Coat in oil and season salt and pepper, freshly crushed if possible. Rosemary and hints of another fragrant herb maybe used.

At least 160-200°F of flame should be used which takes a hot minute (like 5-9 on each side) or you can go insano style and crank the heat up in that pan. I like living on the edge and prefer higher temperatures and some over cook but that's me.

Watch your meat as you toast them buns. A traditional hamburger bun is nice but you might prefer a sweeter roll or be a deviant like me and attempt a toasted sourdough with some butter spread post toastin'

Tomato, lettuce and onions are usually paired with burger, so if you would like those in your mouth then prepare them now, flip that burg if you haven't yet.

Side note, some people love raw onions but think about what it'd be like if you throw that ring of power into the lava. Get some cook on it? Maybe help it gain perhaps add new flavor? Only for a bit though, don't want to change the onion, nay, the burg's flavor too much. Just enough.

I'm not man of mayo, but a very small, almost unseen layer along with your ketchups and mustards can elevate your experience. One key that can change your game up can be to add on drop of hot sauce onto the top bread slice.

Assemble your creation, bread, meat, cheese(repeat this process if you are going for the forbidden Dagwood technique) towards the top place you vegetation and finally the crowning seal on top to complete your quest.

Bonus points if there's a little learning curve for the reader, who's usually quite independent with taking care of themselves.

Initially it appears as if he's dominant and nurturing, doing little acts of service to express himself to you. But then gradually it becomes more apparent he's seeking your approval and happiness. Every plate of food he places before you at the table, he looks at you quietly. Unblinking. Settling down on his knees to rearrange your cutlery so as to not loom over you. He's not going to his seat until he knows you're happy with him. His eyes glaze over with a sappy soft haze whenever you pet his face and praise him. Feline eyes following you, bristling for approval from his favourite person. It becomes more and more apparent that he's not a dominant person with you- quite the opposite, actually. His attempts at service are clumsy and unpractised, but genuine and eager all the same.

Or maybe a thick arm corded with muscle reaches over you to do up your seatbelt for you- and there's no batting it away. You may lightly squeeze at his bicep, your fingers barely unable to wrap around it as you light-heartedly assure him you're fine, but he'll just look at you apprehensively and frown. Do you not like it when he does this?

His expression pointed and stern, yet flickering with something vulnerable that only you can pinpoint by the crease in his eyes and furrowed brows. Assure him by pressing a kiss to his face and patting his bicep. Thank you honey. Remember your seatbelt too, my love.

No other words are needed for him. He'll nod obediently and get to work on his order, strapping himself in and relaxing back in the seat, assured and content.

Or how you don't even bother attempting to get your toothbrush yourself anymore, knowing he'll grab it before you can and hold it high above your head till you settle down and accept his help. He'll stand there otherwise, blank faced and stubborn as he holds it higher whenever you try to reach for it. No amount of scolding will go through that skull of his when it comes to things like this. Might as well indulge him in his little silent requests. But you insist on doing his skincare, and he grumbles but sees it as fair enough. He enjoys it, really. He's just stubborn.

as someone of read-the-wicked-book-when-i-was-too-young-and-only-remembered-the-weird-sex-parts experience, it's been really interesting to reflect on certain reputations the book has taken on in the fandom in the decades since the musicals release. for a long time it felt like it was just kind of the accepted narrative that elphaba went insane bc fiyero died, and for more recent readers ive seen discussion of whether the books politics are leftist enough; both of which i think are oversimplifications.

sure, elphaba doesn't really complete any radical action successfully but isn't that the crux of her mental break down? she is someone living in a rapidly changing fascist society who has total clarity of moral vision for the ways in which disenfranchised classes are being hurt by the system who cannot for the life of her figure out a way to actually change said system on her own. and fiyero's death is a part of that without a doubt but i don't think its the only contributing factor in her own death. she is thwarted at an approaching cosmic level (shout out to any yackle heads in the building) at every turn: her intellectual questioning coincides with doctor dillamond's murder, her first attempt at a more democratic approach by negotiating with the wizard are a complete flop and she loses one of her most important allies in the process, her turn to more extreme methods are a bust when she can't bring herself to potentially harm children which domino effects into fiyero's death, she abandons kiamo ko at a critical moment and returns to find sarima and her family have been captured, literally all of her familiars save the monkeys get killed trying to stop dorothy, etc etc. and throughout the book we run into countless people who's positioning to what's happening politically is basically "if i don't look at it it's not there and can't hurt me," even if they are otherwise relatively kind and well-meaning people

if anything, i think the book is arguing that inaction (or faulty action) in times of great political peril whether by choice, acquiescence, or circumstance is ultimately completely poisonous to the self and others. and as an american (sorry) living through uncertain political times i think a story about someone who goes insane because they watch the news and understand what is going on and what is coming is going to be horrible but feel helpless to stop it is um VERY topical........

Ever talked about the "Adrien as Marinette's malewife/stay at home husband" headcanon? If no, what's your thoughts on it?

I had another plan for how I was gonna respond to this at first, but I realized that I had a convo with the lovely anna-scribbles some time ago that covers this already!

Suffice to say, I think playing it 'straight and shallow' often runs counter to what could be a satisfying conclusion to Adrien learning to exercise his own agency, so if the malewifery is something that he chooses, it's something that's also damaging him. Perhaps intentionally, as the screenshot above proposes, but it could also be unintentional.

That's not to say that I don't think Adrien would enjoy malewife activities or even doing stuff in service of his wife—Quite the opposite, actually. Adrien to me feels like a person who's heavily internalized this idea that he needs to be a resource/be useful in order to be loved, and so if he learned how to clean and cook properly he would try and monopolize all those chores in order to prove to himself that he isn't a waste of space.

Well, I finished the rest of the pages I had sketched out. Please excuse the really lazy colouring, I'm kind of artblocked right now and I'm also really stressed about art school starting in a week.

This is kinda just Rasha focused for fun. I'm gonna put her backstory here and there as I continue with this thing.

I'm not sure how long it will take for me to make the next one since there's a lot going on for me right now but I'll try to work on it when I can!

The Funwhole/Lumibricks Medieval Tailor Shop! It was so much fun to put together and it has so many little details - spinning wheel with distaff! A fabric dying and starching station!

The back opens up in a bunch of places so you can see inside

The only hiccup, and it was a minor one, was that the roof is a little precarious. It sits on a ledge, so it can be lifted up to see inside, and it really wants to slip off. Based on reviews, this is an issue with the whole medieval line that's corrected in later sets, but it was easily remedied with a little blob of blutac.

If you like lego or want to give it a try without breaking the bank, definitely recommend giving any of the Lumibricks (formerly Funwhole) sets a try.
