✨🌷The Spring Goddess 🌷✨
Growing up, my family celebrated the Spring Equinox by decorating eggs and leaving gifts to welcome the goddess as she brought the new season 🌸 Happy Spring! 🌱

Day 31: Repostober
Tumblr media
An old art I'm still really fond of. :]
This is Aer, the goddess of spring (among other things).
I don't have a similar portrait for Tellus (her sibling, the god of autumn) or else I would've put them here instead. Alas! Maybe I should get to that.
This is the last of my Repostober's. I accidentally saved this to my drafts instead of scheduling it! Fuck!

I had made this outfit a couple years ago, and grabbed it out of my closet to wear at Elfia Arcen a couple weeks ago. It's pretty lightweight and comfortable, even though the fabrics are like 80% polyester (the white lining is cotton). The veil was actually a shawl kind of thing that went with my wedding dress; I repurposed it for this outfit, it clips into my hair behind the flower crown.

I was looking up the meaning of lily of the valley (you know like the language of flowers), and google showed a highlighted sentence that it is the flower of the virgin goddess Ostara.
Tumblr media
I know we don't have much information on Ostara/Eostre, but I've never seen anything before about her being a virgin goddess. Does anyone out there know if this is true? I am unable to find any valid resources.

Big fan of how this one turned out 🥰 it's sturdy but light, and catches the light beautifully.
This ended up being my Spring crown, made out of materials I was lucky enough to be gifted for free. The moment I saw the materials I knew what I wanted to do with them 😍 I had wanted to add chains to this, but I'm not confident with that quite yet. I'm hoping an upcoming crown will teach me how!
Lessons learned from this crown:
It's very important to have the crown on a head when planning stuff like crossing rays
🌸 Try to plan ahead for concerns regarding lopsided balance
🌸 A solid, sturdy foundation really makes these a joy to wear!
