! I’ll see you at the other stories!
11) Sorry to give another review, but...
Yeah...
Like I said, wasn't expecting the ending.
The destruction of Hoenn was pretty much the death-wish I asked for. Thanks.
Can't be a 135 story without a cliffhanger ending, can it?
Anyways, as many others have said, the Unovan cast surviving was very surprising.
To end this off (for now), all I can say is that I'm glad I read this. Thanks for giving us a story that can make us feel so many different emotions. There aren't as many out there as there used to be, but you pulled through and that's what mattered.
And to the people who say that the cliffhanger ending was unnecessary... What did you honestly expect? It's a 135 story. Whenever you read one of those, you're always going to be left with one of them. And people actually can LIKE cliffhangers. I'm one of them. No hate to those who disagree with me. I'm just stating my opinion.
(To 135): I'll be back eventually.
You aren't getting rid of me just yet.
Thanks for the story.
You made the “death wish” years after I decided to obliterate Hoenn and its population. So... hehehe. Nice. Works out, eh?
Can’t be a 135 story without one? ... Ehh... maybe. I mean, I guess all the post-endings in SE/DE kind of do that too. Hehehe...
Yeah, yeah. Unova cast... the “usual” targets, apparently.
Thanks for the compliments!
And looking at it strictly, the loose ending is technically unnecessary. And do not cause disputes, s’il vous plait.
“I’ll be back”. ... Do not drive a vehicle through a building? (REFERENCE!)
Well then. I will wait. Thank you!

Review Response, Dec 2-8, 2018
Another week, another batch, since both Heart and Wings saw an update.
Destiny #042:
1) Great story loved it all the way thru
Thank you.
2) That was a roller coaster of emotions. At least Black and White finally got a happy ending in one of your stories... Hopefully... at least you haven't doom hammered them too hard yet. Looking forward to seeing the final update!
Yes. Finally, Black and White are SPARED instead of being sacrificed for the sake of tearing out heart strings. ... I tend to go back and forth between doom and sweetness for Black & White. And in the grand scheme of things, I have THREE major stories. SA, Destiny, Legacy. In SA, there was White’s death scene that hurt so many people. ... And Black got tossed away. In Destiny, both Black and White were spared. So in Legacy... Hmm...
3) hhhhhh poor Zygarde ;-;
... Wait, Poor Zygarde?! Hehehe. I guess, yeah. I mean, it only killed three Dex Holders with its fragile-ass 100% form. And two of those were because of an ambush, pretty much, while the other is a technicality, so to speak. Yellow has so many unique bullsh*t abilities and they are the only thing that support her as a character. ... Core Enforcer removes target’s ability. Thus Core Enforcer shredded Yellow. That is all.
Wings #002:
1) What a nice teacher XD
Hehe. It’s one of those things I noticed in certain school-based anime series. The teachers generally don’t give a f*ck about what happens. Like three third-years enter a first year classroom, holding wooden sticks, call out a student to meet them on the roof, and the teacher is just like “get out of here, you’re interrupting a class.” So in Wings, three third-years called out Y, Y beat the sh*t out of them, and the teacher is like “whatever, they had it coming.” ... Also necessary for the story, since Y will beat up a lot of people and I can’t have her getting kicked out.
2) Good chapter
Thank you.
3) Eh, if she didn't embrace her reputation, it would probably end up a not as eventful AU. The writing was awesome as always (that fight was probably the best part of the chapter) and I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
Oh, and enjoy your vacation!
Yep. If Y was just like a normal girl, then the story becomes “just another one of those damn high school stories”. So BAD. Y must keep her reputation for the sake of entertainment. Even if that means a lot of students get beaten up, most of which would deserve a bit less than what they’d get.
And yes. Vacation! Yellowknife, here I come! ... On the 12th!
4) WOOOO Y YOU GO GIRL
And damn this chapter just got more interesting hehe
First blood has occurred. Certainly won’t be the last. Which means far more interesting events are coming!
5) Great work again! I was just wondering whether there are any other Dex holders in this and if Y will have a bond with White and Platinum like she usually does?
Oh, definitely. In fact, most of the other Dex Holders will appear at some point or another. And yes, the Junior Trio will exist in the story. ... But Y will have to meet White and Platinum first. ... And White will experience a hostile first meeting with Y. Poor White. Hehehe...
6) Wow. Y is scary when she’s angry. Her temper is probably worse than Sapphire’s...and I love it!
Good going, X. I’d want to be her friend, too, after what i just witnessed.
Oh, Y will have a violent temper in Wings. And maybe a bit of a comical sadism, that will probably occur in the next chapter. And yes, X won’t ever want to get on her bad side now, and try his best to be her good friend. ... Otherwise... “... Y, please put the shovel down.”
7) X is so cute... he’s honestly the highlight of this story for me so far. Y’s pretty fun too. It’s nice to see the Vaniville group all together.
This is probably my most anticipated story by you right now, besides maybe SOS on your tumblr (I like seeing everyone together and not dying). Will there be other Dexholders in this?
Thanks for the great update!
The Vaniville Squad! Hehe. It’d be a notorious squad from Kalos Mid, mostly thanks to Y.
... You like seeing everyone together and not dying, but... SoS? That series has the most deaths! Hehe. Of course, SoS is in a GAME setting, so Dex Holders will die and respawn. So... no heartbreaking or dramatic deaths. More like comical and sad deaths. Hehe...
And yes, there will be other Dex Holders. So far, the following will appear one way or another at some point: Red, Gold, Crystal, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Black, White, Faitsu, X, Y, Sun, Moon. I might put Blue in somewhere, but I haven’t decided yet. We’ll see as the chapters progress.
Heart #003:
1) Aww this was adorable to read! Poor Pearl though ahaha
Hehehe... Poor Pearl, indeed. He’s suffering the full wrath of Platinum’s obliviousness.
2) The way this is written makes me wonder if you have a crush on Platinum yourself
Great chapter!
Heh. Of course not. I simply contemplated on how I responded to my crush way back in the days, imagined how guys would respond to their crush, and increased the teasing factor by a bunch. Which is why the scene is basically written in Pearl’s perspective, instead of Platinum.
3) Sabotage? Noooooo ;-;
And dang. RIP Pearl XD
Unfortunately, Diamond vs. Pearl is beginning. Ring the bell. And so it begins. “Poor Pearl” should just be a thing now. ... Especially at the end of Heart, where he will suffer far more than he did in this chapter. Huhuhuhahahaha!
4) He's not getting any sleep is he lol? Well-written as always and I have to say the way you were teasing Pearl throughout was hilarious. Looking forward to the next chapter~
Pearl is being haunted in his dreams. And while it’s not a bad thing at all, it’s also very, very, VERY bad at the same time. Poor Pearl. Even in a dream, he can’t kiss Platinum. Hehe.
Heh... Pearl, you perv. But I think that poor kid is the only one I’ve teased in this fashion, ever. ... Well, this severely, anyways.

Review Response, Wings #001
Well, it’s been practically 7 days, so... here goes.
1) I really want to believe that the kid who identified her is diamond. Sinnoh Middle School,Not Blonde, cares about Cafeteria food . Makes sense but he wouldn't be the kind of student to just yell things out about people.
The one who identified Y is not the one from the Sinnoh school. That particular student is some unnamed, unimportant student who will never be heard from again. ... Also, Diamond wouldn’t be in the same grade as Y. In terms of ages and thus grades for the Dex Holders who will be in the school, Sinnoh > Unova > Kalos.
2) Usually, I'm not interested in high school AUs since...well, typical ones, but this one is extraordinary. It's good and just a fresh, new take in a typical high school AU fic
Hehe... thank you for saying that it’s extraordinary. I’ll be trying real hard to make sure this is not anything like a typical high school story. None of those typical “high school mean girls” will be of any problem for the main character. Not unless they want to be duct-taped upside down to the flag pole.
3) Damn iT i cant log into my account oh Well guess review should do :) Great chapter looking forward to the next one
Thank you!
4) I’m liking this series already and can’t wait for more Keep up the good work!
Thank you! The more this series is liked, the faster its updates!
5) Interesting ... French school...? Not that I mind though. I'll be ready for the blood and violence with popcorn :)
French school? I have no idea what French schools are like. ... Or European ones. But hey, school story, so tons of blood and violence, to the point where Y will change her attire to a similar theme as to the uniform, but colored black so that when she gets blood on her, it’s not nearly as noticeable.
6) I've never really liked high school aus but I think you'll do a great job:)
Thank you. I never liked high school stories either. In fact, I hate them. So my thoughts on Wings are kind of mixed, but at least this will not be a typical high school story.
7) Finally had time to read and review!
I'm not usually one for high school AU fics, but this will be an exception. I guess my main problem with them is that most of the characters are OC and just act like typical high school kids. It could really be a stand alone story and be the exact same.
Here, the characters still act like their manga counterparts, so good on that. I love all the different personalities of the dex holders, and you always capture them really well. Your writing style is what continues to keep me invested in the fics you write. I'll be reading this one to the end, as well, though I don't know if that's saying much since you said it would only be around 10 chapters haha.
Keep it up.
Thank you! I will be trying to keep the Dex Holders with their actual personalities, though some traits will have to be exaggerated. Like Y isn’t this aggressive... or violent. The biggest personality issue in Wings would be X, since his personality traits have been determined by his past, which will not exist here. So he’s not a shut-in, but he’s also going to be afraid of Y quite a bit (and for good reason). We’ll see how that goes.
8) HAHAHA I laughed so hard at the rolling up the stairs part. That was pretty funny. Just out of curiosity, did you go to a high school with uniforms?
The rolling up the stairs part was from a joke me and my friends made. “Do you like, fall up the stairs?” Heh.
And no, the high school I attended did not have uniforms. I don’t know if Canadian public high schools have uniforms. ... Then again, I’ve only ever been to one, so... who knows. As I recall, we only had a not-really-enforced dress code that people kind of broke all the time. I don’t know about the guys, but the girls’ dress code required the skirts to at least reach the knees, and if you were going to wear a sleeveless shirt, the “straps” had to be at least 3 fingers wide, and your bra straps must not be showing. No one wore skirts and the stupidly short shorts didn’t exist at the time, so that part everyone obeyed. ... Actually, there was one brainless girl that wore a miniskirt... Anyways. The shirt one... most everyone didn’t in summer time. Well, I always wore T-shirt and jeans so... no problems there, but a lot of the other girls... yeah. Teenagers. What are you going to do, right? ... Sheesh, I sound old...
