2023 Prompt List

The 2023 Prompt List is here!

Clown Month is an event held in July, in the same vein as Inktober or Mermay, where you create one piece of art for every day of the month.

The only goal of the event is to inspire art and celebrate clowns, so the prompts are entirely optional - you can skip prompts, combine them, ignore them entirely, only do certain days... just have fun!

This is open to all forms of art! Drawing, writing, makeup, doll-making, ...

If you want me to reblog something you made for/is inspired by the event, you can: 1. tag me in the post 2. use the tag #clown month 2023 or 3. send it as an ask or a submission.

If you do NOT want me to reblog your work, please say so in your post.

I'm really going to have to be less of a perfectionist, or I'm going to burn out in no time....

The idea was to take Commedia dell'Arte characters and translate their outfits into something more modern, the kind of thing you'd see at pride :]

Secret Santa gift for @titaniumions as part of @clownartmonth ‘s event!

Merry Christmas @titaniumions , I hope your holidays are going well. I hope you enjoy your gift! I tried to keep some of the elements of the original look while leaning more heavily into the clown aesthetic, I’m not sure if I didn’t go too far into that to the detriment of the scary aspect of the character, I suppose you’ll have to be judge of that

A few days late for Christmas proper, but here's my @clownartmonth secret santa present for @face-monster ! I tried to make her wallpaper sized and fun, I hope you like it! <3

This is my art for the second day of Clown art month! Pride!! I was just gonna do a pride/rainbow colored clown, but then I got to thinking of making a couple for it, and I eventually got this. They're a play on a traditional nuclear family, but they're both vintage housewives with a beautiful daughter and a "circus peanut" son. One is the lesbian pride flag and the other is the bi pride flag. It isn't really noticable on either of them but I think it's cute that it's subtle. The weird shapes in the background is their family set of aerial hoops. The biggest circle is for the ginger clown, the heart is for her wife, the smaller circle is for their daughter and the smallest is for their son when he's old enough. They're freaking adorable I can't

Clown Month Day 22: Strawberry!!

This is the last piece I was able to save from my broken tablet. I might redraw one or two of the prompts, but this might be the last one.
