I have become unphased by Analog horror scarys.

#hmmmmmmm #funny sounds alone in the building again and they didn't start until it was pitch black outside #I heard what sounded like doors closing down the hall and assumed security was here for their checks and came in a side door with their key #and maybe were just in an area my shitty camera angles don't catch #but 45mins later no security guard surfaced and I went outside for a smoke and only my car is here so they were never here #every door but the auto doors near my desk are locked and under active surveillance there's no way someone else is in the building #we have no guests today I've been alone since my shift started and not one strange noise until it was dark #I so wish I could find an explanation for this shit it's weirding me out #I'm trying to find rational explanations first obvs but can't find any???? I've walked the halls I've catalogued what the normal sounds are #I'm very much at a loss... I'm not scared per se but I'd sure like an explanation #p

so a bit ago i watched that one OnI lore summary video someone made. im assuming youve seen it considering you're the Lore Guy but if you haven't thats not important for this- just that they pitched this theory that jorge was originally from a test colony on ceres.

now at the time i kinda just shrugged like "huh, neat, not my interpretation but its pretty interesting, not super far fetched" and then forgot about it.

BUT i was playing today and got this painting of. its clearly that mythological paul whatever giant guy im too tired to remember the name but

They put jorge with a ceres animal. this either means jack shit nothing and its just a coincidence or Lore Video Guy was onto something. but also as far as ive seen this is the only in game instance of jorge having any association with ceres. I was wondering if you had any thoughts?

Ok ok ok so I just went and double checked some stuff, and there actually is in game evidence of Jorge having been part of a ceres colony!

So this log from the mysterious hermit story trait is presumably from the pod that oversaw the colony Jorge was originally from, which is further supported by the rusty toolbox noting that it has a drawing of duplicants around a massive crater, so that all makes sense and such. Well! Turns out the named crater is a real one, and it's on the real world ceres! Combined with the ending bit noting cold temperatures, it seems that ever since Jorge was introduced he had ties to ceres! Really makes one wonder just how long the team had been playing around with putting ceres into the game

#rat rambles #oni posting #so yeah he Was onto something afterall!#this is why as much as I like to be dramatic abt ppl misinterpreting stuff I still think its valuable when more ppl read and talk abt stuff #because I sure as hell am not immune to misinterpreting stuff as Im sure was very obvious back when I was first getting into oni #all of my old assumptions abt jorge were dead fucking wrong for example lol #dyslexia + me not having access to most of the logs at the time left me uninformed and with bad takes 😔#this is a big part of the reason Ive always been sad abt it being hard to find full catalogues of the logs #although I have been seeing the wiki slowly updating it's lore pages which I very much appreciate #Im pretty sure ppl have mostly just been adding the newer logs tho which is a shame since last I checked some older ones are still missing #the main reason I haven't added any is because I dont wanna have to figure out which are base game and which are spaced out logs #also a seed is planted is still taunting me with the fact I still haven't been able to find it outside of debug mode #but yeah I kind of figured jorge might have been from a ceres colony due to the ceres setpiece with a diy cot #which if Im remembering correctly in the files is called jorge bed or smth #so nothing concrete but combined with the animations I assumed it was implied #I didnt expect that the crater in the pod log was literally a real world ceres crater tho that surprised me lol

why didnt i buy a 3ds when they were cheap second hand GODDD theyve literally doubled in price in the last 5 years

#i wanna play the smt games after im done with p5 and id like to start with 4 #my partner has a 3ds i could use but like. i checked out the rest of the catalogue and i found enough stuff to justify having my own #cause honestly just with all the smt games there i could be using it for a full year #and then theres the lawyer guy games which is also a long series #and i might even try fe #and thats not even getting into the og ds catalogue #and like. the thing the 3ds has over the switch. is that you can mod it in like an hour last i checked. and then you get everything for fre #id play a lot more stuff on the switch if it was cheaper but i cant be spending 50 bucks on everything that seems interesting #GODDD its just. i remember buying a basic small 3ds for my little cousin like 6 years ago for literally 50 €#that same model is like 120€ now

So I hit my 700th edit for the WHA wiki today, because I am a totally normal person

#For the record I have been there for. 27 days.#That makes an average of 26 edits a day which is even more terrifying because I definitely was not updating every day #Also this is for the Telepedia Wiki not the Fandom one #Anyway you should check it out!#In maybe a week because the website cache is super slow for some reason when you're not logged in #But I'm having fun #The nice thing about working on a wiki where there's actually other people doing stuff #Is that they can do the boring stuff like character bios and etc while I run around doing the fun stuff like pages on animals and plants #Anyway I was working on the Eldroxen page which are the big fluffy ox from the Silver Eve Procession #And it was so funny collecting info on them from the main series and then checking Kitchen real quick and SURPRISE! THEY'RE EATING IT!#I mean I should have expected this after having watched Dungeon Meshi and yet~~~#Also funny was that I copy+pasted the page coding for one the (food) animals as a template for this giant Mole-worm beast page but #forgot to remove the line about it being for food and afterwards had a laugh and then removed it #But now I'm like. They probably WOULD eat that sucker. Giant mole worm/snake/dragon thing? That'd feed a whole town!#Qifrey could have an entire audience watching how he'd prepare and season it #Anyway if you've been wondering where I've been that's it #Also funny story: during the Covid pandemic I stayed employed when my coworkers got let go because they needed me to catalogue an entire #new set of guided reading books; and have these sets have a digital checkout instead of the old-school card catalog we were literally still #using in 2020. Anyway I went all out with the organization of the books and the boxes and even made a reference binder for the books #via subject so teachers/tutors could find specific subjects and reading levels etc #(I'd have done a digital way to search for results but honestly half the teachers couldn't figure out how to sign in to the laptop. So.)#Anyway. Only a handful of teachers actually used these books and two years later the school switched to a new reading program #that came with its own set of books and lessons so this 10k reading set was essentially unneeded (and my dear coworkers never got rehired)#Anyway I learned last week that they're clearing out that room and all of those barely-used books are getting thrown out 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃#Isn't that funny #Literally everything is just sandcastles built in the surf #I'm so glad I already accepted this during my pumpkin carving years because otherwise I think I'd be upset #Anyway I'm gonna go play my spooky fishing game

Always remember that there are so many free resources and books available online that are waiting to be found.

#even if you're not a student i highly recommend getting a free jstor account which gives you access to 94 articles a month #check out website for your county/country/state etc. library. A lot of books are available there as ebooks and audiobooks #Libraries need to be treasured #My library website has a catalogue of every library book in the country and it's location/status #wikibooks has some free books that i haven't tried out yet but will #and there's loads more i either haven't included here off the top of my head or haven't discovered yet!#the internet is not just for escapism #it's a tool and a place for sharing knowledge #btw i meant to say 100 articles for jstor not 94 (i meant to click 99 but then realised it's actually 100 i think) (either way it's a lot!!)
