On the much anticipated Veera Dheera Sooran, Chiyaan Vikram and SU Arun Kumar, the director of Chittha fame, worked together for the first time. Hi everyone, I visited Thillai Natarajar Temple, Chidambaram, last week. I would like to share my experiences while I try to explore this wonderful art temple (in relation to Tai chi😊). While admiring on the architecture itself, I could see a strange symbol engraved in one of the four main pillars right infront of the main deity hall (Golden roof hall). It is the symbol, we call, "Yin-Yang". Yes, it is. I don't have the picture though (Photographers not allowed 🙅) For a moment, I'm stunned! and surprised! I was already curious to understand the temple's marvellous piece of architecture, which is the purpose of my visit. On seeing "Yin Yang" symbol, my curiosity level had gone all the way up to sky high😃. The temple is one of the oldest temples in India built around 10th century by Cholas. I'm admired how this idea of "Ying-Yang" could have been spread to these ancient architects in Chidambaram? With questions and confusions, my thoughts were wavering unstoppable. I sat for few moments to relax in meditation. After a while, I could visualise some convincing answers myself (though not sure,😊). Ofcourse the temple should give some answers as I can see in wiki the name of this temple literally means "Atmosphere of Wisdom"😉 Probably 1000 years ago, there would have been minimum people who could have been engaged with each other via trade. It is in these times the ideology of Shaivisim/Taoism could have met and exchanged their ideas. I guess so,😃 Even in Saivisim, we hear similar ideas like "Shiva - Sakthi". In Tamil we write Shiva as சிவா. "சி" - Chi means: Chittha, stillness, no life, body, external. "வ"- being ( to remain). Can say, Body with no life. Sakthi - Means "Full of energy"; Internal. There is a famous saying in Tamil "சிவமில்லையேல் சக்தியில்லை; சக்தியில்லையேல் சிவமில்லை" Above one can be translated as "There couldn't exist any Energy without any Body and there couldn't exist any Body without any Energy" This way of argument can also be related to "Yin - Yang" as well. I have gone little deep awkwardly,😃 to see "Yin - Yang" as "இங்கே - அங்கே" in Tamil. Meaning, "Here - There", "Near - Far",...🤯 Kinda mad thought isn't.
