They call you the clueless pogue. The pretty one.
You don’t care much either way—that comes from years of being Kiara’s best friend, she’s taught you well on how to ignore what other people think and say about you. Maybe you would care more, you think one day, watching JJ and Pope drive each other crazy while trying to fix something that’s inexplicably gone wrong with the Twinkie. John B is swinging in the hammock, eyes closed, empty beer in his hand that is soon replaced with a fresh one by Kie. She drops the old can into a bin that has the recycling symbol drawn on with a sharpie, her own creation. She walks towards you with a can of fruity seltzer since it’s well known with your new friends that you refuse to drink beer—and it all feels very domestic.
You might care about what other people say if you didn’t love your friends so much.
You are a little clueless though—at least the boys think so. They wouldn’t dare to say anything when your protective best friend was around, but when it’s just you and one of them, or all of them, it comes out a little more.
You wear the kind of clothes that they wouldn’t let a sister of theirs be caught dead in. They never used to care about stuff like that, not until you started hanging around more often. It was the result of absent parents that were only on the island a few months out of the year. The rest of the time you had free reign, and an unlimited credit card that often funded their adventures—gas for the Twinkie, beer for the night, a new outfit to wear to the party.
JJ gets into a fist-fight with a guy who keeps offering you a drink from the keg, not listening no matter how many times you refuse and grabbing the short hem of your yellow dress to yank you back. JJ doesn’t mean to knock him out—it’s just like instinct, he explains later that night to John B and Pope while you’re sound asleep on the pull-out with Kiara—the way he feels protective over you.
“Are you okay?” Kie asks, and you smooth out your dress from where that guy had grabbed it.
“Only because JJ saved me,” you say, looking at him with big doe eyes and fluttering eyelashes. He swallows uncomfortably.
“No biggie, princess, I mean you know me, I’m a big damsel-in-stress kinda guy-” Kiara rolls her eyes and brings you inside, and he’s left standing there with pink-tinged ears.
He doesn’t tell them about how you were looking around for someone, anyone to help, how scared you look when he touched you, how your face visibly eased when you locked eyes with JJ, how you held a bag of frozen peas to his black eye and kissed his cheek before going back to find everyone earlier. He decides to keep that for himself.
You don’t keep an eye out for your surroundings when you tag along on their adventures either. That’s pretty much John B’s responsibility now, walking towards the back with you. You often start looking around, head in the clouds, staring at the trees and sky and walking right into a pile of mud or a puddle.
“Wow, the air is so clean out here,” you comment while taking a deep breath. It’s said quiet enough that only he can hear you.
“Yeah, pretty girl, that’s because of all the trees.” You laugh and shove his arm, because duh, but you can’t respond because the others are yelling for you two to catch up.
He doesn’t let you lead—you’ve cried over too many ruined shoes for him to risk it anymore—instead he holds onto your hand firmly, gripping tight when he needs you to slow down and pulling gently when it’s okay to proceed. It’s his job to make sure all the bugs are out of the way, that you’re not walking into a spiderweb or running after a butterfly or pretty bird. The others tease you two and laugh, but you still thank him with a tight hug, the thin material of your sports bra not really hiding much, murmuring something about no signs of mud on your new sneakers.
“Yeah, anytime,” he breathes after you’ve already walked away. You turn back to smile at him, adjusting your ridden-up tennis skirt you’d sported today. “Wouldn’t wanna dirty those shoes.”
You make Pope feel like the smartest guy in the world sometimes, without even trying. It’s not like you’re stupid, because he knows you’re not, but when you bite your cheek and tap his shoulder to ask him another question about whatever you were working on, your words start going to his head.
“So if I wanna save this and put them all together, I just use this program? And I just use the mouse?” you say thoughtfully, repeating his instructions back to him.
“Yes, sweetheart,” and he tries his best to make sure he sounds patient—he’s learned from experience you don’t react well if you even suspect he’s getting frustrated.
Pope watches you play with the thin straps of your shirt before the string idly falls off your shoulder, exposing a swath of soft, sweet-smelling skin to him. Staring at your bare shoulder, he thinks he could never get frustrated at you even if he tried his hardest.  When you finish making your little vision-board on photoshop, you turn to show him proudly, and he is proud, with how well you followed his instructions and weren’t too shy to keep asking for his help. Later that night at the Chateau, you lean against his shoulder with his arm swung around you on the couch and explain what each of the images mean until you fall asleep.
They’re all playing a game of chicken—wondering which one will be the first to cross that line and suggest something more than just friendship to you. Through empty cases of beer and boys-only fishing trips they’ve briefly discussed to each other that they’re interested, but of respect—to each other, not really to you—they haven’t made the first move just yet. No matter how difficult you make it.
At the beach you help the boys wax their surfboards, taking turns with each one, floating around a little tipsy already from your fruity drink. They’re all talking, but you don’t really pay attention, eyes staring at something in the distance.
JJ covers his mouth, imitating a walkie noise.
“Hello, uh, earth to princess, over.”
You turn back to him and his board, dropping the chunk of wax and leaning in. He blanks for a second—your pretty face getting closer, an eyeful of your tits in the tiny bikini you’re wearing today making his head spin. And you’re infront of everyone, which is definitely not how he’d thought he would win this little competition.
“Do you see that pretty girl over there? Three o’clock?”
“I see a pretty girl right in front of me,” he says, and you laugh, pushing his shoulder. He doesn’t realize that you think he’s just joking.
“Jayj, seriously. See her?” He nods, but still doesn’t turn to look. “She’s been staring at you for, like, ten minutes. You should go over there!”
You’re smiling big, like the idea of another girl talking to him sounds fun. He pulls back from you, confused.
“I need another beer.” He stalks off, walking to the boys while you turn to Kiara.
“What did I do wrong? I’m trying to get him laid-” Kiara rolls her eyes. You turn and see the boys in deep conversation, occasionally glancing back at you and Kie.
“She just told me to go flirt with some girl, like, right in front of her. I mean is this some kind of test?” He takes a long chug of the beer, sounding about as stressed as Pope and John B have ever seen. “Do I fail if I hook up with some rando? Or do I fail if I don’t hook up? It’s Schindler’s cat, man-”
“That’s not-” Pope starts, before being cut off.
“Sorry, sorry. Schrodinger’s kids.”
“No, JJ-”
“What the hell does she mean? So she wants us to hook up with other people?” John B cuts in, looking back at you, but something else on the beach seems to have caught your attention.
“Woah, I’m not doing that, but you two are more than welcome-”
“Yeah, nice try, Pope. We get with some girl so you can tell her you stayed loyal and win her over? I don’t think so, genius-”
“Well, you’re the one she’s trying to set up so I think I’m pretty safe right now-”
“It’s not a reality show Pope, you can’t eliminate me.”
“Guys,” John B speaks up.
“If this was a show, I’d clearly be the fan favorite and the winner-”
“Uh, says who? I would so win, let’s do a poll right now and survey this beach-”
“Guys.” Louder this time, they listen to John. He doesn’t say anything, just stares into the distance and soon they join him, to see what he’s looking at.
“Y’gotta be fucking kidding me,” JJ says, watching you run into Rafe’s arms, swinging around before giving him a kiss. Rafe pulls away and looks straight at the three of them, while giving them a wave.

pairing: Felix Lee x female reader x Bang Chan
summary: Weeks have passed since your letter from Chan and you have felt in a daze. Felix decides to throw an illustrious ball to cheer you up. He invited the whole town, but someone unexpected makes an appearance.
read chapter three here
CHAPTER FOUR
“You look beautiful.”
Felix had his hand outstretched to you. He stood at the bottom of the long staircase, a string quartet could be heard from the courtyard outside. Your heart fluttered at the sound of Felix’s genuine compliment. You clasped your hand into his and ascended down the stairs into the starlit courtyard.
Four weeks have passed since you received the letter from Chan. Felix had found you on the floor of your bedroom, the letter still grasped tightly between your fingers.
His footmen had carried you to the foyer and a doctor soon arrived at the estate. You only recall bits and pieces of that night, fading in and out a dark, dazing shock that gripped you furiously. Soon after the doctor had given you a clean bill of health and chalked up your fainting to lady problems, you sequestered yourself in your room. No longer joining Felix in the dining hall, even for a moment. You stayed within the four walls that now felt like a jail cell more than ever, willing yourself to fade into the wallpaper and disappear forever.
Felix silently grew more worried about you. He would pace back and forth in his study, trying to find a solution to whatever could be ailing you. He remembers that night much more clearly than you, as it brought back memories of his own childhood, and of his mother.
When Felix was very small, he used to run everywhere. To any place. He could outrun almost all the servants, much to his father’s dismay. No one could catch him. He remembers laughing a lot, he remembers sunlight and fresh flowers. But most of all, he remembers his mother’s smile. She would plant flowers all through the courtyard by hand, another thing his father disapproved of.
Just have the maids do it. You’re getting dirt and mud all over your nice clothes.
Felix’s mother would shrug and smile and continue to plant her flowers. She loved the smell of them blooming each new spring. Felix remembers her opening each large, stained glass window on the first day of spring. She would let the entire mansion fill with the smell of honeysuckle and peony and carnations. But one spring, she didn’t open the windows. She stayed in her room. Felix didn’t understand. His mother’s smile withered away like the flowers in their courtyard. He remembers asking his father, pleading with him, to tell him what was wrong with his mother. His father would huff, he would grumble, and simply say lady problems.
Felix’s mother died on the first day of spring, the year of his eighteenth birthday. The doctors said it was exhaustion, or old age. But Felix knew that it was a broken heart. His father left him the mansion on his birthday and fled the country, remarrying another, younger, woman. Felix let the courtyard decay and fade away. He didn’t open the windows anymore. He didn’t run.
“How about a party, sir?” a footman chimed in, breaking Felix from his pacing trance.
He thought for a moment. While he detested social events, he had seen you at many parties. You would dance and spin around, laughing and smiling and…
Felix felt a pull inside his chest, thinking too deeply on the thought of you. The way you looked. The way you sounded. He turned his head towards the stairs to your bedroom and truly missed the sound of your voice. He needed to do something for you.
“Yes, a party it is.”
The next few days were filled with planning and catering and noise. Felix had given free-range to the staff to decorate the halls of his mansion in a warm and pleasing way, though he truly didn’t know what he meant by that. He had to just hope you would enjoy it. He invited the entire town, which came as a shock to everyone on the guest list, as so few people had even seen the Lee Manor. Felix finished getting dressed and walked downstairs to see how everything was progressing. To his surprise, the windows were open, all of them. Servants were laying flowers around the outside of the house. Inside, long white linen clothes lined every table. Food was filled from every corner, swirling through the air a mixture of exotic and familiar scents danced around him. He heard a noise from at the top of the stairs, your bedroom door creaking open.
You cautiously walked out and your eyes met with Felix immediately. The manor was bright and warm, and the light wasilluminating his features in a way that made your heart quicken. You wore a simple gown, long and flowing with a satin finish. But in your hair was woven carnations, peeking out underneath fluid curls. You stood frozen for a minute, unsure of what to do or say. Felix had never stared at you for this long before. You felt exposed, like he was really seeing you for the first time. Perhaps he was.
Felix led you outside to the courtyard. You breathed in the heavy scent of flora that surrounded you. Flowers everywhere, it was truly an incredible sight. You glanced around to see the entire party forming a circle around you and Felix. You gave a confused look towards him. He chuckled softly and leaned into your ear and whispered, “They expect us to have the first dance, my lady.”
Your eyes widened, feeling slightly embarrassed that you had forgotten proper etiquette. You and Felix move effortlessly to the middle of the stone patio, moonlight bathing you from head to toe. You give a modest curtsey and Felix reciprocates with a firm bow. He pulls you in closer, the small space between you very evident, and gently runs his fingers up the length of your arm. Slowly he clasps his hand into yours and leads you in a swirling and spinning motion around the stone patio. Your heart begins to flutter again, quickly realizing that this is the most your new husband has ever touched you. Your body reacts to his almost instinctively as you both glide about. As easy as it had left, your smile returns again. Tugging at the corners of your mouth, you feel the grin growing larger as Felix continues to spin you in a dizzying and wonderful way.
You glance over Felix’s shoulder to catch the faces watching you, all blending into one big, colorful blur. But there is one face that sticks out. One face that you could recognize anywhere. One face you neer thought you would see again. Chan.
Chan stood in the crowd of partygoers and watched you dance happily with your new husband. When the waltz finally ended, he maneuvered his way through the clusters of people and finally came face to face with you. You stood frozen, like a ghost, a cruel apparition, standing in front of you, haunting you. He stepped towards you slowly, taking this opportunity to speak, seeing as your new husband was not by your side.
“We need to talk. Please.”

subby!abby x reader blurb
Tumblr media
porn without plot kind of day >:) abby the deftones princess
summary: sex with abby and she goes all mushy and subby bc i can’t stop thinking about her <3
warnings: nsfw, choking/breath play but mostly hand on throat abby receiving, finger sucky, fingering abby receiving, oral but no description, horny
wc: 1.3k lil shortie
all lowercase and not really proofread
minors go away please I will block you!!
literally no plot just sex under the cut!
“fuck, that feels so good,” abby whines, her right hand leaving its place on your head and going straight to her mouth, teeth biting into the knuckle of her index finger.
for as long as you'd known abby you'd known about her habit of putting things in her mouth, "its like, i dont know, my dad told me it was called an oral fixation, or something, apparently had it since i was a baby," she'd said to you before, when you asked her why she was always nibbling on her fingertips, always biting you - always sinking her teeth into the soft flesh of your thighs, your stomach.
"s' comforting, that's all," she'd smile.
you hum, pushing her thighs apart and they stay, a clear indication you’re beginning to pull out that part of her, the one you only catch glimpses of when you’ve got abby on her back, or on her knees.
she was tired, had just gotten back from a three-day patrol, fresh stitches adorning her arm, blossoms of purple maculating her skin. you'd helped her clean her fingernails, dirt, and blood packed underneath them and encrusted onto her cuticles.
“that was fucking brutal.” she sighed as she walked into your shared space, you waiting for her with tea in the kitchen. she’d looked rough too, her clothes caked with mud and her hair barely kept in the braid you'd done. she was quick to drop her pack and walk over to you, careful not to touch you with her rather grimy hands, leaning her head down to drop a much-needed peck.
it wasn’t long before you'd sent her to the bathroom for a shower, offering to join her but she declined. “you smell like home, don’t you dare.” she’d said, a small "sit with me?" spilling from her lips.
which of course you did, her talking through what she experienced and you glad she couldn’t see your face as it would twist with worry.
but you had her now, you were taking care of her and she was so safe.
“yeah?” you ponder, breath fanning against her core. It always made you feel so powerful when she got this way, gave you an idea of how she must feel all the time.
made fucking sense with the ego she seems to have.
All she can do in response is nod, not a shut up or fuck you. a gentle, slow nod. Her eyebrows are so raised, so furrowed it looks like she's about to start crying.
“abby, it’s okay.” you whisper, your free hand running up the length of her stomach to take her hand out of her mouth, replacing it with your thumb. her spit wet fingers clasp around your wrist, keeping your thumb in her mouth, tongue swirling against the pad of it, teeth just grazing the tip of your nail.
the feeling of her groaning against your own flesh goes straight to the pit of your stomach, a small sound making its way out of you in response. the vibration alone enough to make you feel like you were floating.
abby pulls your hand down, fingers sitting atop yours as she places your hand on her throat, in order to reach, you take your mouth off of her slit, fingers still working their way in and out.
you get up from your own position and push your weight up onto your knees, kneeling in between her own, your body slightly leaning over hers.
can't get over how good she looks right now, how well she’s taking your fingers, your hand on her throat. her eyes big and wide and her wet hair in pieces sticking to her forehead.
“you look so pretty, abs.” you breathe and her eyes close, creases and wrinkles replacing the blue you’re used to.
“so pretty when i fuck the words outta you, huh?” you add, testing your luck.
she laughs, the sound muffled by the hand on her throat. the sound is so low and long, her body shaking softly from the force of it.
“think i like you better with your mouth on my cunt, big shot.” she chuckles, her eyes unscrewing, a smile replacing the lust-driven frown she always got. it's nice to know she was still in there somewhere.
“cant be mean now, i know you’re close, can barely move my fingers.” you just can’t seem to stop hitting the squishy pad of tissue buried inside of her, your hooked fingers relentlessly pressing and prodding. a squeeze here and there, she liked that didn’t she.
“fuck yes.” her head tilts back, thighs wanting so badly to squeeze around your forearm. you begin to move your hand off of her throat, wanting to put your mouth back on her as well but you’re shocked when her hand grips yours, tightening your hold.
“don’t, gonna cum like this.” she’s nodding again, eyes opened slightly, looking down at you but unwilling to make direct eye contact. this was definitely a first, you thought. abby always begged you for your mouth, always needed something on her clit to cum.
then you realize, she’s looking at your fingers, mouth agape. she’s in awe at the sight of them, the only noises bouncing off the walls being abby’s stuttered breathing and the wetness your fingers keep fucking in and out of her.
“please,” she whimpers, hand leaving yours on her throat and going to her inner thigh, pinching and grabbing at the skin there, trying to keep her own legs open. she’s still looking at your glistening fingers working into her, eyes drifting up your forearm to your chest, and finally your face.
your hand leaves her throat then, pressing into the belly of her stomach, feeling her abs tense. you were trying to hold her down, knowing the way her hips would soon be bucking. you pick up one of your knees, placing it on top of her thigh, not enough to hurt but enough for her to feel it if she tried to squirm, your other knee spreading her legs wider.
“i want it, abs, want you to come,” you reassure her and she groans, hips rocking against your fingers despite your hand pressing them down.
“been so good.” she whines, eyes fluttering up towards yours.
don’t know about that, you thought, but fuck, you didn’t want to ruin her moment.
you nod at her, thumb starting to rub at her clit.
“so good, mouse.” you lie, feeling her body tense and your fingers get squished as her walls contract, her breathing picking up into whimpers that swell into moans, her eyes leaving yours as her head tilts back, hand shooting to your wrist, holding it still.
you don’t know where the nickname came from if it was because of her mousy blonde hair, the quiet nature she had when you first met her, or the way she was everywhere all the time. her tendency to steal your food, waiting around so she could have whatever was left. she was simply - in spirit - similar to a mouse.
your thumbs slow their circles, but her chest continues to heave, bicep coming up to cover her face, wipe the sweat, you’re not really sure. your fingers leave her, her hand retreating up to her chest, palm resting against her heart. her damp towel still sits on the bed, and you grab it to wipe your hand off, abby's eyes following your every movement.
“fuck.” she pants, blinking a few times.
you rub at her thighs, trying to get her to relax by drawing circles, watching her breathing slow.
“hmm, c’mere,” she manages, motioning you over to her with her hands.
she pulls you into her chest, both of you bare and warm and frankly, a bit sticky. it’s quiet for a moment, her arms wrapping you up into her and her lips sloppily kissing your head.
“you okay?” you whisper into her chest.
“i’m good, baby.” she says back into your ear. you pull yourself up, supported by your elbows so your stomach is on top of hers, planting a soft kiss to her lips. her hand goes to your jaw, pulling you back in.
“be better if you were sitting on my face though.” she doesn’t miss a beat.

What I think they’d smell like in MODERN AU
Levi
he smells like those really strong essence oils, only if you go really close can you smell it (I'm talking kissing his hand close)
To be very specific, I'm talking about tea tree essence oil. It's like an antibacterial scent in a way
Eren
Absolutely nothingness. I feel like when he walks past people he does it so fast and swift it leaves a waft of his scent behind... except he smells like nothing so he's just giving you a free wave of air 😭😭😭
But as a bonus, he'd smell like his aloe Vera shampoo for the first hour (after showering) and then the smell fades away... again, into nothingness
Bertholdt
I'm convinced Berty-boo smells something like an old ladies makeup pallet. Those really old peach flavoured powders, or just scented moisturiser for women. It's not a girly smell, it's a powdery smell… sort of motherly (he smells motherly!?)
No one knows why he smells that way really. They don't really point it out because it isn't strong.
But if you hugged him so tight that you buried your face in the fabric of his clothes, you'd get a nostril-full of makeup scents
Reiner
Oh yes you know it, he smells like a big baby. He doesn't even know it, he's amused as you one day rub yourself against the soft sleeve of his sweater and mumble something along the lines of "you smell nice"
this IS VERY specific. But fairy detergent pods is exactly what he smells like.
a warm but soft and squeezable scent that he has no idea he carries but melts when you subconsciously cuddle up to it.
Jean
Jean changes his perfume every week you can't catch onto what he smells like. One week it's Hugo boss, the other it's Dior sauvage, and other fuckboy perfumes. At some point, if you sniff out any masculine scent, you know it’s him, because he's worn every bottle in this bloody world.
Armin
He smells like the original dove soap bar. You can tell he's incredibly clean not just by the waft of soap that fans pleasantly against your face, but through the silkiness of his blonde locks that expose how well he takes care of himself.
Erwin
Looking at Erwin, I can tell he doesn't give a shit 😭😭😭 straight up, he showers puts deodorant on and gets on with his day, it's not like this doesn't leave a scent though, through out his day, he spends it locked up in the office or taking a walk in meadows to clear his mind.
When he comes back to you, most of what you smell on him is the outdoors (cut grass- ish breezey smell) and pages of dusty books.
Zeke
As a Zeke Stan, I'm sorry to my fellow brothers and sisters, but my guy smells of nothing but tobacco, it overpowers any perfume he uses. He reeks of pure depression and cigarettes. Someone hug this man and throw him in a bath PLEASE
Porco
People usually shower everyday because its hygienic but Porco does it because he messes himself up badly throughout his own day. Hell- sometimes he has to shower twice a day.
This mostly comes down to the fact he's messy and clumsy. During lunch, he'll drop a bit of jam on himself, try to swipe it away but it merges through the loops of fabric and stick to the skin of his chest.
Or when he's cleaning, he'll forget that a bucket with dirty water is behind him and fall on top of it, soaking him in muddy water.
i made this way too long... but, this is my headcannon, he smells like fresh bread.
Hange
She either smells like mud, pure sweat, hair grease or all the above.
(When Levi knocks her out to clean her he uses scent less soap so the issue here is that the smell sometimes still lingers even after she washes.
Pieck
Pieck bakes a lot to free her mind from worries, most of what she likes to bake is cookies, pies or brownies. So for the most part, she mostly smells of soap and a bakery.
Mikasa
You guys can call Mikasa manly all you want, but she defiantly uses cocoa butter to moisturise her body after a burning hot shower.
light Cocoa butter and coconut, there's no other thing I can think of.
Miche
The most distinguished smell you can get out of him is his clothes, which barely smell of anything anyway. It's a mystery as to how someone can lack any scent whatsoever.
Sasha
Barbecue sauce and brown sugar
Annie
Her and Armin are soap scent buddies, she smells of a foamy bubble bath.

'I talk to the trees, but they don't listen to me' sings Clint Eastwood ... the man on the radio is all about the Oscars and film awards today ... the traffic lady does her best gruff cowboy impression as she talks of the usual holdups, breakdowns and collisions.
I'm thinking of an old John Wayne film ... no idea of the title ... but, what sticks is the image of him sitting backwards on a horse and jerkily riding out of a tricky situation.
I wonder if any children anywhere play cowboys and Indians and more? Probably not. A bygone era in so many ways. Decades ago I used to play that game with my sibling. I was always the Indian on account of my lack of ability with making gun noises. 'You just sound like you're spitting on people!' would be shouted at me.
Then, of course, there was the lengthy discussion of how a bow and arrow should sound. Much bickering would ensue. Then, having finally agreed on 'Thwack! Ferdung!', the game would continue until such time as it was declared 'Lie down! You're dead! I won!' ... before the inevitable stomping off of my sibling declaring that I couldn't even fall over and die properly.
So many childhood games that I remember. There were no mobile phones, no computer games, just the command to 'Go outside and get some fresh air!' Learning to ride my bike hands free ... learning to use my roller skates ... climbing trees and sliding down mud banks ... throwing sticks off a bridge into the river and rushing to the other side to see whose stick came through first.
Eventually going home to the inevitable eye rolling and comments on the state of our clothing. Changing into clean stuff and sitting with a hot drink before continuing to disagree over who had won what.
From where I'm sitting now I can hear children outside shouting and screaming, I've no idea what game they're playing, but it sounds energetic. I hope there's mud and grass stains on trouser knees involved. I'm also thinking of all the kids who only play games on their phones ... wondering if there's a game that in any way simulates getting as filthy as me and my sibling used to .......... and half sighing, half laughing at the idea of virtually mucky clothing ... but then, there's bound to be an App that not only cleans up such mess but also makes the noises I couldn't make when I was small ...

closed: @reneebrxndxn Location: Her house, going to prom in the community center
"Alright.... not too bad, right?" Clint questioned after he straightened out the blazer and adjusted his belt. Luna, the only one available to offer any sort of criticism simply glanced up at him from laying on the floor, yawned, then put her head down. "Yeah? Well you just walk around naked anyway." Clint joked to himself. Now that he thought of it, this was the first time he wore a blazer out, the only other time was trying this one on a few days ago from the collection of clothes the raiders brought back. He was surprised by how it made him look in the mirror at the supermarket, his shoulders seemed more squared, less slouched, more confident, it wasn't something he was used to seeing and now that he had put the whole outfit together, the best pair of jeans he could find in his pile, his belt still strapped with his knife and gun in it's holster... something he felt he could never leave the cabin without, his boots which he did his best to clean the mud from he had, the gray blazer, and a black undershirt free of Luna's fur, he found himself standing a little more tall. This was the most dressed up he had ever been and it was a bit of an adjustment to see himself in this light, he was feeling pretty good. Until he caught a look at himself in the mirror, noticing how long and shaggy his hair had gotten. Shit... he knew he should have asked someone to cut it... He did his best to comb it back with water from his sink and a comb, it held, but he wondered for how long. Oh well, it would be dark soon anyway, it just had to hold together for an hour or so then it could fall away however it liked. Once satisfied he started to head out the door with Luna close by his heels, as normal, but this time he turned around at the door and prompted her to sit. "Not this time, girl." He soothed, which she argued against with a whine. "Sorry, I'll be back later." He closed the door and was about two steps off his porch before with a sigh, he turned on his heels, realizing he forgot something. Coming in the door again, Luna excitedly jumped on him, as if he hadn't only been gone for 30 seconds. "Down down down." He told her as he strolled over to the table, picking up the corsage he had made for Renee. It was simple, adorned with a few varieties of the flowers that were still in bloom, a mix of yellows, light purples, and some reds stuck into that weird green foam stuff that he had been soaking in water to keep them fresh that he tried his best to hide, glued onto a sage green ribbon to tie to her wrist. He had never been to anything like a prom before so he felt completely lost, but the corsage was something he felt was important. Now that he was finally ready, he headed out the door for real this time and headed down to Renee's house. Looking at her door, he let out a nervous breath, why he was so anxious, he didn't know, but after a moment, fighting the urge to push his hair back again and letting whatever grip the water had on it go, he knocked on the door and waited for her response.

Nano 2023 Day 27
did you know that keraunos has been naked and covered in blood for 12,000 words?
Both mother and daughter turned to look at him, the woman chewing her lip for a beat of uncertainty while Alkidike’s eyes narrowed with scrutiny, scanning Keraunos up and down.
“You have to clean up first,” the girl decided. Her mother sucked in a breath, while Alkidike doubled down. “What, he’s dirty!” she said, loudly gesturing to all of him.
“He is a relation of your father’s,” the woman said, grabbing the girl’s hand and yanking it into her lap, before turning to Keraunos with her head bowed. “Forgive her, sir, she’s still young.”
The godling tilted his head, unsure what exactly he was supposed to forgive her for, before turning himself over, noting the mess that covered his skin and the trail of mud and blood from the door to where he stood.
“I am getting your house dirty,” he observed.
The girl preened, vindicated, before her mother shot another sour look and said, “It’s really no trouble.”
“She was troubled,” he pointed out.
The woman bit her lip again before bowing once more and withdrawing to her task, dipping a cloth in the hot water. “You are free to do as you wish, sir. You’ll find no protest from us.”
Although puzzled by her cautious worry, so different from the demands he’d encountered thus far, Keraunos took a wet cloth and mirrored the woman as she washed and rinsed, revealing the war god’s marred skin bit by bit. He was marked by dozens of scars—lashes, burns, bite marks—all overshadowed by the pair of massive punctures still weeping blood down his chest and side.
Alkidike then withdrew as her mother gathered two of her jars and poured them over the wounds. First came a black-red, acrid wine that pricked at the godling’s nose, followed by an acidic vinegar that did nothing to improve the smell of the room as far as he was concerned.
With nothing to occupy him for a moment, Keraunos turned his attention to the remaining, now-cooled water. “May I use that?” he asked.
“You needn’t ask,” said the woman.
Meanwhile her daughter helpfully stood up, water in hand, and raised it high, only pausing about half a second before pouring it over the godling’s head. Between sputtering for breath and shaking the water from his eyes, the girl handed him a fresh cloth. He hesitated and she raised her brows, giving it an expectant shake, before he took it and started to wipe himself down.
The woman’s eyes lingered on him through this, surprised at the god’s unassuming demeanor and still worried for her daughter in all her straightforward confidence.
But, with the wounds finally clean, she retrieved another jar. With her hand, she scooped out sweet, coarse honey and mixed it with ground leaves which she packed into the wounds. Then, she grabbed strips of clean, white cloth and wrapped them tight around Ares’ shoulder and waist until not a drop of blood was left visible.

Dog Deodorizing Spray | Fresh Fragrances for Dogs | Bug & Bun
As dog owners, we adore our furry companions, but let's face it—dogs can sometimes smell a little less than fresh. Whether it’s the result of a fun day at the park, a romp in the mud, or simply a buildup of natural oils, odor can quickly become an issue. That’s where dog deodorizing sprays come in handy!
In this guide, we’ll explore everything you need to know about dog deodorizing spray, from why you should use it to how to choose the right one for your pet.
Why Use a Dog Deodorizing Spray?
Dog deodorizing sprays are designed to neutralize and eliminate odors, leaving your pup smelling clean and refreshed between baths. Here are some of the key reasons why pet parents love using them:
Eliminate Unpleasant Odors: The primary purpose of deodorizing sprays is to eliminate unwanted smells caused by natural oils, dirt, or environmental factors.
Extend Time Between Baths: Regular bathing can be hard on your dog’s skin, especially if they have sensitive skin or allergies. A deodorizing spray helps reduce the need for frequent baths while keeping your dog smelling pleasant.
Convenient for Quick Touch-ups: Dog deodorizing sprays are perfect for a quick spritz before guests arrive or during travel. They are portable, easy to use, and mess-free.
Soothing and Conditioning Properties: Many sprays also contain ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, or coconut oil, which not only deodorize but also condition and soothe your dog’s skin and coat.
How to Choose the Right Dog Deodorizing Spray
When choosing a deodorizing spray for your dog, it’s important to consider their specific needs and sensitivities. Here are a few factors to look for:
Natural Ingredients: Choose sprays made from natural, dog-safe ingredients. Avoid artificial fragrances or chemicals that could irritate your dog’s skin.
Allergy-Friendly: If your dog has allergies or sensitive skin, look for hypoallergenic options that are free from harsh additives, dyes, or parabens.
Long-Lasting Freshness: Opt for a spray that offers long-lasting odor control. The best deodorizing sprays neutralize odors at the source rather than just masking them.
Moisturizing Properties: Some sprays double as a coat conditioner, keeping your dog’s fur soft, shiny, and healthy. Ingredients like coconut oil, oatmeal, or vitamin E are excellent for moisturizing the skin.
Scent Preference: Choose a scent that you and your dog will enjoy! There are a wide variety of fragrances, ranging from fresh citrus to calming lavender. Always make sure the fragrance is not too overpowering for your pup.
How to Use Dog Deodorizing Spray
Using dog deodorizing spray is simple and hassle-free. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get the best results:
Shake Well: Before applying, shake the bottle well to ensure all ingredients are mixed.
Apply Evenly: Hold the bottle a few inches away from your dog’s fur and spray evenly over their body, avoiding the eyes and face. If needed, spray onto a cloth and gently rub the product into their coat.
Brush Through the Coat: For the best results, brush the product through your dog’s coat to distribute it evenly.
Reapply as Needed: Reapply the spray as needed to keep your dog smelling fresh. Most sprays are safe to use daily or whenever your dog gets a little smelly.
DIY Dog Deodorizing Spray Recipe
If you’re a fan of DIY projects, you can easily make your own dog deodorizing spray using simple ingredients at home. Here’s a quick recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup distilled water
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional for conditioning)
1 tablespoon baking soda (for neutralizing odors)
A few drops of lavender or chamomile essential oil (optional and safe for dogs)
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well.
Spray onto your dog’s coat as needed, avoiding the face and eyes.

Tips to Maintain a Clean Home with Pets: A Guide for Pet Owners
Tumblr media
Owning a pet brings joy, companionship, and countless cherished moments. However, it can also bring a fair share of mess! Pet hair, muddy paw prints, and the occasional accident are all part of the package. Maintaining a clean home while enjoying the company of your furry friends may seem like a challenge, but with a few smart strategies, it’s entirely achievable. Here’s a comprehensive guide to keeping your home spotless without sacrificing quality time with your pets.
1. Regular Grooming is Key
Grooming your pet regularly is one of the most effective ways to keep your home clean. Regular brushing helps remove loose fur and reduces shedding, which can significantly cut down on pet hair around the house.
Brush Your Pet Frequently: Brushing not only helps manage shedding but also distributes natural oils in your pet’s coat, keeping it healthy and shiny.
Schedule Regular Baths: Bathing your pet as needed (usually once a month, depending on the breed and activity level) can help remove dirt, dander, and odors. However, be cautious not to over-bathe, as it can dry out their skin.
2. Keep Paws Clean
Pets love to explore the outdoors, but this often means bringing the outside in. To prevent dirt, mud, and other debris from being tracked into your home, make paw cleaning a habit.
Wipe Paws Before Entering: Keep a towel or pet wipes near the door to clean your pet’s paws every time they come inside. This simple habit can drastically reduce the amount of dirt and mud in your home.
Invest in a Paw Cleaner: A pet paw cleaner filled with water can make it even easier to rinse off dirt before your pet enters the house.
3. Use Pet-Friendly Furniture Covers and Materials
Choosing the right materials for your home can make a big difference in how easy it is to keep clean.
Opt for Washable Covers: Sofa covers, chair covers, and pet bed covers that can be easily removed and washed are ideal for homes with pets. This makes it simple to deal with pet hair, dirt, and stains.
Choose Durable Fabrics: Leather and tightly woven fabrics are more resistant to pet hair and easier to clean. If you prefer fabric furniture, consider microfiber or canvas, which can be wiped down and don’t attract as much pet hair.
4. Clean Up Pet Hair Regularly
Pet hair can accumulate quickly, especially if you have a shedding breed. Regular cleaning can help keep it under control.
Vacuum Often: Invest in a good-quality vacuum cleaner designed for pet hair. Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery frequently to remove hair and dander.
Use Lint Rollers: Keep lint rollers handy to quickly remove pet hair from clothing, furniture, and other surfaces. They are especially useful for those last-minute clean-ups before guests arrive.
5. Establish Pet-Free Zones
Creating designated areas where pets are not allowed can help reduce the spread of hair and allergens throughout your home.
Set Boundaries: Consider making certain rooms or furniture off-limits to pets. This can be particularly useful in areas like bedrooms, where you want to maintain a hair-free environment.
Use Pet Gates: Pet gates are an excellent way to restrict access to certain parts of your home without closing doors, allowing you to maintain a cleaner space.
6. Keep Litter Boxes and Pet Beds Clean
Maintaining a clean environment for your pet is not only good for them but also helps keep your home tidy.
Clean Litter Boxes Daily: Scooping the litter box every day helps prevent odors and keeps your pet happy. Consider using a litter mat to catch loose litter before it’s tracked through the house.
Wash Pet Bedding Regularly: Pet beds, blankets, and toys can harbor dirt, hair, and odors. Regular washing will keep them fresh and reduce the amount of pet hair and dander in your home.
7. Control Pet Odors
Even with the best grooming practices, pets can sometimes create unwanted odors. Keeping your home smelling fresh is an important aspect of maintaining cleanliness.
Use Pet-Safe Deodorizers: Pet-friendly air fresheners and deodorizers can help neutralize odors without being harmful to your furry friends. Baking soda is also a great natural deodorizer for carpets and pet beds.
Ventilate Your Home: Regularly opening windows and doors can help air out your home and reduce pet odors.
Hire Professional pet stain and odor cleaners: By addressing the root causes of the odor and not just masking it, professional pet odor removal service can significantly improve the air quality in your home and create a more enjoyable living environment for both you and your pets. I
8. Clean Pet Feeding Areas
Food and water bowls can quickly become messy, especially if your pet is an enthusiastic eater!
Wipe Down Bowls Daily: Clean your pet’s food and water bowls daily to prevent the buildup of bacteria and food residue.
Use a Feeding Mat: Placing a mat under your pet’s feeding area can catch spills and make cleaning easier.
9. Manage Fleas and Ticks
Fleas and ticks not only pose a health risk to your pets but can also lead to a messy home.
Use Preventative Treatments: Regularly applying flea and tick preventatives can help avoid infestations that are both a nuisance and a health concern.
Regularly Check for Pests: After outdoor activities, check your pets for fleas, ticks, and other pests, especially if they spend time in wooded or grassy areas.
10. Keep a Cleaning Routine
A consistent cleaning routine can make a big difference in managing the mess that comes with pets.
Stay Consistent: Create a regular cleaning schedule that includes vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces to keep your home tidy.
Deep Clean Periodically: Every few months, perform a deep clean of your home, including washing windows, curtains, and upholstery to remove accumulated pet hair and dander.
Final Thoughts
Having pets doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice a clean and tidy home. By implementing these tips and staying proactive, you can enjoy the companionship of your furry friends while keeping your living space clean and fresh. Remember, a clean home is not only beneficial for you but also contributes to a healthier environment for your pets. Happy pet parenting!

Sneaker Maintenance Tips: Keeping Your Kicks Fresh and Clean
Sneakers are more than just footwear; they’re a statement of style and identity. At Soles Art, we know that keeping your sneakers fresh and clean is essential to preserving their look and extending their lifespan. Here are some comprehensive sneaker maintenance tips to help you take the best care of your kicks.
1. Regular Cleaning Routine
Creating a regular cleaning routine is the first step in maintaining your sneakers. Here’s a simple process to follow:
Materials Needed:
Soft-bristle brush or an old toothbrush
Mild detergent or sneaker cleaner
Microfiber cloth or soft towel
Warm water
Steps:
Remove Loose Dirt: Before you start cleaning, remove the laces and use a soft-bristle brush to gently scrub off any loose dirt and debris from the surface of the sneakers.
Prepare Cleaning Solution: Mix a small amount of mild detergent or sneaker cleaner with warm water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they can damage the materials.
Clean the Uppers: Dip the brush into the cleaning solution and gently scrub the upper parts of the sneakers. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe away excess dirt and suds.
Clean the Soles: Use the same brush and cleaning solution to scrub the outsoles. This is especially important for white or light-colored soles that tend to show dirt easily.
Rinse and Dry: Rinse the sneakers with clean water and use a microfiber cloth to pat them dry. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, as they can cause the materials to warp or discolor. Allow the sneakers to air dry naturally.
2. Spot Cleaning
For minor stains or scuffs, spot cleaning can be an effective solution. Here’s how to tackle specific types of stains:
Stain Removal Tips:
Mud: Allow mud to dry completely before attempting to clean. Once dry, brush off as much as possible, then use a damp cloth with mild detergent to clean the remaining residue.
Oil and Grease: Sprinkle cornstarch or talcum powder on the stain and let it sit for a few hours to absorb the oil. Brush off the powder and clean with a mild detergent solution.
Ink: Use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to gently dab the ink stain. Be careful not to spread the ink further.
3. Protective Measures
Preventive care can save you a lot of cleaning time and keep your sneakers looking new:
Protection Tips:
Waterproofing: Apply a waterproof spray to your sneakers, especially if they are made of suede, nubuck, or other absorbent materials. This will protect them from water stains and damage.
Stain Repellent: Use a stain repellent spray to create a protective barrier against dirt and stains. Reapply periodically for continued protection.
Storage: Store your sneakers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use shoe trees or stuff them with acid-free tissue paper to help maintain their shape.
4. Proper Storage
How you store your sneakers can significantly impact their longevity. Here are some storage tips:
Storage Tips:
Shoe Boxes: Store your sneakers in their original boxes to protect them from dust and light. If you don’t have the boxes, use clear plastic shoe containers.
Shoe Racks: If you prefer displaying your sneakers, use a shoe rack that allows for adequate ventilation to prevent mold and mildew.
Avoid Stacking: Don’t stack sneakers on top of each other, as this can cause them to lose shape and lead to creasing.
5. Deodorizing
Keeping your sneakers smelling fresh is just as important as keeping them clean. Here’s how to tackle odors:
Deodorizing Tips:
Baking Soda: Sprinkle baking soda inside your sneakers and let it sit overnight to absorb odors. Shake out the excess powder before wearing.
Cedar Shoe Inserts: Use cedar shoe inserts or balls to absorb moisture and keep your sneakers smelling fresh.
Dryer Sheets: Place a dryer sheet inside each sneaker to help neutralize odors.
6. Rotating Your Sneakers
Wearing the same pair of sneakers every day can lead to quicker wear and tear. Rotate your sneakers to give them time to air out and recover between wears.
Rotation Tips:
Multiple Pairs: Invest in multiple pairs of sneakers to rotate through the week. This not only extends the life of each pair but also allows you to match different styles with your outfits.
Activity-Specific: Use different sneakers for various activities. For example, keep a separate pair for running and another for casual wear.
Conclusion
Maintaining your sneakers doesn’t have to be a daunting task. With these tips from Soles Art, you can keep your kicks looking fresh and clean for longer. Regular cleaning, preventive measures, proper storage, and rotating your sneakers are key practices to ensure they stay in top condition. Invest a little time in sneaker maintenance, and your beloved pairs will continue to serve you well and make a stylish statement wherever you go. Happy cleaning!

Chapter 2: Magic Kisses
Fandom: 原神 | Genshin Impact
Characters: Diluc, Diluc's Mother & Crepus (honourary appearances from Kaeya & Adelinde)
Language: English
Words: 933
AO3 Link
Prev | Next
It is amazing how fast time moves. Soon, Diluc is no longer a bundle in my arms; he is now speaking and walking all on his own. Energy from gods knows where and a spirit that can never be deterred. His curiosity never satiated, always looking for more and more things. Climbing over rocks and up trees.
However, with this newfound freedom and curiosity, my dear Diluc soon discovers scraps and cuts. Things that only I could help with. Special mother powers as I had told Diluc.
Today was a particularly difficult day; it had been raining, causing the dirt to turn into mud that was as slippery as ice.
Not long after excitedly leaving my grasp behind to catch a crystal fly, Diluc had managed to take a tumble. No major injuries, but a scraped knee still required a quick clean and the special touch of his mother's healing—a kiss of magic. After I had picked up my softly crying Diluc, I carried him inside and sat him in front of the fire. I set to work cleaning off any visible mud and making sure the open wound would be free from any infection. Through the sniffles and choked-off sobs, I heard a murmur barely audible.
"Diluc dear, mother cannot hear you. Can you speak louder, please?" I set down the cloth and grabbed his hands, reassuring him that he had my full attention and that there was no rush.
"Can I have a magic kiss?" Had I not leaned closer, I would have missed the whisper.
"Of course. Anything else mother can do?"
A small shake of his head provided the answer. I leaned forward and kissed the crown of his head. His fiery red hair, as wild as his father’s, tickled my nose.
I provided a reassuring hand to smooth his unruly locks. "Magic kisses make everything better."
That night, the sniffles of our son returned, but for a different reason. During his exploration of the mud, Diluc had caught a cold. He was sick. His nose was blocked, and a fever tried to win first against the fire burning in the living room.
Diluc was cradled in my arms, just like when he was a baby. His sniffles continued as I ran my hand through his hair. I kept it out of his eyes and tried to help him sleep.
"Dear, Adelinde has prepared fresh sleep attire and brought extra pillows for him." Crepus watched me rise from the chair and met me at the base of the stairs. He threw worried glances at our son, worry etched into his brow.
"Crepus, dear, the wind will change, and your face will be stuck like that." I joked, poking his cheek. My smile was forced, but soon his face relaxed. His hand found the small of my back as he guided us up the stairs and into the young boy's room.
Adelinde was waiting with a bowl of cool water and a rag to help reduce the temperature. I nodded in thanks as I sat gently on his bed.
"I'm going to remain here through the night. I do not think I could dare pry Diluc off me. The last time I tried, he made a very convincing protest." I continued speaking as I adjusted my position on the bed so that Diluc was resting on my chest rather than cradled in my arms. "Besides, he hasn't been this sick before, and I'm worried."
Crepus moved beside the bed and nodded as he took my hand. "Your concern is of the utmost importance. I will make sure that anything our son needs to get better is provided." As he finished, he rose from the floor and placed a kiss on both of our foreheads before quietly exiting the room. Adelinde sat on the edge of the bed and placed the cloth on Diluc's burning forehead. He made a small grumble before seeking comfort once more.
I kissed his forehead and whispered, "Magic kisses fix everything."
I heard a small "really" before sleep took Diluc once more.
Throughout the night, he slept in small pockets, and by morning, his temperature was at a stable place. Cool cloths were still continually placed on his forehead as a precaution. By midday, Diluc nearly had his full energy back.
In the afternoon, I felt a gentle tug on my skirt followed by a question: "Do magic kisses really work on everything?" His eyes were wide and full of burning curiosity.
I knelt next to him and whispered, "Of course. Magic kisses heal cuts, scrapes, bruises, and even sickness."
"Is that why I feel better today?"
"Yes, I gave you lots of magic kisses, and now you're all better." I grabbed his hand. "Diluc dear, let's go and find your father so we can share the wonder of magic kisses."
His face lit up as he began pulling me along to his father's study with a string of yeses. He burst into the room, practically dragging me behind him.
"Father! Father! Did you know that magic kisses can make everything better?" Diluc's voice was a mix of excitement and the remnants of his recent sickness, but the enthusiasm was clear.
Crepus looked up from his desk, a smile spreading across his face. "Is that so? Well, we must be very lucky to have such magic in our home."
I watched as the two of them shared a moment of understanding. Diluc's boundless energy seemed to infect the room, and I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride and love for our little family.

9 Carpet Cleaning Tips for Pet Owners
Pet ownership brings immense joy and companionship, but it also comes with its fair share of challenges, especially when it comes to maintaining a clean and fresh home environment. One common issue faced by pet owners is keeping carpets free from stains and odours. We will explore some effective carpet cleaning tips tailored specifically for those who share their homes with furry friends.
Immediate Action is Key:
The moment a pet-related accident occurs on your carpet, swift action is crucial. Blot the affected area gently with a clean, absorbent cloth or paper towel to soak up as much of the liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing the stain, as it may spread and push the liquid deeper into the carpet fibres.
Choosing the Right Cleaning Solutions:
Not all cleaning solutions are created equal, and this holds especially true for homes with pets. Opt for pet-friendly cleaning products or create your DIY solution using common household items. A mixture of white vinegar and water is effective for neutralising odours, while a baking soda paste can help tackle tough stains. Always test any cleaning solution in an inconspicuous area to ensure it won't cause discolouration.
Regular Vacuuming:
Pet hair and dander can quickly accumulate on your carpet, contributing to odours and potential allergens. Regular vacuuming is essential to keep these issues at bay. Invest in a high-quality vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter to effectively capture pet hair and allergens. Aim to vacuum at least twice a week, focusing on high-traffic areas and places where your pet likes to spend time.
Tumblr media
Professional Carpet Cleaning Services:
While regular maintenance is vital, it's also wise to enlist the help of professional carpet cleaning services. These services have the expertise and equipment to deep clean your carpets, removing embedded dirt, stains, and odours. Schedule a professional cleaning at least once a year, or more frequently if your pet is prone to accidents. Professional cleaners can use steam cleaning or hot water extraction methods, which are particularly effective for pet-related issues.
Stain-Resistant Carpets:
Consider investing in stain-resistant carpets, especially if you have a young or particularly active pet. Get carpets that repel spills. They're great for pet owners who want a clean and neat home.
Regular Grooming for Pets:
Prevention is often the best strategy when it comes to maintaining clean carpets. Regular grooming for your pets can significantly reduce shedding and the spread of dander. Brush your pet's fur outside to minimise the loose hair that finds its way onto your carpets. Additionally, keeping your pet's paws clean before they enter the house can prevent dirt and mud from being tracked onto your carpets.
Odour Neutralisers:
Even with regular cleaning, pet odours can linger in carpets. Using odour-neutralising products, such as pet-safe carpet powders or sprays, can help keep your home smelling fresh. These products work to eliminate odours at the source, providing a long-lasting solution for pet-related smells.
Training and Routine:
Pet training is fundamental to avoiding accidents on your carpets. Establish a routine for feeding, bathroom breaks, and playtime to reduce the likelihood of accidents. Positive reinforcement during training can also contribute to better behaviour and fewer incidents.
Tumblr media
Rotate Pet Toys and Bedding:
Regularly washing and rotating your pet's toys, bedding, and blankets can help reduce the transfer of dirt and odours to your carpets. Choose machine-washable items and follow the care instructions to keep your pet's belongings clean and fresh. This simple practice can contribute to a neat living space overall.
Conclusion:
Maintaining clean carpets in a pet-friendly home requires a combination of preventive measures, immediate action, and regular cleaning routines. With these tips, you have a clean space for your furry friends and a spotlessly clean living environment for the entire family.

In Melbourne, where homes and offices often feature lush carpets, knowing these secrets can be invaluable. From DIY solutions to professional services, Melbourne offers a range of options for tackling carpet stains effectively.
Act Quickly: The golden rule of carpet stain removal is to act promptly. The longer a stain sits on your carpet, the harder it becomes to remove. As soon as a spill occurs, grab a clean cloth or paper towel and blot the area gently to soak up as much of the liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing the stain, as it can spread it further into the carpet fibers.
Identify the Stain: Different stains require different treatment methods. Before you start cleaning, identify the type of stain you're dealing with. Common stains include coffee, wine, pet urine, grease, and mud. Once you know what you're up against, you can choose the most appropriate cleaning solution.
DIY Cleaning Solutions: Melbourne residents often turn to homemade cleaning solutions for tackling carpet stains. For instance, a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water can be effective against many types of stains. Baking soda is another household staple that works wonders for absorbing odors and lifting stains. Additionally, a solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water can help break down grease and oil stains.
Steam Cleaning: Steam cleaning, also known as hot water extraction, is a popular method for deep cleaning carpets in Melbourne. This technique involves using hot water and detergent under high pressure to penetrate deep into the carpet fibers, loosening dirt, stains, and allergens. Steam cleaning can effectively remove stubborn stains and leave your carpet looking fresh and revitalized.
Professional Carpet Cleaning Services: When DIY methods fall short, or you're dealing with particularly stubborn stains, professional carpet cleaning services in Melbourne can come to the rescue. These professionals have the expertise, specialized equipment, and commercial-grade cleaning products to tackle even the toughest stains. Whether it's a one-time deep clean or regular maintenance, investing in professional carpet cleaning can extend the life of your carpet and keep it looking its best.

Fortunately, there are plenty of environmentally conscious carpet cleaning companies in Melbourne that offer non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning products and methods. These options are not only safer for your family and pets but also help reduce your carbon footprint.
Regular Maintenance: Prevention is often the best strategy when it comes to carpet stains. By implementing a regular maintenance routine, you can minimize the risk of spills and accidents. Vacuuming your carpet regularly removes dirt and debris that can attract stains. Additionally, consider using rugs or mats in high-traffic areas to protect your carpet from wear and tear.
Professional Advice and Tips: Many carpet cleaning companies in Melbourne offer free consultations and advice on stain removal and carpet maintenance. Take advantage of these resources to learn about the best practices for keeping your carpet clean and stain-free. Professionals can provide personalized recommendations based on your specific needs and the type of carpet you have.

"Light... shit-" Came grunted from her tent; her fine dress was long-ruined, the hem caked in mud and other debris as the Sayage entourage trudged back into camp. It would have been wildly inappropriate for her to petition some of the men for help with loosening up her corset, and it was absolutely an hour-long affair.
Yelena had taken many breaks in between laces; she thought her lungs and chest were going to burst. She wiggled and hopped around in her tent, and when her fingers couldn't reach some of the mid-back laces, her face flushed with anger.
Loosing a growl, it was a throaty sound that was definitely less than human, her shoulders forced themselves to relax lest she tear a muscle or break a shoulder.
"Bullshit. This is BULLSHIT-" she grumbled, flexing deft fingers in front of her to stretch them.
"Bu-" Yelena sighed, shaking her head. There was some etiquette to follow, and Burrich had probably snuck off to go see her sister by now anyway. Were there any women in this camp? She wasn't sure, really. Squinting, she caught her weapons belt in the firelight, and compressed her lips.
Waddling through more mud, she bent stiffly at the waist, reaching with effort, down to her pile of clothing. Forgetting to breathe as one of the bones of the corset proceeded to stab her in the ribcage, she whined out a breath and forced the spots out of her vision.
"This is considered fashion... fucking... torture..." She growled, buckling her knees and without being able to properly bend or reach, awkwardly eased to the right with a straight arm, wiggling her fingers at her daggers. Loosing one steel blade from it's place in a sheath, she could finally taste salvation; air.
Standing upright, she struggled to exhale again. Poising the dagger in her hand, she held some of her skirts out and plunged the sharp blade through the delicate cloth.
"Fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you--" She grumbled as each lace and thread were torn open, slicing her corset clean off of her torso. Dropping the dagger wetly on the ground, she yanked the sleeves off of her wrists and shimmied out, the lukewarm air kissing sweaty skin like a breath of fresh air - it was close enough.
Gasping, she gulped in a breath of air like she had been strangled for three hours. It sure felt like it.
"It's only once a year, Yelena.. if that.. I hope it's fucking NEVER-" She grunted as she yanked the bodice off of her hips completely, wiggling said hips to shimmy free of the skirts, too. Yelena had cut straight through the dressing gown, too, and in a final hurrah, tore that off of her body, too.
Kicking the limp, damp with sweat and mud, cloth off to the side, there she stood, triumphant and naked in the middle of her tent.
"I'm fucking hungry."

1.Seasonal Deep Cleaning:
Minneapolis residents are familiar with the distinct seasons, each presenting its own cleaning challenges. From snow and mud in winter to pollen in spring, starting each season with a deep cleaning is crucial. We recommend scheduling a professional deep clean to address seasonal concerns thoroughly. Our expertise in seasonal cleaning ensures your home is prepared for whatever weather Minneapolis throws its way.
2.Effective Carpet Care:
Minneapolis's harsh winters mean carpets often bear the brunt of muddy boots and salt stains. We suggest a practical solution: sprinkle baking soda on your carpets before vacuuming. This simple hack not only helps neutralize odors but also lifts dirt from carpet fibers, leaving your home with a fresh and inviting atmosphere.
3.DIY All-Purpose Cleaner:
As a leading cleaning company in Minneapolis, we understand the importance of eco-friendly cleaning solutions. Create your own all-purpose cleaner by mixing equal parts water and white vinegar, adding a few drops of essential oil for a pleasant scent. This DIY cleaner is effective for various surfaces, promoting a healthy and sustainable cleaning routine.
4.Mastering the Art of Dusting:
Minneapolis's dry winter months can lead to the accumulation of dust in various corners of your home. We recommend using an old sock or microfiber cloth sprayed with their specially formulated dusting solution. This method efficiently captures and removes dust from surfaces, including often overlooked areas like ceiling fan blades and baseboards.
5.Frozen Grime Be Gone:
Addressing mud and salt stains from winter can be a common concern for Minneapolis homeowners. We suggest a unique approach – freeze a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar in ice cube trays. Rub the ice cubes on stubborn stains to lift them easily, particularly beneficial for maintaining clean entryways and preventing winter grime from spreading throughout your home.
6.Microwave Deep-Clean:
Minneapolis kitchens, like any others, can accumulate grime, especially in appliances such as the microwave. We recommend a simple yet effective solution: place a bowl of water with a few slices of lemon inside the microwave and heat it for a few minutes. The steam generated will loosen food splatters, making it easier to wipe away grime and leaving your kitchen appliances sparkling clean.
7.Revitalize Your Mattress:
We recognize the importance of a clean mattress for Minneapolis residents seeking a good night's sleep. They recommend sprinkling baking soda on your mattress, letting it sit for a few hours, and then vacuuming it up. This not only eliminates odors but also absorbs moisture, ensuring your mattress stays fresh and comfortable.

8.Gleaming Stainless Steel:
Stainless steel appliances are a popular choice in Minneapolis homes, but they can be prone to fingerprints and smudges. We advise homeowners to mix olive oil and white vinegar in a spray bottle and use it to wipe down stainless steel surfaces. This not only removes fingerprints but also leaves a streak-free shine, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of your kitchen.
9.Window Washing Wisdom:
Minnesota's vibrant seasons mean windows can quickly accumulate dirt and grime. We recommend a practical window cleaning solution: mix water and a small amount of dish soap in a bucket, use a squeegee for a streak-free finish, and don't forget to clean both the inside and outside of your windows for crystal-clear views of the Minneapolis skyline.
10.Organize for Efficiency:
Maintaining a spotless home is not just about cleaning; it's also about maintaining order. We emphasize the importance of investing in storage solutions to keep clutter at bay. Regular decluttering and organizing of belongings make the cleaning process more manageable, creating a more efficient and visually pleasing living space.
In the heart of Minneapolis, where the changing seasons demand unique cleaning solutions, We stand as a reliable partner for maintaining a spotless home. Expert Tricks for Removing Stubborn Stains from Your Car Seats
Tumblr media
Maintaining the cleanliness of your car's interior is just as important as keeping the exterior looking pristine. However, despite our best efforts, stains on car seats can be a common occurrence. Whether it's spilled coffee, grease from fast food, or dirt from outdoor adventures, stubborn stains can be a headache to remove. Fortunately, with the right techniques and products, you can tackle even the toughest stains effectively. Here are some expert tricks for removing stubborn stains from your car seats:
Act Quickly: Addressing stains promptly is crucial for successfully removing them. As soon as you notice a spill or stain on your car seats, blot it with a clean cloth or paper towel to absorb as much of the liquid as possible.
Identify the Stain: Different stains require different cleaning methods, so it's essential to identify the type of stain you're dealing with. Common types of stains on car seats include food and beverage spills, grease and oil stains, ink marks, and dirt and mud. Knowing what you're up against will help you choose the right cleaning products and techniques.
Test in an Inconspicuous Area: Before applying any car cleaning products to the entire stain, test them in a small, inconspicuous area of the car seat to ensure they won't cause damage or discoloration.
Use the Right Cleaning Products: There are numerous car upholstery cleaners available on the market, but not all are suitable for every type of stain or fabric. Look for cleaners specifically formulated for the type of material your car seats are made from (e.g., fabric, leather, vinyl) and the type of stain you're trying to remove.
Steam Cleaning: Steam cleaning is an effective method for lifting and removing stubborn stains from car seats. A steam cleaning can penetrate deep into the fabric or upholstery, loosening dirt, grease, and stains without the need for harsh chemicals. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully when using a steam cleaner.
Shampoo Wash Detailing: Shampoo wash detailing involves using a specialized upholstery shampoo to deep clean car seats and remove tough stains. This method typically requires a combination of scrubbing and vacuuming to lift dirt and stains from the fabric. Consider hiring a professional car detailing service for a thorough shampoo wash detailing.
Spot Cleaning: For small, localized stains, spot cleaning may be all that's needed to remove them. Apply a small amount of upholstery cleaner to a clean cloth or sponge and gently blot the stain, working from the outside in to prevent it from spreading.
Patience and Persistence: Removing stubborn stains from car seats may require multiple attempts and some patience. Avoid scrubbing too aggressively, as this can damage the fabric or upholstery. Instead, take your time and work methodically, applying gentle pressure and allowing the cleaning products to penetrate the stain.
Protective Measures: Once you've successfully removed the stains from your car seats, consider applying a fabric or leather protectant to help prevent future stains and spills from penetrating the material. Regular maintenance, such as vacuuming and spot cleaning, can also help keep your car seats looking clean and fresh.
Professional Assistance: If you're struggling to remove stubborn stains from your car seats or prefer to leave it to the experts, consider hiring a professional car detailing service. Experienced detailers have the knowledge, tools, and techniques to tackle even the most stubborn stains effectively.
By following these expert tricks and techniques, you can effectively remove stubborn stains from your car seats and restore them to their original condition. Whether you opt for DIY cleaning methods or enlist the help of a professional car detailing service, maintaining clean and stain-free car seats will enhance the overall appearance and comfort of your vehicle.
