I'm thinking of making Devil Eyes Officer Y/N a smoker, not like a chain smoker, but one who had previously smoked before joining the police academy and had quit, and then once inflicted with Eclipse's torment, turned back to smoking as an unhealthy coping mechanism (this would also include, of course, Eclipse's reaction to such a thing (he does not like it)), but, I'm afraid this will be a turnoff?? for readers?? so let me just ask

funnily enough the easiest context to think of a "face family" situation in the strongest sense of the last word (to me) would be like. specifically thanksgiving because it's The american "family reunion" bullshit holiday (to me) (the idea of how things are "supposed" to be is vital for this concept.), and ame and cana get a 2-3 total of their bored friends mixed into it too, and then fruk argue about stupid shit in the kitchen for half an hour and everyone pretends they don't hear it through the wall, until at some point france goes "well at least the boys have each other's backs!" all passive aggressive and someone snickers a little too loudly from the living room.

will never not be boggling to me that ppl see smoking (tobacco) as more of a red flag/deal breaker than drinking like..?? smoking smells bad and kills u faster..? drinking does that and more.. and actually affects how u treat ppl around u (sometimes). im not saying every1 who drinks is abusive or alcoholic obv im just saying the potential risk for drinking vs. smoking in a partner is.. not even close

one of the kids at work never listens or does what he's told and we have like the same problems with him every day so the other staff all kind of hate him at this point so they'll yell at him for doing extremely minor shit and today he said "how come you're the only staff member who cares about me" and it made me really fucking sad but it's not like I can tell the grown adults I work with what to do so I just have no idea how to help the situation
