The way the story goes is, if you take a trip down to the river you’ll find two mischievous kingfishers who’ve just returned from the carnival. Their eyes glisten with glee as they show off their lunch, a prize goldfish that they totally won fair and square. Colourful lights wrap around their perch bringing festive carnival fun to their own riverside home. Experience @bynoahnorrid's whimsical painting titled “Stories By The River” where he takes you down warm summer rivers in the Texas of his memories. I remember that Anterro Alli said that it is imperative for people trying to achieve a genuine, full expression of life (whether you call it individuation, actualization, or whatever)  to make more media than they consume. I find it difficult when, sometimes, making art and magick of any kind (in any media) does not feel like “play”, but more like “work”. It’s almost always easier to passively consume media rather than actively create it. How much do you feel your ratio of consumption to production of media is? Which makes you feel better? Which feels more like Magickal Work? Through these thoughts I have recently been thinking about how The Great Work is not always the fun option. Nigredo states abound, and it appears that they must be worked through to keep moving and progressing. I’m interested in hearing some other viewpoints on this.
