Just ran my 99th Half Marathon raising funds for WOMANKIND charity....

14.4miles (23K) in 1:56:46, 8:07min/mile pace (5:02min/K).

So today’s run i chose because it’s a favourite route along the south coast of England, Hove to Worthing and back, gorgeous sunny warm day☀️ I wore my purple WOMANKIND vest to celebrate nearing the completion of this long challenge , and of course some pencil-dick bloke on a bicycle in Worthing looked me up&down and shouted “faggot!” at me which made me rather angry and chase after him, which helped improve my pace a bit on the way back!

Now i reach the final two hurdles: The 26.2mile Dublin Marathon on October 28th, and my 100th Half at the 13.1mile Poppy Half Marathon in Bexhill on 10th November. 6.5years is coming to a head! Can’t bloody wait to be the other side of that line!!:))✊💜

Questa corsa nella prima vera fredda mattina di Genova l'ho voluta dedicare a chi non c'è più. Perché, oggi, 21 anni fa lasciava troppo presto questa terra Marco, un grande Uomo oltre che un grande Amico, che tante cose mi ha insegnato, manchi sempre a tutti noi. Poi stamattina, poco prima di andare a correre ho appreso la notizia della precoce dipartita terrena di Tommaso, il fratello di Giacomo Sintini, della cui associazione porto i colori sulla divisa di #unpassoallavolta e cui sono sempre stato vicino, e poco prima di iniziare a lavorare, di Gabriele, un ragazzo che conoscevo via social, purtroppo malato da tempo. Voglio dedicare allora questi miei passi a loro e a tutte quelle persone che non ci sono più ma che facciamo ancora vivere nel nostro cuore. ❤️ Alle famiglie di Tommaso e Gabriele mando un fortissimo abbraccio, pieno di affetto. That’s a lot of steps! I had 70,455 steps on Sunday and I ran the marathon!

It’s a lot these days, but really my totals have been super low all around thanks to no running. I have 14,600 or so as my daily goal (to get my rolling 7 day average to stay at 100,000 but it’s been a while since I’ve reached that.
