Ever talked about the "Adrien as Marinette's malewife/stay at home husband" headcanon? If no, what's your thoughts on it?

I had another plan for how I was gonna respond to this at first, but I realized that I had a convo with the lovely anna-scribbles some time ago that covers this already!

Suffice to say, I think playing it 'straight and shallow' often runs counter to what could be a satisfying conclusion to Adrien learning to exercise his own agency, so if the malewifery is something that he chooses, it's something that's also damaging him. Perhaps intentionally, as the screenshot above proposes, but it could also be unintentional.

That's not to say that I don't think Adrien would enjoy malewife activities or even doing stuff in service of his wife—Quite the opposite, actually. Adrien to me feels like a person who's heavily internalized this idea that he needs to be a resource/be useful in order to be loved, and so if he learned how to clean and cook properly he would try and monopolize all those chores in order to prove to himself that he isn't a waste of space.

Wanted to share a quote from our system that we thought was pretty important.

" Our focus shouldn't be ' Did this alter ever use do this thing for survival in the past? ', but ' Why do we have an alter that feels the need to do this in the first place? ' . "

This was in reference to a little that wanted to hoard food and sneak around the house. Whether we did that at one point or not shouldn't be the focus, but why we have a little that wants to do that in the first place should be. Y'know?

i do think it is funny when people are like "there are two kinds of vriska fans, really good ones and really bad ones." i dont agree with every single vriska fans takes but ive never met one who is like a nightmare on a personal level compared to the average person who had pesterquest dave set as their icon in 2021

when Jenny and I went to dc for a concert last year we went “oooh” about seeing the Potomac from the window of the yellow line train and then were like ugh this is so uncool we’re acting like tourists but now we live in the area and take that route regularly and we never do get sick of watching the Potomac from the yellow line train window. So I guess it’s another win for wonder
