So finished Unknown and absolutely loved it 10/10. But can we get an explanation about why there is this adorable photo of Qian and Yuan with the BABY in the end credits photos but we did not get a single scene of it! Not even a short snippet! Like come on! My heart would have exploded from the cuteness!
Alright everyone, I kid you not when I say that after going halfway through the first episode, I stopped watching this series. A month later, I watched another 5 minutes of the first episode and once again stopped watching. Two weeks later, I decided to keep watching because I wanted to know what the hype was all about. And after finishing the series in one day, I finally understand why everyone is going crazy after this series.
Seriously, not only have Chris and Kurt played their roles to absolute perfection, but also each and every character in the story did a great job at expressing themselves. But I personally would have loved more screentime for LiLi and Qian. I mean, every time they have a fight, everything sort of resolves itself. But I wanted to see the siblings be more open to each other. The scene where Qian compares Lili to their Mom, has no significance at all on the siblings' relationship.
And finally, it's so amazing that both Chris and Kurt already knew other and Chris has watched Kurt grow up. So, they already have a bond and it shows. In my personal opinion, this series is definitely worth watching.
I hope Chris and Xuan stay together for a long time.
Their relationship seems so comfortable, loving, supportive..
And I don't necessarily mean this in a romantic way. Just being together as friends. Brothers. I hope they can work together more as well. Again, not necessarily in romantic or bl roles.
I know some comic book readers are upset to learn Mystique and Destiny are Nightcrawler’s biological parents, but personally, I think that it is fantastic. When I learned of Chris Claremont’s idea to make the couple Kurt’s parent years ago, I thought it was strange, cool, and would NEVER be allowed at Marvel Comics. So as a queer kid disappointed that this revelation was scrapped in favor of making Azazel Kurt’s father, I found this retcon especially delightful. Is it convoluted? Yes. Is it awesome? Also yes. Sorry, not sorry, Internet trolls. This type of inclusivity and acceptance are exactly what I’ve loved about X-Men for decades. Kudos to Si Spurrier for making it canon. 👏
Here's the "Special Version" of Qian & Yuan Love scene without the flashback...enjoy 😉
That "You don't even know what I dream of at night" still gets me everytime 😎🙌
P.S.: This "alternative version" has been released directly by Youku, it's not fanmade because "someone couldn't stand the fact that they grow up together like brothers"...just to be clear 😉
Some wants are like daydreams, beyond one's reach. Living only in your fantasies. Wandering if you could, if you should put an end to it once and for all.
In the whirlwind of emotions of this episode I howled in laughter when Yuan patted Qian’s head and purposefully tap danced on his seniority. Qian was so shocked he used Boo’s full government name.
Really love Wolvie in the red but also finding out that it’s been this long and no one’s ever even asked is so. Y’all be better friends to this poor man.
