Chong Hoy and Jung Hing Kam, who took part as the two protective gunmen in the fusillade of shooting that accompanied the robbery of Quock, a big Chinese gambler at Chemainus recently, must serve their full three-war sentences; also the other three men who actually did the work of knocking the gambler down, stuffing his mouth with grass and then cleaning his pockets of their load of silver half-dollars and quarters, the Justices of the Court of Appeal decided in an unanimous judgment.

idk if this is helpful but i used to see dippers pretty reliably at the forestry pools on the chemainus river, (near duncan). i'd see them on the cowichan river occasionally too. idk how it is now (it's been a few years since ive been there and it's gotten busier over the years) but if you're ever down south it's a good spot to check out!

Oh this is excellent!! I think they’re often seen at the river at Puntledge Park too, but I just don’t get out there that often

I think it’s probably the kinda thing where once you see them once, they’re easier to spot? I find that’s been true for me for a lot of bird species, just knowing exactly where to look for them and how to spot them

I used to struggle so hard to see cedar waxwings but they’re much easier for me to find now :3
