i started watching armored trooper votoms the other day and im like 8 episodes in now and its like.... idk man idk if im gonna keep watching it....... i really really like the shows soundtrack and the scope dog is honestly a legendary mech design i love it so much but the show has not really captured or enthralled me. so who knows. maybe i have some votoms super fan following me who will encourage me to stick with it but idk

So I decided to read some more Dumas (Queen Margot this time) and the la Mole + Coconnas bromance is bananas even by the standards of Dumas bromances? Where else would two dudes

become friends and bond over menacing a rando innkeeper, then

one attempts to kill the other in a religious massacre, then

they're both wounded and convalesce separately under the care of different ladies who happen to be BFFs, then

said ladies accidentally bring them back together, whereupon

they decide to duel, and

succeed in severely wounding each other a second time, but

this time they are sent to the same place to convalesce, and

during this extended period of convalescence one makes repeated attempts to stab the other, but

the other guy nurses him back to health anyway, and

now they're each other's wingmen

(and go menace the rando innkeeper again for old times' sake)

Okay. So Dumas wrote a story about two guys who have a somewhat affair with the Queen and her best friend. But one of them is actually only there for the other dude, loving him pretty desperately while acting to be interested in the best friend of the Queen. And the other one is in a pretty toxic, pretty obsessive romance with the Queen, not realizing fully that he actually has feelings for the guy whom he would be way happier with and in a way more established relationship... The slow burn is barely endurable.

I wonder why the hell people havent said this about tokyo ghoul I mean... I know tg isnt always gore but the mutsuki arc man.

some people were like that especially during mutsuki’s arc. but not to the extent that I’ve seen in the KS fandom. I’m guessing for TG since it’s been around longer, it’s about restating what has been said since 2012 but since KS is fairly new, some people feel the need to restate the obvious in a short span of time. Kind of like they are making up for the times that KS was not so popular
