Twenty years ago, one of my absolute favorite games released in Japan. One year later, I would pull some of the shadiest shit involving bad grades and a white out pen in order to get my hands on a gamecube-- to which I spent countless nights over the years pulling allnighters with friends (with the assistance of Doritos and a variety of mountain dew), create stupid ass OCs and """"original"""" comics, roleplay as one of its main villains-- Pokemon Colosseum holds a huge place in my heart.

It's weird that I still have that on my phone. Back in my Pokémon phase, Nascour x Ein was my Colosseum OTP. I may have been the only one shipping them, since this ship doesn't even have a name.

Granted, Snattle's placement is debatable here. He likes blaming Gorgor and Lov instead of taking responsibility, but I read this combination as "I'm having fun with my politician gig because my perfect plans worked out", so it may fit him after all :)

OK, so I had an unusual dream yesterday. (this is another random Pokémon topic)

I’m in Pyrite Town (a prominent location in Pokémon Colosseum), and all of a sudden, the four Cipher Admins start swarming the town in search of Regieleki. Little did they realize, it was a hoax. I can’t imagine the looks on their faces! 😂

This article addresses pokémon abuse within the Unova Police Force.

It's no secret that pokémon working with the UPD have a history of being unnaturally violent. The leak of February 28th brought light as to why.

While the precise process of creating a shadow pokémon hasn't been revealed to the public, its inventor described it as "shutting the door to their hearts". Shadow pokémon were found to show heavy signs of trauma, often struggled to show any emotion at all, and would not sleep, eat or drink unless prompted by their handler.

Any practice that involves "Shutting off a pokémon's emotions" has since been deemed abuse and criminalized worldwide.

Among the files, we've found emails aimed at new recruits, instructing to "suppress" their pokémon's emotions.

A digital document contained a list of references consulted for pokémon training; some of which including former team Cipher admins Ein and Lovrina.

This leak contains enough evidence to justify an aura reader check on every Pokémon working for the UPD.

Just another day at the Shadow Pokémon Lab

At the very end of the SPL, we met Ein, last of the Cipher Admins and the one spearheading the creation of the Shadow Pokémon. Needlessly to say, he needed to be taken down.

His team is built around rain, and he would have capitalized on it more had I not used two ground types to stop him from Thunder spamming. One of which being Bogmarm, who is immune to water, to boot. Cernunnos was also taught Thunder, so I was able to abuse the weather to my favor and turn things around, too.

This is not to say the battle was easy, though, his team has enough variety and confusion tactics that he still threw me for a loop. Overall a really fun battle, probably the hardest I've had in the game thus far. His Shadow Raikou was the last Legendary Beast we had to snag to complete the set.

Cipher Admin Ein after creating what is essentially a new type that happens to hit all others for super effective damage

that post about gym leaders tweeting that rock and ground are the same type is funny but do you think this has ever been like a point of contention for biologists in the pokemon world. like the way the fairy type wasn’t discovered until recent years and was misclassified as normal type for most of history. do you think professors in the pokemon universe argue over whether certain pokemon have been mistyped or if certain types may actually not exist at all

As per the last reblog, we forwarded your inquiry regarding withdrawal symptoms to the Cipher R&D Dept. Cipher Admin Ein states that, while seemingly extreme, the symptoms you described are not surprising considering the "egregious" misuse of drugs and medication in Orre, combined with pollution and other environmental factors. He suggests handing your partner over to the lab for further study and, uh, "medical assistance".

This is just a sum up for Rivals and NPCs. They will get their own separate pages with more details about them.

These are some of the characters you will encounter throughout your journey

Professor Iris Arcadia: She is the professor of the Dranowa region. She studies pokemon and is currently investigating the phenomena of Dual Type Moves (this is a new feature for the game). Her lab is located in a small rural town called Rowanoak with her two children. 

She's currently married to a former Cipher admin named Ein. He's not home often but does drop by from time to time.

Alvis: He is the professor's son and one of your rivals. He has an obsession with the extraterrestrial and paranormal much to the annoyance of his sister. He tries to steal Cosmo from Trevor to prove that he's a legendary pokemon but eventually gives up after the first encounter with Team Nova and helps you on your journey to stop them.

His ace pokemon is a Astraleon

His character was inspired by Dib from Invader Zim.

 Pandora: Alvis's sister. She just sits at home all day and does nothing. Don't make her mad or you'll regret it.

She's rumored to be one of the strongest trainers in Dranowa. She'll also give you a Genesect if you manage to beat her in a battle.

She was inspired by Gaz.

Trevor: A mysterious kid who has a mysterious pokemon. He has flaming orange hair and is a friendly person. He seems to have a connection to the group Team Nova and is being hunted by a strange figure.

Once you defeat Team Nova, there is an optional battle against him where you'll get a Nebulick egg (this can also be obtained by breeding Galatia and Galattos at the daycare however the one you get from Trevor is unique as it is just like Cosmo and learns an exclusive move, Solarwind Sweep) once you defeat him.

He can also be re-battled post game at Nova HQ once per day.
