Still thinking about how literally EVERYONE, whether villain or otherwise, had already known and sensed that Vincenzo and Chayoung were special to each other. Hanseok kidnapped Chayoung knowing full well Vincenzo would risk everything, even his own life, to make sure she was safe, and that he would not be in the right frame of mind to devise a backup plan. Hanseo also distracted Vincenzo with "Lawyer Hong Chayoung!" because he knew it'd work, and no one expressed surprise or shock when Vincenzo ran to Chayoung and embraced her tenderly when she came to see him off.

In the same way, Vincenzo and Chayoung had probably already sensed each other’s love since a long time ago, not by grandiose expressions of affection, but in the slow but steady undercurrent of deep love and companionship both shared so intimately every single day. Everyone could see it, even the villains, because the quietest love is always the loudest.

That’s why when they shared their first real kiss on those steps a year later, it felt like they had already shared that kiss a million times over.

In Vincenzo,the way the writer and director have been portraying Vincenzo’s repressed feelings and emotional struggle is through close ups of his hands. His palm facing and holdings hers is therefore a HUGE moment. It is deeply symbolic and better than any I love you.

The book and it’s title is a metaphor for Vincenzo’s path towards self-acceptance and self-love.The writer obviously represents his relationship with CY. When he said he didn’t like the font (of his name), what he meant was that he didn’t like himself and wasn’t deserving of her.

The hands scene and him staring at the book and the pen on the plane shows he’s finally accepted he is deserving of her love. This is why he got off, to go and tell her. If you look at the cover of the book I feel that inzaghi is the blue bird. Inzaghi represents his heart and soul. At first he was at odds with Inzaghi, but as time went by he started nurturing / feeding him - a metaphor for self love.He stopped being bothered by Inzaghi’s noise outside the window - meaning Vincenzo was becoming more at peace with himself. When he said “I forgot to feed Inzaghi” what he actually meant was he came back to be with Cha-Young. He’s ready to accept her into his heart so to speak, and he’s ready to give her his. When he was leaving for Italy, inzaghi didn’t come because his heart didn’t want to leave Korea. He finally accepted love given from CY’s and his cassano family .I just think that it is so beautiful 🥺. He is even opening his heart to Han SEO. Let’s be real he ADORES him. Not at first but now. He likes that Han seo is repenting and finally getting what he deserves. He even opened his heart to seuyk do. Look at him getting a younger brother, two older brother (mr nam and seuyk do), a mother figure( the restaurant women I don’t know her name), a daughter (miri), an uncle(mr tak),friends who he can fully trust like chef toto, the rest of ant company gang, the pawn shop couple who really adores him and he does the same plus he got TWO BEST FRIENDS (mr ahn and mr cho). Even the son of restaurant women idolises him and let’s not forget HIS WIFE. He is not ALONE anymore. He has a real family. Why would he leave for Italy.

I LOVE the fact that their scene took place at the airport. Vincenzo and CY standing in a departure hall symbolises the cross road they stand at in their relationship SO well. The question of are you leaving South Korea was always just plain subtext for 'are you leaving me'. You know the scene in ep 18 where after the court how they parted ways and said see you later, I think it means that after making peace with themselves and figuring out what they really want aka the character development, they will in the end always come back to each other. I knew they will be separated for a while to realise how they longed and missed each other.

I think CY purposely changed the quote? You can see the pure astonishment,awe and love on his face when she was saying/confessing in his language in which he frequently uses to express himself. I want him to correct her because since the beginning we know that they are very good at philosophy. CY literally hinted that the ball is in his court now and he will take a step towards their relationship. I guess in the mid of ep19 he will tell her that he loves her🤞🏻

the love that vincenzo and cha young have for each other is so pure, selfless, and unflinching that the two would literally give up their life for each other without hesitation. it’s the kind of love that bonds one half of a soul to the other- the kind of love that melds two beings together with the feeling of completeness and the knowledge that despite any jagged edges that either half may have, that the two will always fit together perfectly as one whole. that unconditional love is the beating heart of this story, and it is the reason why vincenzo and cha young are bound by fate; neither can exist without their other half now that they know what it’s like to finally feel complete.

no but CY and Vincenzo's love transcends all barriers. before vincenzo even knew she was in danger she straight up tells hanseok to kill her and not drag him into it

his eyes were glued on to her the entire time, he also literally fell on his knees and was ready to get beat to death if it meant CY would be okay

when she gets shot you can also see his terror, like his soul just leaves his body, but the fact he didn't even realize she took the bullet shows how CY did not hesitate to make that decision even for a second

as much as you all want to nitpick the fact that Vincenzo could have freed Cha-young, escorted her to safety (because if y'all think our girl was gonna run out of there and leave vin and han-seo there alone then well...) and then stepped in to help han-seo against han-seok in literal seconds then he wouldn't be human, I believe. and what is this show if not about Vincenzo's development into a person who feels things. who has connections and attachments. who thinks about the consequences.

his mom was murdered and his mind laser focused on revenge. seeing Cha-young get slapped, grabbed by the hair while a gun is literal millimeters away from her face, he's not thinking about anything BUT ensuring she gets out safely.

people tend to forget that aside from fight and flight, there's a third option too and that's freezing or inaction. his mom was killed and he fought. the person he loves with all his heart, the only person he is significantly emotionally attached to is in danger and all he can think about is her. everything else becomes meaningless. inaction, if you will.

anyway here's my two cents. do with it what you will.

Like really, does anyone actually think Mr. Corn Salad is gonna lone wolf it? Just him sitting alone at some outside European cafe? No! He gazes lovingly across the street at Cha Young talking animatedly on the phone to one of the plaza residents. She sees him looking and smiles and waves before ending the call and rejoining him.

We see him laying on the beach somewhere, seemingly alone, when his phone rings. It's a video call from the plaza residents. The pawnshop couple just brought their baby home and they're calling to show him. He calls over to Cha Young, who has been dipping her feet in the water, and she excitedly runs over and they both coo at the baby and get misty eyed when they're told they're the godparents. They promise to come visit as soon as they can.

Any post-Korea scenario for him involves her. And the plaza residents, even if he and Cha Young end up leaving. THEY'RE A FAMILY.

"I have a favor to ask. "Please stay by my mother's side until I return." "I understand.

"Catch them. "No--make sure that they pay for their crimes."

I absolutely love this moment, though so very brief, between them. Cha Young understands that the world's and Vincenzo's perception of punishment is very different. When Vincenzo asks Cha Young to stay by his mother's side, he's asking her to not get involved in his violence, and to stay by one of the few people who truly matter to him. Cha Young, in asking Vincenzo to not only catch those who are responsible, but to make sure that they pay for what they've don, is giving him the green light to dispense his own sense of justice

EDIT: I was rewatching this scene (because 2 weeks of no new Vincenzo episodes means a rewatching marathon), and Cha Young's words remind me of her conversation with Vincenzo back in Episode 8 regarding the Mafia. She knows what her words entail when she tells Vincenzo to make those who are responsible pay for their crimes: death.

Gotta say I really truly love the progression from powerful, angsty, fiery Adrenaline, to quiet, reflective, hopeful Is This Love, to declaring, comfortable, certain I'm Always By Your Side

It parallels the chayenzo journey so well, and I have so much appreciation for this drama's soundtrack
