Lycoris that Blazes the Earth 💋

I recently (FINALLY) got a copy of Kuromyu 2015 and have been watching the behind the scenes extras. Lycoris is such an important musical to me, even though Ciel and Sebastian aren't the focal point of its story which follows the Red Butler arc. I had to sketch something to put all my Big Emotions somewhere.

It was unintentional, but I ended up with going for a "tango of rejected intimacy" vibe, with Ciel almost pushing away (despite having given Sebastian a kiss), and Sebastian leaning fully into the smallest inclination of intimacy and capturing it. I also learned into the idea of Ciel falling away from his familial ties into a deeper corruption with the devil that we see at the end of the arc.

Anyway, this was a very lazy sketch. But I love them. ❤️

Surprise surprise Kuro fandom, after years and years I’m finally starting to transcribe some of the Chi ni Moeru Lycoris pieces. I figured I’d start off with something easy to get myself back into it if I do in fact decide to do any of the more complicated pieces, but we’ll see. *Use headphones for optimal listening since I haven’t mastered it for speakers yet!*

So anyway, here’s a preview of the transcription/arrangement of Michi ni Mayowanai You ni (Don’t Lose Your Way/So That You Don’t Lose Your Way/however you want to translate it) I’m working on right now. With any luck it’ll be finished within the month. Technically you could just rip the DVD menu music for the instrumental version, but it’s not super high quality and it’s just a hair below key. I’m positive that’s intentional, but it still bothers me.

It feels good to be working on music again after so long. Enjoy!

Greetings everyone, I am Yuya Matsuhita, the actor who was given the opportunity to have the role of Sebastian Michaelis from 2009 to 2014 in the hit anime musical "Kuroshitsuji". Being able to have the lead role of Sebastian Michaelis for such a long period of time from the age of 19 as my first musical debut role and up till I was 24, which above all things difficult was something irreplaceable, has become a valuable experience. To the original creator of Kuroshitsuji, Yana Toboso sensei, all the KuroMyu cast members I had worked with up till now, staff members, and above all, the cherished fans of the Kuroshitusji Musical who always offer me support, I can't express my feelings of gratitude enough. From now on I will make good use of the experience and skills I have gained from KuroMyu for other ventures. For 2015, I have decided to take a break from my theatre activities, and focus more on the activities of my newly produced group "X4". This year's Kuroshitusji Musical - The Licorice Which Blazes the Earth, which will begin in November will have a new Sebastian, so please do look forward to that! I will continue to love Kuroshitsuji, a great work, and I hope I will also be able to gain support from it as before. Even now, I look forward to the future Kuroshitsuji Musicals.

ifyouresosmart and I just ordered our Animate exclusive editions of Chi ni Moeru Lycoris. Ha. Ha. WE'RE NOT EXCITED AT ALL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Also, to everyone in the fandom: I'm pretty sure リコリス is supposed to be lycoris, not licorice. That's what Madame Red's hair was likened to in the manga/anime, despite what the typical kana reading says. This has been a katakana psa with Aarri who is now, unfortunately, back with one foot in the door of this insane fandom. - v -
