My D&D Games Masterpost

I am in and/or running a few different D&D games at the moment, this post is basically to briefly summarize the setting and plot of each.

The Wrongfellas: This is an in-person game I run for my family, using the published Acquisitions Incorporated book that was published for D&D5e several years ago. The party, a franchise called "The Wrongfellas", are currently embroiled in a quest to find and assemble an artifact called The Orrery of the Wanderer to keep it from being used by those who would do evil and ruin Faerun with its powers. However, they are also working for Acquisitions Incorporated, and by extension for Omin Dran, so hi-jinks absolutely happen. Posts about this game will be tagged with "Wrongfellas".

Wyverns & Wagon Trails: This is a game I am running online for some friends of mine. The setting is a homebrew world, where two years before the current game an undead apocalypse struck an empire in the middle of the continent the game takes place on, and the entirety of the empire was presumed to be wiped out. The party, acting as bodyguards for a caravan, ended up in the frontier town of Holeward, where they have began undertaking bounties to pay for their room and board. The crux of this game is essentially "What if D&D took place in the wild west but there were also elements of Fallout: New Vegas in it?" Any posts about this game will be tagged with "W&WT"

💻: Honestly, had the biggest crush on 007. He didn’t understand his feelings until he asked other people around him about the feelings he had.

💻: He asked a lot of questions towards the guidance counselor at his school, specifically, which, led them to taking sexual advantage of him in order to “help” him relieve the urges he was experiencing.

Il Progetto per un Ponte sullo Stretto del Bosforo

Durante il regno del sultano Abdülhamid II, furono realizzate varie opere di ammodernamento. Molte opere rimasero solo su carta. Tra queste ho descritto il progetto per la ristrutturazione di Piazza Beyazit. Questa volta parliamo di quello riguardante un ponte sul Bosforo.

Il progetto venne redatto dall'ingegnere civile francese Ferdinand Arnodin nel 1900 e mirava a costruire un ponte utilizzando la stessa tecnologia dell'acciaio usata per la realizzazione della Torre Eiffel. Il ponte denominato "Cisr-i Hamîdî" (Ponte Hamîdiye) si sarebbe collegato poi alla linea ferroviaria Istanbul - Baghdad che iniziava alla stazione di Haydarpaşa e poi congiurgesi verso tutte le diramazioni ferroviarie. Secondo il voler del sultano doveva diventare possibile "scendere a Vienna prendendo il treno da Medina".

Il ponte era caratterizzato da minareti e cupole e doveva essere utile anche per la difesa militare con le sue torri girevoli munite di cannoni. In questo modo si manteneva sotto controllo il passaggio del Bosforo. Era prevista anche una splendida illuminazione notturna del ponte. I minareti e le torri "rivelavano la gloria e la grandezza degli Ottomani rendendo manifesto all'orizzonte tutto il potere religioso e politico del sultano supremo, il califfo dei musulmani". Su questo ponte doveva essere possibile il passaggio non solo dei treni ma anche di automobili e pedoni.
