Oh yay, I'm so glad you liked it! ♡ The dream was really cute and I knew I just had to write it, and I agree! Hifumi in his suit and a frilly apron is cute to think about!

I'm glad you like your new place! It's always nice when there's job opportunities, and if you don't have a job at the moment, I hope you find one you enjoy (that pays well too! lol)

I'm feeling much better today than I have been, no more cough, no more sore throat! I just have a stuffy nose now and have been sneezing a lot, with a slight headache. I've been staying home and called off work as I don't want to get others sick, and luckily my boss was understanding! Thank you for asking how I'm doing, I appreciate it! (and thank you for the well wishes too!)

Oh...my heart...Rosho!! This is so good omg! Waiting to leave with me, the students starting rumors, going drinking with him on the weekends, Rei and Sasara sneaking around to hype him up!!!!! I! I love this so much omg I am eating this up, this is like a 5 star meal ahhhhh my heart!! ♡

I like the idea of Rosho inviting me for drinks and Sasara and Rei just...inviting themselves and joining us lol I don't really drink that much (as I don't really like the taste of alcohol lol) but when I do I usually get mixed drinks, the kinds that are fruity and don't really taste like alcohol (like a screwdriver or a pineapple upside down. I know there's a cake by the same name but a pineapple upside down is a cocktail with pineapple juice, cherry juice, cake flavored vodka, and a few other things. It's very good! My mom recommended it to me as I had never heard of it before, but I recommend it if you like sweet mixed drinks! I'm sorry Hifumi but I don't like champagne! Please forgive me!)

Would I drink whatever drink Rosho got me? Absolutely. The same applies to Hitoya, even if it's whiskey I'll do my best to stomach it for him! ♡

Cardcaptor Sakura is one of my favorite animes! I absolutely love the designs, the art style, the characters, the animation! And it is very 90's yes lol Other shojo animes/manga I really like include Fruits Basket, Lovely Complex, Princess Jellyfish, Full Moon wo Sagashite (this one holds a special place in my heart!), and Kimi ni Todoke!

I think Rei and Sasara invite themselves to your dates like in romcoms. They wear sunglasses and big coats thinking you won't notice them sitting at the table next to you to pretty much chaperone your date haha. Rosho is a lil' sweaty and nervous but he is bursting with joy on the inside from the fact you agreed to go on a date with him!! Ahhhh I get it too!! I'm not a big alcohol person, I like social drinking. I don't like strong drinks and sadly I got sick off of whiskey (Fireball my beloved) so I stick to frufru sweet drinks. I just had this mega yum blue vodka lemonade ahhhh it was so yum. I think Rosho would nervously offer you a sip of his drink if you wanted to try it but the thought of someone as polite as him drinking a huge beer paired with a cute flowery drink like yours... It's very aesthetically pleasing to me. OHHHH THE KITTY COVERED IN KISSES!!!!!!!! Rosho's life has been changed he never wants to scrub your lipstick marks off!!!!!!!

I think my absolute FAVE 'vintage' anime would be the OG Sailor Moon. Also I love Princess Jellyfish the kids of today would never understand the amazement of watching/reading it for the first time. My favorite Shojo manga... It's kinda lame but I love Say I Love You. I have a super fond memory of watching it in my tiny bedroom when I was younger and loving the dynamic of aggie loner girl and the super cute popular boy is so insanely in love with her it makes him dumb. Ughhh highly recommend reading it the anime is great too but I'm a big manga purist.

rn Ive crocheted some pomegranates for Persephone (can’t leave out actual food offerings lol) and I try to keep some coins in a jar for Hades- my altar is also in memory of my two cats who have passed on, so I always try to honor the dead, but Im always looking for more ideas and little things to do ^^

Ways of Worshipping Kore/Lady Persephone

(Hades post coming soon)

- pick flowers and put them on her altar

- fake flowers work just as well!

- go on hikes to waterfalls and rivers

- connect with nature, this can just mean going on a walk once in a while and just listening to the sounds and admiring the things you see

- pick up rubbish you find in nature and dispose of it correctly

- wear a flower crown or make one for her

- bones (ethically sourced)

- pomegranate / pomegranate imagery

- pomegranate juice, hot chocolate, wine or even just water!

- ram, bat, parrots/birds and monkey imagery

- even small toys and stuffed animals of her associated animals! (Don't necessarily have to be kept on the altar but, loved and taken care of in honour of her)

- learn the different facets of Persephone as a goddess, she was not only a goddess of spring and fertility but the Queen of the underworld, believed sometimes to have as much control over the underworld and the dead as Hades himself, she was also sometimes considered a judge alongside, King Minos, Rhadamanthus and Aeacus

- learn to forgive yourself

- go zero waste or find ways to make your home more eco friendly! (This can mean beeswax wraps instead of plastic bags and cling wrap, a basket or reusable bag, soap/shampoo/conditioner bars, natural loofahs etc)

- learn and embrace your feminine aspects (even if you are masc identifying, it is rewarding to be in touch with both your feminine and masculine aspects)

- get dolled up! Do your makeup and hair, get dressed up really fancy just for yourself! Go take some photos outside hun, you look amazing!

- dried fruit! (This can be done using a food dehydrator or putting them in the oven on a low temp for a few hours)

- learn to coexist with he dark parts of your personality and your painful emotions, it takes both good and "bad" to be complete

- put coins on her altar, bonus points if you find them on the ground outside

- give her a pretty rock you found outside! She'll love it

- spend time in cemeteries, this as a way of honouring her, the dead and her husband, while also spending time out in nature

- honour the dead, this may mean donating to funeral homes or just lighting a candle or some incense to remember those in your life that have passed

- make art! Include symbolism of both death and life, decay and nature, they go hand in hand

- help out at a community garden!

- have houseplants! Or outdoor plants! Whatever works for you!

- celebrate the coming of fall and the coming of spring

- remove yourself and guide others out of toxic and unhealthy situations

- wear floral scented perfumes!

- try and get up and ready everyday, face the morning with the sun and the sounds of Nature

- learn about herbalism!

- write poetry!

- sing songs and make dedicated playlists!

- wear her associated colours! Green, black, light blue, purple, magenta, indigo, and yellow!

- wear floral printed clothes / jewellery

- heal your relationship with food, incorporate colour and variety into your diet if you can (my favourites are cucumber and cream cheese, apple and peanut butter, grapes and cheese etc, they have wonderful flavour and add variety into your diet)

The Sprudge Coffee Guide To Zürich

After years in the doldrums, the coffee scene in Zürich has in recent years exploded in multiple directions. The range of venues to drink coffee is diverse and punches above its weight for this relatively small city. It makes for a surprising mix of spots, whether you’re after the choicest cup, best atmosphere, or somewhere to make your Instagram feed pop.

The traditional coffee in Zürich is called a café crème. It’s a medium-sized drink, Italian-style espresso with around 50% hot water. It’s served with a basket of gipfli (small croissants) available on the table, alongside a small chocolate and a tumbler of tap water.

But tradition is only half of the story in Zürich. Like elsewhere around the world, there’s been a new wave of shops in recent years. Here the emphasis is on quality ingredients, knowledgeable staff, and well-designed interiors. Think wooden boards for plates, handmade cups, and industrial style. Because of the hot summers, and despite long winters, Zürchers love to sit outside. So most cafes will offer al fresco drinking, often with a sheepskin rug for comfort, and a box of blankets to choose from for warmth.

The selection of shops below takes quality coffee as a starting point, but I’ve chosen some spots as much for their ambience or distinctiveness in the scene. Speaking with many of the owners, they highlighted a small but passionate nascent coffee scene and optimism for what it held for the future.

ACID

Zürich’s Langstrasse is the heart of the city’s nightlife, a melting pot where some of the most exciting restaurants and bars are. Making a bid for the award for most photogenic coffee shop is ACID. With its pink walls, homemade furniture, rotating art, and neon, people looking to capture a perfect coffee moment here are spoiled for choice. Deeply supportive of the local artistic community, co-owner Yann Gurtner wants ACID to be a “constant changing piece of art.” On a warm day you can take in the ever-changing, colorful scene on the street outside and Helvetiaplatz across the road.

Coffee comes from micro-roastery Miro, located just around the corner. They make a special roast of their Melbourne-inspired beans for ACID, from Honduras Santa Rosa Copan arabica beans. From this you can get an indulgently syrupy mixture of tropical fruits and milk chocolate. These are crafted on a La Marzocco Linea PB, and served on a wooden plate with a homemade jasmine tea palate cleanser.

MAME

Quite rightly, this shop is proud of its World Brewers Cup champion barista Emi Fukahori. The trophy on the shelves of the Seefeld branch is proudly displayed. But even more striking are the Goat Story Gina machines used for filter coffees and teas. These are delicately tended to with a wooden paddle by the baristas—the most knowledgeable in the city.

Fukahori founded MAME with her partner, two-time World Barista Championship Finalist Mathieu Theis, after they met (appropriately) at a barista championship in 2015. The pair “dreamed of having a cafe where we can celebrate such coffees.” And so they founded MAME together in 2016, opening a branch on Josefstrasse (near both ACID and Miro). MAME means beans in Japanese, a nod to Fukahori’s heritage.

The Seefeld branch followed in 2018, here you can sit at the communal table or browse the selection of high-end bikes; yes, this shop doubles as a cycle store. The cups are handmade works of art, by French ceramicists Jars, and are available to buy too.

As you’d expect from the barista pedigree behind the shop, taste is all-important. Three roast choices are available to customers, helpfully plotted on a flavor wheel on the wall. This is a great spot to try coffee from local roasters Vertical Coffee, founded by a team of Swiss climbers.

For a real adventure, try a flight of coffee, espresso or filter trio. Oh, and you must try their “crazy blend” if you want to have an interesting morning…

Bros Beans & Beats

The coffee in BBB is as smooth as the music. While the tunes have a distinctly hip-hop flavor, the espressos are a fine balance between fruitiness, acidity, and bitterness. And, dropping in like a guest MC, there’s a rotating line-up of seasonal roasts available too.

With backgrounds in the luxury hotel industry, co-founders Andreas Di Sario and Sezer Oezenir place emphasis on great service. There��s no doubt the waiters here are more attentive than elsewhere in the city, when your presence can feel like an inconvenience. “The coffee scene in Zürich is quite young, as it takes a while til hypes and new trends arrive here in Switzerland,” Di Sario says. These two are bringing some of that hype themselves—their shop logo is a silhouette of their likenesses complete with beards and baseball caps.

There’s a lot of space in this shop, yet it retains a homely feel. The warmth is enhanced by the Acme tableware, and what could be more welcoming than the sight of a Victoria Arduino Black Eagle dominating the bar? The team works with local roaster Henauer to keep things on point.

ViCafe

Until recently, takeaway coffee was just not “a thing” in Zürich. Perhaps due to the genteel nature of life, or the Italian influence, people tended to sit for their coffees, and take their time. But alongside a handful of hole-in-the wall hatches around town, ViCafe has emerged as a success story.

The ViCafe journey started on the vineyard-lined riverbank village of Eglisau near the Swiss border with Germany. The company originally revived the vintage “Vivi Kola” cola brand, which is itself another success story. From this venture, a microroaster emerged, and soon grew to take over the old Eglisau railway station. Now expanded to nearby Zürich, there are six takeaway locations around town.

At the prominent Bellevue spot in the heart of the city, the queue is a permanent fixture. There’s no shame in ordering an iced latte from here: take it with you on a stroll down the lake, with a view of the alps towering above, and you’ll feel like a king.

Piazza

Representing Zürich cafe heritage is Piazza. With tables spreading into idyllic Idaplatz, this is one of those places to while away the hours. There’s nothing unique about the coffees here, but they are about at “Zürich” as you can get: a café crème is served with a small dark chocolate on the side.

It’s the perfect accompaniment to watch the locals playing petanque, kids zooming around on their scooters, or just gaze up at the trees—which boast spectacular cherry blossoms in the spring. It’s one of those places where time stands still and all is right with the world. Located in a residential area, it’s hidden from tourists and is something of a neighborhood hangout.

The interior is a mishmash of retro design, with examples of the mid-century furniture found in the city’s myriad vintage shops. The black-and-white bar is something of a signature, as are the multicolored tables and chairs that catch the morning sun. In the adjoining shop you can buy olive oils and balsamic vinegars, migrate onto an ice-cream from Gelateria Bi Berna, or something alcoholic from neighbors Calvados. This is the kind of cafe where great days begin.

Monocle Cafe

When Monocle magazine decided to make Zürich its permanent base, the company wanted to make a statement. Monocle is the magazine of choice for the jet-setting bachelor, with a Swiss lifestyle of ski weekends, outrageously expensive watches, and modest style. Naturally, the cafe fits perfectly with this demographic.

For the design-conscious visitor to Zürich this is something of a pilgrimage. Their space is everything you’d expect: sophisticated and stylish. It’s a perfect spot to sit and read (or buy from) their array of magazines, and if you’re so inclined, browse their range of clothes and dream that you could afford them.

Monocle’s editor Tyler Brule is often present, as behind a mysterious sliding door are the offices of the magazine, and the spot where they record their podcasts.

Sihl Records

This is another shop where the tunes are as important as the coffee. Sihl Records is a local haunt for Zürich’s thriving tech-house scene, which includes mega clubs Supermarket and Hive, as well as shop’s neighbor Freida’s Büxe (arguably one of the world’s finest nightclubs). Zürich also hosts Europe’s largest techno festival, the annual “Street Parade,” so there’s a constant stream of world-class DJs passing through town. You’d wager most of them drop by here for an espresso. They’ll also be able to shop the store’s discerning selection of house and techno vinyl, previewing it on the store’s pair of Technics turntables. In-store sessions of visiting DJ’s are recorded and streamed on YouTube.

Tucked down an unassuming side-street, this shop demonstrates the wide range of coffee experiences to be found in Zürich.

Miro

Some of the pioneers of the Zürich coffee scene, Miro’s founders dared to roast speciality coffee five years ago, when (almost) no one else was. Customers first found their seasonal roasts through their coffee truck, which toured the city.

Miro sources through a variety of importers, offering around 15 different seasonal coffees annually, with four or five on at any given time.

The team here is serious about coffee, so you’ll find drinks like cortados, cold brew available on tap, and coffee-inspired cocktails. In-house barista Ivan Pepe Marin developed the cocktails himself, and they make a trip to the city’s lively Kreis 4 area worthwhile alone.

The space itself is industrial and minimal; the machinery and drinks speak for themselves. As well as functioning as a cafe, you can watch roasters in action and participate in workshops—this really is a serious coffee lover’s destination.

Co-founder Daniel Sanchez is buoyant about Zürich’s ability to compete among the big boys in the coffee world, “We tend to be humble in Zürich and look up what bigger cities like Berlin, Copenhagen, and London are doing. But I don’t think we have to hide.”

hey guys i made a sword!

i honestly didnt think id have enough time to make the sword cause like i started this yesterday and all i did today was some repaints after making it taller lol

yeah its for Halloween and yeah its gillion fucking tidestriders sword BUT NOT DESTINYS BLADE!

i enjoy the redesign, but have more supplies for earlier gillion and shit, so i give the warrior his proper sword! maybe he'll get it out jaysons chest now...

wanted to post them all but i knew id forget so magical girl jay ferin first

couple of details!

-the top skirt layer is meant to be see-through, just a cool effect

-originally i was gonna do a clown inspired skirt but i tried colors for it (did not work)

-the orange skirt train is meant to look similar to her hair, would probs change that in the future though

-the bottom of the trail is feathers like apples

-the hair and bag belt are the og design details

-i tried matching the shirt to the glass colors, turquoise and yellow! did not go well...

-the gloves are special and have holes, i wanna change em now

will i do a redesign? yes. one hundred percent yes. next time itll be online though. am i gonna do the others online? hell no!

RAHH HELLO OKAY (you dont have to post/ use this ask as a way to show your art (if you create it) btw, in fact it would probably be better formatting wise if you didnt dfghdffhgdf /nf)

i would recommend reading this the whole way through... i dont know if im gonna structure this well at all

my favourite scene is either the albatrio lying in a circle in the gardens OR gill and chip sitting in silence (madly blushing) and looking at the sea in the cove just after gill gives chip the necklace lmaoo

but out of those two its the second 100%

the cove itself is like a hole/ cave in the side of a cliff. its open to the ocean and they are both sitting at the edge of this open area, their feet wouldnt be in the water bc theres like a meter and a half gap between the floor of the cove and the sea

gills corals are a little glow-y, same as chips necklace and they are either looking at the sea or like looking forward but at each other with their eyes OR theyre like properly insanely blushing and theyre both facing like away from eachother (god this probably makes no sense)

neither of them are wearing crowns but gill is wearing a lot (not too much though ykyk keep it classy) of pearl jewellery and has pearlescent accents on his clothes, his hair is down and pretty long. he has the same sort of clothes he wares under is armour on, but its more regal/ rich looking???

chip has shoulder length wavy hair and its a bit puffy and all over the place (bc he fell over fhdkfhsdk L ) he has some kind of coat type thing? like a waistcoat but not quite...? idk how to describe it. he also has the necklace on and one of those prince/pirate type shirts with the big poofy sleeves and he has a braid w/ gold beads in.

the cave probably would have some kind of turquoise-y lighting if you want to do anything with that!!

please ask me if you want something cleared up/ more info bc im so sleepy and this probably makes no sense...

thid ask has haunted me for the longest time NOT because i didnt work on it but because i kept forgetting to post it. it is time.
