i am a little worried that there won't be a wm (or a wm as they know it) for sandeul and onf to come back to. that would be such a shame after the huge leaps of faith they took in re-signing/ enlisting together. i really hope it pays off for them, they all deserve it so much. what is your dream scenario for wm activities in the next year?

honestly, I'm just trying not to think too much about it but I kinda share the same concerns. WM is obviously not in the best situation, and RBW doesn't appear to have any laid out plans to improve it.

God, I don't even know what my dream scenario would be. I just want the company to stay successful enough to keep the groups they already have afloat... but I guess in a perfect world, given the current situation:

Do something with Chaeyeon... I know all the other girl trainees are basically gone, but I hope they can at least keep some public and fan interest by giving her show appearances, brand deals, etc.

Keep Oh My Girl together... do what they need to to keep Jiho and Mimi with the company. Oh My Girl at this point will be the breadwinners, and they need to make sure they're supported and happy.

Give Yuto a single (or EP) to promote. Use his strengths as an all-rounder and dancer. Put him on a dance competition show if needed (and if he's interested)

A Shinchan promoted single would be nice. Or, if Gongchan isn't interested, a CNU EP/mixtape would be awesome. Especially since that would be something fairly inexpensive for the company to produce (especially if it's just a mixtape) that would still sell good enough with Bipo's fanbase.

A/N: This story started out with the prompt mentioned, which is why I left it credited. But, as I wrote it, it took a completely different turn. Writing Prompt #174: “We could’ve had everything. But you were too busy chasing nothing to notice.” cr. @ourwritingprompts

 I’m so sorry, babe. It might be a few more minutes… You read the text that Shinwoo sent about an hour ago and sighed. You had bought basketball tickets for him as a surprise. And you should've known that with his schedule a surprise probably wasn’t the best idea. Still, he was more than happy and tried his best to get the day off. It didn't happen but he did promise to be off work in time. That also didn’t happen.

You sighed as you watched the game you both were supposed to be at go to commercial. Half way into the second quarter there was a knock at your door. You shut off the tv and the lights in a blink of an eye.

“I’m so sorry!” Shinwoo exclaimed as you rushed to lock the door behind you.

“It’s okay, let's go! We can probably get the second half!” You called back as you sprinted to his car…  

... 

“Hey,” he started slowly as he turned onto the freeway. “I know that you did this for me and I’m so sorry that I ruined it.”

You look at him through the dashboard lights and smiled a small smile and took his right hand in yours. He glanced at you and held back.

“Don't worry,” you said, “It’s not your fault. Plus, we can make that last quarter if we're lucky.”

“Yeah~” he started slowly, “We’re not,” Shinwoo said gravely. You looked and saw nothing but brake lights. As Shinwoo slowed to a stop, you looked up the traffic on your phone.

“Six car pile-up, just happened,” you groaned and Shinwoo put the car in park.

“Looks like we'll be here a while…” He looked at you with disappointment in his brown eyes, a look that you were maybe getting tired of.

“Stop being sorry,” you told him strictly and he sat up a little straighter at the tone of your voice. You continued, “Your work is important to you and to me. If it takes a couple more hours to get the right recording then it takes a couple of hours, Shinwoo. Yes, I wanted to do something for you and it’s a little disappointing that we couldn’t see the game in person. But, I think there’s a bag of chips in here somewhere and there’s good old fashion radio. We can listen to the game and you can make it up to me later. I just don’t want our time together to be ruined so stop being sorry.”

You took a deep breath after your small rant. It was true and you didn’t regret saying it. It’s just that his pauses as he sorted out his thoughts made you a little nervous of what he might say. This relationship was only two months old. And the both of you were still trying to figure out scheduling and time together. He finally took a deep breath and looked you in the eyes.

“You’re right,” he started, “I didn’t mean to make you feel bad as well. It’s just that, we don’t get to see each other often and I wanted to do this for you since you thought of me. But, I don’t want to get caught up in feeling bad about missing the game. I should focus on the fact that I have you, with me, in this car, for who knows how long.” He smiled coyly in his last sentence getting a smile out of you.

“Well,” you said slowly, “I mean, there are other things we can do in a small, confined space…” You let your fingers trail up his arm, across his collarbone, and a little down his chest before his hand caught yours. He smiled and leaned in close to kiss your cheek, your heart skipping a beat.

“We can practice scales,” he whispered into your ear.

“What?!” You pushed against his chest as he laughed.

“Mixolydian, dorian, augmented! We have all this time!”

“Oh my gosh!” you scoffed and chuckled mostly out of how flustered you just were. He took both your hands in his and kissed them.

“I don’t want to rush anything,” he said softly. “And doing something in a car is pretty far into the future right now.”

“Car stuff is, like, first base stuff!” You argued. He smiled and shook his head.

“I’d rather enjoy you without the accident in the background, if that’s okay with you.” Oh. The accident. You had forgot that you were stuck on a freeway because of an accident. You smiled a little apologetically.

“I guess that does kinda ruin the mood.”

“Plus, I think we’re moving now.” You look out the windshield and saw the cars in the distance start to inch forward. You both sat back in your seats and you turned the radio to the game just in time to hear the final score, 128-72.

“Oh, we lost.” You said softly.

“Good thing we weren’t there; that’s a pretty bad loss.” You held his right hand as you switched the radio to music and just enjoyed being with him.

“Y/n,” he started as the traffic finally allowed him to get of the freeway.

“Hm?”

“Can I make it up to you tonight?”

“What do you mean?” He took a quick breath and squeezed your hand a bit.

“Can I spend the night at your place?”

The question caught you off guard but nevertheless, your heart still soared. You and Shinwoo, snuggled on your couch, watching tv, eating ice cream? Even more though, waking up to Shinwoo? Yes. A thousand times yes.

“Of course,” you said as calmly as you could. “First, let’s go buy some ice cream.”
