Finishing off cats from Mapleshade's Vengence with Deerdapple, Thrushtalon, and Rabbitfur from Thunderclan. Oatspeckle is Ravenwing's dead mentor. Then is cats from Goosefeather's Curse: Heatherstar, Gorsefoot (her deputy), Chiveclaw (medicine cat, Hawkheart's mentor), and Hawkheart from Windclan, Doestar and her dead sister Deerpaw, Cloudberry (medicine cat, formerly Riverclan), Hollypelt, Littlestep, Rockfall, Mistpelt, Weedwhisker, and Mumblefoot from Thunderclan. Houndstar is Shadowclan's leader, Volestar is Riverclan's, and Echosnout is Riverclan's medicine cat, Cloudberry's mentor.

Medics of WindClan: Chiveclaw

Seemingly a clone of his father, Chiveclaw is a short furred, broken mackerel brown tabby tom. He was happy for his brother when he became a medic and became one of WindClan best’s guards. He took an interest in Curlytuft, a moor runner and he often fought battles with her by his side. They were the best of friends and no one was surprised when they announced that they would be mated the day they were made warriors together.

Chiveclaw was devastated by the death of his brother and grieved for him hard. He gave the life of a guard and took up the mantle of medic in his brother’s honor.

Just getting my ducks in a row and making a "concept" of succession in my head... in-canon, we don't know who came before Heatherstar. We see two of the lives she gets in her name ceremony, but there's no leaders giving her one.

So I've decided to smack Smallstar in that space, since I've reworked the law to protect kittens.

Swiftstar is the leader who oversees the exile of SkyClan. Larkstripe refuses to treat him because she goes on strike to protest it. Dalestar codifies the Cleric's Vow into law to break the strike, and ruled through Ripplestar's Rot.

When Larkstripe died of a broken heart, Thrushbreeze takes over after her. She's Thrushpelt from Tallstar's Revenge, renamed because of a conflict with the Thrushpelt we all know and love from ThunderClan. In canon she's dead before Heatherstar takes power, I may or may not hold to that.

But anyway, Chiveclaw is the Cleric that follows her, and then Hawkheart after him. I'm also going with Hawkheart having once been a warrior; there's a continuity error that suggested Hawkpaw was always a Cleric apprentice.

And, that brings us to the modern era.

In BB, Barkface is killed in the beginning of TNP, when the Mothermouth collapses on top of him and Mudfur. There is no Cleric in WindClan for almost a year, until Kestrelflight is born and trained by StarClan.

Aaaaand that's succession so far! Until canon drops Heatherstar's predecessor on me like a ton of bricks, lmao.

I always forget Whistlepaw is a girl and I think it's because there just hasn't been a female Windclan medicine cat since pre Tallstars revenge since it's only been Hawkheart-Barkface-Kestrelflight-Whistlepaw it's been a boy's only club for like 10+ years lol

It goes further than that, Hawkheart’s medicine cat mentor was a tom named Chiveclaw. We don’t know who his mentor was. But given the timeline we might be able to assume it could have been Larkwing, who was the medicine cat during Mapleshade’s Vengeance, who was also a tom. But that all depends on how old Chiveclaw was since Larkwing would have been very old by the time Mapleshade’s Vengeance rolled around seeing as he witnessed the exile of SkyClan. There easily could have been another medicine cat between Chiveclaw and Larkwing.

I’ve never thought about this before, it’s just absolutely wild that the current traceable line of WindClan medicine cats have all been male until now.

Got his name “Hawk” after his father sacrificed his life to a hawk

His tail was ripped up due to a dog attack that his mentor left unsupervised and spent most his time in chiveclaw’s den

The son of an unknown tom and Heatherstep/star, the brother of Lilywhisker

Moor runner -> Tunneler -> Windclan’s medcat

His mentor Nightwake didn’t pay too much attention to him due to having a awful relationship with Hawk’s father beforehand, Hawk didn’t treat Nightwake when he came in dying one day

Has a more brutal outlook on things (practically canon) and heals his inner anger for everything by aggression, which is what attracted Goosefeather but seemingly stopped when Wisteriaflower was a victim in Hawk’s paws

Was with Goosefeather mainly because he saw Goosefeather as an escape from medcat life he was thrown into and Goose needed a rebound and liked Hawk’s aggression like i said lol

I have so much more lore and hcs for hawm but this is like… not the right place to say them all just AGGHHH
