Prologue: The Return Part 1

8 years… that how long it been since everything came to an end…

The war…the loop…the game…it was all over and now you were back home…in your original world.

You was glad that it was over, yet you was bought back to your world too soon. You remember your friends saying their goodbyes and some you didn’t even get the chance to. Going back was not an option no more and you slowly accepted that fact.

As life goes on so did you, you decided to lived your life and choose a path to walk on. So you decided to become a teacher just like him…Mr. Mononobe. A teacher who help their students and guide them to a path of their choice.

Speaking a Mononobe, you still remember his wish he wanted to see. The day you graduate yet sadly he won’t be able to see it.

Speaking of graduation, it was your day that you finally graduate. You spend 4 years in college and was able to pass your classes and now you’ll finally get to be rewarded with a piece of paper…back in Tokyo there was probably a couple of transients who was GIVEN the job without any requirements but oh well, nothing you can do about that.

During the whole Graduation you can’t help but feel lonely…

Everyone friends and families are here to support one another. But you? Yeah don’t really have a “family” to speak of at the moment, but you doing this for you. You want to at least attend and collect what you earn and move on.

At the end, you was alone getting ready to leave. When you notice something…or someone…

After talking to my classmates and said my farewell to all of them. I decided to go outside alone to get some peace and quiet.

Even though I was alone, I couldn’t help but feel a pair of eyes looking at me. As I turn around and see…

(Name): Oh…it happening again.

There stand a figure I know…someone who been showing up like he is actually there, but I know better than to believe since I can’t even touch him.

Mr. Mononobe…not the real one at least. The one standing before me is…not real. It more like an imaginary friend that show up and soon disappear.

(Name): Haunting me again I see, no matter how hard I try to forget you always show up whenever I made some sort of progress.

He didn’t say anything, not like I expected him too anyway. It irritate me to no end, to show up and mess with me, to mock me. The feeling like I had won’t go away and it hurt me deep. I want nothing more to go up and huge him, to feel to warm of his embrace. But I know I can’t no matter how hard I wish for it.

(Name): Please…stop showing up and messing with my head…my heart. I can’t take it anymore. It hurts seeing you, but I can’t help but want to see you and not just you. My friends…that I was force to leave behind. I want to see them all too, but I can’t. A bitter truth I have to swallow.

I couldn’t help but walk up to him with tears falling out of my eyes. My hand reach to touch his cheek.

(Name): Maybe…if there a chance. May there be a day I can once return to Tokyo and start over. Where everyone can meet the real me. Wouldn’t that be nice…

I slowly started to put my hand away, but I notice the figure of Mr. Mononobe starting to move his hand to my.

Mr. Mononobe?: Yes, it would be nice to meet you again, (Name).

He soon disappear leaving me with my own thought to process what just happen.He talk to me. For the first time in so long, I heard his voice that I missed so much.

The day soon come dark and now I spending my last night at the school in the dorms. Everyone already pack up and left or just hanging out one last time before handing their separate ways. I’m just end my room laying down and trying to forget what happen earlier today.

As I was about to sleep my phone suddenly ring. As I reach for it I notice it was a notification about an app that was downloaded…”NEO!SUMMONS”… what?

Before I can think of what to do a message soon pop up on my screen from the app.

Hit-N-Run played at The LHS Class of 1989’s Senior Day assembly before their graduation ceremony. Last night we performed the same songs as we did 30 years ago.  And ‪August 25th‬ marks our 30th anniversary of our first “BIG” show at the L’Anse Town Hall.
