Here's something a bit different for you! Every winter I teach am 8 week ink drawing class at @maudekernseugene , and cover a variety of mediums from microns to sumi ink. Yesterday was the last class of the term, and I did a demo piece showing how drybrush effects using a Pentel colorbrush pen can create a painterly effect, and how to add energy and design to a still life composition by incorporating patterns and framing devices. I ended up liking the demo, and stayed in the classroom for awhile after my students left to work on it a but more. Here's the result!
