I didn’t expect to like Queen Charlotte as much as I did. First because I don’t particularly like the queen in Bridgerton. Most of her scenes are about LW and I personally find that annoying. Second I have a love/hate relationship with Shonda’s productions. Some of her takes are really bizarre, she puts me off sometimes.
That said, I thought Queen Charlotte was beautifully written, produced, filmed, edited and acted. The cast is definitely the best part, in my opinion. But, most of all, what I got from it is that is not about HEA, but happy while it lasts. Happy with what ones have. Whether it’s the queen, Brimsley, Lady Danbury or Violet. They lived, they loved, they thrived, they went through hardships, they lost and, you know, that’s life! They made and are making the best of it.
In life, that’s pretty much all we can do.

obsessed with this guy's look..
the spiked boots, the heels, the spurs, the gay kingdom hearts belts wrapped around his thigh, wearing as little on his torso as possible while still wearing a shirt, the big scarf titties out realness of it all... serving so much cunt it's fucking surreal

Just found out that there was someone called Charlotte Corday irl, a figure during the french revolution, and I‘m not too into lop lore yet, but like. She was the daughter of a minor noble family, part of the revolution and sympathizing with the more moderate groups and she murdered someone she believed to be responsible for the september massacres, which is how she got the nickname ‚Angel of Assassination‘. I don‘t exactly see any parallels between her and the Cordays from the game though? Their motivations for killing were different? But could it be that she was the inspo for at least the names?
