ADVENT CALENDAR RP MEME - DAY 12 (Part I): AN OC OTP TRISTAN & ANYA - FCs: Joel Kinnaman & Tabrett Bethell St. Mary's saga

Yeah, I suck and can’t pick just one couple, so once more I’ll be splitting this one in two entries (maybe three). I’ll try not to ramble too much, but one of the things that I like the most about Tristan and Anya is how well they connected from the very first interaction Rhi and I wrote for these two. I don’t know why, but sometimes it just happens, that two characters have that deep connection and they just ooze awesome chemistry. That was kind of how things went for these two. Plus, I’m a sucker for people who connect based on their own past tragedies. Now, he was a teacher and she was a student with an eight year age gap between them (honestly, I didn’t give a fuck about the age, but the teacher-student thing was tricky to play). Given the nature of the world these two live in (with the St. Mary’s setting and Orion Hearst being the autocratic, rule-lover asshole he was), the whole thing between Anya and Tristan developed in secret. These two were people who always presented themselves as rebels, as strong and exceedingly independent individuals, and once they began to open up to each other there were many vulnerably sides to them that were revealed. I guess that’s one of the things I like the most about an OTP, when a character’s personality and mind is explored further because here comes this other person that manages to get inside all those hidden depths. On Tristan’s side, I absolutely loved to continue to explore his character and play with his more vulnerable sides, with the caring side of him that he didn’t show. Because this guy had some serious comittment issues, he really struggled to admit to himself that he truly loved Anya, that it was okay to care fore her and that selflessness isn’t necessesarily a weakness. These two babies are really fucked up in some areas, but I loved how much they grew as individuals and as a couple.

AU: A WORLD OF HEROES - The Knight Initiative

Mr. Frederick Knight, a prominent politician in the US government has extended his aid and support to the gifted ones, so that protecting the planet can be a joint labor in which humans also get to participate. The Knight Initiative to this day has become an intelligence agency that operates all over the world, in which both human agents and those with powers work together to maintain peace and order.

SIBYL TAYEB - "CHIMERA": As one of the top opperatives of the Mossad, it was no surprise that Frederick Knight recruited Sibyl to take part in his initiative. She always had a knack for both in hand-to-hand or armed combat, but in Knight’s Initiative she has specilized in the use of weapons that have been created especially for the agency and has perfectioned herself as an excellent fighter. Sibyl has become the best agent in matters of infiltration and acquisition of intelligence, often taking different identities and resorting to her female charms to get what she wants. You don’t send a man to do a woman’s job, after all. Sibyl has been dubbed “Chimera” by many because of the deadly female creature of Greek mythology and her illusory persona. One thing is certain about her: Sibyl Tayeb is as beautiful as she is deadly.

TRISTAN TILLSTROM - "HALO": The Halo Suit was an experimental project the military started with support from the government and Knight’s Initiative. Lieutenant Tristan Tillstrom was one of the five candidates that were sent to try the suit. The techonology was so advanced and the Halo Suit so powerful that it was required for the person inside the robotic body to take a drug that would enhance them physically and mentally. After six months of trials, Tristan was the best candidate by far, having mastered the use of the suit. Tristan has been a part of Knight’s Initiative ever since, fighting side by side with the Earth’s mightiest heroes and best agents. Even though he didn’t pick an alias for himself, the media has nicknamed him “Halo” because of the suit he uses. As of late, he’s been experiencing side-effects from the drug he has been taking to be able to wear the suit. It has basically turned him into a drug addict of sorts.
